On this day of Beacon, the students were in Glynda's combat class, where they'd learn specific combat sips from the Wicked Witch of the West and test their skills against each other. The current matchup was Jaune Vs Cardin and the former, wasn't doing too well for himself. The two were put into a weapon lock as the latter grinned at him.

Cardin: "This is the part where you lose."

Jaune: "Over my dead bo-"

He was rudely cut off by Cardin kneeing him in the gut, causing him to fall over in pain. Cardin rose his mace up into the air and got ready to strike down on Jaune but he was stopped by the buzzer going and Glynda ending the match.

Glynda: "Cardin, that's enough. Students as you see, Mr. Arc's Aura has dropped into the red. In a tournament style dual, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle. And they officially may call the match. Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now, please try to refer to your scroll during combat. Gauging your Aura will help you to decide when it is important to attack or when it's better to move to a more defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf, would we?"

Cardin: "Speak for yourself." Glynda just glared at him before addressing the entire class.

Glynda: "Remember everyone! The Vytal Festival is only a few months away, and it won't be long before students from other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing. Those who choose to compete, will be representing all of Vale." Looking to Teams RWBY and WOLF, Ruby, Weiss and Yang looked excited Akito just sighed as Setsuna was just confused.

Akito: "Too bad Setsu and I can't compete..." Blake next to him, just pats his shoulder. However, when the black wolf looked over to his long term friend, Pyrrha Nikos, he realized she was looking sadly at her leader, Jaune, who just walked away hanging his head.

Spring: "Welp! Time for more drama!"

>Chapter 5: Bullies<

Nora: "So... There we were... in the middle of the night..."

Ren: "It was day..."

Nora: "We were surrounded by Ursai."

Ren: "They were Beowolves..."

Nora: "DOZENS OF THEM!!!"

Ren: "...Two of them."

Nora: "But they were no match and in the end, Ren and I took them down and make a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs."

In the cafeteria, Teams RWBY, JNPR and WOLF were all sitting around a table as Nora told her and Ren's story. Yang and Setsuna seemed interested while Weiss, Blake and Akito weren't. Ruby and Pyrrha on the other hand, were watching Jaune in concern, who was picking at his food.

Ren: *sigh* "She's been having the same recurring dream for nearly a month now."

Pyrrha: "Jaune... Are you okay?"

Jaune: "Huh? Oh yeah! Why?"

Ruby: "It's just that you seem a little... not okay." Jaune then began to laugh nervously.

Jaune: "Eh, guys, I'm fine... Seriously look!"

He tried to put on a fake smile but no one bought it. At the same time, they noticed Team CRDL picking on Velvet.

Pyrrha: "Jaune, Cardin has been picking on you since the first week of school."

Jaune: "Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah, he just likes to play jokes, and mess around. You know? Practical Jokes!"

Ruby: "He's a bully."

Jaune: "Oh please. Name one time he's 'bullied' me."

Yang: "Alright! The time he knocked your books out of your hand."

Blake: "Those poor books..." She mumbled under her breath while Akito next to her shook his head and just pet her head, causing her bow to twitch slightly.

Jaune: "Just a little inside joke."

Akito: "The time he activated your shield in the doorway, causing you to get stuck."

Jaune: *shrug* "Accident."

Summer: "Suuure it was..."

Ruby: "The time he shoved you into your rocket locker and sent you flying, out of the school." They all just stared at him as he tried to play it off as another 'joke'.

Jaune: "I didn't land that far from the school..."

Pyrrha: "Jaune, you know if you ever need help, you could just ask." Nora suddenly jumped up from her seat and proudly stood in it.

Nora: "Oh!!! We'll break his LEGS!"

Setsuna: "Setsuna says yes!! Let's break him good!!" She yelled equally excited as she stood up

Autumn: "Get him girls!!!"

Winter: *sighs* "Of course..."

Jaune: "Guys, really it's fine. Besides, it's not like he's only a jerk to me, he's a jerk to everyone."

Velvet: "OW! That hurts!" Everyone turned around to see Team CRDL still picking on Velvet Scarlatina, a second year bunny Faunus girl, with Cardin pulling on her ears.

Velvet: "Please stop!"

Cardin: "I told you it was real!"

Russel: "What a freak!"

Akito watched, keeping his emotions in check though the noticeable growling of Setsuna caught his attention. He immediately held her back, as to not cause a scene, but immediately after, loud hissing caught the entire Cafeteria's attention. Chills went down the spines of Team CRDL, before a noticeable and girly screech from Dove was heard as slithering towards him and the team was Grimm King Taijitu. It wasn't massive like the one Ren encountered in the Emerald Forest, but it still towered over them all easily. Everyone was alarmed and was about to get the professors involved, only to be shocked to see that the King Taijitu didn't attack. In fact, it slithered over to Velvet who was noticeably shocked and wrapped itself around her in a surprisingly protective manor. The white head hissed aggressively at Team CRDL while the black head looked at Velvet, almost as if watching to make sure nothing hurts her.

Jaune: "W-What?? That thing's not attacking.."

Ren: "Rather it's..."

Weiss: "...Protecting Velvet??"

???: "Easy girl." A male voice said as everyone turned to look behind Team CRDL, where a male with black hair and green eyes was. He was approaching then with his hands in his pockets before he walked past the all male team and over to Velvet and the King Taijitu who surprisingly lowered its white head as the male scratched its neck gently.

Cardin: "Are you stupid!? That thing will kill us all!"

???: "A normal one, yes. This one however, not unless I command it to." He said. Looking at the King Taijitu more carefully, there was a key difference; its eyes were glowing green. "So... Are you going to leave Velvet alone or no? Cause I can easily snap my fingers and.."

The King Taijitu released an aggressive hiss at the Team, who chose the smart decision and retreated hurriedly. Everyone, including Velvet just looked in shock as the male snapped his fingers, causing for the Grimm behind him to disappear into black smoke before he turned to the bunny girl.

Velvet: "Y-Yakumo..." The male, who was a slightly taller than her from the head but her ears still made her a bit taller, looked at her.

(Yakumo Daigo)

Yakumo: "Are you okay, Velvet..?"

Velvet: "O-Oh! Yeah." She was stuttering, not from what just happened however.. She was blushing clearly.

S.S.A.W: "Whoa..."

Yang: "What... just happened?"

Weiss: "Did Yakumo... just summon a Grimm?"

Nora: "He... Did!!!" she suddenly gasped excitedly as she began jumping in place. "You think he could summon an Ursa!? I want a rodeo!"

Ren: *facepalms* "Nora..."

Pyrrha: "Atrocious.. I cannot stand people like Cardin." She said with a slight scowl as she turned to face the others.

Blake: "You're not the only one..."

Yang: "It must be hard being a Faunus..."

Akito: "Yeah... You don't say..." He said as his ears flattened slightly while he was calming down Setsuna, who was taking deep breaths to calm herself down.

Now the group was in Professor Oobleck's history class, listening and watching as the man in question zipped around the classroom at speeds that would make Ruby jealous.

Oobleck: "Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution, more popularly known as the Faunus War, humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie." He paused for a second before sipping from his cup and zipping off again. "Now! While this feels like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that there are relatively recent events! Why the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day!"

Then he paused and took another sip before zipping off.

Akito: "What the hell is in that thing..."

Blake: "Good question..."

Oobleck: "Now! Have any of you been subjected or discriminated because of your Faunus traits?"

A couple of Faunus students raised their hands, along with Akito and Setsuna. Blake however, did not. Velvet was hesitant but after looking at Yakumo who sat beside her and nodded his head, she too raised her hand.

Oobleck: "Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember students, it's precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence! I mean, I mean I mean look at what happened to the White Fang! Now which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorists believe to be the turning point in the third year of the war?" Weiss immediately rose her hand. "Yes?"

Weiss: "The battle at Fort Castle!"

Oobleck: "Precisely! And who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?" As he asked that, Cardin flicking a paper ball at the sleeping Jaune, who woke up due to the impact.

Jaune: "Hey!" Upon hearing him, Oobleck immediately turned his attention to the blonde Arc.

Oobleck: "Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to the class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?"

Jaune: "Uuhh... The answer... the advantage... of the Faunus... had over that guy's stuff..." he looked over at Pyrrha, who was gesturing to her eyes. "U-Um! Binoculars!"

The entire class just began laughing as Pyrrha facepalmed and Akito shook his head in disappointment.

Autumn: "Are you serious!?"

Oobleck: "Very funny, Mr. Arc. Cardin! Perhaps you would like to share your thoughts on the subject?"

Cardin: "Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier." He laid back in his seat with a smug grin.

Pyrrha: "You're not the most open minded of individuals, are you Cardin?"

Cardin: "What? You got a problem?" Akito quickly chimed in.

Akito: "She doesn't, but I will. If you keep talking out your damn ass." Thr auburn haired student scowled at him. "But anyways, I have the correct answer. It's Night Vision."

Blake: "General Lagune was inexperienced and made the mistakes of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched and the General was captured." She started before glared at Cardin. "Perhaps if he'd pay more attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure." This got to Cardin, causing him to get up angered.

Yakumo: "Oi! Calm your damn horses and sit your little ass down, Cardin. Or else..." Appearing next to him in a black smoke, was a Beowolf Grimm, standing on its hind legs and growling at Cardin, who fearfully and slowly sat back down before it disappeared.

Oobleck: "Mr. Winchester, both you and Mr. Arc can see me after class for additional readings." Jaune groaned in sadness.

After classes were over, everyone was exiting Oobleck's classroom to head for their dorms to call it a day, though Pyrrha decided to wait outside.

Pyrrha: "You guys go on ahead. I'm gonna wait for Jaune."

Akito: "Don't be too nice with him, Ketchup Head" the red haired Spartan just rolled her eyes before smiling at him.

Pyrrha: "Whatever, boy who cried wolf."

Akito and Setsuna walked off towards the dorms, though along the way, they ran into a specific green eyed boy. The one that helped Velvet earlier.

Setsuna: "Yaku!" The one in question turned around, as he spotted them and waved at them.

Yakumo: "Yo."

Akito: "Hey, so what are you up to?"

Yakumo: "You know, the usual..." he slowly glanced back to Velvet who was standing in front of a nearly petrified Cardin who was slowly handing her book back to her as a large Grimm Ursa stood behind him, growling.

Akito: "Ah... So is that a Semblance or something? Being able to summon Grimm."

Yakumo: "You... could say that. Though its not your typical Semblance"

Akito: "Well, it certainly is an interesting one" He said as Cardin quickly walked away. Immediately, Velvet turned to face them and waved with a bright smile on her face as the members of Team WOLF waved back with smiles. "Anyways, we'll leave you to your little Bun-Bun."

He shot a smirk to the green eyed boy, who blinked before shaking his head and chuckling as he walked towards Velvet.

As they were talking, Akito and Pyrrha turned around and began walking away with satisfied smiles on their faces.

Weiss: "Where are you two going?"

Ruby: "Yeah, we gotta tell them what happened!"

Akito: "Now where would the fun be in doing that?" He half turned to look at them.

Pyrrha: "Exactly. Besides, it can be our little secret." She smirked as she eyed the wolf who returned the smirk back to her.
