𝒜𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝓊𝓃 𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓉, 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓂𝑜𝑜𝓃 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓇𝓉𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓈𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝒾𝓇 𝓅𝑜𝓈𝒾𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝒷𝑒𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝓀𝓎.

   𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧, looking at each plant with a gaze of wonders. You always admired earths plants as they're interesting and can mean a lot of things.

   Cultures have their own meanings to stuff, it's very interesting how humans can have interesting story's about their meanings too! 

   You stop at a tree and look up. You suddenly flamed up and go up the tree so fast like a ghost drifting through walls, once you were at the top of the tree you hold on it and look ahead. It was a small town a head, there was still lights lit up, you can the small chattering of humans talking, they're so distant and yet so close... 

   You leaned more to the tree letting out a sigh.

"I wish I can go out more often, I want to know more but I can't do it all without Muertes permission.."

   The last time you asked to go alone Death stared down at you like some prey and darkly said—

"No."

   His reason is that it's very dangerous out there and how there's bad people, he says he goes out to deal with them so one day you can go out freely.... When was that? Like 10000 or 30000 years ago? 

   You didn't know you've lost track. But it's has been a long time! 

   Your ears pin down of feeling alone, you get down from the tree to walk back to the house—it was rather a bit old but held tall and strong. Death said the owner here was too old to take care of it so he promised he and you will take good care of it.

   Death can be sweet sometimes. When he's done collecting souls he'll lay with you and hold your hand as he says the most saddest things he has seen, the amount of poor souls he collected and the most toxic ones too.

   You know his job so you thought how hard it must be seeing death all around and everyday. How it must hurt seeing a young soul too....

   Well you walked to the kitchen and look at the lilies displayed, a small smile arose on your face as you touch them softly again. Your finger tip starts to twitch, and your fur starts to flare, you hissed in pain as you hold your hand and fall to your knees.

'Not again.'

   You gritted your teeth in pain, you felt like a sharp object has been stabbed through chest and many joints in your body, like needles were all around you, your vision starts to feel fuzzy, you whimper at the pain.

   Then it all disappeared....

   After that you quickly get up and go to the restroom to look at the mirror, what you saw was you but your stars in your fur slowly became bore dull, your eyes were pure white and you were shaking.

   Taking a deep breath, you exhale, then inhale, exhale again, then inhale slowly to huffed out slowly. You slowly regained your energy and look at yourself again to see you looking healthy.

   Your dark fur flowing again, the stars in it were twinkling again, and your eyes were bright and colored again.

'I'm slowly dying.....'

   You thought while looking at your trembling hand.

   You knew you'll die soon but probably in 100 years or so but... This pain is so... Painful? It hurt so much you felt like you can't stay in this form too—you transformed into a wolf by the first species you saw, your original form is just a small flame with stars. 

   Gripping tightly on the sink you took in a deep breath and straighten yourself out. 

'I can get through this! I don't need Muerte worrying about me like last time.'

   Last time you came home after getting bread with a bloody arm and a scar on your eye. Death instantly panicked, but then you healed but still had small blood in you. Through the whole time he held you and licked off the specks of blood. You told him you fell and got hit by a wagon. 

   Gosh you remembered suddenly when he he thought some else this that to you. He really looked mad.

   Shaking your head you walk out of the restroom to start your moon bathing. It was still dark so you grabbed your pillow, jumped to the roof and laid on your stomach.

   Moon bathing to collect more energy and rest more. You mostly rest during the day but at night you're still tired! 

   You snuggle to the pillow and rested your whole body, as you hoped your pain won't get any worse...

   𝐈𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, each month you feel that sharp pain. But this year you're in it was much worse that your starts to flare up and change into either your flame, wolf or more creatures you can transform. 

   You've always tried to hide this pain from Muerte as you're scared of him freaking out. 

   But you always realized he's becoming too clingy? He would constantly come home rather quickly when you barely whisper his name, he started to get more strict of going outside. That made you confused as he said lover do whatever to protect each other...

   You puffed your cheeks seeing you guys have run out of fruits. You guys don't need to eat anything but you really like food, slamming the cabinet door you start to walk to the hanger where a cloak hung. You were about to grab it but then froze.

   What will Muerte think? What will your apparently lover think?....

   He would most definitely freak out, and get mad even....

   But he's out sooo.... You might get home in time!

   Making up your mind you grab the cloak and wrap it around you, you placed the hood over your head, took one last look at the kitchen then walk out of the house.

   Your ears twitched underneath the hood to sense or hear Death. No sign, no energy, so you walked out.

      The walk to the town wasn't that far as it's just a simple path through the forest then to the town. People—mortals all walked and roamed around the market to sell, buy, and trades. You scan each stand and cart for the fruits, you finally saw it, you walked towards the stand and start to grab some, an elderly smiled behind the stand.

"Good afternoon."

"Good afternoon."

   You both just said, you grabbed an apple, orange, and then finally peaches. You gave them to the woman who grabs the fruits and puts them in the bag.

"That'll be 10 coins."

   You nodded, digging through your cloaks pockets and bring out the coins. She took them and bows.

"Have a good rest of the day."

"You too m'mam."

   You bowed too. That was quick! So you hustled out but glanced at men in a alley who looked suspicious...

   You're always nosy about humans conservations so you hid behind the wall and listened.

"You got it?"

"Yes, right here in the chest."

   The sudden energy tickles your fur, like static of electricity! You quickly peaked to see a chest with a shine inside of it. 

"The map to the wishing star..."

"Íe, it took a lot of work so I want a double on the payment."

'The wishing star. A star... A star!'

   How you became enlighten and hopeful, if you find that star you can be healed! And maybe.... Go home.

    For a while you've been missing your home, flying in the stars, looking around nothing more than space, you started to miss dancing with other stars.... Earth is great but it would be more fun if Death didn't kept you in one place.

   The two guys made a deal and walked off, you really need the map but then you quickly remembered you should be at home now. Scurrying off you held your fruits and ran as fast as you can.

   Seeing you're almost home and felt a presence.

"Oh no.."

   You muttered, panic in your soul and chest, you fasten your running, then zoomed to the garden. You took off the cloak and throw it in bushes, for the fruits you scattered them, to get in scene like you dropped the fruits.

"Amor."

   You flinched hearing his dark grimace voice. You looked up at him to see him at the door way with a scrunched up face.

"What are you doing out here?"

"I was getting the fruit that fell."

   The words were lies as they were spoken out, you hoped you didn't looked too nervous as you lied to Death himself. Death just hummed and walk towards you.

   It seemed he believed your lies.

   He picks up a peach and hands it to you.

"Here amor."

"Thanks."

   He smiled at you, when you grabbed it he kissed your cheek. The warmth you felt again made you feel at ease as you smiled too.

"I'll be gone again, there's this mortal who gets on my nerves and I want to chat with him."

"O-Oh that's fine!"

   Death and you walk back inside and he grabs his sickles, twirling them then putting them in the holder. He puts the hood on but before he left and gave you one last kiss on your muzzle.

   You watched him leave as he whistles and fades in the darkness. 

   Your shoulders drop with relief with a mix of pain as that sting of pain has come back.

   You looked at your hand to see it shaking again.

   That star can help you, you can heal yourself again and even go home... With a sigh you need a way to look for the map or even find a way to–

'Wait. The stars.'

   The stars. Your friends and maybe family, they always knew the way of finding home, maybe you can just wish upon a star and they'll listen, you were one of them they have to!

   Stumbling outside you look up at the night sky, the stars twinkling like tiny jewels, going on your knees, to rest then closed your eyes softly.

   A soft sigh, the star on your head glowed. 

"My dear friends help me as I'm in pain and in needed of assistance..."

   You whispered softly, listening to their small voices then a voice boomed in your head—

"In the dark forest, we'll show you the vision."

   Opening your eyes slowly you see a ray of light leading to the said forest. The glow on your head fades out as you whisper a thank you to your friendly stars.

   This is it, your choice to leave Earth and go home... You don't know what to say to Muerte if you leave, will he help you? Will he get sad? Or worse....

   You shake your head out of the thought but when you opened your eyes again the light was gone.

'I think I can active it whenever I need a way.' 

   How excited you felt that you might be okay and get home! May the stars and the moon wish you luck as you'll need it.
