There's some people out there that say Watto is the father while others say it was Palpatine...
As much as I hate the idea of Palpatine being his birth father it makes more sense than a blue alien being the father ...
But people strongly believe Watto is indeed the father ..
Me I don't buy it I don't know who do you guys think is the real father ?

But they are both wrong (I believe so anyway as ) as for Shmi couldn't of have lied to Qui-Gon Jinn about it . She said there was no father which only implies that there was no sexual interaction when Anakin was born .. When Qui-Gon gave Obi -Wan the blood sample he had taken from Anakin , Qui-Gon Jinn tells the Jedi Council he believes a strong concentration of midi-chlorians impregnated Shmi Skywalker (instead of a man). So no human being is or was his father .
