You aren't one to get nightmares but lately they just didn't want to stop keeping you up at night. It was like they were making fun of you. It is making your dad suspicious to the point that he will sleep right outside of your bedroom.

Maybe he is being protective, but all he really is, is worried. He is worried about you. You haven't been like your typical nine-year-old self. No one knows about your nightmares. Not even your Uncle Dean.

The two of you have a rule between each other: do not keep secrets between each other.

Yeah you definitely broke that rule.

You two have a special bond for as long as you can remember having. He is your partner in crime as you two will oftentimes gang up on your dad and or prank your dad. He can't get mad at you because you use your cute and innocent card. Even if your dad knows that you were involved in the prank. He isn't one to get mad at you.

Then again you hardly get into trouble. You stay at the bunker every day all day. Which you don't mind but sometimes it can get too quiet. To the point where you can hear a pin drop on the other side of the bunker.

Every once in a while your dad would check up on you to see if you needed anything or just some cuddles. Which you turned down. Another thing which is out of the ordinary for you. At first he thought you were sick but even that wasn't true. You might deny cuddles but after a while you would want to be all up your dad.

What his cuddles are the best!

Just don't tell Dean.

Then he will get jealous.

later that night

Your Uncle had made your favorite dinner: mac and cheese. Dean of course being the 'Meat Man' had put bacon in the mac and cheese, which your Dad didn't like and your Dad being the salad health geek he is, he had insisted that there being a salad with dinner.

It was oddly quiet at the dinner table which didn't go unnoticed by your father. He looked around for you almost forgetting that you were in your room as you had a headache, as it isn't uncommon for you to have a headache.

"That's odd." Your father says getting your Uncle's attention as he is guarding the mac and cheese, by eating it. Dean's back was towards your father when he said that.

"What, that you don't have a girlfriend?" Dean asked his brother as Sam gave her older brother a look.

"Why don't you have a girlfriend?" Sam retorted to his older brother.

Dean wanted to make a snarky remark but chose not to, what made him not say a snarky remark was a scream. It was just the three of you in the bunker as Castiel was somewhere. The two brothers shared a look as you probably saw a spider or something. But you wouldn't be screaming like that.

No, you'd be running down the stairs, but you never ran down the stairs. Knowing it was more serious than a spider on your bedroom floor, your Dad and Uncle nearly dropped what was in their hands, and they dashed towards your room, both of them tripping over the steps.

The thought of seeing your Dad and Uncle tripping over the stairs would be enough of sending you into a fit of giggles, and you would be laughing about it. Thinking it would be more funny than anything.

They had came to a stop right by your door, you saw two sets of feet underneath the door, but you could care less at the moment. You were trying to get your breathing focused like your Dad taught you in moments like this. But no matter what happened it didn't work.

You just let the tears fall as a sob took over your body which made your Dad's heart break at hearing. He hated hearing you crying. You were supposed to be a happy kid, not a crying kid over a nightmare that had woken you up.

"Baby, can I come in?" You heard your father ask from the other side of the door. You just laid there on your bed not having the motivation to move from your position. You had locked the door so that no one could get in, but however, that wouldn't stop Castiel from coming in. He is somewhere you could care less of where he was at the moment.

Not that you didn't like him, he had this thing of popping in, which would scare you shitless if you say so yourself. He would try to stop doing it, but sometimes it would slip or and he'd still do it.

Your Dad heard the little padder of your feet before they stopped right in front of your door. He heard you sliding down the door, he looked up to your Uncle as Dean understood. He walked away presumably to finish the left over Mac and Cheese that is in the pot.

Your Dad sighed before he heard a noise from inside your room. When he heard the door lock click, he knew that you unlocked the door. He didn't waste anytime of opening the door and engulfing you in his arms which you didn't protest.

You wouldn't admit it but you needed your Dad more than ever right now. He didn't say anything as he picked you up and he adjusted you in his arms before he walked by your bed and grabbing your stuffed animal and he walked out of your room and in the direction of his. He held tightly to you in his arms, not wanting to let you go. Afraid of what could happen to you if he let go.

When he got to his room, he opened the door before closing it when he walked in. He walked towards his bed as you were still clinging onto him feeling the warmth of his body. It felt cozy and warm.

When he put you gently on his bed, you gave him a pout which only made him smile more. You scooted over to where his side of the bed is. Immediately nuzzling your head on the pillow that was slightly sunk. He walked to the small bookshelf that he has in his room of some books that he kept over the years. He grabbed a random book that was the first one he grabbed.

When he grabbed said book, he walked back to the bed, which occupied you in it. You felt the bed sink due to your Dad's weight, and he laid next to you on the bed. "Come, 'ere." He says as you slightly nodded your head as you lifted yourself up as your Dad grabbed you by your side and he spread his legs to make room for you in the middle.

He positioned you so that your head was on his chest. He reached over above his pillow where he always kept one of your blankets nearby. He usually slept with it, and he opened it and your Dora blanket covered your lower part of your body. Once he got the two of you comfortable he wrapped his arms which covered you as you let out a sigh immediately feeling better than you were before.

All you did was take a nap, and then the next thing that you knew was that you had a nightmare. At first it wasn't bad, but when you saw your Dad bleeding in front of you, that was when you screamed and had a panic attack. It confused you at first because they never were this bad. So why now?

"Baby, you okay?" You heard your dad ask as he pressed a tender kiss to your temple which honestly made you melt under his touch.

"I had a.... I had a..." You said as you tried saying it, but your Dad started rocking you in his arms. You felt the comfort of your Dad trying to calm you down. You heard a noise probably from your Uncle Dean, doing something, which made you jump.

Your Dad immediately tightened his grip keeping you close to him. "'S, kay, baby." Your Dad reassures you as he brushed his hand softly over your matching brown hair. "Tell me what happened." He softly asked which sounded like a whisper, as you had tears forming in your eyes. You tightened your grip a little on your Dad, like he was going to magically disappear from your grasp.

"I had a...nightmare." You admitted as he leaned his head against his headboard, as he sighed. You tensed up just mentioning the nightmare. You just wanted to go and hide in a corner away from everyone.

But how were you going to get out of your father's grasp in the first place. He was way too strong to even remotely try to do so. So, you just let out a quiet sob. Hearing you quietly sobbing as your Dad felt your chest rising up and down. He immediately lifted his head as he turned you around so that your face was facing him.

He felt your tiny legs start closing in on his sides, as you immediately nuzzled your head, which buried your heard on the crook of his neck. His arms covered your back as he just laid there with his baby girl in his arms. "What happened in your nightmare, baby?" He asked as you didn't bother lifting your head up to answer his question.

You didn't want to talk about it even more, but you knew that he wouldn't let you leave until you do. You took a deep breath before you continued telling your Dad. "You were bleeding, you were hurt." You said as it sounded more muffled than anything because you were holding back a sob.

He continued to rub your back and kiss the side of your head as he knows how much you need him right now. He is the only person you really want to see right now. You wouldn't object seeing your Uncle Dean either.

Suddenly, something dropped in the bunker which was from your Uncle, but it came with a loud: "I'm okay!"

If that wasn't comforting, but at least he didn't hurt himself, so that is a good thing. But it wasn't any less comforting.

"He's okay." You heard your Dad say as he rubbed your back. You played with a couple strains of his hair, which made him smile softly, as he loves when you play with his hair. "It's okay, baby. I know it is a nightmare, but it's okay." You heard your Dad say which didn't really help but it comforted you knowing that he was okay. That was all you needed to hear, was that he was okay.
