||That Night||

This is the quote that everyone needs in life:

"Otabek was the god of victory in the tournament, and maybe Yurio was loved by that god." -Kubo

Bless you, Kubo-sensei!

I shut the apartment door from behind us and stretched my arms through the air. I felt exhausted from the long day with my friend.

"Welcome to my cat palace! Please bare with me, you may spot a cat here and there and leopard print everywhere, but don't worry about it. You'll get use to it all." I spoke. Otabek took off his shoes and looked around the living room. I hope he wouldn't mind my clear obsession with cats.

"It's a nice place. It really reminds me of you, haha." Otabek chuckled.

I smiled as one of my fur babies (cats) walked up to my legs and brushed against it. I bent down and pet her soft tiger-like fur.

"Hello, baby. Do fine while I was away?" I giggled as she booped my nose with her paw, meowing loudly.

Otabek gazed at me in awe as he snapped a picture.

Shit. This was a side of me that rarely anyone has seen. This is slightly embarrassing.

"How many cats do you have, Yura?" Otabek asked as he bent down in front of me and pet the kitty.

"Three. At first I just had one, which is this one. Then I found another one in the streets so I took him in. Then the two had a couple kittens but I had to give all of them away. Twas a sad day." I glided a finger down my face to signal 'single tear'. We cracked up. "Haha, but last year for my birthday, my grandpa bought me a kitten!"

"I see. What are all their names?" Otabek questioned as the kitty in front of me ran off.

"That one was Tiger. She's a Toyger cat, you can see why I named her." I paused, "Then I have Pirozhki which is a Norwegian Forest cat. Then the youngest of the bunch is B— uh, I rather not mention the name. But he's a Bombay cat."

I was slightly embarrassed to mention the last cat's name to Otabek. I looked off to the side with an awkward expression painting across my face.

"Why can't you mention his name?" Otabek asked.

I blushed and played with my thumbs, "Well, uh...no reason!"

||Third Person||

"So, where will I be sleeping tonight?" Asked Otabek as the two boys sat in the couch, searching through movies.

"I have a second bed in my room meant for guests. You can crash there if you want." Yuri answered as he searched through the selection of Netflix TV shows instead.

"Okay. It'll be nice to sleep in the same room as you."

Yuri's face flushed red. He cleared his throat and continued searching through shows, ignoring Otabek's comment.

Yuri's black furred cat jumped into Otabek's lap with a meowed. He was curious why Yuri hadn't mentioned the name to him so he checked the collar and saw the name 'Beka' carved into it. Otabek's face turned bright red as he awkwardly pet the soft kitty.

Yuri named the cat after him?

"This horror show looks cool." Yuri said as the screen showed the show 'Stranger Things'.

"Stranger Things? My sister use to talk my ear off about that show." Otabek mentioned as his gazed turned toward to screen in front of them.

"Oh, really? Well does it sound good?" Yuri asked as he looked toward his friend with a curious look.

"It sounds interesting from the way she explained it. But I sadly got all the spoilers." Otabek replied with a sigh.

"I see...warn me when a jumpscare happens then?" I asked with shyness in my tone.

Otabek smirked, "Nope."

I groaned at his answer, "You jerk. I don't like to be spooked." I pouted and crossed my arms like a child.

"Haha. Same, but too bad."

Yuri didn't mind horror movies, he actually enjoyed watching them. But he always hated the jumpscares. But who likes jumpscares anyway?

Yuri began to play the first episode of Stranger Things as he shoved popcorn into his mouth.

The two watched the entire show through that night.

Yuri stood up from the couch and stretched. Otabek did the same.

"Who knew binge-watching a show all night would be so exhausting?" Asked Otabek with a yawn, which caused Yuri to yawn too.

"No idea." Yuri replied as he dropped his arms and looked toward his friend.

Otabek looked at the clock above the microwave in Yuri's kitchen and saw the numbers '2:59'

"Crap. It's 3 AM."

Yuri laughed awkwardly, "Looks like we're sleeping in all day tomorrow."

Yuri led Otabek to his bedroom down the hall. The room was just leopard print everywhere. Those were literally the only words you could use to describe it.

Yuri yawned once more, "We should be getting to sleep now. I'm about to pass out any second."

"Yeah, I agree."

Yuri was too lazy to change clothes that night so he just decided to sleep in his clothes from that day.

They both climbed into their bends and looked at each other from across the dark room.

"I had a lot of fun today, Beka." Yuri said with a smile.

Otabek grinned at his friend, "Same. I hope we can have more fun experiences this week."

Yuri closed his eyes and looked up towards the ceiling.

"'Night, Beka."

"Good night, Yura."

They both thought of each other that night until they fell into a deep sleep. ❤

I apologize for the small boring chapter. Next one will be longer and cuter for sure!

So, I just need to brag about the awesome day I had for a second. Excuse me.

First off, we went to an amazing restaurant which is a great start to a great day, then we went to the mall and shopped at HOT TOPIC and that store is my natural habitat, man. So I bought cat ears and pocky which was pretty lit. Then we went to the library where I rented an OTAKU USA MAGAZINE WITH YURI ON ICE AS THE COVER AND I WAS SO EXCITED!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Then I got Starbucks and bought cream puffs and tried sushi samples. Fuck this day is amazing. 👌

I just wanted to brag about my day. How is yours?

Okay, bye!!
