There was no inadequacy for a place to sleep at the former inn. Initially, Mrs. Maya and her mother had engaged in a long debate as to whether or not they should change the purpose of the Hog's Head. They finally concluded, after some long conversations, that they would continue to run the Hog's Head inn, because there weren't many lodgings near the Hogwarts Express, especially for the Muggles with magical children.

Although it was her first night in a new place, Siya slept like a rock. Perhaps it was the familiarity of her old bedsheets that helped, but, regardless, she slept late into the morning and woke up to the clanging of pots and pans echoing up the stairway. It wasn't a pleasant sound to wake up to, but it was better than a ghost yelling 'Morning goosey' at you. It was the first day of business, and Mrs. Margaret was at the kitchen whipping up her highly impressive cheesecakes for the cafe. The ghost seemed busy today for a reason that was unfathomable to her, but Siya was not complaining. She immediately seized the opportunity to have a peaceful morning. After freshening up, she descended the stairway to see her mother deep in conversation with Mr. Augustus. Or, more accurately, who she assumed to be Mr. Augustus. It was an educated guess; Mr. Ly had told her that he'd be dropping in that day.

Siya inspected the long trench coat he had paired with a hat that hid half his face. When she had reached the bottom of the staircase, he greeted her with a dip of his hat, revealing his flaming orange hair for a split second. "Good morning, little Miss Manohar." Siya reciprocated his smile, noting how his giant figure made all the chairs around them look smaller. "Got you some new friends here." he said as he looked behind her shoulder. Siya followed his gaze and noticed two silhouettes huddling to each other at one of the side tables. She walked over slowly to see them huddled under a blanket, explaining why she couldn't see their features from a distance.

"Oh, you must be cold. I'll turn the heater on, give me a second." she said, walking away for a moment. "Better?" she asked, coming back and seating herself on the swing next to them. "Yes, thank you." The elder boy said. Siya noted the striking resemblance between him and his brother; they both had small noses, oval faces and brilliantly coloured turquoise eyes. They were silent for a few moments, before the older one spoke up again. "He said that I'm a wizard. That I could do magic if I wanted to." He swallowed deeply, before asking, ""Can I?"

"Well if he came looking for you, I'm assuming you can." she replied in a soft voice.

"I didn't believe him at all. Until he could speak with me. He'd been talking in some language I didn't understand, but then he did something with a stick and said something and then I could understand him." He said, wonder evident in his voice.

"He must be using the lingusto spell." Siya said.
"The what?"
"Oh, nevermind about that for now. You should do something about your brother though. He's nodding off to sleep, and if he does that at the table he'll wake up stiff." The little one who seemed no more than 5 years olf muttered something to his brother. Siya mentally awed at his utterly adorable childish lisp. "He says he's not very sleepy, he can manage." He replied. "Oh, by the way, I'm Siya. Siya Manohar." she said, finally remembering to introduce herself. "I'm Ilir and this is Dren."

At that moment, Siya's grandmother stepped out with something that smelled delectable. There was pancakes and porridge and tofu salad and toast and Merlin knows what else. "Oh... i didn't know there would be more guests. This was all I could make." she said, sounding worried. Those words were not all necessary , as there was more than enough for all of them.

After breakfast which Dren especially seemed to enjoy, Siya asked about where they were from.

"Quite far from here, actually. We used to live with our grandfather. Actually he was, you know, not aware of this stuff." Ilir answered.

"Oh,so he was a muggle?" She asked.

"I guess." he replied, rubbing his nose. "Actually he didn't believe the tall man at all. He didn't even talk to him. Then grandfather said something like I've had enough of your kind. But I dunno if he had already met with your folks or not." he said looking even more uncomfortable. "Mr. Augustus did something to grandpa. So I dunno if I can really trust you folks." he mumbled putting an arm around his brother to bring him closer.

Just then Mr. Augustus joined them. "Look here, fella. I was supposed to talk to your grandfather before I brought you here. I was supposed to. But I couldn't, because he was barging a pitchfork into my face. How was I even supposed to talk? So I just obliviated him." he said defensively.

"Goodness, what do you mean by just obliviated? This isn't a joke, Augustus." Mrs. Maya immediately reprimanded him.

"It was for the best."

"How, exactly?"

"You don't even know how that old man treated them, ma'am. He worked the older child, like an ox in the fields. Didn't even send either of them to the muggle school."
Mrs. Maya gasped at that,"Is that true, child?"
Ilir hesitated. "That was just because he was a little sick in the head." Augustus triumphantly stated, "See? I told you."

"So he'll be living here until the school starts, is it?" she asked, walking away from them.
"Yes, ma'am."
"That won't be a problem. I'll also get him the school supplies, then." Augustus handed her a pouch. "It's from the ministry. To cover the expenses."
Mrs. Maya took the pouch, nodding- the ministry had made a law stating that it would pay the money for all children who did not have legal guardians that were registered with the ministry.

"What about his grandfather . If he's really sick in the head..", she said in a low tone.
"Don't worry ma'am . I'll have have him brought over to St. Mungo's . I can say he has experienced severe shock . Might've been vampires or something . There used to plenty there"
"Then ma'am I'll be leaving, got news to drop by at the Wealsley's "
Mr. Augustus left soon after that.

Siya showed them the rooms where they could rest awhile.
" I know you are really nervous . But you can trust us . The reason they why they brought you here is for you to attend the school of magic. Which all wizards and witches must start at our age "
"A MAGIC SCHOOL!"
"Yes a magic school . But we can talk about that later. You must rest now "
It had been a long and turbulent journey for them, after all. Ilir felt apprehensive in this new environment.

He had seen magic. Amazing, wonderful magic . Magic that suddenly freed him from the cage that had been his grandfather's upbringing. He had been in a flying motorbike. He had eaten delicious food. It was now in his tummy . He was in a room of his own, on a comfortable bed. This had to be magic. It had to be .Amid all these thoughts, he drifted off to sleep.
