Of course Titan's father had to come home from a business trip right after our date. His mom called and said that his father came home so to come back right away. I dropped him off and that was the last i've seen of him. We haven't seen each other all weekend, but it's Monday again. Unfortunately he goes to school, so that's where i'm going. Ugh, the things I do just to see him.

I take a quick shower and put on a dark, purple shirt along with black, high waisted jeans. My shoes didn't really matter, but I slip on my black vans. My hair is in a tight ponytail and I roll up the sleeves to my shirt, so my tattoo can show. It's my favorite one out of all of them. My parents continued to let me use their car, because I lied and said it was so me and Titan can go on another date. They believed it funny enough.

The conversation was awkward though. Dad remembered Titan from before and apologized for kicking him out. Said that "he didn't know he was a vampire because it sounded like he had a heartbeat." All vampires aren't dead. You can drink vampires blood and die to transition or get bit by a high ranked vampire. Like me, if I bit Titan, he wouldn't die but he could transition. That's not happening any time soon. I didn't bother to correct my dad because I want him to actually like Titan and not try to kill him.

The bakery was one of my stops while driving to the school. Titan's mom has me hooked on chocolate chip cookies. What I didn't know, is that she owned the bakery. The cookies did taste familiar. Hm, who would've thought. Surely not me. Making it to the school, I park in an empty spot and walk into the building without a care in the world. Eyes turned to me, like they always did but I just shrug it off.

Seems like they're surprised that I showed up. Yes, I ditched almost everyday but at least I showed up in the beginning. Sometimes. Titan is at his locker and I sneak up behind him before poking him in the side.

"Ow! What?" he turned around and saw me grinning at him, cookies in hand. "You actually showed up today" he says, surprised as well. Well of course I showed up.

"Yeah, I wanted to see you" I say, and lean in to give him a kiss. He backs away from me and looks at the people that still stood in the halls.

"What's wrong?" confusion in my voice.

"Nothing, just don't kiss me. People are staring."

He doesn't want me kissing him because people are looking? They look at us all the time when we're together, why is now any different?

"I can't kiss my boyfriend because people are looking?" I ask, looking at them as well.

"I'm not your boyfriend. We went on one date, that's all" he says, then looks at me with wide eyes. At least he's honest.

"W-wait, I didn't mean that. It's just-" he starts but I cut him off.

"It's okay, you're right. See you later" I say and walk off into our second class of the day. Titan soon comes in and sits beside me. I put in my earphones and turn my music up to the highest volume. Titan looks like he wants to say something, but doesn't. It's like that for the rest of the class and the bell soon rings. About time. Looks like it's time to ditch again.

"Amaria wait," Titan grabs my arm to stop me from walking off. "I didn't mean to say that earlier."

I shrug and take his hand off my arm.

"It's okay, I understand. We're friends and you're not my boyfriend. Have a good day at school" I start to walk off again and make it outside of the building only to be stopped again. I should stop being a bitch, Titan doesn't know about the bond that we supposedly have. I should take things slow, but I can't help being pissed.

"Stop! Listen to me" Titan. Again.

"We went on a date and it was good. We kissed and that was good too, but people already look at me funny because I hang out with you. What would happen if they saw us kiss?"

"Nothing. See you later."

Titan turns me around and tries to kiss me. This time I back up and put my hands on his shoulder. He shouldn't kiss me if he doesn't want to. I'll get over it, i'm wearing my big girl pants.

"Don't force yourself. Plus people might see us."

"I thought you didn't care?" yeah, I really don't.

"I don't, but you do. Now, i'm trying to skip school if you don't mind."

"I'm coming with you" he says, and stalks off to the car. Stubbornness is one of his many qualities. He gets his way no matter what. Nothing anyone says will change his mind. At all. Sighing, I make my way to the car and get in quickly.

"What's that?" Titan asks, making me turn my head in his direction. He kisses me quickly and sits back in the seat. Sneaky little..I can't even get mad. I'm not complaining I guess. Not when I got a kiss in the end. My mood lifts a little and I decide to brush off what happened at the school.

"I've been wanting to kiss you ever since our date" he admits. Me too, Titan. Me too. I lean in close and capture his lips into another, longer kiss. Ever since the first one, it's like I can't get enough. He's the drug and i'm the addict. We pull away from each other and smile at nothing in particular.

"Your house?" he asks.

"My parents might be home.." there is absolutely no way that Titan is meeting my parents and they are meeting him. They might just let it slip that we're blood sucking vampires and he's my mate. That wouldn't go over too well. Titan might think i'm in a family full of crazy people and will stop talking to me completely. That's one thing that I don't want.

"That's okay, hopefully we meet on better terms."

"I don't know, Titan."

"C'mon please..I want to see your paintings again and just be with you. Plus, I want to give my mom and dad some alone time" he gives me the puppy dog eyes.

"I don't know.."

Next thing you know we're sitting in front of my house. I can't believe this. We get out of the car and walk into my house quietly.

"Amaria? Are you home early again?" my mom walks out of the kitchen, my dad at her side. Who the hell am I kidding? They're both vampires, of course they're going to hear us come in. My mom's eyes land on Titan and a smile takes over her features. Just great.

"You brought him! I'm glad you accepted our offer to eat dinner with us tonight" shut up mom! I never even asked. Titan looks at me confusingly making me look away.

"What dinner..?"

"Mari, did you not ask?" my dad asks, using my nickname. What does it look like dad?

"I forgot" is the lame excuse I come up with. My parents roll their eyes not believing the lie that left my mouth.

"It's just the afternoon, you guys go up the room and hang out while we prepare dinner" my mom suggests. That sounds good to me.

"Leave the door open, we don't want you two doing any-"

"Dad! Shut up and go help mom" I say, pulling Titan all the way to my room. He blushes the whole time and sits on my bed. I close my door anyway and join him. My parents said they did the tango the day they found out they were mates. Do they expect Titan and I to do that? He doesn't even know and I don't plan on telling him.

"I wouldn't mind- it'll be my first time...obviously not your first time- no! I don't mean it like that" I watch in amusement as he trips over his words. He sees me staring at him and stops talking completely.

"I'm just embarrassing myself further aren't I?"

"Not at all my warrior."

"Would you want to do that with me?" would I? Hell yes.

"Yes, but in due time. I just got you to kiss me, we don't need to rush" he relaxes at that and leans back on my headboard. I scoot back so i'm next to him and entangle my fingers with his.

"I want you to be my first, but not now. In time, like you said."

I nod and my chest bursts with happiness as he says that. He doesn't know what he's doing to me at all.

"As for the school thing..I was a little scared earlier, but thinking about it now, I don't care."

"Are you sure?"

"Mhm. I want to kiss you and hold your hand in public without there being complications, Mari." Ah great, dad let my nickname slip.

"Call me anything, but that" I complain, jokingly.

"Fine how about queen" I choke on my spit and look at him crazily.

"Do you not like that? People at school call you that so I thought-" I shut him up by pecking him on the lips.

"It's okay, you can call me that. I don't mind."

Relief washes over his face and he visibly relaxes. He then smiles at me and grabs onto my other hand. This boy is my mate.

I'm definitely not complaining about that.
