Debt Paid
(S2:E7 — Masquerade)

THEY'RE PLANNING TO KILL KATHERINE, AND THAT WON'T DO.

Genesis needs Katherine alive because Niklaus wants his petty revenge and satisfy his thirst of wanting to make Katherine miserable in the form of torturing her.

So, Genesis is now in the hospital. She heads towards the nurse's counter. She was asking the nurse behind the counter about resident doctor Simon Bennett.

"This is him." A deep husky voice says from behind. Genesis turns around and sees a man wearing scrubs with a white coat. In his hand, a chart resided. Simon walks towards the counter and places the chart on the surface.

"We need to talk in private," Genesis tells him, and Simon looks at her with a raised brow as he leans on the counter. "About?" Simon asks, skepticism in his features.

"It's about Bonnie," Genesis tells him, and that catches his attention. He fixes his posture, standing straight, attentiveness taking over.

"What about my sister?" Simon asks, face hardening as his jaw tightens.

"Let's talk about it in private. Shall we?" Genesis motions her head towards the empty room. Simon nods his head as he walks towards the room. Genesis locks the door, and suddenly she is raised against the wall with Simon using his magic on her.

"You stay away from my sister, vamp." Simon threatens, and Genesis snaps her hand twice as Simon stills, frozen in place. Simon's magic stopped. Genesis lands on the floor smoothly.

"Now. Now. No need to be hostile. Simon." Genesis tauts out. Simon grunts, "How?"

"Nothing that you need to know." Genesis dismisses him with a wave of a hand. "Let's repeat that again." Genesis continues. "I mean no harm. Witches don't harm witches, do we not? It's our code." Simon looks at her in defeat, nodding his head lightly. Genesis released him.

"Your sister. Is being used by the Salvatores again." Genesis informs him as she stands in front of him with crossed arms.

Simon closes his eyes and curses under his breath angrily. He opens his eyes again as his jaw tightens. "What are they making her do now?"

"Tonight at the masquerade. Bonnie is going to trap Katherine in a room where Katherine can't escape, and the Salvatores will kill her." Genesis tells him as a hand goes to Simon's forehead that he rubs in frustration.

"But that won't do. I need Katherine." Genesis tells him, and Simon snaps his head in her direction.

"Why?" He asks curiously.

"Let's just say Katherine has a lot of sins to pay. And my friend is going to collect it soon." Genesis tells him, and Simon nods, and she continues. "I'm here to strike a deal."

Simon instantly answers in a grumbling tone. "I don't involve myself in vampire crap."

"I know you don't, but for your sister's well-being, you will." Genesis tilts her head at him. And he purses his lips. "Every time the Salvatores ask for your sister's help with a spell. I'll discretely help her, and I'll even tell her that Elena is using their friendship for her magic." Genesis starts as Simon listens intently. "And I'll even teach her how to control her magic." she offers.

"How do I know you're only doing this to gain something?" Simon skeptically asks, and Genesis nods in understanding. "I only have good intentions for your sister, unlike the Salvatores."

"You can trust me." Genesis offers her hand to him, and Simon looks at her hand, contemplating, but he can't deny it in his gut that he could trust Genesis. So he took her hand and saw her intentions.

Genesis wants to kill the Salvatores. And Simon wants that too.

"Deal. What do you need me to do?"

"HELLO, LUCY. LONG TIME NO SEE." Genesis greeted the witch who was enjoying the buffet, and she felt Lucy stiffen, hearing the way she gulped nervously. Genesis knew before Katherine went upstairs, Lucy casted a mirroring spell. Whatever happens to Katherine happens to Elena, and vice versa. So she made Simon remove it as they spoke.

"Genesis." Lucy turns to her with a smile. Looking at her with a mask on her face, "You look gorgeous, girl." Lucy compliments, eyeing Genesis's outfit.

Genesis is dressed in a deep red, off-shoulder long gown, with a white fur draped on her bare shoulder, her red Louboutins showing from the dress split. She wore a mask of the same color as her dress.

"Thank you, now enough chit-chat." Genesis smiles at her sweetly, and she waves her hand discreetly as their conversation now won't be heard by the others.

"I plan to collect."

Lucy shakes her head. "It's not a good time. I'm also paying a debt to Katherine." Lucy argues, and Genesis chuckles.

"Don't worry about Katherine. Consider your debt to her paid," Genesis assured Lucy. Lucy purses her lips. Genesis had known her since she was in college. Genesis was the one who taught her how to control her magic and even paid her college debt. And Lucy was beyond grateful for her help.

"What is it?"

Genesis grins. She takes the replica of the moonstone and shows it to Lucy. "It's a replica. I know Katherine wants it, and we both know why." Genesis starts as Lucy looks at her with pursed lips.

"The real moonstone is with your cousin. Bonnie Bennett. Who, by the way, is being used by the Salvatores for her magic." Genesis informs her.

Lucy sighs, "Vampire business and witches always get dragged in."

"I want you to get the real moonstone from Bonnie. And give this to Katherine—place a little something-something in there. Katherine did lie to you." Genesis says, and Lucy nods with a grin as she takes the replica from Genesis. "I'll see you after it's over," Genesis tells her, and Lucy walks away.

Genesis walks towards the yard seeing Simon dressed in a dark blue velvet suit. "It's done," Simon tells her, and Genesis nods. "Thank you, Simon."

Simon purses his lips. Genesis then tells him, "Get your sister out of here." Simon nods. He wouldn't admit it, but he appreciated Genesis's help with his sister. He walked away on a task to find his sister.

Genesis walks back towards the house and arrives in the room where Damon, Stefan, and Katherine are. Genesis leans on the doorway. "Having a blast?"

"Totally," Katherine answers sarcastically with a cheshire grin. And Genesis reciprocates with a grin of her own.

"Why haven't you killed her yet?" Genesis asks, raising an eyebrow. She needs to act clueless.

"Whatever happens to her happens to Elena," Stefan informs her as Katherine plops down on the couch with a glass of whiskey. Damon grunts, "What an inconvenience."

"Maybe I should've killed you when I had the chance. Remember Katherine?" Genesis taunts, and Katherine scowls. Abruptly standing up, looking at Genesis. "Who are you?"

"Did I ruffle your feathers, darling?" Genesis teases her french accent, thick and smooth. "And who are you to know my name? It certainly is a privilege." Genesis says.

Katherine looks at Genesis irritatingly. It's annoying that the brunette vampire doesn't know anything about the woman wearing red, who also threw her in a garbage bin when she snapped her neck.

Katherine was about to snap back when Lucy walked towards them, briefly looking at Genesis, confirming that the real moonstone was with her. "Katherine," Lucy says as she raises the moonstone with her hand.

"The spell in this room has been broken. You're free to leave." Lucy tells her, and Katherine walks towards her. "Thank God."

"When I hand this over, my debt to you is over," Lucy tells her, and Katherine answers. "Done."

"I owe you nothing."

"I said done. Give it."  Katherine lays out her palm, motioning for Lucy to hand the moonstone over.

"I wouldn't do that," Damon warns.

Lucy hands the replica to Katherine. Then Katherine began to lose her breath, "You should've told me another witch was involved. She's a Bennett witch, Katherine. But I'm sure you knew that." Lucy says, her voice tight. Katherine began to fall on the floor.

"Wait. Elena..." Stefan voices out, worried.

"Elena's fine," Lucy tells him. "The spell is broken. She'll heal quickly. Bonnie's with her." Lucy then glances to her shoulder, her eyes looking at Genesis briefly. Then she looks back at Stefan and Damon.

"I apologize for my involvement." Lucy walks away. Katherine is lying on the ground unconscious. Damon looks at Stefan with a grin, too busy enjoying Katherine's defeat and not noticing Genesis slipping out of the room, following Lucy.

They stopped near the bathroom as Genesis cast a spell. Lucy gives her the real moonstone.

"Thank you, dear," Genesis tells her, and Lucy nods. Lucy sighs, "You don't need to collect anything from me. Just call me, and I'll help as you helped me." Lucy tells her, and Genesis smiles.

"I appreciate it, Lucy." Genesis smiles, hugging her. "Until then." Lucy nods as she heads out.

Genesis looks at the moonstone with a grin. Niklaus will be ecstatic to have this in his possession after 500 years. She tucks the moonstone safely into her red purse, heading back to Damon and Stefan.

"Where have you been?" Damon asks, carrying an unconscious Katherine out of the room.

"Ladies' room," Genesis replies, drifting the conversation back to Katherine. "Where are you going to put her?"

"In the tomb," Stefan tells her. "Once she's in, she won't be able to escape." Stefan continues as they head towards the back exit. Stefan tells them that he'll talk to Elena. So, Damon and Genesis drove toward the location of the church ruins.

When they arrived, they opened the tomb and threw Katherine inside with the moonstone—the replica, but they don't know that even Katherine doesn't know.

Katherine woke up, with her warning him that Elena's in danger. Damon thinks that she's lying—oh, she definitely wasn't.
