"Mirabel? Look kid, I don't think this is a good idea." I say.

"Just trust me Tio Bruno." She says.

Trust her? I'm blindfolded and walking to who knows where. It feels like we've left the house and are walking through the jungle or forest. My pulse is quick. No one would tell me anything. They've all left the breakfast scene. Everyone's been acting weird and abnormally secretive. I never foretold this. Should've looked into the future. 

"Mirabel, are we there yet?" I ask.

"Almost." She laughs.

She pushes me somewhere. She takes off my blindfold.

"Surprise!" The entire family yelled.

"What?" Was all I could think of saying. 

They remembered! They actually cared to set up my birthday. I see a line of food. I see trees decorated in green, my favorite color if people couldn't guess. There were red and pink balloons. The trees were decorated in multiple flowers, Isabella probably had done that. My face feels all red and hot. mom comes forward. She lifts my head up and kisses me on the cheek. 

"Happy Birthday, mi nino." She smiles.

Julieta and Peppa grab my arms and lead me forward.

"Happy Birthday to you." They start to sing.

I feel like today is finally my day. Today is finally going my way. No one hates me here.

"Happy Birthday to you." Dorles and Camilo bring the cake forward.

"We made it chocolate and raspberry." Antonia smiles.

"I didn't know you'd remember." I say to my sisters.

"Of course, we'd remember!" They both said.

They bring forth the cake with candles.

"Happy Birthday dear Bruno!" Mirabel and Lusia and Isabella sing.

I was about to blow out the candles when something hard hits my side. I turn. Did someone throw a rock at me? I turn and I see all the villagers with rocks. Oh-no. Here we go again.
