Jungkook's perspective

This Journey of a few hours seemed endless to me as Yoongi slept through the way. Somewhere it was also a matter of relief as I was not questioned but the thoughts in silence are always loud.

I kept myself busy by preoccupied memories colliding in my head. The more I was getting closer to the destination, the more my anxiety built up though I was relieved to be home again, for some time.

The dusk approached and the night arrived when we finally reached our destination, Busan.

I tried to wake Yoongi up who had his head resting on my shoulder, sleeping peacefully that I didn't want to bother.

"Hey, Yoongi, we are finally here." I spoke softly, trying not to startle him out of his precious sleep.

"Huh...oh!" He woke up, stretching his arms and I finally stood up to get the luggage while he wiped the sleep out of his eyes by rubbing them softly with his fists.

"Ah, give it to me." He asked me to hold his bag.

"Ah, no it's okay, I can carry." I said but he just took it anyway.

"I want one hand of yours to be empty." He whispered and I furrowed my eyebrows but soon smiled when he held my hand.

I giggled softly, taking him out of the train with me. Holding hands is something he dearly loves but will never show though his subtle actions were enough for me to know.

We finally stepped out of the train and my town welcomed me by a soft breeze kissing my face.

It has always been oddly satisfying to me whenever I would breathe the freshly scented air, making me feel like home. The aroma was tingling my senses as I was being engulfed by the enchanted surrounding.

"Welcome to my place, Yoongi." I said to him, owning a warm smile from him which was his signature basic tiny spread of lips.

"So, where's a phone booth, we are not going to give a straight knock on Jimin's door?" He asked, making me chuckle and I checked my wrist watch to check the time.

"It's half past eight now, hope he is not having his dinner." I said, turning around to find the only phone booth on the station.

"There, let's call him." I said, pointing in its direction before taking him to the booth with me.

"Oh hello, Jimin? Ah, what are you upto now? Well, actually I am here in Busan. Would you mind getting me from the station?" I walked out of the booth and smiled at Yoongi.

"Does he know I am here?" He asked, getting clue of the fact.

"He'll know." I whispered, giggling afterwards.

He walked out of the station to wait for him outside to get us. We didn't have to wait for a long while because Jimin was always quick to act and if anything involved his friends then it's a work on snap of fingers.

A familiar car stopped in front of me and Jimin rushed out of it.

"Hey!" He called out as he walked to me and I moved a little away to reveal Yoongi standing behind me and was taken off guard by a high pitched sequel that held pure astonishment.

"YOONGI! OH MY GOD! YOU'RE HERE?" Yoongi just smiled sheepishly but Jimin quickly crushed him in a tight hug and both snuggled into each other's embrace.

Just two balls of fluff, wrapped around each other.

They finally broke the hug and Jimin smiled widely, eyes disappearing but holding pure contentment.

"I still can't believe you're here." He said to Yoongi in almost an inaudible whisper, enough for me to hear.

"As I promised, I will come here out of the blue." Yoongi replied and both just looked at each other happily.

"Ahem, maybe it's not only him who is here." I interrupted and Jimin turned to see me.

"Aww, Jungkook." He finally pulled me in a hug and I hugged him back with full enthusiasm.

"How are you?" I asked and he just nodded with a hug smile.

"I am good, actually very good after watching you two. Ah you guys literally surprised me." He spoke, eyes glistening with pure joy.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier, huh?" He asked as he walked to the car and we followed his actions.

"Then this wouldn't be a surprise you pabo." I said and he just giggled.

🌸🌸🌸

We were finally in Jimin's home, welcomed on the dining table after getting fresh after our journey. His mother was more than just happy to see us and his father offered us drinks as we had our dinner together.

Jimin reflected a lot of traits of his father in terms of his bubbliness. Though he would be shy at first just how his mother was. A wonderful combination of both of them.

Yoongi was giggling at all the dad jokes by Jimin's father, slightly embarrassing the said male who only asked his father to not say them.

"Ah, appa, he is here for the first time, not to hear your jokes." He complained with his pouty lips.

"What do you call someone with no body and no nose?" Mr. Park began, ignoring his son's complaints as he poured some soju in Yoongi's glass.

"Nobody knows." Yoongi answered, getting along with all his jokes and they laughed out loud making Jimin and his mother roll their eyes and this seriously made me laugh at the two of them.

"They are high on drinks." Jimin huffed, turning to face me now.

"Yeah, I have never seen Yoongi this way." I spoke after putting my glass down.

"Want some more boy?" Mr. Park asked me but I just shook my head, Yoongi was enough of a chaos I didn't want to add some.

"Ah, no I am fine." I answered with a smile and he just nodded with a shrug.

"Yoongi really seems to get along very well with your father." I said to Jimin who was low-key admiring the two of them.

"Yeah, you're right." Jimin whispered, eyes fixed on the two holding admiration.

"Ah Jimin, I haven't even informed mom and dad yet, I'll make a call." I informed Jimin who nodded as he pointed to the telephone on the table of the drawing room.

🌸🌸🌸

It was finally morning now, Yoongi's head was throbbing with pain and Jimin offered us strong coffee to get some relief.

"Umm, how's your head now?" Jimin asked Yoongi who slightly nodded as he sipped his coffee and Jimin smiled, admiring the male with side glances which I caught.

"I am so sorry for last night, I was a little too drunk." Yoongi spoke, sounding apologetic.

"Ah no, no problem. I am glad you and appa got along very well." Jimin replied.

"But still..." Yoongi whispered softly, turning both my and Jimin's gaze soft.

"Aww, guys, don't want to interrupt your moment here but let's go to my place now. Mom is already sulky for not telling her earlier." I informed, earning a nod from Yoongi.

🌸🌸🌸

We moved to my place after freshening ourselves and grooming for the day. Jimin took us there through his car.

My mom was standing by the door, welcoming us as she waved her hand when he got out of the car.

I walked to her and she pulled me in a hug after smooching my cheeks to only leave her lipstick stains on it, making both Yoongi and Jimin giggle and she ended up giving them the same stains.

"So Yoongi, that's my place." I said, showing him my house as we all entered and he looked around, smiling from time to time.

"Wonderful" he complimented.

I took him to my room and put my luggage down. I took a deep breath. The room was still the same when I left. Gladly mom didn't change anything but only cleaned it for me.

"So this is Jungkook's room." Yoongi looked all around, taking note of every detail and Jimin just smiled.

"COME DOWN FOR MEAL KIDS!" Mom called us for the meal and Yoongi's stomach started growling, making me and Jimin laugh out loud.

"Hehe, let's eat now."

🌸🌸🌸

"Thanks for the meal auntie." Yoongi said and my mother only patted his shoulder before carrying the plates from the table.

"Hmph, so where do you wanna go Yoongi? You have seen my place and Jimin's." I asked, wiping my hands with my handkerchief.

"Let's take him to Hwangnyeongsan Mountain. It's very attractive and beautiful during cherry blossoms." Jimin suggested and I nodded in agreement.

"We'll go there but before this, I want to go somewhere else." Yoongi spoke after taking a sip of water from the glass.

"Where?" Jimin asked curiously.

"The church."

And I was taken off guard by his demand.

🌸🌸🌸

Fulfilling Yoongi's wish, I found myself stepping into the same density of nature, guiding my way to a certain blissful spot.

The church.

I froze on my tracks when the chants of wind chimes became audible to me and I looked in front of me to only find the church.

"Wow, it's beautiful." Yoongi whispered, beginning to walk into the garden to now look above at the huge cherry blossom tree, shedding mellow petals which now rested on his stretched palms.

"It's very beautiful." Jimin replied, walking closer to Yoongi now.

And I remained standing there, in silence as the feeling of nostalgia began to embrace me in a trap of melancholy.

Everything about this place was indescribable. The bombarded feelings on my heart would always remind me of every single day I spent with him here in the same place which I treasured forever.

It wasn't a coincidence for me to find him suddenly but if it was destined then why did we have to separate this way?

"It is said that if you kiss someone under this cherry blossom tree then your love will last forever."

"Can I kiss you under this?"

"No you can't, you can't love me."

"If loving you is a sin then I am a sinner."

As it was said, even years later I was being punished for this sin of loving someone unconditionally.

I tried my best to escape the place as much as I could but it held some power to bring me back there whenever I lied to me to be fine with my feelings which unfortunately remained as a lie and just a lie.

My hands stretched out to let the petals rest on my palms, reminding me of the soft touch of his delicate hands.

I walked under the tree now, fingers tracing the carved names of us as tears started escaping my eyes but still not enough to reduce the amount of pain I had. The tree was standing still, witnessing everything I had gone through. It's still the same as the pain on my chest though time and I changed.

Years later, I am standing under the same tree, crying over the fact that he is not with me during the cherry blossoms, when it all started.
