Actions wound up more than words could ever, and Jimin was living by this strategy all his life.

Despite the words Dowoo ever said, his actions were always different, he cared, he protected, he stood by his side throughout the time he remembers but the day the actions were suddenly at a pause with bitter words reminding him of this truth he never wanted to believe.

He loves Dowoo a lot but then he started drawing the line in between. In the process of loving him he was losing himself.

And for Dowoo, he hadn't had a day in his life where he didn't question his purpose of being a human, the purpose of him acting up. He had a mindset of sacrificing himself to whatever he loved and cared for and it caused him to not realize how this mindset pulled his loved ones into a pit of misery only.

He can deal with harshness but not the ones around him.

He wanted to act as tough as he always could to be untouchable and unprovoked but it had always been the opposite in his case.

It all mattered to him.

Mattered how he was loved by someone and that someone is Jimin. If he had the heart to love himself, maybe he would know how it feels like to love someone back with the same decency.

And he was still in this endless mirage, stranded or more like capsized in a sea of his own limitations.

To see Jimin in pain hurts, to know he couldn't give him the same love hurts even more and to not settle with his own dilemma and being just as helpless as always hurts more than ever.

So nothing's better than leaving that way for him so he finds better people. And he certainly seemed to find one which V has been seeing lately.

If he (Yoongi) treats him any better than him, he'll let himself find an end to the tunnel of his guilt.

Though he still prays for a day where he could see himself eye to eye, bring himself that strength to love someone else, he wishes that someone to be Jimin and if it's not him, he doesn't just wanna love anyone.

No one.

Back at the event, Jimin was lifted by a hand offered to him by Namjoon who continuously urged everyone to give him applause and the audience while standing did all they could.

Jungkook who seemed so proud suddenly blew out whistles which were caught by Jimin who looked around, narrowing his eyes to find him and he couldn't contain his smile as his heart was against his chest to see all that appreciation he received.

"Woah, I perhaps love nobody in the meantime but Jimin, I have to admit you made me sad, only love can hurt like this." Jin commented comically on the mic while Jimin giggled.

"That was a slick way of letting people know that you're single Jin-ssi but sure Jimin had an effect on all of us." Namjoon responded just as lightly and everyone had a fair share of laughter until they were instructed to sit back.

And Jungkook could see how his friend didn't move an inch throughout the time. Concern grew naturally for him because V hadn't batted an eye in a while.

And that's when Jungkook decided to extend his hand to be over his knee, suddenly breaking him out of the trace and V looked down at his friend's hand then away.

Jungkook didn't need to know much, for as long as he has known him and Jimin a lot of it was pretty evident and he'd lie if he would say the performance certainly didn't affect him as well.

He was just as overwhelmed to imagine himself in his sorrow but he couldn't dare imagine himself in place of either Jimin or V, which certainly seemed way more complicated than it was.

The show didn't seem to wait for anyone, more and more performances to come and Stacy had to leave as well as her performance would be around too.

"V, would you hold it for me?" She asked as she let her purse be on his lap and V let her, followed by a gentle stroke on his cheek as she got up.

"Will you be rooting for me?" She asked, tilting his face to her direction and all he could give her back was an assuring blink.

"We'll root for you too!" Rebecca exclaimed, lifting Jungkook's hand along with her to give her friend assurance who was just as happy.

Jimin was back to his seat, being squeezed between his bestie and man for the night, both showering him with the looks of being shocked and highly impressed and at the same time speechless to even describe themselves.

"My bitch… you didn't not just- oh my. The surprise was so worth it." Taehyung whispered once Jimin sat next to him, looking so wrecked that Jimin suddenly chuckled to see his dramatic side.

"Oh come on." Jimin lightly slapped his thigh.

And then he turned to face Yoongi who was just in a daze, eyes continuously grasping details of the other causing Jimin to lift his one eyebrow up.

"Wow…"

And it wasn't just any certain 'wow', it was an encapsulation of his entire thought process of being mind blown which he was to the core.

And Jimin couldn't contain his smile until he looked upfront at the stage again, taking a deep breath as the surge of realization suddenly had him losing his mind in a daze too.

He felt so light. So light after a long time.

He let out a sigh as he sat comfortably back on his chair, closing his eyes for a while as he took a deep breath.

Maybe he was lighter because that weight was now transferred to a certain someone's chest sitting back in the 5th row.

But this story for now has to pause.

The stage was occupied by freshers from time to time until a girl walked out, the girl being Stacy to see whom Jimin and Taehyung gave each other a look before facing upfront again.

Sitting on a stool with her guitar in her hand, she fixed her posture, taking a deep breath as she started singing Enchanted by Taylor Swift.

And Jungkook who was sitting with anticipation suddenly found himself pressing his fingers into his forehead.

Leave my dude alone.

Jungkook straightened his posture back and turned his head to face his friend who was facing upfront, face just as blank as before and it was so hard to comprehend what he was actually feeling and Jungkook just scoffed bitterly on his own.

Wild wild night.

The song ended with her pleas for him to not fall in love with someone else which she sung by stealing glances of him and that deja vu of having another heart walk in his way was killing V inside.

He wasn't ready for another burden.

The crowd started clapping for her after her performance and the girl got up to bow for them, claps surrounding her and V forced himself to let his hands hit each other while Rebecca was bouncing on her seat out of overjoy.

Friends for friends, at least that's the only positive thing about the story.

Hosts urged everyone to give her an applause and praised her with appreciation for her performance until she had to leave to let others come.

And in a while she was back to her seat, sitting next to him.

"You killed it!" Rebecca appreciated and Stacy reached her hand to her for a high five after giving a blink to her before sitting properly in her place.

Stacy sat comfortably, too comfortably to have her head slowly be against V's shoulder as she whispered, "It was for you."

V didn't want to be in the same situation again but there he was again.

Soon the event was coming to an end with all the performances summing up and the hosts requesting for the ending ment by the chairman and staff until they would decide the star of the evening, the one with the great performance.

Though the answer was pretty evident for everyone and any three students could secure their spots for the three main categories of the night and the judges being the audience and the staff had calculated the grades all the way through.

"You'll be the winner, mark my words." Taehyung whispered to his bestie who smiled.

"I already am if my bitch feels that way." Taehyung made a funny face about it but they soon burst into giggles.

The speeches ended and everyone was already growing anticipated.

"The event now ends and I would like to request our honorable chairman sir to now offer these prizes to the winners of the night." As Namjoon announced, Jin was already unfolding the results in his hands, showing it to their chairman standing in between the stage.

Jimin didn't want to win, it was what he wanted to do he already did but a hand soon extended to be on his hand against his own thigh which caused Jimin to look to the side to find Yoongi giving him a blink.

"You're already a winner to me."

Jimin almost blushed at his words, and his own hand on him wasn't helping him either. He gave a shy smile to the others, looking at the stage again.

"Everyone's a winner tonight, whoever has performed or not, this was an event conducted for everyone, for their fresh start and to promote them in their new journey of youth, perhaps today whoever wins holds a special place and I'll request our honorable Chairman sir to announce the 3rd position already." Jin announced and then handed the results to the chairman who took the mic in his hands.

"And the 3rd position is secured by — Hyunjin and Felix, for their duo dance performance."

(Sorry I didn't know what names to use for that 😅)

The crowd cheered for the duo who ran to the stage, rushing in just in time to accept their award and the crowd cheered for them as they were handed their respective trophies.

They were soon instructed to stand back until other winners were announced.

Taehyung crossed his fingers and Jimin smiled to see his friend's nervousness while he didn't feel anything at all.

"Relax bitch."

"I want you to win so badly."

"I already did."

"And the 2nd position is secured by — Stacy for her song performance."

The girl almost jumped off her seat, her palm pressed to her mouth and her friend Rebecca got up happily, cheering for her.

Taehyung turned his head just right then, giving her a look as she walked upfront to receive her trophy.

"Wow, I didn't expect that." Taehyung whispered and Jimin smiled bitterly.

"Guess she already is a winner."

Now the tension grew for both Taehyung and Yoongi, Jimin could or couldn't win but they hoped for him to win while for Jimin he just sat back comfortably, waiting for the event to be over so he could dance already with his bestie.

"And the star of the night, the one to secure this position is—" The hosts built up the tension and the crowd was desperate to know.

"JIMIN! PARK JIMIN!" Taehyung yelled on top of his lungs, catching everyone's attention and this time it was Jimin to be embarrassed and holding him back.

"Got that just right, it's Park Jimin." And as the chairman announced Taehyung stood up to jump, dragging his friend up and lifting him up in his arms happily while for Jimin he was stunned, too hard for him to believe.

"You did it! You did it!" Taehyung chanted happily.

The crowd began to cheer and clap for him with Jungkook whistling again happily and Jimin slowly walked to the stage, nervously receiving his trophy as well as a bouquet as the confetti blew away on the stage and everyone was congratulating the winners.

Taehyung excitedly recorded this special moment for his bestie who was still not believing as he held the prizes and looked at the crowd.

Guess he just grew popular.

"And with this we'll sum up the event." Namjoon announced and everyone grew louder.

"It's time for the party!!! I request you all to gradually move to the other section of the venue for your treats. Have a nice meal!" Jin exclaimed happily and they all got up, cheering so loud.

The students started to move to the other section where there was food and dance floor for them to dance and also their seniors managed to snuck in alcohol for them as well as offered at the corner bar arranged there.

The staff and big authorities left already and let students have the fun, the night had just begun.

Taehyung rushed up on the stage to hug the life out of his bestie who was laughing to see his excitement.

"So fucking proud of you." Taehyung squeezed him in another hug, cheeks to cheeks as they smiled.

"Aww, my bitch."

"This way your highness."

Taehyung then carefully helped his friend get off the stage through stairs as if he was his princess and Jimin couldn't keep his smile.

As Taehyung brought him down Jungkook was already leaving for the other section but he stopped in his tracks to congratulate his friend.

"Congrats Jimin, you deserved it." Jungkook congratulated, giving Jimin a fist bump who smiled and Taehyung didn't wait for him and already walked towards his partner, Jungkook simply watched his actions and just smiled while looking down.

"Damn you look handsome tonight." Jimin decided to compliment him to lift his mood and Jungkook looked up at him.

"You two as well." As Jungkook whispered, Jimin couldn't help his sad smile too. He feels so bad for Jungkook.

"Anyway, see you at the dance floor." Saying this Jungkook left and Jimin just looked at his way.

The students were having their best time while enjoying their buffet, there were so many delicious treats to even miss out on anything.

Jungkook kept eating almost everything he could find, it's his coping mechanism that he eats a lot when he's down.

They were in a corner, him and Dowoo having spicy chicken together as if their lives depended upon it while their two partners were already dancing on the floor.

They didn't gave two fucks as chicken seemed more delicious and Jungkook kept pouring them beer to help them chug it down.

Other than chicken there was another intriguing thing that Dowoo found and it was Jimin being complimented by many people in the party section along with Yoongi by his side, he was by a counter and simply having a drink when many men and women came to compliment him and some didn't even hide their flirtatious side. And Yoongi continued introducing him to as many people as he knew.

While for Jungkook he was busy staring at Taehyung who was trying to make his partner dance, teaching him steps who seemed way too hesitant but let Taehyung instruct him.

"You guys are eating for hours, come and get up and dance with us already." Soon Stacy and Rebecca came to them and they both showed their dirty fingers messed with the sauce.

"On our way, let us finish it off." Jungkook told them.

"Okay, finish this off soon, we're waiting." Saying this they went back.

"I want more after this." Jungkook then added and V smiled to himself, his friend was on another level.

They finished that off and Jungkook already went to the stall to get himself corndogs out of which he handed one to his friend as they walked to the restroom while eating, finishing the corndog and then washing their hands.

Jungkook let out a big ass burp in the process and V made a disgusted face to see him.

"Dude you got some mints?" Jungkook asked and V let his hip out and Jungkook moved his hand into his pockets to take out one or two.

"Did we wait for this evening?" Jungkook then asked his friend who was drying his hands off and turned to face him.

"At least we had chicken."

"The buffalo sauce one was epic." Jungkook complimented then stopped himself.

"Seriously? Food is all that we have to talk about?" Soon Jungkook asked and V looked away, already exceeding to unlock the door.

"What are we missing onto, man?" Jungkook asked on a serious note and V had no reply.

"Let's go out, drinks are left." Dowoo dragged Jungkook away.

The party continued to grow wilder, some pairs were sitting in the corner seats, some on the dance floor, some near the bar and some still having food like them.

They decided to walk towards the bar to get some drinks and Taehyung and Jimin were already having their drinks there.

"Don't drink too much." Soon Taehyung heard his elder brother who appeared beside him on the counter along with his friend and Taehyung looked up and down at him.

"It's a party, you're not going to tell me what to do. And my bestie just won, let me celebrate." The younger one debated and put his arm around Jimin proudly and V simply glanced at Jimin who didn't even spare his attention to him.

"Drink less, you're not good at handling it." The elder continued to say.

Jungkook, who was sitting on a stool behind V, was already having his beer while watching Taehyung throw fits in an adorable way. He missed it so bad.

"You were having three whole chickens down your throat, did I say anything to you?" The younger asked sassily and proceeded to carry his soju glass to drink in front of his brother in a rebellious way who sighed.

"You guys are here? We were waiting for you?" Soon the two girls appeared, stealing all their four's attention.

Stacy quickly walked towards V to wrap her arm around his.

"I want to dance with you, let's go already." She requested and V just looked at her side while Rebecca threw herself on Jungkook's back already, back hugging him who was still busy in his drink.

Both Jimin and Taehyung passed each other glances and rolled their eyes in unison, deciding to walk away.

"Oh hi Jimin, congratulations for tonight." Soon Jimin heard Stacy say, causing him to stop for a while.

"He already was a winner to me." Taehyung added sassily in reply.

"Congratulations to you too." That's all that Jimin could say as he looked down at her hand around V's arm.

Saying this Jimin possessively held his bestie's hand to take him away and find their respective partners and not give two fucks about the two.

V couldn't do anything against the way Stacy dragged her to the stage to make him dance and so did Rebecca with Jungkook who was still looking around.

Rebecca held his face, making him face herself once they were on the dance floor.

"I want you to dance with me." She whispered into his ear through the loud music and Jungkook had no idea what to do as she put her arms around his neck and started swaying her body.

He still looked around to soon find Taehyung a little far away, eyes on him and he looked away just when Jungkook caught him staring.

Jungkook's eyes were plastered on him and he could see how Jimin pulled Taehyung dramatically for a princess swirl to make him dance and they soon started giggling and talking with one another, Jimin also helping Taehyung's partner to teach some dance moves who was trying his best but gave them a good laugh.

He hates to see him happy without him, why? Maybe because he used to be happy with him and seeing him happy without him does no justice to his heart.

What even went wrong? A guy he has just met recently seemed more intriguing to him than Jungkook? So unfair.

Somewhere a part of him wished to feed him mint choco again.

How could he do this to him?

Jungkook envied how they were having so much fun but not him.

He had to be stuck in the situation. The lights grew darker and the music turned to more wild party-like and the cheers of the crowd filled the venue, more and more people began to come to the dance floor and it was getting crowded at the dance floor from time to time.

"Everybody! Let's get ready for the shuffle dance!" Soon they heard the DJ yell and everyone couldn't understand it at first.

"Shuffle your partners as the beat changes and let's see who has the most fun!" The DJ yelled and Rebecca rolled her eyes.

"Can't we simply dance with our own partners?"

The music started and they were dancing with their own partners until the music changed and boom, they had to move in opposite directions and continue dancing with someone else.

Rebecca had to dance with some other guy who was having so much fun with her while for Jungkook he simply looked away, trying to move his limbs as he danced with a stranger girl.

As if it wasn't already worse now this new drama.

V had to let go of Stacy as they changed partners, dancing along. He too didn't put more effort into his dance, he's just born funky that way like his friend.

This continued until Jungkook and V were opposite to each other and Jungkook suddenly smiled so big, giving his bestie a shoulder bump.

"It's getting worse with time." V whispered to his friend's ear who nodded in agreement.

"Guess we have no other choice."

The music changed and again changing their partners, Jungkook suddenly started to feel that beer on his head and he didn't mind who came or not, he started to have fun on his own on the beat.

He swirled around again, finding another new partner as the music changed and he felt like he'd dance with almost every person in the room at this point, which exactly was the motto of the game and not too soon when he was suddenly stopped and ended up with none other than Taehyung.

His dance moves suddenly stopped and Taehyung froze in his actions to find Jungkook in front of him.

For a moment they were just not doing anything but staring at each other while everyone around them just danced away, the music beats were nothing compared to their heartbeats.

Jungkook looked so deadly under the dim lights, his piercings standing out even in the dark and how could Taehyung not fall for it?

And why did Jungkook feel like he was waiting for it all the time, to have Taehyung in front of his eyes for a brief moment when he could just end his craving of seeing him.

None of them dared to say anything and none of them dared to dance along until the music switched and Taehyung turned around as if he was waiting for it all the time, to walk away.

Just when he turned to step away Jungkook panicked, reaching out to hold Taehyung's hand who turned around in a stunned way, looking down at Jungkook's hand on his own.

"Tae…" Jungkook whispered, even in the loud music Taehyung could still feel it through his lips which he fixed his eyes on.

They didn't care about what was going on in their surroundings, Jungkook didn't care about anything at all.

He though stopped Taehyung but he himself didn't know what for, maybe just to look at his face with all those emotions soaring in his eyes and Taehyung's vulnerable gaze softened to see Jungkook's firm gaze on him.

He couldn't even dare move his hand away from his grip, he just wanted Jungkook to hold him like that, if possible, closer.

"Jungkook… finally this shuffle game is over, can we dance-'' Soon Rebecca walked in shutting her mouth as she found Jungkook standing while holding Taehyung's hand and the two staring at each other.

"Jungkook?" she called again and Taehyung broke out of the trance, looking down and instantly pulling his hand away.

"Jungkook… dance with me, please?" She asked and already wrapped herself around Jungkook who was frozen in his place as he saw Taehyung stepping backwards, looking at her with enviousness yet sorrow in his eyes.

Soon Taehyung escaped them, it felt so suffocating that he just wanted to disappear but he didn't know where.

And he ended up finding himself on the bar.

"One drink please."

The bartender offered him some whiskey with ice and he chugged it down, asking for another and the bartender gave him a judgy look.

"Boy it's too strong, you won't be able to handle this one." The bartender warned but passed nevertheless and Taehyung chugged  down as well.

"Another one please."

Jungkook looked around worriedly and he didn't want to be where he was stuck in, she was dancing with her arms all over him, having the best time while he was suffering.

He tried to be a bit daring, and he decided to finally remove her arms from his body and she looked at him in a questioning manner.

"What?"

"I need to leave."

"But where!?"

Jungkook decided not to say anything and she held his arm.

"You're going to him!? Aren't you?" She asked and Jungkook just looked her dead in the eyes and removed her hand from his arm.

"Yes I am."

V had his eyes stuck on that certain blonde haired one just a little far away from him, dancing along with J-hope happily and Yoongi who was sitting on a table smiled to see them.

They got their chance to dance together in the shuffle dance but Jimin instantly changed his path to spot V as if he was someone with thorns all over his body.

V hated that but he started to get so habitual of it and now all he could do was to look at him from afar.

He then saw how Jimin walked towards the table, dropping next to Yoongi after dancing for so long and taking his glass from his hand to drink.

He leaned himself onto Yoongi's arm who put it over the armrest of the couch and seemed to say something to Jimin, causing him to smile shyly and hit his chest slightly.

Soon Jimin handed him his glass back and Yoongi sipped from it, looking at Jimin who was also looking in his direction until Jimin got up and decided to drag him to the dance floor with him.

After a few denials Yoongi gave up and joined Jimin and his friend to dance and V only looked in their direction which Stacy could see so she held her face to make him face her again.

"You should be looking at me." She said through a pout and V looked down at her.

"I don't wanna be here, it's getting louder and boring, should we head away?" She asked and V just looked down at her, still lost in his thoughts.

"Maybe somewhere, just the two of us?" She asked and decided to drag him away.

V let her do what she had to do, he wasn't enjoying the party either and they ended up escaping out into the dark corridor until she stopped behind a wall leading up to the stairs to escape the eyes of all and pulled him closer.

"V…" she whispered, snaking her arms around V who looked down at her with his blank face.

"I love when we are together." She whispered, getting closer as if it was even possible.

"Should we just stay together like this, forever?" She asked in a whisper, her lips so close to his ear and he wasn't even in the moment.

As if he was just powerless in a strong feeling of guilt.

He is not used to being loved and treated like that and he doesn't know how to act when he is treated like that.

"I think I'm falling for you." Soon she whispered into his ear again and pulled a little away, staring at his lips and his eyes back and forth.

He knew what was coming.

"Taehyung?" Jungkook finally spotted Taehyung at the bar counter and he decided to shake Taehyung's arm as he found his face against the counter, the poor boy drunk and wasted.

"Taehyung? Hey…" Jungkook shook him again and Taehyung lifted his head up lazily.

Hiccups left his lips as he spotted Jungkook and lips began to whimper out of blue.

"You shouldn't have drunk this much." Jungkook whispered, sitting the stool closer to his and protectively putting his arm around Taehyung's back who was just blankly staring at his face.

"Leave." That's all Taehyung could whisper, causing Jungkook to frown out of confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"Leave before I go crazier." Taehyung whispered in a weak manner and Jungkook sighed, continuously rubbing Taehyung's back.

"And if I say I won't?" Jungkook challenged and Taehyung looked away, laughing pathetically.

"Your girl must be waiting, leave." As Taehyung said he got up and decided to walk away to the exit and Jungkook got up to follow him.

Taehyung couldn't even walk properly as he made it to the door, limping in the process and Jungkook continuously tried to stop him, holding his hips from the back to prevent him from falling.

"Careful."

They already walked out of the exit door and Taehyung limped again as he continuously walked out through the corridor and Jungkook finally got a hold of him, protecting him with his arm around his waist and Taehyung struggled to break through it.

"You have drunk a lot Taehyung, let's get you home."

"Leave me." Taehyung tried to break out of his grip but Jungkook tightened his grip more around his waist, supporting him with all that strength in him.

"Taehyung, you're not in a condition to leave on your own."

"Leave me alone." Taehyung broke out of his grip and tried to step away but limped again and Jungkook held his waist from behind to support him.

"Sometimes you don't have to be this stubborn, listen to me at least once." Jungkook said frustratedly and Taehyung couldn't find anything against him anymore.

Jungkook carefully wrapped his arm around his waist as he stood on his side, lifting Taehyung's arm to put over his shoulder and Taehyung just swung himself around to have his chest against Jungkook's who was wondering what he wanted to do.

"Do you want me to be stubborn?" The blonde haired asked followed by a hiccup and Jungkook looked down at him.

"Then watch me being one."

Sorry, I got late again. JK came live again and also I was sick all day, throwing up and messed up so I'm sorry I couldn't give my 100% today though I tried to give as much as I could.
