Chapter 1
Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day. This is my first ever fanfiction in english and if you'll find any grammar or spelling mistake, I'm sorry. I am not native english speaker (it's my second language), so keep that in mind ;) This story is based on Netflix original Julie&The Phantoms so all rights belong to Netflix. I hope you'll enjoy!
- Hey, Julie, I found that shir... - Noelle walked into Julie's mom's studio with a confident stride, but she stopped as soon as she noticed three boys.
- Oh, you found that shirt, great - Julie said, acting as if they were alone.
- Julie, who's your cute friend? - Luke asked as he took a few steps towards the new girl, just to take a closer look at her. She had long, brown, wavy hair. She wore black glasses, which, in Luke's opinion, suited her really well. The girl also wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans and vans shoes, same as Luke's. She had her lips painted red, which somehow completed her look. Maybe that's why he found her attractive. She definitely was his type, but he had a feeling that he saw her somewhere. It was impossible, she probably was seventeen. He had died twenty-five years ago, and hand spent all this time in a weird dark room where Alex cried.
Julie looked at her friend, and then she glanced at Luke. He was staring at her best friend with a creepy look on his face, which Julie found very strange, but she assumed that Luke was just curious about the new girl.
- She reminds me of someone - another boy scratched his head and the blonde guy next to him, rolled his eyes.
- Tell your friend that my name is Noelle, and he could've asked me himself.
- What frien... wait, you see him? – their eyes widened in shock and focused on the girl standing in front of them.
- Yeah? Why shouldn't I?
- She sees us?! - the boys looked at each other in shock and the one standing right next to Julie lowered his eyes when he realized that he called the girl "cute" out loud.
Of course, she was cute, but he would never ever in his life called an unknown girl cute, pretty or whatever, out loud. Maybe that's why he started doing that only after he died.
- Em, this is very... complicated subject - Julie started, glancing at her companions, searching for some support.
- Even strange, I would say - the boy in a leather jacket added. Noelle frowned her eyebrows, the whole situation seems so very confusing, but she decided to wait patiently for some answers.
- Does this have anything to do with this t-shirt? Or you wanted it for no reason? - she lifted the shirt up - I don't even know what Sunset Curve is!
- We - the boy who called her "cute" spoke up and took a few steps towards Noelle - are Sunset Curve. - he pointed at himself and two other boys - And this - he pulled the shirt out of the girl's hand - is our t-shirt.
- Okay - the blonde guy interrupted his friend. He assumed that it was high time to explain to this girl, Noelle, who's very much alive and could see them, what was going on - I know this can be hard to believe, but try not to freak out. Okay?
The girl nodded, giving him a sign to continue his monologue.
- Me, I'm Alex by the way hi, - he introduced himself - and my two buddies, Luke - he pointed at the boy with slightly longer her than the others - and Reggie... - Alex tapped his friend's shoulder, and Reggie's mouth formed silent "oouch" - we are ghosts.
- Ghosts? - she repeated the last word, everyone was staring at her. She raised one eyebrow and blinked a few times. She looked around, searching for some kind of phone or hidden camera, or anything that could explain this situation in any normal, rational way - Is this a prank?
- What's a prank? - Reggie whispered to Julie, and she just shook her head.
- It's not a prank. - Julie grabbed her friend's shoulder, stopping her from checking every corner of the studio - It was hard for me to believe as well, but that's the truth.
- Look, look. - the boy named Reggie interrupted and came closer to Noelle - May I?
Noelle nodded, even though she was terrified of what Reggie was going to do.
- Show me your hand - he said, and Noelle did, as told. At the exact same moment, he raised his hand and even though Noelle expected a hit or a touch or even a sound, something like in high five, nothing happened. Reggie's hand passed through hers. They really were ghosts.
- H-how is that possible? - she asked in shock.
- This is a fantastic question - Reggie replied.
- But we don't know – Luke interrupted.
Noelle pulled out her phone and took a picture of them. She had no idea what she should do or how she should act and taking a photo of them was the only idea that came into her mind. But there's nothing on the photo except three rays of light in the exact spots where the boys were standing.

- So, you're saying that you came back a few days ago, after Julie put your CD on? - Noelle summarized everything what they told her.
- That's right - Reggie confirmed.
- And you don't know why you came back?
- No, we don't - Alex answered and sat next to Noelle on the couch.
- Maybe this is about some unfinished business? - Noelle said, like it was very obvious.
- Okay, but what does this actually mean? - Luke asked, still staring at Noelle which made her a little uncomfortable. She tried to avoid Luke's eyes, but she kept looking back at them, and she didn't know why.
- Wait, she may be right with that - Julie supported her friend.
- You know that 90s movie Ghost? - the brown-haired girl asked - With Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze?
- Oh, oh, oh, I know it! - Reggie said with enthusiasm. Luke and Alex gave him a surprised look - What? My mom watched it.
- Okay - Alex said and tapped Reggie's shoulder.
- The point is... - Noelle continued - Patrick Swayze became a ghost, and he had to save Demi Moore from danger to "cross over", go to heaven or somewhere else.
- So, you are suggesting that we are Patrick Swayze, and we need to figure out who or what our Demi Moore is? - Luke asked and his question made Noelle raised her eyebrows.
- Yeah, something like that. - Noelle glanced at the time on her phone and cursed under her breath. She was supposed to be having dinner with her mom and aunt, and she was already late. - Sorry, guys, I gotta go.
Noelle got up from the sofa and quickly ran to her house without saying goodbye or waiting for their reaction. She had a lot to process. Ghosts, connections, crossing over, Demi Moore. It was too much for her, and she really wanted to go back to worrying only about her grades or where she'll go to a college. However, all three of the boys seemed really nice and friendly. She knew she may seem crazy, but she could be friends with those boys.
One question kept on popping up in her mind, Julie kinda summoned them so it was rational for her to see them, but why, on Earth, could Noelle see them too?
