THE WEDDING

SIX MONTHS LATER...

Alaric had invited Stefan to his wedding. Stefan didn't really feel like going until Caroline begged him to. Caroline offered to babysit. So, Derek, Enzo, Matt and Caroline were the designated babysitters. The reception was beautiful and all, everything was going perfect... until it wasn't. Kai Parker was back from the prison world, he killed most of the guests, put Elena in a sleeping coma, killed Jo. Bonnie had gone to get Kai to undo the spell. Stefan was knocked out and was saved by Tyler, who had forgotten Stella at the reception. As Bonnie laid on the floor bleeding, Kai heard a heartbeat. When he walked over to see who it was he was shocked when he saw who it was.

When he saw Stella laying unconscious, he smirked. Kai had become obsessed with the blonde girl. He moved the hair from her face. "You're such a pretty little thing" he whispered at the girl. Since the day he saw her, the siphoner, now heretic couldn't stop thinking about her. When Stella was coming to, she saw someone looking at her, she thought it was Stefan so she smiled.

Kai melted at the sight of her. He wanted her. No, he needed her. Kai wondered what it was like to kiss her, to feel her touch. He touched her cheek and for a second Stella smiled until she felt it, his touch wasn't  soft like Stefan's. She tried to get up but the person held her down. "Stay still. You're hurt" the voice sounded worried. Then, Damon rushed in. "Bonnie!" Stella heard Damon yelled as he tried to look for his best friend. Kai smirked once again. The heretic picked the girl and carried her over to them.

"I'll make you a deal because I'm feeling nice today" Damon looked confused until he saw Stella, in and out of consciousness. "You can take either take Bonnie with you or Stella. Only one. Chose one, Damon" he taunted the blue eyed vampire. Damon was thinking and he was thinking hard. "You can choose Bonnie. Elena's best friend. You can save her, but Elena will remain sleep until Bonnie dies. Or, you can save Stella. Your brother's lovely wife. She's so beautiful isn't she?" he asked. "But if you choose her, then that means you leave Bonnie behind and she dies, Elena can wake up. So, who's it gonna be Damon?" Kai asked. Damon wanted to choose Bonnie. She was his best friend and also Elena's. But, that meant he would have to leave Stella with Kai, who seemed obsessed with her.

If something were to happen to the girl, he knew Stefan would be crushed. Even from the small times he had seen the two together he knew Stefan loved her, more than he loved Katherine, hell, even Elena who he swore was the love of his life. Yet, Stella was taking his brother away from him. If Stella dies, Stefan would return to Mystic Falls and everything could be te way it used to be. "Times ticking Damon. Choose" Kai told him. Kai knew, he knew Damon would choose Bonnie. "If you choose Bonnie, Stefan would never forgive you. But, if you choose Stella, Elena would never forgive you. You either lose the girl you love or your brother. So, choose Damon. Stella or Bonnie?" Kai asked once again. His face held an amused look.

"I don't know" the vampire whispered. Was Elena worth losing his brother? But then again, Stefan and Damon barely even talked anymore so? Damon looked at Kai. "I choose... Bonnie..." and with that, the vampire picked up the witch and left. Kai smirked as he looked at Stella. "Don't worry pretty little thing, I'm gonna keep you safe" was the last thing Stella heard as everything went black.

I was excited as I wrote this chapter. I had to spice things up before the ending.
