It came to me in a dream

Something ridiculous it may seem

Wars that waged on and on

Full of guns and throwing chairs

Strange dream it was

But is that how all wars begin?

Like a game gone wrong and the playfulness thrown to the wind

That's kinda how my life seems to feel

All fun and games until I say the wrong thing

Stars forbid I say something funny

Hands tied and ears cut off

No sound around me but the drowning ring that used to be music

Cordially drowning myself

Meeting death

Meeting the water

Meeting the woman

Is there something else I should know?

The sky is red and the grass is black, it's as simple as that

Oh wait.

But if I rewind

Will I find

That I was right

I was funny

I was smart

I was true

And they left me in the dark.
