lily's POV

yay, i got the somewhat good news from dad. i'm going back to school. i don't know how i should feel about this but i shouldn't worry too much because vic and ronnie are no longer here. which is also the reason why i'm currently doing a happy dance as i'm putting on my makeup.

after i finished doing my makeup and got ready to go back to school which hasn't happened in about a month because for the first week or so i was in the coma. (idk how long it has been, since i don't remember shit).

(here is her outfit she also wears ankle books their a dark red)

i grabbed a lace shirt thing and then a red one with black butterflies on it, and then i grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans.

i got the skinny jeans from sawyer a couple months ago as they didn't fit her anymore, and i loved them before that time. as i would always spend the night over at my uncle's house obviously with cal because he gets along with zachary. they talk about boy stuff although some of that is about me and my chaiagains.

(excuse me if I can't spell it right, i always have a hard time spelling it, so if you know how to spell it correctly plz comment it thanks).

i know that they are always talking about me because i ain't no dummy and there is always something about me that cal just so graciously needs to tell my cousin, why because those two idiots are in a group chat with sawyer and i'm guessing that someone added me into it without knowing about it. yikes.

after i get dressed i also grabbed my backpack and my water bottle and then i head downstairs. shockingly cal is here and when i got down the stairs i swore cal had his mouth open at seeing my outfit. i grinned and winked a little and then he looked away i heard eden snicker at cal.

"mornin'." dad says walking in as of course he was painting. go figures. i smiles as i eat my waffle that eden made for her, cal and i. she slid over a starbucks coffee can and i wasted no time in opening it before taking a long chug out of it. i take it out of my mouth and eden and cal looks at me like i'm insane.

"what, do i got some food on my face?" i say awkwardly to my sister and she shook her head.

"you chugged the entire thing down your throat." cal says as i turn to him and give him a look before i kicked his leg and he groaned.

"shut it and eat your waffle freckles." i say through my teeth as dad looked like he was trying not to laugh as i finished my waffle and finished my coffee before putting my plate in the sink and grabbing my bag and ruby followed me out back.

"where ya goin'." cal says as he too comes out back as i threw ruby her baseball like i was on a baseball team. he wrapped his arms around my waist as i smiled without him knowing it. "ya know runt misses you." he says as i hummed as ruby came back with the ball in her mouth. "he won't stop whimpering every day."

"it's because his best friend isn't there." i say to him as i felt cal thumping my head when i said that.

"last i checked he isn't your best friend. i am." he says as i smile and shake my head.

"i meant you because you were always at the hospital and barely at your house you idiot." i said as i threw the ball again and ruby ran after the ball.

"oh yeah." cal says as i cracked a small smile at what he said, ad ruby came back with the ball in her mouth, though she seemed a little sad. "you miss your friend don't you rub." cal says to ruby as she dropped the ball by his feet and he picked it up before grabbing a sturdy stick and used it as a baseball bat like the one he has with runt and the ball went flying and ruby chased after the ball.

after that he dropped the stick and came back to me as we still had plenty time to get to school as an hour for that matter.

"i still can't believe the dream you had where me and you were dating, remember that?" he asked me as i chuckled at what he says as i remember that dream vividly.

"yup, remember that all too well." i say as he looked at me before smiling. "yes i know i quoted taylor swift, leave me alone." i say to him as that's why he smiled because i quoted taylor.

"how'd you know i was gonna say that, huh. my little mind reader." he says as i smiled as i felt a light blush on my cheeks.

"i don't know what you're talking about." i say as ruby came back as the ball landed in a bush and she had to go digging. which also explains why she is covered in dirt.

"ruby, seriously and dad gave you a bath yesterday, for the same reason." i say before grabbing the hose and turning it on. "beevus go grab a towel." i tell cal as he nodded before going inside. i start getting ruby wet and just then cal came back with a some dish soap and a towel he started pouring the soap all over ruby.

after we both finished giving dog a bath and she was all fluffy and poofy it was time for school. me, eden and cal got into my car and drove to cecily's house and picked her up before we all got starbucks as i ordered from my phone. to beat out the line in drive-thru.

we got to school before it started as we technically had ten minutes and we walked in the building that is hell but it's fine. it could be worse. i got to my locker and put my books for my later classes in, as it felt weird going into my locker since the attack.

"feels weird doesn't it?" cecily asks as i nod my head as i grabbed a couple snacks as i get hungry in classes. i don't want to get hungry.

"while you were gone cal refilled your snacks." cecily says as i smile as both of them grabbed their snacks of choice and a starbucks can.

"i sorta putted that together thank you very much." i say as it didn't mean to come out sarcastically like that and cecily knew that which she just smiled. you can tell she has always been the positive friend in the group just by telling that.

after we got done with the snacks it was time for class which i knew was going to be one of those days where i want to drown myself in sorrow and eat ice cream all night long because i had a shit ton of homework to do.

which i did some of it but apparently we had a test that we didn't know about until like five minutes ago. because our ding dong teacher didn't give us a heads up that we were having the test. why must they do that every fucking time. it's gets annoying real quick. well, i know if i fail this test i'll know why.

later

after a grueling day of school, me, cecily, cal, sawyer and zach went out to dinner like we sometimes do when we all have the money to do so. we went to this restaurant that we always have gone to when we have this money.

i swear to god cal was staring at me it was starting to get creepy now. but i want to be that nice friend that will not be annoyed and make a fucking scene in a restaurant. i could if i want to but i don't wanna. i'm nice like that, cal will tell you. i'm a very nice person. okay fuck it i have zero nice bones in my body there all bitter. .....and i admit that so it's true. i am bitter.

in the meantime i just smile as i drink my soda which is dr pepper by the way, like it always is. i have an addiction i swear. i admit that too so it's true.

i know why cal is looking at me like that as it's because he loves me even if we haven't said the L word yet. but it's fine. yes, it still feels wrong loving your best friend as that should be a crime but me and cal are always acting like a 'very weird couple' and argue like an 'old married couple' who the 'wife' 'needs help' because she is always hitting her 'husband'. well it's not my fault that my husband is an idiot. geez read the facts people.

i like him too like a boyfriend but it feels wrong like totally wrong. am i the only one who loves their best friend? oh god, i'm facing a fucking dilemma and i don't wike it.
