Clarke is a bit of character. She's very motherly due to her very large family, and younger brother,Calvin, who died at a very young age. Although Clarke is one of the middle children, she was always the mother of her family.

Clarke is also a bit socially awkward. She always trouble expressing things in a way other people won't get offended by. She likes to speak her mind, but more often than not her thoughts are a bit rude. She also doesn't always have the best attitude, and can escalate very quickly.

Clarke is also a very determined person in addition to all of this. She is one of the top of her class and is always fighting to be great, most likely due to her family, since she was stuck in the middle with her twin sister

Clarke was born into a large family in Trenton, New Jersey. Born as a identical twin, she always struggled to find her identity and make herself known. Clarke, from a young age showed a lot of interest in snow-boarding, however living where she did made it very difficult to pursue, so she let it go.

It was great tragedy in her life the day she found out that her and her twin were adopted after being found on the steps of local adoption agency, which is where their mother worked. Her and her father, who died several years ago after Calvin was born, decided to adopt the twins, however, both twins were given a necklace. These necklaces were symbols of magicians, hoping their children would both be accepted into Brakebills.

However, this is as not the case. Clarke's twin did not gain entrance into the school, while Clarke did. Her memory was of course wiped, leaving Clarke alone to find her own identity. Clarke became very determined and refused defeat in any case. She became the unstoppable force that we know today.
