the bad boy is everything you'd expect him to be, a loner but popular. quiet and charming and somewhat brooding, though he can't help it for being that kind of handsome. he has a strange allure, being the type of boy most girls swoon over on tv. but in real life that kind of guy isn't what you always think. he's mainly quiet and a little selfish, mal doesn't really care what others think about him which make others think he's a prick. but.. he doesn't really care. malcolm does what benefits him and those directly close with him and it's very hard for him to get emotionally attached. instead he detaches himself emotionally from situations otherwise he gets overwhelmed. he usually has a calm and collected demeanor but sometimes he cracks and gets extremely angry for no reason, he very rarely acts out more than just some yelling though. besides his rare outbursts he's also sarcastic and has an extremely dry sense of humor, often making quick witted and sly remarks when someone's being an ass. all in all, he's you're typical bad boy- cool and broken.

+ considerate and caring, even though he may not explicitly show it he does care about people. especially the rare few who get him to feel something, and he'll protect them no matter what.

+ similar to anger issues, he's very emotional and feels everything. however, he comes off as cold because he doesn't know how to deal with his emotions and instead try's to distance himself from his feelings.
+ he's quite selfish, not usually caring about others or what they think about him. it's look out for number one in his books, otherwise you'll just get hurt. very few can change this mindset, but it is possible.

+ great reflexes and fast thinking, like every classic bad boy he owns a motorcycle and that comes with your fair share of near death experiences and quick thinking required to keep one of harms way.
+ charm, he quite flirtatious and popular with the girls and can easily woo them without worrying about forming any real connection.

+ has anxiety and depression but never tells anyone. whenever he gets really anxious his hands start to shake and as a result he has a low key nicotine addiction, smoking on occasion to help his anxiety, though soon he got hooked on drugs.
+ he isn't very different to do or become anything and lacks motivation especially in school. the few things keeping him afloat are his mom, the queen bee, and his job.
+ he hates working in teams and always prefers to work alone. his brutal honestly and quiet demeanor combined with sarcastic remarks often rub people the wrong way and he finds others to be incredibly dumb and dull, so he just prefers to be on his own.

brief backstory
malcolm is a mommy's boy to say for sure. he was never fond of his dad, the reasons obvious. growing up his father was fairly absentee, except for when he wanted to teach his screw up son a lesson. showing emotion and making mistakes were always huge no nos, so he learned to limit doing either of those things. instead he emotes in the occasional fit of rage, then returns to his calm nonchalant demeanor. his mom always stuck around though, and he's very close to her. after his dad finally abandoned them his mom got a better job and eventually a better house. now he's certainly not the richest kid in school, but he's got money.
darkest secret
at one point when he was desperate for cash he and the queen bee filmed a sex tape together and sold it online to some randos, making banging bucks (literally aha). he worries that it'll get out, not so much for his own benefit but for the queen bee's.
in his junior year he had a horrible motorcycle crash, everyone thought it was an accident but it, of course, was not. he was high on approximately five different drugs and drunk out of his mind. then he had the bright idea to try to not feel anything at all, every again. he got on his bike and began riding recklessly, doing it for no reason other than he felt like it. he wanted to die. and he almost did.
