THEY BOTH STOOD IN THE WOODS FACING EACH OTHER IN SILENCE. Seeing he wasn't going to speak, Aline decided to first seeing as he was still in shock. "You've changed a lot over the years Derek, I'm guessing life wasn't very kind to you." she stated, walking towards the direction of the old Hale house.

"And you look exactly the same, minus being a little paler than usual." he replied, walking the same way.

She chuckled slightly, "I guess you could say time stopped for me or I'm stuck in time while everything else keeps on moving."

They walked the rest of the way, Derek had been quieter than she would've guessed. She thought he would be asking loads of questions but she did take notice that Derek wasn't the same 16 year old boy she used to hang out with.

Entering through the front door of the house brought back a lot of memories for Aline, she hadn't set foot in it until now.

As she walked through, she got flashbacks of the foggy smoke and bright orange flames that spread all around.

She remembered the screams of her friends, she remembered them coughing. The whining of the babies, the panics as they tried to get out.

Most of all she remembered Talia reaching for her hand, as they both knew what fate they were about to become.

In the back of her mind, she heard herself humming that same old tune, then she heard her chilling scream that echoed in her mind.

Derek had noticed her just staring into space, he knew in his mind she was thinking about that night.

"You were alive this whole time?" he asked, breaking the everlasting silence.

Snapping out of her gaze, "Answer me this, do I look alive to you?"

He looked over her appearance for a minute, "No."

"Then you have your answer." she said, then walked throughout the first floor of the house, going to the basement where she was last alive.

Walking down the basement stairs, she opened the gate.

She gazed down right at the spot where she took her last living breath. "Where did the time go?" she muttered.

After her epiphany, Aline walked back upstairs to go talk to Derek.

"The boy's a beta." she suddenly said, catching Derek off guard not hearing her come up from the basement.

He then raised an eyebrow, "How did you know that?"

"Je sais tout," she answered.

"I don't speak french or frankly understand it and you know that."

Aline huffed, "Time will tell when I can tell you all, but right now you have to wait for the free for all."

"A riddle, nice." he said, annoyed.

"All you need to know is that I know, okay." she insured.

Derek looked at her, seeing as she hadn't really given him a straight answer yet he just shrugged his shoulders and walked upstairs.

Not staying around, Aline walked out of the house and into the woods knowing night was falling and in the morning a newly bitten wolf would wake up and see he wasn't in his usual scenery.

Scott McCall had just hopped in his bed getting ready for sleep, with a smile on his face as he had just gotten home from work and had asked his crush Allison out on a date–which she said yes to.

Letting sleep take him, he rolled over and suddenly woke up feeling leaves in his hand.

Checking his surroundings, Scott noticed he was in a den in nothing but boxers.

As he walked through the foggy woods, he heard a faint noise in the distance. Turning his head trying to locate it, his eyes set on the big creature in the woods that bit him and the same woman wearing a white dress standing beside it.

In shock, Scott follows the movement of the beast as he chases it but as for the woman in white she was nowhere to be found.

Continuing his chase, Scott runs all the way till he sees a wooden fence and hops over it plunging into freezing cold water.

Swimming to the top, Scott was panicking looking at every surrounding. Then he stumbled upon a house balcony, then looked down and saw a man watering his plants staring at him with confusion and shock.

Seeing as it's already awkward Scott waves and says good morning, then finds his way out.

After the beast let Scott chase after him, he stopped near the woods outside the hospital to change back into a fully grown man.

"You know you don't have to torment the poor kid, he's just confused about everything." Aline says, walking up to Peter.

Peter looked at her with a sly smirk, "You could just tell him... and Derek."

"You know I can't do that, which is why you continue to taunt the boy."

"Everything comes together for the good." he states, walking back towards the hospital not being seen.

Aline shakes her head at the man seeing him retreat, she knew Peter when he was younger but she wasn't going to lie and say this is something he wouldn't do.

At school, Scott was putting things in his locker when he was ambushed by Jackson.

Hitting the locker next to his, "All right, little man. How about you tell me where you're getting your juice." he says, forcefully.

"What?" Scott questions, startled.

"Where...are you..getting your juice?" Jackson clearly pronunciates.

"My mom does all the grocery shopping." Scott explains, clearly not getting the subject of the conversation.

"Now listen, McCall, you're gonna tell me exactly what it is and who you;re buying it from, because there's no way in hell you're out there kicking ass on the field like that without some sort of chemical boost." Jackson raged.

It all finally clicked in Scott's head, "Oh, you mean steroids. Are you on steroids?" he questions.

Jacksons then pushes Scott up against the lockers, "What the hell is going on with you, McCall?" he questions, furiously.

"What's going on with me? You really wanna know? Well, so would I! Because I can see, hear and smell things that I shouldn't be able to see, hear and smell. I do things that should be impossible, I'm sleep walking three miles into the middle of the woods, and I'm pretty much convinced that I'm totally out of my freaking mind! But wait there's more, I'm also seeing a woman wearing a white dress then she disappears the next minute." Scott blurted out.

Jackson chuckles at the boy, "You think you're funny. Don't you, McCall? I know you're hiding something. I'm gonna find out what it is. I don't care how long it takes." Jackson says, then hits the locker next to Scott's head and walks away.

Outside on the field, Stiles runs up to Scott with news. "Scott! Scott, wait up."

"Stiles I'm playing the first elimination, man. Can it wait." he asks

"Just hold on, okay? I overheard my dad on the phone. The fiber analysis came back from the lab in LA. They found animal hairs on the body from the woods!" Stiles explains.

Walking away with his gear, "Stiles I gotta go."

"Wait, no! Scott! You're not gonna believe what the animal was!" he calls out.

Seeing his friend receding onto the field he mutters, "It was a wolf."

Now standing beside him, "You're on the right track you know." she says.

Surprised, Stiles looks to his right to see who was talking to him. "What?"

"About the bite and what the animal was, you know what it is. Just follow your lead." the unknown woman says.

Stiles was about to ask who she was when Coach blew his whistle catching his attention.

Turning back around to ask the woman to stay where she was, he found out that she vanished. Like she wasn't even really there in the first place.

Looking around trying to find her, he saw that it was a dead end. So he walked onto the field to huddle around Coach.

As the practice started, Aline watched Scott play from her spot in the woods. Turning to look at the people in the stands she noticed an oddly familiar brunette haired girl, it didn't take long for her to realize that it was her former student Allison Argent.

So she knew the Argent's were in town and everything was falling into place as it was supposed to, not that she could do anything about it.

Looking back at the playing field, she saw Scott move with enhanced speed and agility and make the goal. She also saw as Scott was called over by his Coach and stated that he made the first line.

She saw the happy look on Scott's face and was proud of him, but she also knew everything was going to go downhill from there. Seeing Stiles' expression she knew the boy was going home to confirm his theory. That his best friend was a werewolf.

α―½

Making it to his house, Stiles researched on his computer.

He researched everything he could find on werewolves, soon his best friend was knocking on the other side of his bedroom door.

Opening it he let him in and started explaining everything, on how he was a werewolf and on how tonight was not a goodnight for him to be out since it was a full moon.

But he made the mistake of trying to cancel his friend's date, which led to him getting held up to the wall by Scott and being almost struck.

Seeing what he was doing, Scott let his friend go and apologized while turning around to leave.

Leaving Scott closed the door behind him and Stiles went to go pick up his computer chair that Scott seemingly turned over in the midst of their debacle.

Picking it up, he was alarmed when he saw the back had three large claw marks.

Appearing in his room behind him, "You have to go to that party to watch your friend." Aline stated.

Startled, Stiles turned around to face the same woman he talked to on the lacrosse field. Mouth agape, he asked "How did you get in here?"

"That's for me to explain another time, what you need to do is get ready for that party tonight and help your friend, whether he realizes he needs it or not." she said, before disappearing into thin air.

Stiles looked around his room for her, but didn't find a single trace. He knew it was weird but she was right he had to go to the party tonight to help his friend get through his first transition.

Standing outside the Hale House, Aline waited for Derek to walk outside knowing he was heading to the party to "stalk" Scott.

As if on cue, walking out with a plain white t–shirt and black leather jacket. Derek comes to a halt when he realizes Aline was just standing there waiting for him.

"I don't need help to control a beta." he states, walking to his car.

"Yes you do. I remember sitting in on your training when you were his age. You may look calm and collected on the outside, but you know I know you're a volcano on the inside just waiting to irrupt."

Huffing while rolling his eyes, Derek nodded knowing there was no arguing with her. "If you're coming with me you can't go to a party dressed like that ghost or not, you'd stick out like a sore thumb."

And before his eyes Aline had new clothes on, "You ready to go or not." she said phasing through his car door.

He wasn't expecting her to do that, but he knew she would most likely explain later.

Arriving at the Martin house, Aline stepped through the crowd wearing a beige blazer with a black mini dress, along with some knee high boots.

Seeing Derek standing in a corner away from everyone she joined him. "You know if you keep popping up around this kid, he's going to think you're what's wrong with him."

Derek looked at her, then back to the crowd. "Whether he likes it or not he's going to need my help."

"I know that, but he doesn't. You keep on popping up everywhere he's going to want to get rid of you." she states, trying to warn him subtly without sharing too much.

"What can he do? He's just a 16 year old kid." he states, nonchalantly.

"Remember you were 16 once."

Before Derek could say anything else on the subject, Scott enters the party and sees both of them standing in the shadows.

Looking at them, he hears and sees a dog start barking at them. Both Derek and Aline turn their heads towards the dog. Aline glows her white eyes making the dog go quiet.

Then turned back around to Scott and nodded her head towards him. Soon Allison asks if he's okay giving Aline and Derek enough time to disappear into the night.

As the party goes on later into the night, Scott suddenly feels a shift in his body. Pushing Allison away he rushes out of the party to his car.

Following him out, Allison is trying to see if he's okay, but initially she sees him get into his car and drive off without her or an explanation.

"Allison," a voice calls out, getting the girls' attention.

Turning around she sees a man and a woman standing a few feet away from her. "We're friends of Scott's." the woman says, with a thick accent.

Turning her head back around she saw Scott's car already down the road, turning back around to face them she noticed they had gotten closer.

"My name's Derek."

"And mine is Aline." they saw with a friendly smile towards her.

To Allison the woman looked familiar, but she couldn't place where she knew her.

Seeing as she felt oddly comfortable around the woman, she allowed them to take her home.

Making it to her house, they dropped her off and saw that she left her jacket. Turning to look at Derek, Aline knew what he was going to do next. She just sat in her seat and waited for the night to unravel.

α―½

Knowing he was on his way, Derek and Aline stood in the woods waiting for the newly bitten wolf to come.

Seeing him stop by the tree with the blazer hanging on it, they knew it was time.

Hearing them coming, Scott tried to look for them through the thick fog.

"Where is she?" he questioned, in a distorted voice.

"She's safe, from you." Derek said, in an antagonizing tone.

Scott looked around trying to pinpoint where the voice was coming from but was soon grabbed by Derek and they tumbled down the forest floor.

Aline rolled her ghostly eyes, as she watched the beta's assert whatever male dominance they thought they had.

Overpowering him, Derek pinned Scott up against the tree.

"What did you do with her?" Scott questioned, protectively.

But Derek wasn't listening to him at the moment. "Shh! Quiet." He ordered, listening throughout the woods.

"Too late, they're already here, run." he told Scott then took off himself.

Seeing him leave Scott got up and tried to get away but was blind sided by a flashpoint arrowhead lodging into the nearby tree.

Stumbling around, trying to regain his focus Scott was shot in the forearm with an arrow impaling him to the tree.

Derek and Aline saw this, "I've got the hunters, you get the kid." Aline said, and disappeared.

"Take him," the lead hunter ordered, but before his men could move they were hit with a powerful force knocking them out and leaving him the only one standing.

Chris took out her gun ready to shoot whatever it was. Not seeing anything he turned back around to see the beta gone.

Walking up behind him, Aline stood still till he decided to turn around.

Sensing someone, Chris turned around slowly with his hand on the trigger of his gun.

"Now, now, Chris, you wouldn't shoot Allison's old French teacher would you?" Aline questioned, with a fake look of concern on her face.

Hearing how she was in the Hale fire, he didn't hesitate; he just aimed his gun and shot her.

What he didn't expect was for the bullet to go through her body.

Looking down at where the bullet whole was supposed to be, Aline looked up slowly at him. "Chris, I would say that hurt but ultimately that would be a lie."

Chris looked at her with disbelief. "Next time I see you I expect you not to shoot," she said before vanishing. Leaving a very confused hunter behind.

Appearing beside Derek she heard Scott ask, "Who were they?"

"Hunters, the kind who have been hunting us for centuries." Derek staed.

"Not us," Aline said, circling her hand around pointing at the group. "You two." she stated.

"Us? You mean you! You did this to me!" Scott accused Derek mostly.

"Is it really so bad, Scott? That you can see better, hear more clearly, move faster than any human could ever hope? You've been given something that most people would kill for. The bite is a gift." Derek chanted, which made Aline roll her eyes at the whole statement.

"I don't want it." Scott claimed.

"You will, and you're gonna need us if you want to learn how to control it. So you and me Scott we're brothers now." Derek enforced, then turned to leave Scott in the woods.

Aline however approached the young boy carefully. "I know these past days I've been spooking you, but I'm just keeping an eye out for you. I do hope you come to terms with what you are." she said sincerely.

Then bent down to his level holding out her hand. Scott looked at her and she gestured to his forearm.

Hesitantly he placed it in her hand and watched her eyes glow white then he didn't feel in pain where the arrow wound used to be.

Standing up Aline looked down to him, "Over time things will get slightly better, Scott."

He didn't say anything, he just watched her disappear into the fog.

Second chapter is complete, and I'm really liking where this story is headed!
