Rosanna struggled to get out of the cage she was in. Römische had locked her up after capturing her. She saw the dark side walk into the room, coming up to her.

"oh, the embodiment of excitement," Römische laughed, circling her cage. "With no excitement! And no way out."

"Why are you doing this?" Rosanna asked. "You're a trait, just like me!"

He stopped and placed a sparking hand on the cage, glaring at the girl. She backed away from him, obviously scared. "I'm nothing like you! I'm more than you'll ever be!"

The words stung her as she watched the one she loved walk around her cage. Römische gave her an empty look.

"It's time you learned a lesson; It's time that you understand. Don't ever count on anybody else in this or any other land!" The dark Prince walked around her cage. Rosanna did her best to keep her focus on him with the limited space she had. "I once hoped for friendship, to find a place among my kind. But those were childish wishes of someone who was blind."

His expression of hope dimmed down to monotone. Something that happened when his own self doubt took place. He turned to face her again. The fire behind him sparking a bit.

"Open up your eyes! See the  world from where I stand!" He walked towards her with a dull expression. Rosanna's heart broke upon seeing the dramatic change in her prince charming. "Me among the mighty. You caged at my command!"

He grabbed the bars and spun the cage around. Rosanna had to try and walk in place so she could watch where Römische did.

"Open up your eyes!" He spun around for effect. Then he stopped the cage. He gently made Rosanna look at him, her eyes showed fear and sadness. His showed nothing but dull grey. "Give up your sweet fantasyland. It's time to grow up and get wise. Come now little one~"

That's when Rosanna knew this wasn't her prince. Römische only called people "darling" and "deary"; he never calls anyone "little one".

"

Open up your eyes!" Römische used his newfound magic to show Rosanna the past him. The him before corruption.

"We all start out the same with simple naïve trust. Shielded from the many ways that life's not fair or just..."

Römische smiled as he made his way to his boyfriends room. He held a hand stitched teddy bear with a prince outfit on it. The positive trait opened the door and smiled brightly.
"Hey Ro, I brought-"
His words were cut short due to him realizing what's going on in front of him. Roman had been making out with another side.
"Oh uh, sorry... I-I didn't realize... I'll just go now..."
Römische left without another word. He ran until he got to his room, ignoring the worried cries from Patton and the apologies from Roman.
He started doubting himself. Deceit smirked as he watched it play out. His plan had worked.

"But then there comes a moment; a simple truth you must face. If you depend on others, you'll never find your place!"

He tried going back to the others, wanting to apologize greatly for his behavior earlier that day.
But Deceit had already did his work and made the others forget about Römische, causing the poor prince to become corrupted and turning into self doubt.
The others wanted nothing to do with him, and Roman caused him double the pain as he had previously provided.
He slowly walked towards the dark side of the mindscape.
Right into Deceits open arms.

"And as you take that first step upon a path that's all your own. You see it so clearly: the best way to survive is all alone!"

Römische stayed with the dark sides, learned how to do his job. He became one with the herd, except, his only target was Roman.

osanna looked at him with tears rolling down her cheeks. She never knew any of this. The only things she really knew about Römische were the things the others were wrong about.

"open up your eyes! And see the world from where stand. Me among the mighty, you caged at my command!" Römische had climbed up a ladder and pulled a lever. Rosanna's cage began to rise. "Open up your eyes and behold the fading light."

Rosanna looked down but didn't see Römische there. He had used magic to teleport himself up the stairs to her level. He grabbed her cage and smirked. "It's time to grow up and get wise. Come now little one~"

He pushed her cage and she rose again. "Open up your eyes! Open up your eyes!"

Rosanna gasped as she saw how much damage has been caused to the mindscape she called home. She sighed and looked down, sitting on her knees in guilt.

She heard Römische enter the room and decided to speak up. "I'm so sorry you felt so alone."

"I saw the truth. My friends abandoned me a long time ago. Looks like I'm not the only one." He spared a glance at the one he used to call his love. Now, he wasn't so sure she loved him anymore. "Face is Rosanna, friendship has failed you too."

"Friendship didn't face me... I failed friendship..." She sighed and looked out the window in front of her.

She didn't want to admit it but it was her fault she was locked up. She blew a fuse at the others when she should've helped them. Then she made her best friend choose who to go with and ended up getting herself captured without being able to warn anyone.
