"Say hello to our love."

These words kept ringing in Raghav's ears. He kept looking at Nithya's eyes, not able to understand what she just said. Tears started falling down from their eyes and Raghav's throat went dry.

"Is this true, Nithya?" Raghav finally broke the silence.

"Yes Raghav! Our baby is here." Nithya replied sniffing her tears.

Raghav took her hand to his lips and kissed it. Nithya wiped his tears and wiped hers too.

"I ... I don't know what to say... My hands are shivering." He said with a chuckle.

"I know Raghav. I felt the same when I found out first."

"How did you find it? And how did you hide it from me?"

"I missed my periods... I didn't care about it much. But since last week, I have been having food cravings, especially chocolate cravings. After you slept, I went to the kitchen every night and I ate the chocolates. For the past two days, I was feeling tired for no reason. I'll be completely drained the moment I reach the hospital. I had the slightest doubt that I would be pregnant. This morning when I vomited, my doubt became strong... But you asked me to stay home and prohibited me from going to the hospital. So, I lied to Athai that I had an emergency case to attend to and went to the hospital. I got an appointment from the gynecologist and took a scan. Our baby is six weeks old now." Nithya told him everything.

"You're seeing the happiest man alive, Nithya." Raghav said and kissed her forehead.

"But, why didn't you tell anyone about your gynecologist visit?" He asked her.

"I didn't want you or Athai to build hopes until I was cent percent sure. As a fellow doctor, I have witnessed many people who come with hopes to the hospital and go back disappointed. I didn't want to give you that." She said leaning on his shoulder.

"That's true... Even if you had given me a little hint, I would have built a paradise in my mind." He chuckled.

"I know about you... Now you can happily build a paradise for our baby." She smiled and told him.

"But... Why did you decide to reveal the news here?" He asked her curiously.

"Mandu! This is where you proposed to me na... So I decided to reveal this happy news here. And I wanted you to feel the suspense and surprise just like the way I felt that night" Nithya said and hit his head playfully.

"Sorry medico. Sorry to my little medico too." He apologized cutely as he held his ears. 

"It can be a mini techie too." She winked.

"Hehe. Let's go home, amma must be waiting for us. Actually I kinda shouted at her for letting you go to the hospital. We have to reveal this surprise and calm her. You call your parents and ask them to come home." Raghav said Nithya took her mobile to call her mom.

"Hello ma.. What are you doing?" Nithya asked her mom as soon as she attended the call.

"I'm watching TV Nithya. Why?" Tharani asked back at Nithya's strange question.

"Can you come home now?"

"Why di? Yesterday only we both came there..."

"That.. I have tried a new dish today. I want you and appa to taste it. So don't waste time and come here immediately." Nithya lied to her mom, but Raghav was trying hard to control his laughter.

"What? Okay we'll come." Tharani ended the call confused.

"That was a good one." Raghav laughed aloud.

"Don't laugh man! You're gonna tell this to amma. I'm going to stay silent." Nithya said and got out of the car.

"This is unfair!!" Raghav shouted as he followed her home.

Raghav and Nithya reached home. Sharadha was waiting for them eagerly.

"Hey Nithya! Finally you're home." Sharadha sighed on seeing her daughter in law.

"I'm sorry ma... I should not have shown my anger on you." He said and hugged his mother.

"Atleast you realized now." Sharadha replied.

Hearing the doorbell, RagYa looked at eachother shyly, thinking how they're going to tell the big news.

"Why are you looking at each other? Go and open the door." Sharadha instructed and Raghav went to open the door.

"Hi athai, hi mama." Raghav greeted his in-laws.

"Hi pa!" Subash smiled at him. Raghav smiled at them nervously.

"Did you invite your parents, Nithya?" Sharadha asked Nithya.

"Yes athai..." she replied and looked at Raghav.

"What happened to you both?" Tharani asked them.

Raghav took a deep breath and held Nithya's hand.
"Actually we called you both here to tell you all something...." He said and all their eyes turned towards him, curious.

"We are pregnant!" Raghav broke the news and Nithya hid her face in his arms as she was very shy.

"Whatt!!" Sharadha and Tharani screamed in happiness. They both ran to Nithya and hugged her happily.

"Congrats Raghav!" Subash wished and hugged Raghav.

Sharadha went to the kitchen and brought sugar and fed Nithya and Raghav.

"You both have given me the bestest birthday gift in my life." Sharadha told and kissed their foreheads.

"We are so happy for you, Nithya." Tharani said with happy tears.

"When you invited us here, I found it suspicious. But we never expected this news."

"Yes Tharani. Even yesterday I and Tharani were discussing this... We didn't want to ask you both and make you embarrassed. So we decided to leave it. Today you are here with this big news!" Subash told them.

"I'm so happy today. I'll make all your favorite food Nithya." Sharadha spoke and walked towards the kitchen. She stopped in the middle and turned towards Raghav.

"From now, you cannot stop your wife from going to her home. In Fact, you should wait until she decides to come back." Sharadha told and Raghav looked at Nithya worried.

"I'm having a meeting now." He said and went to their room.

Nithya spent time with her parents. Tharani and Sharadha made all her favorite dishes that they could make easily that night. After dinner Nithya's parents left for their home. They had decided to take Nithya there after checking a good day.

Raghav was typing on his laptop, while Nithya went inside their

"What are you doing?" She asked him.

"It's been a while since I updated the story. So I thought of typing a chapter and updating. Earlier you were asking for updates daily, so I would type regularly. Now due to my workload I took a break." He informed her as he closed his laptop.
"Now it's time for some love." He said and Nithya sat beside him smiling.

"Are you happy, Raghav?" Nithya asked him after some time.

"Is pregnancy causing a memory loss or what? Didn't I tell you that I'm the happiest man in the world?" Raghav asked her back.

"It's not that..."

"Then what?"

"It is just six months since we got married... We didn't plan for the baby this early.. that's why I'm asking you." She said but Raghav remained silent.

Nithya turned to look at Raghav. But he was looking at the ceiling without any reply.

"Raghav..." She called his name worriedly.

"Nithya... I haven't spent any time with my dad or even seen him. I at least want to spend the rest of my life with my child." Raghav replied with teary eyes.  Nithya hugged him tight and he bursted into tears.

"You will be the best father, Raghav." She said and kissed his forehead lovingly.
