one thing i wanna write here about my casting choice is the fact that i am so sick of seeing the same white girls being the face claims of literally every oc i have ever seen, like i have seen the same white actresses be put in every single book and at some point i just got so sick of it.

majority of the face claims attached to the oc's don't even look like the actual character that's supposed to be their parent, sibling, or any form of close relative.

for one obx book i saw, someone used zendaya as a face claim for pope's sister. like deadass. i don't know if she was meant to be only his half sister or not, but seriously. one is dark skinned and the other is half black and half white.

my main point with casting julia rehwald as felicity was the fact that she looks very similar to younger neve campbell who plays sidney, her mother. i did some digging through actresses who are around the college student and teen age to find julia and did a total cross examine between the two.

i didn't just pick julia because she was biracial, but because she actually looks like she could play neve campbell's daughter. the bottom half of julia's and younger neve's faces (nose, mouth, jaw) are similar and i do plan to address felicity's biracial heritage, but not as a main point.

the thing is, we see a bunch of ethnic, mixed, and biracial people all the time. felicity isn't filipino just because it's relevant and i don't want a fully white actress, but because she was the actress that looks most alike to sidney prescott in her younger years.

this may seem like overkill, but it's such a huge issue in wattpad books with every main female oc being white and as a biracial person myself, you get really sick of it. for my books and future plans for books, i tend to not include a fully white oc to be that one person who actually has a variety of ethnicities with my characters.

sorry for the lengthy explanation, but it's just something i want to bring to light since i don't see many people on this platform talk about it.
