A Rose Wedding

Chapter Seventeen: A Rose Wedding

It's the morning of the wedding, and Rosé's bridal suite is hectic with bridesmaids getting hair and makeup, dresses are getting resized, and Rosé only has her make-up.

Rosé is going crazy as last-minute changes were being made to the venue, and a few guests have canceled. They won't be attending the wedding anymore, so Rosé had the wedding planner remove a few chairs from the venue to make the setting look not too empty.

At 2:30 pm, the photographer shows up to take a picture of Rosé and her bridesmaids.

"Everyone, look at Rosé," The photographer says. "Rosé, look over here," The photographer said, giving directions as she took pictures.

After a few more pictures, the photographer ends the photo session so everyone can go and get dressed.

Meanwhile, in Derrick's suite, all the groomsmen are dressed, and Derrick is eating.

"How are you feeling, bro?" Johnny asked Derrick.

"I'm feeling ready to get married," Derrick answered.

Joakim hands Derrick a shot glass, and all the groomsmen raise their glasses to make a toast to Derrick.

"May this new chapter brings you and Rosé forever love and peace," Joakim said.

"Cheers," Everyone says.

"Salud," Everyone says.

Back in the Bridal suite. Rosé is now in her wedding dress as all the guests begin to arrive at the venue.

Rosé and Derrick invited nearly a hundred and fifty people to attend their wedding. They made sure to enforce a strict "no social media" policy so that nothing about the wedding would be leaked to the media.

The wedding planner made all the bridesmaids and groomsmen line up while Rosé and her father were photographed together.

"Are you nervous?" Mason asked his daughter.

"No, I'm more excited than nervous," Rosé answered.

Back at the venue, Adele walked on a small stage off to the side as the pianist started playing. Adele began to perform make you feel my love as the bridal party began walking up the aisle.

Derrick walked up the aisle from his mother, Brenda.

"Oh, it's so pretty," Brenda said, seeing the decorations for the first time.

Brenda kissed her son's cheek then took her front-row seat on the groom's side.

"Let's all stand, please," The officiant said once the flower girls made it up the aisle.

"You can start walking now," The wedding planner said to Rosé.

Rosé nodded and squeezed her father's arm as he began guiding towards the double doors.

Everyone stood up and faced the double doors.

The double doors open and reveal Rosé and her father as they begin walking up the aisle.

"She's so beautiful,"

"Derrick is a lucky guy,"

"She's a beautiful bride,"

Getting married is something Rosé wanted for a long time even though Rosé and Derrick were legally married for a few months now.

Having a wedding made it very real to Rosé that she was Derrick's wife and he was her husband.

Having her dream wedding was like a dream of hers coming true.

Rosé and her father finally made it to the end of the aisle, and Derrick smiled as he wiped away a tear as Mason handed Rosé over to him.

"Hey, baby," Rosé said to Derrick.

"You look so beautiful, baby girl," Derrick said to Rosé.

Rosé blushed as she handed her bouquet to her sister before holding hands with Derrick.

"You may be seated," The officiant said.

Everyone took their seats.

The officiant says a prayer and introduces Rosé and Derrick's relationship before Rosé and Derrick's exchange vows.

"I, Derrick, give you, Chaeyoung, this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day. This ring is a token of my love. I marry you with this ring, with all that I have and all that I am," Derrick says to Rosé as he places the wedding band on Rosé's finger.

Rosé smiles.

"I will forever wear this ring as a sign of my commitment and the desire of my heart," Rosé said in response.
