Jungkook closed his eyes, leaning over to place his lips on Taehyung's cheek from the side.

The tension built up between the two had only intensified by the time.

Taehyung was fully under his control, he could lead things in a different direction but the oven had to alert them, splashing water on their intimate moment and cooling it down in an instant.

Taehyung opened up his eyes, rushing to the side of the oven and Jungkook's puckered lips kissed just the air.

"Fuck!" Jungkook groaned out of annoyance as he opened up his eyes.

"I spent hours on this lasagna. Wow, it's looking so delicious." Taehyung squealed excitedly while Jungkook punched the air behind his back.

"Okay let me mix cake batches and put that in the oven, now. You can wait for me on the table, coming in a while." Taehyung said awkwardly, pushing Jungkook out of his kitchen.

"Waiting…" Jungkook whispered, unwantedly dragging his feet to drop on the chair.

Jungkook carried his bouquet from the table, smelling it and playing with the mellow petals.

"Ah, what an awful day."

Taehyung soon came up with the hot lasagna that he put in between the table, enough wide for the two to eat together.

"Shall we start?" He asked enthusiastically, more likely as if he was the one called on the dinner.

"Yeah, sure." Jungkook agreed and with this the cute blondie began serving the meal.

He first served Jungkook then him, the ravenette passing a smile to him as a gratitude.

"Ah, drinks." Taehyung was reminded of the drinks and he rushed to get a bottle of soft drink.

"Help yourself, mister."

Jungkook smiled and nodded, holding his glass of wine in which he actually was served pepsi.

"I can't believe you're so obsessed with pepsi that you're making me drink it in the glass of wine." Jungkook said, making Taehyung chuckle.

"I am obsessed with pepsi since they conditioned your hair very well." Taehyung backlashed him quickly and Jungkook only chuckled, taking his insult in a good way.

"Have to admit, it darkened my hair." He now ran his hand through his ravenette hair, catching Taehyung's attention.

"Yeah yeah, I see. Glad to help you though. If you need help again I can do it right now-"

"No no thank you very much."

Jungkook panicked, making Taehyung burst out into laughter.

The ravenette male sipped the soft drink as a smile played on his lips to see Taehyung laughing.

"I have wine too but can't risk it drinking, I have college in the morning you know." Taehyung spoke, taking his first bite and also gesturing to Jungkook to take his.

"Yes you better not, you are not you when you're drunk." Jungkook casually said, taking his bite and Taehyung put his fork down, gloom appearing on his face.

"Wait, did I say something wrong?" Jungkook asked in a growing panic, placing his fork down as well.

"No not at all… I actually have called you here to thank you about a lot. Especially my birthday night." Taehyung began, sounding deadly serious.

"I know I shouldn't have drunk too much. Thanks for being responsible for bringing me home safely. I shouldn't have acted like a dumbass bitch. I'm really sorry." Taehyung apologized, his serious gaze landing on Jungkook's soft ones.

"Hey, it's okay. It was your day. You deserved to have fun though and don't worry about me. It was so obvious for you to misunderstand." Jungkook replied instantly, comforting him with his words and softly placing his hand on top of Taehyung's over the table.

"Not just this Jungkook. Like I seriously am very grateful to you. The present was like… ah I'm lacking in words to describe. I always wished to have one and you brought me one, it was so special." Taehyung stated joyfully, rubbing his thumb against Jungkook's palm.

"Oh really?"

"Yes, it was so pretty but expensive too. You didn't have too…"

"Hey, c'mon, if it made you happy then I think the price is worth it." Jungkook's words made Taehyung smile constantly, his eyes only reflecting back the joy.

"But still…"

"It's okay." Jungkook reassured, patting his hand one more time before pulling away.

Taehyung smiled at Jungkook, wanting to get lost in those intoxicating eyes. Jungkook raised his eyebrows playfully and Taehyung looked away shyly, biting his bottom lip, he never shared but holding hands had always been his favourite thing to do.

"And also, thank you so much for the morning. You really helped me Jungkook. If you wouldn't be there, I might have a panic attack."

"You literally were having one…"

"Yeah I know but thanks to you for comforting me. I'm claustrophobic so it was tough for me and I'm glad you helped me again. You seriously may seem naughty but sometimes you're so responsible and sincere, and I appreciate it." Taehyung complimented, making Jungkook flip his hair in confidence.

"Thanks for acknowledging, pretty neighbour. Well, these are just two sides of me, you probably wanna see more." Jungkook joked, wiggling his eyebrows and making Taehyung laugh.

"Here it comes… you will always remain like this?"

"You like it so why not?"

Taehyung smiled while shaking his head.

"You're seriously unbelievable."

"I know."

The two of them giggled more, eating leisurely while talking of almost everything possible and Jungkook never failed in making him smile so hard.

Taehyung never thought he would actually end up on the table, having dinner at his place with the guy who bumped his precious Lily.

Time flew by nicely and there they were ready to begin something new.

"Man you didn't even compliment my lasagna, wasn't it good?" Taehyung asked when Jungkook stuffed his mouth with his last bite.

"Oh damn, it was so tasty that I almost forgot to compliment it. It was heavenly delicious like a pro chef's kitchen."

"Liar, how can it taste like pro chef's." Taehyung pouted.

"Maybe you added a special ingredient in it to make it taste so good."

"What?"

"Your love." Jungkook softly held Taehyung's hand, leaving a gentle kiss on that, doing everything that only fluttered Taehyung's heart more and more.

"You are cheesier than this lasagna." Taehyung laughed, pulling his hand back.

"Seriously, it was amazing."

And then the oven ringed again.

"Uh, cake is ready too. Let me take it out and let it cool for a while. I bet it's gonna taste amazing with a little bit of wine." Taehyung said, winking at Jungkook.

"Yes of course, just a little bit of wine under the moonlight?" And Taehyung couldn't disagree with his demand.

After a while they were on Taehyung's balcony, staring at the city lights under the gleam of moonlight.

They were standing next to each other, elbows against the one metre high wall of the balcony.

The two sipped the wine together, the cake finished a while ago, tasted so delicious and worth the efforts Jungkook made in shaking their bodies like an earthquake.

Jungkook was staring at Taehyung while sipping leisurely while the blonde was watching the moon joyously.

"Isn't it beautiful?" He asked and Jungkook hummed, staring at his luminous face.

Taehyung turned to face him, smiling and gesturing him to cheer again and Jungkook slightly hit his glass with Taehyung's as they gulped down the left over drink together.

"Tae…" Jungkook spoke, catching Taehyung's attention.

"You still didn't answer me."

"About what?"

"Am I still neighbour-zoned?" Jungkook asked seriously but Taehyung laughed at him instead.

Jungkook frowned, not getting why he laughed.

"You pabo, you wouldn't be here standing beside me if I would neighbour zoned you." Taehyung's words lightened up Jungkook.

"Oh yes. You're right. So what am I to you?" Jungkook asked, leaning over to Taehyung's side who smiled and looked away.

"What? What is it?" Jungkook asked desperately.

"A friend?"

"Just a friend?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes.

"Why? You don't wanna be friends? Should I neighbour-zone you again?"

And Jungkook shook his head.

"You are too hard to get Taehyung." Jungkook smiled dreamily, staring at him with heart eyes.

"I wonder how you are still single." Jungkook said.

"Why?"

"Look at yourself. You're too good to be true. Now tell me honestly how many hearts you have broken because this attitude, damn, there must be a reason." Jungkook confessed and Taehyung's smile dropped.

Taehyung looked down, smiling sadly and staring into space.

"Broke hearts? Me?" Taehyung chuckled bitterly and Jungkook's gaze turned into soft ones.

"Tae… wanna talk about it?" Jungkook asked, his hand holding Taehyung's as he looked at him with a sincere gaze, ready to hear it all.

"Hey, you can share." Jungkook assured after watching tears on the edges of Taehyung's eyes.

"I wish I had broken his heart, at least he could have felt the pain he gave me…" Taehyung began, his voice filled with pain.

"Who?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung smiled bitterly.

"Son of a bitch, fucking cheater."

"Your ex?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung nodded shortly.

"Let's not talk of that bastard, I'm over him." Taehyung said and smiled widely to hide his pain of past memories.

"Did he cheat you?"

Taehyung's smile faded away as Jungkook asked, somehow breaking the ravenette's heart.

"Okay let's not talk if you don't want to but let me tell you one thing. You deserve a lot better. I'm glad you're over him." Jungkook said words of comfort, melting Taehyung's heart whose eyes were pooling with tears.

"Hey…" Jungkook instantly pulled him in a hug and Taehyung began weeping on his shoulder.

He wasn't crying for his ex, he was crying out of overwhelming joy because he has people in his life that support him and make him feel better and who cherish him.

Jungkook was now one of them.

Jungkook hugged his small waist tightly, bringing him closer, whispering words of comfort to calm him down and Taehyung had snaked his arms around his neck, drowning in the intoxicating scent of the other.

His sniffles started fading away and Jungkook knew he was fine but he still rubbed Taehyung's back and his magical embrace made all of Taehyung's sadness blow away. He just didn't want to break the hug.

That day he found how much of a magical embrace Jungkook had to comfort him during all the hard times.

"You're okay?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung decided to break the hug before he would get used to it.

He didn't face Jungkook and silently stared in the other direction.

"Where's my sassy neighbour? I bet I like him more. Now will I get him back?"

"Do you bleach your teeth? 'Cause your smile lights up the entire night like a moon in the dark. Let's go prove it." Jungkook threw one of his pick up lines and Taehyung couldn't help but smile widely, jokingly hitting his chest.

"Dork."

"Yes like that." The two laughed together and Jungkook succeeded in making the other one smile. Taehyung literally forgot about someone that broke his heart.

"Thank you, again'' Taehyung whispered and Jungkook acknowledged it with a small nod.

The two of them had a very great time together that they didn't realise how many hours passed away.

Jungkook checked his wrist watch, watching how the clock was about to strike eleven.

"Ah, I think I should leave. It's almost eleven." Jungkook excused and Taehyung also checked his clock.

"Ah yeah… I didn't even realise."

"Yeah… see you tomorrow then." Jungkook said and Taehyung nodded.

"I'll walk you to the door."

The two walked to the door together and Taehyung opened it for Jungkook.

"Thank you for dinner again. I had a great time with you."

"Thanks for coming, Jungkook, I had a great time with you too."

"Good night." Jungkook greeted him and took a step back.

"Wait." Taehyung called, resisting Jungkook from leaving.

"Yeah?" And then a pair of lips smooched Jungkook's cheek, leaving him surprised.

Taehyung's one hand held his other cheek gently as he put his tender lips on another cheek to show his gratitude and affection towards the other which directly sent him to cloud nine.

"Good night." Taehyung greeted after pulling away, stepping back with a playful smile and before Jungkook could say anything he shut the door.

Jungkook punched the air again and smiled like a fool, shaking his head out of disbelief and touching his cheek.

"Ah what is happening to me?"

Well, you are head over heels for your neighbour, Mr. Jeon Jungkook.
