68. Complicated Bonds

Jimin could hear his own heartbeats the moment his eyes locked with Yoongi's dark ones. Yoongi's gaze, though outwardly calm, concealed a deep well of pain and hurt. His eyes, usually sharp and intense, now held a distant, almost hollow quality, betraying the emotional turmoil within.

V, standing nearby, decided to face the seniors, guarding Jimin behind him. Jimin peeked from over V's shoulder to look ahead, diminishing under the senior's gaze.

Yoongi then shifted his gaze to V's lips, noticing Jimin's lip gloss grazed over his lips and his messy hair. V cleared his throat and looked down, fixing his hair. J-Hope, who had a disgusted expression, closed his eyes and sighed.

"Ah, seriously guys? Get a room already," J-Hope spoke, sounding annoyed. The couple, caught in the act, looked down with embarrassment.

"I thought we had mice invading the theater again, but you two... aish, go get yourselves a room," J-Hope scolded and Yoongi simply looked down, sighing. He just wanted to escape the scene as soon as possible.

"Hobi, let's get going," Yoongi said, extending his hand to put it on his friend's shoulder as he turned to head inside the studio again, while J-Hope stood there gesturing two pointed fingers at his eyes then at his juniors, indicating that he was watching them.

As V turned to face Jimin, he noticed the embarrassment written all over Jimin's face, his cheeks flushed with color. Concerned, V reached out to touch Jimin's cheek gently, but Jimin quickly turned away, his movements tense.

Feeling a pang of worry, V watched as Jimin hurriedly made his way towards the exit, his steps quickening with each passing second. Without a second thought, V followed after him, his heart racing with concern.

"Jimin, wait," V called out, trying to catch up with his boyfriend. But Jimin seemed determined to leave, his panic palpable in the air.

Finally catching up to Jimin just outside the club, V gently grabbed his arm, causing Jimin to turn around, his eyes wide with apprehension.

"Are you okay?" V asked softly, his voice filled with genuine concern while Jimin hesitated for a moment before nodding, but V could see the lingering distress in his eyes.

V's serious tone made Jimin pause, his words caught in his throat. He took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts before speaking.

"Dowoo... You shouldn't have-" Jimin started, but V furrowed his eyebrows, waiting for him to continue.

"You're worried because we were caught? They won't do anything, Jimin." V reassured him, but Jimin's response was hesitant.

"That's not the problem." Jimin finally admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. He stopped himself, meeting V's gaze, his eyes filled with uncertainty.

V's expression shifted to one of concern as he listened intently. "Then what is it?" he asked, his tone serious.

Jimin hesitated, feeling the weight of his words. He could sense V's concern but the fear still lingered in his mind.

Understanding Jimin's apprehension, V gently suggested, "Let's go back and eat together."

As V reached out to take Jimin's hand, he noticed Jimin subtly backing away, his expression hesitant. Sensing his reluctance, V furrowed his brows in confusion.

"I'm not hungry." Jimin denied, refusing to look at V.

"Why not?" V asked, his voice taking on a deeper tone, a hint of concern underlying his words.

Jimin hesitated, his gaze flickering between V's intense stare and the ground beneath his feet. He wanted to refuse, to push V away and deal with his emotions alone, but the sincerity in V's voice made it difficult to deny him.

"If you won't come with me, I won't go either." V stated and, Jimin sighed softly, giving in to V's offer.

"Okay, let's go," he relented, his voice barely above a whisper.

Despite V's skepticism about Jimin's mood, he gently took his hand and protectively led him to the cafeteria. As they walked, V noticed how Jimin seemed lost in his own world, his thoughts clearly elsewhere.

Upon reaching the cafeteria, they approached their table to find Jungkook and Taehyung sitting close together, sharing a sweet moment as Taehyung fed Jungkook fries from his hand. The couple seemed lost in their own bubble of affection until V cleared his throat, drawing their attention before sitting in front of them and Jimin did the same.

"Where did you guys go?" Jungkook questioned, his curiosity piqued and V simply glanced at Jimin, who avoided making eye contact, nervously playing with his hands in his lap.

V couldn't bring himself to say anything, so he blinked at his friend, a silent signal that meant "later." Jungkook gave him an understanding nod, while Taehyung, noticing something was amiss, focused his attention on them.

Taehyung couldn't help but notice how V then placed his hand on Jimin's thigh, giving him a reassuring look, while Jimin, with slightly trembling hands, grabbed the milkshake and took a sip.

"Should we eat now?" Taehyung decided to ask, trying to distract them all from the tension at the table, sensing that something was amiss.

Jungkook nodded in agreement, reaching for a fry from the plate in front of him. "Agreed. Let's dig in," he chimed in, trying to lighten the mood.

With a collective sigh of relief, they began to focus on their meal, the awkwardness slowly dissipating with each bite. Despite the lingering tension, they found solace in the comfort of each other's company.

"So what happened?" Taehyung couldn't wait to ask the question the moment he and Jimin found themselves alone after the break, both of them making their way to class. Taehyung's question caused Jimin to freeze in his tracks for a moment, take a deep breath, and turn to face his friend, who seemed concerned.

Jimin looked down, playing with his hands before lifting his head to meet Taehyung's gaze, finding it difficult to articulate his thoughts.

"Dowoo and I..." Jimin began, and Taehyung's worries deepened.

"Dowoo and you?" Taehyung asked, reaching out to hold Jimin's anxious hands.

"We were caught in the music club, by Hobi and Yoongi hyung," Jimin finally admitted, and Taehyung frowned.

"What do you mean, caught?" Taehyung inquired, his brow furrowing, and Jimin took a deep breath.

"Making out," Jimin replied, and Taehyung's tense expression softened slightly, although his worries remained.

"Yoongi hyung seemed very displeased. After what happened, I couldn't tell him that Dowoo and I are dating. He probably never knew before today, and what happened was the worst possible way for him to find out," Jimin expressed, speaking in whispers as he looked up at his friend's face, his eyes filled with concern.

"But, Jimin, you and Yoongi hyung-"

"I know we have nothing. But I really look up to him as a person I truly admire. And I promised him to share everything in my life. He's been there to listen to my bad days, but I just couldn't bring myself to share about me and Dowoo dating. And the look he gave... I think he-" Jimin trailed off, unable to complete his sentence, and Taehyung didn't need more words to understand his state.

"You think he's disappointed?" Taehyung asked, his voice filled with concern.

"He seemed like he was. And I don't know how to tell him that-" Jimin couldn't finish his words as a lump formed in his throat.

"Hey, relax. Maybe just go and talk to him?" Taehyung suggested gently, trying to offer some comfort.

"It's not that easy, Taehyung. I won't be able to face him," Jimin admitted, his voice filled with uncertainty.

"But don't you think not speaking about this will create a void between you two?" Taehyung questioned, his words hitting close to home for Jimin.

Jimin couldn't help but ponder Taehyung's words. The thought of a growing void between him and Yoongi weighed heavily on his mind, filling him with a sense of unease.

"I know you're right, Taehyung," Jimin murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I'm just so scared of how he'll react."

Taehyung placed a reassuring hand on Jimin's shoulder, offering him a supportive smile. "I understand, Jimin. It's okay to be scared. But keeping this from him won't make things any better. Now that he saw you two, I think you better tell him now."

Jimin nodded, grateful for Taehyung's understanding. "I know... I just need some time to gather my courage," he admitted, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Taehyung squeezed Jimin's shoulder gently. "Take all the time you need, Jimin. Just know that I'm here for you, no matter what," he reassured him, his voice filled with sincerity.

Feeling a sense of gratitude wash over him, "Thank you, Taehyung. I don't know what I'd do without you," he admitted, his voice filled with emotion.

Taehyung gave him a smile, his eyes shining with warmth. "You don't have to do anything alone, Jimin. We'll get through this together," he said, his words carrying a promise of unwavering support.

As they continued on their way to class, Jimin felt a renewed sense of determination growing within him. With Taehyung by his side, he knew that he could find the strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead, including the daunting task of confronting Yoongi about his relationship with Dowoo.

"Ah, Yoongi, are you listening to me?" J-Hope's voice broke Yoongi out of his trance as he sat on the couch in the studio, hastily re-correcting his posture. He looked up at his friend, who had been sharing his thoughts about a soundtrack that had gone unheard by Yoongi.

"Huh?" Yoongi asked softly, trying to shift his mind back to the present conversation.

"Where are you lost? Didn't you hear what I was just saying?" J-Hope asked, annoyance evident in his tone. Yoongi sighed, feeling a pang of guilt for not paying attention.

"Would you please repeat everything?" Yoongi requested, his voice tinged with regret, and J-Hope scoffed in frustration.

"Where's your mind today?" J-Hope asked, exasperated, but Yoongi couldn't find the words to answer. He simply looked down, unable to explain the turmoil of thoughts that had been consuming him.

As Yoongi stared at the ground, he struggled to find the right words to express what was on his mind. He knew he couldn't keep avoiding J-Hope's question, but the thought of opening up about his inner turmoil felt daunting.

"Yoongi, is everything okay?" J-Hope's voice softened, concerns replacing his annoyance.

Yoongi took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before finally meeting J-Hope's gaze.

"Yeah it is."

"You don't seem like you are. Is there anything you want to talk about?" he asked gently.

"No."

"Are you sure?" J-hope asked again and Yoongi nodded.

"But I won't let you go away with it, whenever you feel like opening up, your friend is here."

With a grateful nod, Yoongi managed a small smile, appreciating J-Hope's unwavering support. Despite the weight of his thoughts, he felt a glimmer of hope by his friend's presence but deep within him, he knew he didn't have any hope for what he imagined with Jimin once.

The day progressed with V attending classes alongside his best friend, Jungkook. Later, they moved to the field where Jungkook resumed his football practices while V stayed to accompany him.

"I miss feeling normal," V confessed, sighing as he sat on a bench, handing his friend a water bottle after Jungkook finished his ten rounds of running, unfazed by the cold winter and sweating profusely in his tank top and shorts.

"What do you mean? You're normal, buddy," Jungkook reassured him, prompting a sigh from V.

"Not normal enough to return to the field. I don't know how long it will take," V expressed, with Jungkook giving his shoulder a reassuring tap.

"The day you do, I swear it'll be cause for celebration. I'll blow a trumpet for you," Jungkook said cheerfully, trying to uplift his friend's spirits, to which V smiled, looking up at him.

"I'm waiting for the day when I'll be defending on the field with you."

"So am I, bro. You're an amazing athlete."

"Says Jeon Jungkook himself," V replied, complimenting Jungkook, who smiled, causing his dimples to appear after he pressed his lips together.

Jungkook chuckled modestly at the compliment before glancing at the setting sun, casting a warm orange glow over the field.

"You know, V, whether you're on the field or not, you're still an integral part of our team," Jungkook said earnestly, his eyes reflecting sincerity. "We'll wait for you, no matter how long it takes. And when you're ready, we'll be right here, cheering you on."

V felt a surge of gratitude wash over him, grateful for having such a supportive friend by his side. He nodded, a sense of determination flickering in his eyes.

"Thanks, Jungkook," V said softly, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I won't give up. I'll be back on the field before you know it."

"I can't wait for that day."

~♡~

"So you're going home?" Taehyung asked his friend after classes, who simply nodded in response.

"I wanted to spend time with you. Are you sure you don't want me?" Taehyung pressed, and Jimin sighed, looking down.

"Having you is the best thing in the whole world. But you and Jungkook already have plans," Jimin replied, his tone tinged with reluctance.

"Jungkook and I can plan for another time. I bet he won't mind," Taehyung suggested, rolling his eyes slightly.

"But-"

"Or do you want to be alone for a while?" Taehyung interrupted, sensing Jimin's hesitation.

As Taehyung spoke, Jimin couldn't help but sigh. "Okay, I'll let you be for a while, but the moment you want me, just give me a call. Okay?" Taehyung asked, concern evident in his voice. Jimin gave a nod and a small smile to his friend.

"It was a tough day today. I guess I'll just be alone for a while," Jimin admitted.

"I understand. I'll let Dowoo know about this. You just go home, rest, and don't forget to text me before sleeping," Taehyung said finally, offering Jimin a genuine hug.

"Sure," Jimin replied, appreciating his friend's understanding and support.

With this Jimin simply walked back to his home and straight to his bedroom.

As Jimin settled into his room, the weight of the day's events seemed to intensify. Dropping onto his bed, he stared at his phone screen, his thumb hovering over the chat with Yoongi. He wanted to reach out, to pour out his thoughts and feelings to the person he admired so much, but the words seemed to elude him.

There was so much swirling inside his mind - doubts, fears, insecurities - all jumbled together in a chaotic mess. How could he possibly articulate what he was feeling to Yoongi, someone he looked up to as a mentor and a friend?

Taking a deep breath, Jimin attempted to type out a message, but each word felt wrong, inadequate. He wanted to express his struggles, his uncertainties, and the reasons why he couldn't reveal but the fear of being misunderstood held him back.

Closing his eyes, Jimin tried to calm the storm raging within him. He reminded himself that Yoongi had always been there for him, offering guidance and support. Maybe, just maybe, he would understand.

With a newfound determination, Jimin reopened the chat with Yoongi. Though the words still didn't come easily, he began to type, pouring out his heart in a message that was equal parts vulnerability and honesty.

After what felt like an eternity, Jimin hit send, his heart racing with anticipation and anxiety. All he could do now was wait, hoping that Yoongi would respond with the same compassion and understanding that he had always shown him.

But unfortunately the message remained delivered only and it continued to be like this for another hour, adding to Jimin's anxiety.

"Phew phew phew," Jungkook exclaimed as he jumped around the kitchen, playfully punching Taehyung's butt as he cooked.

Taehyung giggled, getting along with the playful banter, even perking up his ass for Jungkook to punch better. However, as the punches continued, Taehyung grew tired.

"Ah, Jungkookie~ you've been hitting my ass for so long," Taehyung whined, but Jungkook straightened up, only to slap Taehyung's butt multiple times, causing Taehyung to finally stop his movements and sigh in annoyance.

"They must be sore by now, stop, will you?" Taehyung pleaded, but Jungkook continued to grab and squeeze, clearly enjoying it a bit too much. Taehyung sighed again in exasperation.

"I would appreciate it if you would just help me in the kitchen," Taehyung stated firmly.

"I am kneading that dough, phew phew," Jungkook continued, unable to stop his playful gestures. Taehyung had to put everything down and turn around to face Jungkook.

"Okay, enough. Get to the kitchen and bring eggs and glass noodles, boil them," Taehyung ordered, placing his hand on Jungkook's forehead and saluting his boyfriend.

"Aye aye, captain," Jungkook replied with a grin.

"Soft-boiled eggs, okay?" Taehyung instructed, to which Jungkook nodded. Suddenly, Jungkook aimed to hold Taehyung's cheeks, squeezing them playfully.

"Like these cheekies?" Jungkook asked, while Taehyung whined softly, suddenly pulled into multiple kisses on his cheeks until Jungkook felt like releasing him.

It wasn't anything new between them. Jungkook was obsessed with both pairs of cheeks Taehyung owned. Sometimes Jungkook would activate his clingy, annoying boyfriend aura that Taehyung equally loved but sometimes couldn't handle on days like this.

Their playful banter continued as Jungkook finally relented and headed to the kitchen to fetch the eggs and glass noodles as instructed by Taehyung. Meanwhile, Taehyung resumed his cooking duties, a small smile playing on his lips as he watched Jungkook's antics.

As Jungkook returned to the kitchen with the ingredients, Taehyung directed him on how to prepare the soft-boiled eggs and boil the glass noodles. Despite Jungkook's occasional playful distractions, they managed to work together efficiently, the warmth of their bond evident in their shared laughter and gentle touches.

Just as the meal was prepared, it was time to assemble, but Jungkook couldn't wait. He grabbed his chopsticks and started eating straight from the pan, much to Taehyung's annoyance.

"Jungkook, would you please wait for me to plate them? We planned to eat while enjoying the show. You never wait for me and finish everything before." Taehyung whined, noticing Jungkook's impatience.

"Did you call me Jungkook again?" Jungkook asked with stuffed cheeks, still trying to chew and swallow quickly. Taehyung placed his hands on his hips, his patience well tested.

"Don't start now. If you don't behave, that's what you'll be called, Jungkook." Taehyung declared, pulling out dishes to serve while Jungkook gave him a sulky look.

"But I don't like this from your mouth."

"Okay, Jungkook." Taehyung continued, unfazed by Jungkook's reaction.

Just as Taehyung was about to serve in Jungkook's plate, Jungkook pulled it towards himself and took the spatula from Taehyung's hands to serve. Taehyung was left standing, watching his boyfriend with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"Thank you, Kim Taehyung. I can help myself." Jungkook said as he carried his plate to the table, leaving Taehyung standing in surprise with his mouth agape.

"Did you just call me Kim Taehyung?" Taehyung asked, still processing the unexpected address.

"Yes, Kim Taehyung. I'm starting the show. You can sit if you want to." Jungkook replied casually, starting the TV and slurping his noodles as if nothing had happened.

Feeling a mix of confusion and amusement, Taehyung declared, "No, thanks Jeon Jungkook. I guess I should be getting going." as he took off his apron.

"Okay, Kim Taehyung, take care." Jungkook said nonchalantly, causing Taehyung to raise his eyebrows in amazement.

"Okay, did you just-" Taehyung started, but he'd had enough. "Okay, I'm leaving."

"Okay, Kim Taehyung." Jungkook responded once more, and Taehyung sighed angrily, throwing the apron forcefully.

"Okay, enjoy your meal, Jeon fucking Jungkook." Taehyung said angrily before turning around and Jungkook quickly snapped his head in his boyfriend's direction, swallowing everything he had in his mouth before getting up, realizing he had messed up.

Quickly abandoning his meal, Jungkook rushed after Taehyung, catching up to him just as he reached the door.

"Oh, just when you thought I'd let you go this easily," Jungkook muttered as he held Taehyung from behind, trapping him in his arms. Taehyung attempted to wiggle out of his grip, but Jungkook chuckled, enjoying his hold over his boyfriend.

"Tasted your own medicine? How bitter was it?" Jungkook murmured teasingly as Taehyung struggled to stand straight, eventually breaking free from Jungkook's grasp to face him.

"Listen, you Jeon-"

"Okay, come here," Jungkook interrupted. Before Taehyung could react, Jungkook bent down, held Taehyung's legs, and swiftly carried him over his shoulder, surprising him with his strength.

Jungkook casually made his way to his room, with Taehyung squirming in his arms but unable to break free.

Soon, Taehyung found himself thrown onto Jungkook's bed. Jungkook had a playful smile and glint in his eyes as he took one end of the quilt and wrapped it around Taehyung, rolling him around in it and turning him into a burrito inside the quilt.

"You can't do this to me, Jungkook." Taehyung protested, his voice muffled by the quilt and he had to peek his head out of it, all his limbs trapped inside much to Jungkook's liking.

"Oh, keep calling me that if you don't want to be freed." Jungkook said playfully, carrying his burrito over his shoulder as Taehyung gave up trying to escape.

"This is seriously not good, set me free, I need to go." Taehyung insisted, but Jungkook remained unfazed, placing his human burrito on the couch and giving him a kiss on the lips before fetching his plate from the table.

"Here." Jungkook said, bringing his chopsticks closer to Taehyung's mouth, who sighed with exhaustion. There was no way he could fight against Jungkook's playful antics.

"Quickly, it'll drop on the white quilt." Jungkook warned, and Taehyung followed his instructions, a playful smile appearing on his lips as he appreciated Jungkook's care.

"You're seriously something," Taehyung commented, still pretty shocked by Jungkook's playful way of teasing his own boyfriend. Meanwhile, Jungkook remained unfazed, focused on eating while Taehyung, wrapped in the quilt like a burrito and unable to move, simply admired his boyfriend while waiting for his turn to be fed.

Jungkook was truly one of a kind, and Taehyung loved him all the more for it. No matter how much they fought or argued, Jungkook always found a way to keep Taehyung by his side, and for that, Taehyung was insanely in love with this stupid guy he calls his boyfriend.

On the other side, V found himself alone in his apartment, staring at his TV screen. He felt slightly upset that Jimin hadn't mentioned anything about staying at his aunt's house, not even a text.

He never appreciated being left alone, especially by those close to him. His brother wasn't there, his best friend wasn't there, and now not even his boyfriend.

The feeling consumed him, but he decided to wait until nightfall. When his belly began to growl, he finally got up from the couch to cook something for himself, continuously checking his phone in the process.

After pondering for a while, V couldn't shake off his concerns any longer and decided to call Jimin. He waited anxiously as the phone rang, hoping to hear Jimin's voice.

"Hello?" Jimin answered, and V sucked in his cheeks, feeling slightly upset.

"Dowoo?" Jimin asked curiously from the other end.

"I'm making dinner. Join me," V replied simply, but Jimin grew quiet for a moment.

"I just had dinner." Jimin responded, causing V to suck his teeth in frustration.

"I'm waiting." V replied tersely before abruptly ending the call, not even waiting for Jimin's response, leaving Jimin amazed by his sudden demand.

Feeling a mix of disappointment and irritation, V set his phone aside and resumed his dinner preparations. As he chopped vegetables and stirred the simmering pot, his mind replayed the short conversation with Jimin.

He couldn't shake the feeling of being brushed off by Jimin's casual response. Why was he acting differently after being caught in the theater? V couldn't help but wonder.

The uncertainty gnawed at him, dampening his appetite despite the delicious aroma wafting from the stove.

Time seemed to slip away, and V couldn't shake the uncertainty of whether Jimin would actually show up or if his request had been dismissed lightly.

After over half an hour had passed, V sighed deeply as he surveyed the meal he had prepared, his hunger fading away.

He covered the pan with a lid before returning to the couch, sinking into it with a heavy heart. Retrieving his phone, he couldn't shake the disappointment that washed over him. If Jimin didn't show up that night, he would-

Suddenly, the door clicked open, drawing V's attention away from his phone. He turned to see Jimin slowly entering the house, clad in oversized clothes and wearing a gentle expression.

"I was just about to break up with you if you took any longer," V blurted out as he rose from the couch, prompting an eye-roll from Jimin.

"Why did you call me?" Jimin asked, sounding annoyed, but he stepped inside nonetheless.

"Why wouldn't I? I just wanted to see you," V replied, and Jimin sighed.

"You've got two legs; you could have walked to my place." Jimin retorted, finally approaching V, who found his anger melting away as he looked down at Jimin's adorable face.

"Because I wanted you all to myself." V whispered, drawing closer and wrapping his arms around Jimin's waist. Jimin glanced down at the arms encircling him and then back up at V.

Their eyes met, and for a moment, the tension between them dissolved into something softer, something familiar and comforting. Jimin's annoyance seemed to ebb away as he gazed into V's eyes, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.

V held Jimin closer, feeling a rush of warmth flood through him at the closeness they shared. Despite the earlier frustration, being in Jimin's arms felt like coming home even while being in his own home.

"Did you eat?" Jimin asked, and V continued to pull Jimin closer, bringing his nose closer to Jimin's cheeks and tenderly brushing it against them, inhaling the scent of cherries emanating from him.

"I will." V simply responded, continuing to place kisses on Jimin's cheeks and trailing them down his jaw. Jimin closed his eyes, melting into the sensation, but soon V decided to be playful. Opening his mouth, he suddenly dug his teeth into Jimin's skin, causing Jimin to open his eyes with a hiss and push V away.

"Eat real food! Argh!" Jimin yelled with annoyance, and V chuckled, catching Jimin's arm to pull him closer, only to be pushed away again.

"Eat your food." Jimin yelled again, wiping his cheek and trying to soothe the pain.

"Then come here." V pulled again, giggling as he attempted to hold onto Jimin, who wiggled himself out of his grip.

"Eat the real food, go eat that." Jimin insisted, and V couldn't help but smile playfully.

"How about I eat what your mom cooked?" With this, V proceeded to pull Jimin closer and shower his face with kisses.

Jimin tried to push him away multiple times, but at one point, he just couldn't. Giving up, he let it be until he felt ready to free himself and actually eat something.

~♡~

After sharing a meal, V settled comfortably on the couch with Jimin, who had already eaten his fill. Despite Jimin's protestations, V playfully insisted on feeding him a few more bites.

Eventually, they both relaxed into the couch, with Jimin sitting upright and V laying across his lap, nestled with his back against Jimin's chest. Jimin's arms enveloped V in a protective embrace as they enjoyed each other's company while watching TV. In this intimate moment, they found solace and contentment in each other's presence.

It all seemed so serene and perfect until Jimin's gaze landed on the clock hanging on the wall, prompting him to break the silence.

"It's getting late, I should head home." Jimin declared, attempting to rise from the couch. However, V lifted his head, turning to face Jimin directly.

"We've barely spent an hour together. Why rush to leave?" V inquired, his tone tinged with disbelief as he prevented Jimin from standing.

"You can't keep me here." Jimin countered, his eyes still fixated on the ticking clock.

"I'm not letting you go." V insisted, his frustration becoming palpable.

"But I promised my aunt I'd return soon." Jimin explained.

"Why did you come if you're just going to leave?" V retorted, his irritation mounting.

"Because you called me, and I knew you'd throw a tantrum if I didn't." Jimin replied, a hint of exasperation in his voice.

"Then why are leaving now, when I don't want you to leave?" V pressed on, unwilling to let Jimin slip away.

"Because sometimes I can't cater to your every whim. Now, please, I need to leave." Jimin asserted, his tone firm as he attempted to disentangle himself from V's grip.

"What's so urgent?" V questioned, his concern evident in his voice, but Jimin's eyes rolled in exasperation.

"I have classes tomorrow, and I need to get back to sleep." Jimin explained, his patience wearing thin.

"You can stay here and rest." V suggested, his desperation creeping into his words.

"I didn't bring my clothes for tomorrow." Jimin countered, his resolve unwavering.

"You can borrow mine." V offered eagerly, but Jimin interrupted him.

"Dowoo, please, just let me go." Jimin pleaded, finally breaking free and retrieving his phone from the table. He checked the time before heading towards the door, his departure inevitable despite V's reluctance to let him leave.

"Can't you just stay a little longer?" V implored, his voice tinged with disappointment.

"I really have to go, Dowoo." Jimin replied softly, his gaze meeting V's briefly before averting away.

"You've been acting differently since what happened during the break." V suddenly remarked, causing Jimin to halt in his tracks and turn to face him, but he remained silent.

"Why does it bother you so much? Everyone kisses and jokes around in university. There's nothing to be worried-"

"It's not about that, but yes, I wish it hadn't happened because we were caught by Yoongi and Hobi hyung, and it's totally embarrassing." Jimin interjected, his tone tinged with discomfort, eliciting a frown from V.

"So what if they saw us? Do you really think they'll care?" V countered, his frustration evident.

"Dowoo, I'm leaving." Jimin stated simply, attempting to turn away.

"You shouldn't have come then." V retorted bluntly, disappointment evident in his voice as Jimin hesitated, turning back to face him, observing V's crestfallen expression.

"Stop acting like this, Dowoo. I have to leave today." Jimin urged, his voice softening.

"Then why did you come at all?" V questioned, his tone tinged with hurt and confusion.

Jimin remained silent, unable to find the words to alleviate the tension between them.

"I'll call you later. I'm leaving." Jimin murmured, his hand resting on the doorknob. Just as he was about to turn it, he heard V's hurried footsteps retreating into his room. Turning back, Jimin watched as V slammed the door shut, the sound echoing through the now silent house, leaving a heavy feeling in Jimin's chest.

No matter how difficult it seemed, Jimin too needed some time alone for himself so he, with his heavy heart, had to leave.
