"Bomi, Yumi stop fighting and help your Dad decorate the Christmas tree."

Beomgyu called out to Bomi and Yumi, two energetic five-year-old girls, as they were in the middle of an argument over who was going to place the next ornament on the Christmas tree.

At the sound of their father's voice, the twins immediately stopped squabbling and turned to him, their faces filled with twin grins of innocence and excitement.

"Okay Papa!" they chimed in unison, their voices filled with eager anticipation. They both hurried over to the tree, their steps a little wobbly as they carried the box of colorful decorations.

They hurried over to where Yeonjun was trying to untangle a string of fairy lights. The twins were now five years old and as adorable as ever, each wearing their own matching Santa hats.

Yeonjun chuckled as he watched the twins waddle towards him, their little voices filling the air. He was standing in the center of the living room, his fingers tangled up in bundles of Christmas lights, and he turned his head to look at Beomgyu who was setting a reindeer decoration on the tree, watching his husband and daughters decorate the Christmas tree.

"Remind me why we got twin girls again? Our life was peaceful before this." Yeonjun said in a teasing manner.

Beomgyu chuckled, reaching out to pat his arm affectionately. "Now, now, don't act like you're not enjoying every second of this chaos." he chided, a warm smile on his face.

He took a small step back to admire the tree, now adorned with a mix of colorful baubles and sparkling lights. "Looks pretty good, doesn't it?"

Yeonjun nodded, his gaze shifting from the tree to Beomgyu's face, taking in the familiar features, the way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled.

"It does." he agreed, before a hint of a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. "But you know what would make it even better?"

Beomgyu rolled his eyes, a hint of amusement in his expression. He knew that look all too well. "What? What would make it even better, oh wise one?"

Yeonjun leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, teasing tone. "You, under the mistletoe," he murmured, mischief sparkling in his eyes.

Beomgyu felt his heart skip a beat, a warm flush rising to his cheeks. Even after all these years, Yeonjun could still get his pulse racing.

He laughed, swatting at Yeonjun playfully. "You're so predictable, don't you think we're too old to be making out under the mistletoe?"

Yeonjun feigned a hurt pout, looking absolutely adorable. "We're not old, we're young and full of life," he protested, taking a step closer to Beomgyu, his eyes glittering with affection. "And there's no such thing as too old for mistletoe kisses."

Beomgyu chuckled, shaking his head as Yeonjun continued to pout. It was impossible to resist him when he acted all cute like this. He took a glance at the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling overhead, knowing there was no point in arguing.

"Ah, fine, have your way," he said, a fond smile on his lips, "but don't blame me if the twins walk in on us."

Yeonjun's pout instantly transformed into a victorious grin, his arms snaking around Beomgyu's waist to pull him closer.

"Oh, trust me, I won't be complaining," he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"And if the kids walk in, well, they'll just have to learn that their Dads are still madly in love."

Beomgyu couldn't help but laugh again, caught up in the familiar, loving banter. He wrapped his arms around Yeonjun's neck, tilting his head up just a little to meet his gaze.

"Still so confident, after all these years," he mused, his fingers tangling gently into Yeonjun's hair. "I love you for real."

"And I love you."

With that, Yeonjun closed the gap between them, his lips meeting Beomgyu's in a soft, sweet kiss. After so many years, the feeling of Beomgyu's lips against his own still left him breathless, and he pulled his husband closer, his heart swelling with warmth.

Just then, a small voice interrupted their moment.

"Ewww, Dads are being gross again!"

The two men jumped apart, their lips separating with a soft 'pop'. They both turned around to find their twin girls standing in the doorway, tiny hands on their hips and matching looks of disgust on their faces.

Beomgyu couldn't help but laugh, running a hand through his hair. "Ah, sorry, sorry," he said, his voice filled with an apologetic fondness. "We'll stop being gross, I promise."

"You better!" Yumi, the slightly bolder of the two, declared defiantly. "Or we'll tell Auntie Jiwon!"

At that, Beomgyu and Yeonjun burst into a joint bout of laughter, the threat from the five year old girls not exactly the most intimidating.

"Okay, okay," Yeonjun managed once he'd caught his breath, "We'll behave, we promise."

Yumi still looked unconvinced, but her sister Bomi was already distracted, eyeing the Christmas tree with curiosity. "Can we hang up the last ornament?" she asked, her eyes wide and innocent.

Yeonjun chuckled. "Of course you can Princess," he said, reaching for the delicate glass ornament, shaped like a small, shining star. "But be careful, it's fragile."

Bomi nodded, taking the ornament from Yeonjun's hand with utmost care, as if holding something incredibly precious. She clutched it to her chest, a serious expression on her face.

"I'll be extra careful," she promised, glancing over at Yumi, who had already moved to stand beside the tree.

They both looked so adorable, so eager to put up the last ornament. It was a sight that always melted Yeonjun and Beomgyu's hearts.

Yumi held the ornament up, standing on her tiptoes. Beomgyu and Yeonjun watched as she stretched her little arms as high as they could go, desperate to reach the top of the tree.

Beomgyu chuckled. "Looks like she's a little short there." he commented, unable to resist the temptation to tease.

"You're just too giant Papa!"
She huffed, Bomi nodding along with her sister.

"Oh? So should this Giant help these tiny fairies to put the star on top?"
Beomgyu looked at Yeonjun, speaking with a teasing tone, to which the twins nodded.

"Well, then the giants shall help the Fairies!"
Yeonjun chuckle, picking up Bomi, and putting her on his shoulder, looking at Beomgyu who did the same to Yumi.

Beomgyu giggled at the sight of their daughters being lifted up like little princesses, their tiny figures perched on their dads' shoulders.

"Alright, star fairy," he said to Yumi, "On the count of three, we'll put the star on the tip of the tree, okay?"

The girls nodded excitedly, clutching the star carefully in their little hands.

"Ready?" Beomgyu called out to Yeonjun, who was holding Bomi on his shoulder.

"Ready!" Yeonjun replied, carefully adjusting his grip on Bomi so she wouldn't fall.

Both girls counted down, their voices high and shrill. "One...Two...Three!"

Beomgyu and Yeonjun lifted their daughters up as high as they could, and with a final, concerted effort, the girls placed the star at the very top of the tree.

A moment of silence followed, as everyone stood back to admire the tree, crowned with its perfect, glittering star.

"Look, we did it!" Yumi declared, her chest puffed out in pride.

Bomi nodded excitedly, a wide grin on her face. "Yeah, we're the best tree decorators ever!"

Beomgyu and Yeonjun chuckled, the twins enthusiasm contagious. They lowered their daughters back down to the ground, their eyes filled with warmth and love.

"You sure are" Beomgyu agreed, ruffling Bomi's hair affectionately.

"Take a picture Dad! I want to prove to Uncle Kai we're the best decorators!"
Yumi smirked, tugging at Beomgyu's pants.

"Yes! He always says he's the best! Today he'll see!" Bomi huffed in agreement beside her sister, urging her dad to take a picture.

"Okay, okay, I'll take a picture." Beomgyu said with a laugh, reaching into his pocket for his phone. "Stand in front of the tree, my little star decorators. And smile nicely for the camera!"

"Okay! Dad, Papa, you come too!"
The twins urged, having bright smiles on their faces.

Beomgyu and Yeonjun exchanged amused looks, both realizing they had no choice but to be included in the picture. "Alright, we're coming, we're coming," Yeonjun chuckled.

They both moved closer to the tree, obeying the giggling girls. Beomgyu held his phone up, ready to capture the moment. "Everyone say cheese!"

"Cheese!"

Four little voices chimed in the familiar word, the girls all grinning widely, while Beomgyu and Yeonjun added their own grins.

Click!

The phone camera shutter clicked, freezing the moment in time. Beomgyu looked at the screen, a fond smile spreading across his face.

The warm glow of the Christmas lights reflecting in his eyes. The image captured a moment of happiness, of family, and love, frozen in time.

"Perfect," he murmured, a sense of contentment washing over him.

The girls eagerly looked at the screen, giggling and pointing at themselves. "Send it to Aunt Jiwon and uncle Soobin too!" Yumi demanded, bouncing on her toes.

"Yeah, send it to her!" Bomi chimed in, her tiny hand tugging at Beomgyu's shirt.

Beomgyu chuckled at the girls' insistance, a warm smile playing on his lips. "Alright, alright," he conceded. "I'll send it to Aunt Jiwon and Uncle Soobin. They'll love it, I'm sure."

Yeonjun patted the girls' heads affectionately.
"They'll be impressed at how wonderful these tree decorators are," he said, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of pride and love.

The girls beamed, happy with the praise. They really were the best decorators ever.

Beomgyu looked at the photo, his heart swelling with love. Four smiling faces surrounded by the glow of the Christmas lights, the festive atmosphere captured perfectly.

As the girls started to chatter again, already planning their next activity, Beomgyu put away his phone, sneaking a glance at Yeonjun. Their eyes met, and they shared a silent understanding and adoration for the moment they were experiencing.

This was their life, this was their family, and in that moment, nothing else in the world mattered more than the joy they found in each other.
