"What'd she say?"

"Richie! Are you fucking deaf? Bill's said it a million damn times! She said nothing." Jack rolled his eyes, turning his bike onto Beverly's familiar street.

"Shut the fuck up." Richie groaned, "No one wants to hear your stupid annoying voice."

"Actually, Beverly loves to hear me talk, so shut the fuck up." Jack let a casual lie slip past his lips.

"Why don't you shut the fuck up?" Richie retaliated.

"Wow! How original." Jack slowed his bike down, letting it fall into the grass. He clapped slowly and smiled sarcastically.

Richie went to give a snarky comment back, but Beverly appearing at the bottom of the staircase stopped him.

"Thanks for coming, you guys." Beverly nervously scratched at her arm as she spoke.

Jack nodded his head, crossing his arms as he picked his bike up and leaned it against Beverly's apartment building.

"I just need to know I'm not crazy." Beverly continued without batting an eye. "I-I mean, I could have just imagined it.. but I have to know."

Jack grimaced, feeling the same way as her. He did not want to be crazy. Even if he already believed he was. He hoped that no one around her thought he was crazy.

"You're not crazy, Bev. Don't worry." Jack shrugged his shoulders, earning an eye roll from Richie.

"Yea-Yeah. Wha-What is it, anyway?" Bill asked, taking a brief glance at Jack.

"It's.. uh, it's better if I show you." Beverly trailed off nervously, looking back at her apartment.

"Is it more than we saw at the quarry?" Richie licked his lips, smirking as he pushed up his glasses.

"Shut the fuck up!" Jack rolled his eyes, "You shouldn't have been gawking at her!"

"And you shouldn't have been gawking a-"

"Shut up, Richie! Just.. Just shut up!" Eddie scoffed, throwing his arms up in exasperation.

"Anyways.. uh.. My dad would kill me if he found out I had.. boys.. in the apartment." Beverly squinted at each of them.

"Th-Then we'll leave a l-lo-lookout. Ri-Richie.. st-stay here." Bill pointed at the annoying boy.

"Woah, woah, woah, what if her dad comes back?"

"I don't give a shit." Jack winked.

"And you do what you always do. Start talking." Stan's hand grazed the stairway railing.

Jack let out a loud laugh, briefly glancing at Eddie as he walked up the stairs beside him.

"I hope she's not taking us to her bathroom.. a lot of bad things come from there."

"Like me." Jack joked, nudging Eddie.

"You aren't a bad thing, Jack." Eddie shook his head, causing Jack's cheeks to pinken as he looked down at his feet.

"Oh, uh,Th-Thanks, Eddie.." Jack let Beverly's front door shut behind them.

Eddie grinned up at him, not saying anything before he looked away, the smile suddenly vanishing. The smile became replaced with a subtle look of confusion.

Beverly flipped on the hallway light, shakily raising her hand and pointing at the door at the end of the hall.

Oh, no. Jack glanced over at Eddie, who had obvious panic clear in his eyes.

"Are you taking us to your bathroom? Because if you are, I just want you to know that most home accidents bathrooms, because that's-that's where all the bacteria is and-and-and it's where all the viruses start and-" Eddie rambled

Jack licked his lips, looking over at the smaller boy with a small grin on his face.

"Don't worry, dude, I'm sure it's not the bathroom.." Jack patted him on the shoulder comfortingly.

"It's the bathroom." Beverly said as she opened the door slowly.

"I-I knew it!" Eddie gagged, stumbling away and accidentally bumping into Jack. "Beverly, wh-why?"

"I was wrong." Jack cringed, "Sorry, dude."

"Wai-Wait, so you guys can see it, too?" Beverly looked worriedly around the group, "My dad.. he couldn't.. so I-I just thought I might be crazy."

"You're not crazy, Bev." Jack comforted, patting her on the arm. "Don't worry."

"Ye-Yeah, if you're crazy then.. we're all crazy." Eddie took a split-second glance at Jack.

Jack looked at the ground, biting his lip.

Did Eddie think he was crazy?

~~

"No, yeah, I love being your personal doorman, really! Could you losers have taken any longer?" Richie ranted, riding his bike around the group.

"Shut up, Richie!" Eddie snapped rolling his eyes.

"Yeah! Shut up, Richie." Stan agreed.

"Oh, oh, oh I get it! Trash the trashmouth-"

"Well, sorry that we were busy trying to help our friend." Jack interrupted, sropping abruptly which caused Eddie to bump into him.

"What? By imagining that her sink went all Eddie's mom's vagina on Halloween?"

"S-S-She didn't i-i-immagine it!" Bill said. "I saw it, t-t-to-too."

"Me too."

"Well, you're not exactly the most reliable source, considering you're always doped up on drugs." Richie grinned sarcastically.

"You know what? You're a fucking dick, Tozier." Jack flipped him off.

Stan, sensing an oncoming fight turned his attentions back to the weird occurrences. "You saw blood, too?"

"N-N-Not blood." Bill pursed his lips, squeezing the bike's handlebars as he looked down at the ground. "I s-saw G-G-Geo-Georgie."

Jack cringed for him as he continued, "Bu-But it wasn't.. the-there was this.. this.. this-"

"Clown?" Eddie piped up, "Yeah.. Yeah, I saw It too."

"Wait, holy shit, that was real?" Jack nodded in agreement, looking over at Eddie, "I thought I was just fuckin' insane."

"Wait a minute, can only virgins and druggies see this stuff? Is that why I'm not seein' this shit?"

"Is that the homeschooled kid's bike?" Beverly squinted.

"Oh, shit, and that's Belch Huggins car-" Eddie stumbled back, "We-we should probably go."

"No, we have to help him." Beverly argued her.

Jack nodded in agreement, leaving his bike and walking to stand next to Beverly.

"Seriously? Why?" Richie whined, shaking his shoulders.

"Because some of us aren't assholes." Jack crossed his arms, briefly looking the taller boy up and down. "Unlike others."

"You're-"

"Richie, would you stop?" Stan rolled his eyes, walking to stand next to Jack.

"Ye-Yeah, Ja-Jack is our f-f-fr-friend. Be  n-ni-nice." Bill defended.

Richie scoffed, dropping his bike. "Whatever. Let's go help that homeschooled kid."

"Glad you got some kindess in that heart of yours." The corner of Jack's lips turned up into a small smile.

"Whatever."
