Walking into the classroom, Geraldine spots Jayden at a distance. She manages to keep a straight face while she walks up to him. She noticed, five Ss1 students gathered around him. As surprising as it was, he had started without her, but deep down she knew it wasn't something that was suppose to surprise her, it was him after all.

She already knew what was up, and knew what to say.

"Senior Gidi!" Adeola one of the Ss2 students calls out to Geraldine calmly. She seemed to have noticed Geraldine before every other person.

This makes Geraldine give her full attention, that instant she could feel Jayden's gaze fall on her, but tried to act very confident, like she hadn't noticed a soul.

"Good afternoon Senior!" One of the juniors student says, another one follows suit, in a split second, the others follows suites.

"Good afternoon!" Geraldine found herself responding with a geniue smile. "So you guys have been briefed right. Is it just five of you? Mr John said we could go with more..., "

"We have passed that stage!" Jayden voice is heard suddenly, slow and very deep, making Geraldine wonder whose voice it was at first, until her face settles on his.

She tries to keep a straight face, now facing Jayden properly.

"A minute." She says. The tension in the air was too much, even to the students, meanwhile Jayden who looked confused, follows her lead until they were at a place where the junior students couldn't hear whatever theyweree saying.

"Would appreciate if we respect ourselves in front of those students," Geraldine says not pausing a bit, she didn't also miss the look on his face.

It was obvious she was waiting for his response, but it clearly didn't surprise her he didn't respond either.

"It won't be funny, If we start exchanging words in front oftheses students, Mr John won't take it likely too, And trust me, I am ready for that, anyhow you want it, hot or cold." Geraldine says not losing eye contact.

She is shocked when he doesn't respond but starts moving away. Confused and shocked, she stands unmoved, her mouth sealed, even though she wanted to say something, no word seemed to be coming out.

"So let's start." She heard him say. The students gathers around him in less than a minute.

Geraldine walks like a dejected person down to where he stood, at the same time they hear the warning bell. She knew what was next.

"Senior, it's 5 minutes to break over." Adeola, one of the juniors says to Geraldine who knew they had wasted their first meet up.

"Same time tomorrow," Jayden says immediately. It even seemed like he was eager to make them leave.

In less than two minutes they all move out leaving just Jayden and Geraldine in an empty class.
At first, it seems very awkward, this makes Geraldine attempt to work out but gets stopped when she heard the name.

"Geraldine Johnson!"

The fact he called her by her full name made it weirder. She slowly turns to his direction, they both make a stern eye contact, which she breaks quite uneasily.

"We should stop this. It's childish. We are bigger than it, besides what example do you want to set?" Jayden says slowly, shocking her. Because she couldn't believe he could actually talk, or talk this much.

"Me?" Geraldine tries to stress the issue.

"I'm sorry." Jayden says slowly.

To say she was shocked was an understatement, but the look he gave her, made her speechless, all the anger she had in her heart just disappeared. His apology sounded sincere and he looked like a little baby.

Before she could say something else, he was already out of the door.

Cherish hugs herself while she approaches the agric laboratory. The last thing she knew she should do was disobey Ashley. The fact he had been acting nice to her these days didn't mean she should underestimate him, when he said something, he always wanted it done. She didn't know why he asked her to come to the lab, she didn't also want him saying she disobeyed him.

Getting into the lab, she could hear a sound as well as get an odd feeling. She could remember vividly the last time she went to a lab alone and it sent chills into her body.

"Stop it!" She could recognise that voice anywhere, at the same time she bumps into a stool, which causes pain to her leg, letting out a small hiss, she moves the stool to a corner, before looking up.

Her heart skips immediately her gaze falls on Senior Ukeme, who sat on Ashley'slaps. She doesn't meet Ashley's gaze on purpose but was sure he was looking her way.

"What are you doing here?" Ukeme barks at her, scaring the hell out of Cherish who just swallows the lump in her throat.

"Are you deaf?" Ukeme yells at her with an authoritative tone, making him flinch.

"Go over and start cleaning." Ashley's says rather too calm. Making Cherish turn to him for the first time. She couldn't tell what was going on in his head by just looking at him, but he didn't seem like the scary Ashley she used to know. This Ashley was calmer although he was in the process of punishing her, but for what? She couldn't remember doing anything wrong to her. She noticed Ukeme's facial expression turn normal immediately Ashey made that statement, it was obvious she was glad Cherish was there for punishment.

"Oh God! matron said I should meet her, immediately the bell goes off." Ukeme suddenly says facing Ashley and totally ignoring Cherish who just walked slowly to a corner, picks up a rag and starts cleaning. She was back to doing this again, but what offence did she commit now.

"See you during prep!" Ukeme suddenly says now dropping a kiss on Ashley's lips, which caused a discomforting feeling in Cherish stomach, the view made her feel somehow, a way she couldn't understand. But she knew it was a sight she didn't like and wouldn't want to see again.

In less than a minute Ukeme is out of the lab, she doesn't even bother to say anything to her.

There is a sudden silence, which makes Cherish very uncomfortable.

She could feel him advance to where she stood. Feeling suddenly light headed, anxiety gushing over her, she tries to comport herself.

She could feel him get very close to her, grabbing her by the same hand she held the rag, slowly taking it away from her and flinging it away.

"Why are you running away from me? Do I scare you?" That moment she thought he was going to kiss her, because of how close his face was.
That moment, she wondered how that would have felt.

"Cherish!" He calls out bringing her out of her thoughts.

"Ehh!" She responds sharply.

"Why are you running away from me?" He asks slowly.

Cherish couldn't help but look into those eyes she had been scared of looking at. Her heart was pounding. It seemed like she was going to explode.

What was she going to tell him? That she was scared of making an eye contact with him or what? Or she was scared of his friends. She just stood there looking at him, without uttering a word.

"I told you I wanted to be your friend right?" Ashley says slowly.

Cherish who knew if she stood over there for another five minutes she was going to melt, starts fiddling with her fingers. She wasn't scared of him which was confusing, she was scared of looking into his eyes, it always stirred something in her.

"I can be your school Dad," Ashley says and chuckles. She couldn't believe Senior Ashley who always looked for every way to punish her was actually smiling at her. This was all new to her. A boy talking to her. An older boy, not even her age mate, she didn't know how to act.

"Come to SS3 Science during prep. I don't want to hold you down here." He suddenly says, making her more tensed. He attempts to walk out but stops.

"You shouldn't be here alone." He suddenly says. Meanwhile, Cherish moves a bit still not talking.

"She starts walking away slowly.

"Hey! Cherish, " Ashley calls out.

"Please come."

"Gidi!" Geraldine stops immediately she heard her name. She needed no one to tell her it was Jason.

"Ahan, where are you catwalking to? don't break the small waist sha."

Geraldine only nods her head. She had almost forgotten how annoying Jason was.

"The competition is over, calm down." Jason chuckles.

"Not yet. We just came back and Mr John has already assigned me to help SS2 prepare for the debate competition coming up." Geraldine says slowly.

"Oh," Jason responds slowly.

"Are you on duty?" Geraldine suddenly asks, not knowing why she was suddenly in the mood for his company.

"No!" Jason responds.

"Let's go to our class." Geraldine suddenly says.

"That's off-limits!" Jason suddenly says surprised at her request, he didn't hide it too.

"Rules are meant to be broken. It's fun." Geraldine suddenly smile. Neither could she believe this was actually coming from her. But she knew she was changing. On a normal day, she wouldn't even be talking with Jason Adenuga not to talk about stabbing prep.

Jewel could sight Nathan immediately she got into the almost empty hall. He didn't seem to notice her at first, he was clearly focused on the wall. She walks slowly, trying to look normal. She knew what he wanted, especially when he told her not to miss seeing him today.

It was cute, the way he called it there usual spot. So they already had a usual spot? That made her blush.

She knew he wanted an answer, she had the answer already, left to her, she would have said yes the very first time, but she had to keep up with appearances. She was a girl. This was also the first boy she was actually interested in who had the courage to ask her out. She wanted to say yes immediately, but just found herself mute.

"Hey!" Nathan calls out turning to her direction immediately and smiling, making her wonder when and how he noticed her presence. "Thought you weren't coming." He says now advancing towards her, while she let's out a small smile.

"Hey!" She responds slowly, her voice very tiny. He takes her by surprise when he pecks her lips. That moment she had a full picture of Leo doing the same. She hadn't been able to get that picture of her mind. That moment she felt like she had cheated on Nathan. A feeling she didn't appreciate. They weren't dating yet, but she still felt that way.

"I will be your girlfriend." She suddenly blurts out without thinking. She didn't miss the surprise on Nathan's face. He was obviously not expecting the response, she also shocked herself, because she didn't know what came over him. She liked him and wanted to be his girl friend. But was scared of heart break. Nathan was the kind of boy every girl wanted and she knew that.

"I didn't expect that." Nathan let's out a small chuckle, while she suddenly looks down slowly, she bites her lips unaware of how she looked weile doing it. That moment she felt his hand around her waist, while he got closer. She almost flinched and pushed him away when she saw a figure.

The first thing that got into her mind was a teacher. But she felt worse when she saw Leo's figure. Wondering how long he was standing there, she licks her dry lips, quite tensed, funny enough, he doesn't move. He just keep staring at her in a scary way. It was obvious Nathan hadn't noticed him yet, because he seemed busy playing with her hair and making little remarks.
