Third Person POV

Jane was a 15 years old girl, she had brown flowing hair and hazel eyes. She lived in Arizona, it was the beginning of July.

Her parents were gone on the weekend, as usual, as they had lots of work.

She was sitting on her bed staring at the ceiling...

The girl sighed. "I'm so bored, and there's nothing to do..." She had drawn in her sketchbook all morning and her hands got sour. Jane sighed again. "Will my parents even be here on the fourth?"

Her phone buzzed under her pillow as she's lying there in boredom, so she pulled it out to see what it was. Jane looked at phone to see a call from her best friend Olivia and answered it.

Hey Jane!! How have you been?

I've been alright. Kinda bored though.

Oh. Well guess what?!

What is it?

I get to go camping at the Grand Canyon for 4th of July weekend and I wanted to know if you wanted to come?

Really?! My parents aren't gonna be here for the 4th so I guess they wouldn't mind.

Great! Just so you know Alex will be there as well. Meet me at my house on July 3rd at 9:00 AM!

Okay, thanks! I will see ya, bye.

Bye.

After the call was over Jane packed her things for the camp, then went to bed as July 3rd was tomorrow.

~~TIME SKIP ~ THE NEXT MORNING~~

Jane's POV

I heard the alarm on my phone go off, so loud and obnoxious that I looked at the time and it was 8:50 AM. Then I remember.

'I have to get to Olivia's house and I only have ten minutes to get ready!'

I panicked.

I jumped out of bed as fast as I could, got ready, grabbed my things, bolted to my bike and started riding to Olivia's house.

When I arrived I was fifteen minutes late. I knocked on Olivia's door. Olivia opened it.

Olivia facepalmed. "You're finally here! What took you so long?!"

I scratched the back of my head. "I'm so sorry I slept in!"

Alex appeared next to Olivia*. "We ain't gonna get there by talking!"

"Alright common lets get movin!" My best friend shouted loud enough for kids across the street to hear.

~~TIME SKIP ~ QUITE A FEW HOURS LATER~~

Third Person POV

They got to the Grand Canyon and found their camping spot. And now, they'd almost finished setting up their camp.

"Alex set up the tents while I start making the fire pit. Jane start getting the supplies out of the car." Olivia ordered.

"Okay!" Jane replied.

"Wow your parents are really gonna let us camp all by ourselves?" Alex questioned.

"Yeah sorta, my parents are also camping about 15 minutes away from our camp site, but they promised not to bother us unless it's an emergency." Olivia replied.

"Ok, well this is still cool," he said.

"Yeah," she agreed.

They were finally done setting up the camp by this point.

"This looks great!" said Jane as the trio all sat down.

"Say, what do we want to do now?" asked Alex.

"I kinda want to hike and find some cool cave to explore" Jane immensely foreshadowed.

"Hmm... why don't we do that? It sure sounds fun." The other girl replied.

They got up and found a trail to start walling on.

They were all walking together on a main trail when Jane found a mysterious off trail.

"Hey guys, where do you think this little trail will bring us?" She asked.

Her best friend Olivia shrugged. "I don't know..."

"Want to go down it?"

"Olivias parents said to say on the main trails though..." Alex said.

Olivia nodded. "You're right..."

Jane shrugged. "Eh, this is close enough, besides I want to see something interesting." She starts to walk down the trail.

"Wait! Don't go yet I think we should just stay on the main trail." Olivia called.

"If no one comes I will just go myself." She then starts heading the unusual path anyway.

Alex rushed to join her. "I'm coming too then! I'm not missing out on an adventure!"

Olivia bit her lip. "I don't know still..."

Jane rolled her eyes. "Do what you want, we'll tell you all about the adventure you were to scared to go on when we come back!"

"Ugh, Fine! Wait up! I'm coming too."

They all walked, but it felt like the trail never ended.

"I-I think we should head back now." Olivia stuttered, nervous.

"No! Not yet, at least. There HAS to be something interesting down here! Wait a sec, look over there! It's a cave entrance!"

Alex raised his hands in the air. "FINALLY! Guys, let's go check it out!"

They all got to the entrance.

Jane yelled inside it. "HeLlO?!"

The cave copied her and repeated it till it sounded like nothing but an echoing whisper.

Alex gasped. "Woah! Man, this cave is huge, guys, let's go inside of it!

Olivia shook her head "I- I don't think we should, it's getting late and my parents might get worried."

Jane rolled her eyes. "Oliviaaaa, we're fine. They don't even know we're gone from the camp, c'mon what's the worst that could happen?!"

"Fine, but don't blame me for any issues."

They walked though the cave but made sure they could see the exit just to be safe.

Jane's POV

As my friends were walking around and talking* to each other, I saw something catch my eye. I look over to the ground and see a slightly shiny thing. While my friends were talking*, I walked over to see what it was. I dusted any dirt from off of it as it was just on the ground.

"Wow, weird what could it be?" I say as I inspect my discovery, it was a bracelet that had all the worlds country flags on it.

"Yo guys! Come look at this!" I shout to my friends.

Alex and Olivia nod. "Okay!"

The two start to walk over.

I held out the bracelet for them to see. "Look what I found!"

Olivia inspected it, "This looks like it has country flags on it** for some reason." she then said.

Alex looked excited. "Cool we found treasure!"

I nodded. "Yeah! I'm 'a try it on!"

Olivia nodded. "Okay..."

I slowly put the bracelet on and then the next thing I remember I was laying on the ground, feeling grass beneath my back.

"Wh-What happened?!" I put my arm under me to push myself into a sitting position... I look around and as I seem to be in some random grass field. "W-whe-where a-am I?"

I look up to see a figure that was blocking the bright sun. All I could see was that the figure was quite tall, but the sun was to bright in my eyes to make out the pattern on his face.

"Need a hand?" He said.
