Flashback
(And welcome the one who you all are waiting for🥰)
Chirping can be heard from a distance where students are having their lunch while laughing and talking to each other about whatever thing they are interested in. Teachers were as usual gossiping about how much students are giving them hard time in doing their work.
The sunlit sun was hiding behind the light black clouds, it was noon but the weather was chilly. The wind was slightly cold when it swung and touched the soft face of the boy who was sitting nowhere near the hustle.
How much he loves volleyball can be seen in his dark black shining eyes, just by how he looked at the ground below him from the not-so-far terrace. He was peacefully shutting his eyes at this feeling. He wished to play right now; the weather was perfect for it. The wind was blowing harshly. Just the way he likes it.
Playing hard till he bleeds.
To feel the pain. But he cannot.
He needs to rest. Father orders!
Why all the time his father nags at him? He is a grown-ass boy who is here for his upcoming volleyball tournament, he can manage everything by himself, right? Then why doesn't father understand this? A deep heavy sigh evacuated those red heart-shaped lips, his body was tired but the breeze couldn't let him rest.
Wanted him to feel and just feel. Then again, he can't feel a single ounce of coldness.
It hurts.
He wanted to voice it out for once. How can he even say that? He scoffed at himself and his miserable life.
Two soft giggles were fleeing around the air, but it was still distant. There were two girls when he looked down at the ground again. Just like him they both were also not doing their lunch, they were just having fun in the mud which was precisely formed because of how heavy the downpour was nearly twenty minutes ago.
Both of the girls were attending their respective classes at that time and the boy was practising for the event with his team members, thinking about the members of his team, the jet-black-haired boy thought how much they say the boy was unlikeable and worthless.
As a gentle and kind boy he was, he always wants his members to like him so he always does things that make them happy.
Doing cleaning after all the matches arranged all the balls in their set and helped others in practice no matter how tired he was because of practising hard. He wasn't the team caption, but he deserved to be. He selflessly does his best and all he gained was hatred and antipathy from members. Some members also adored him for being such a gentle and tender-hearted boy.
Namjoon and Jin Hyung were one of them and are his friends since grade fifth. Where Taehyungie Hyung was his buddy from birth. All are in the team like him and have a mutual interest in volleyball. Now thinking about who really made him feel like his existence is worth are them, and this game.
A light almost weightless rain droplet drops on his lashes making him blink rapidly, resulting in it going straight into his eyes, he fluttered them again for relief from the uncomfortable feeling in his eyes, maybe it is going to rain once more.
Both girls were looking down at the surface as the grass was filled with wetness. The surface was damp and a little bit sticky all thanks to the rain and that formed mud in which they both were jumping repeatedly like two small puppies playing together. The boy's eyes were watching them, he didn't even realize a small smile was starting to part on his lips.
The scene was pure, which made his heart heal.
All the worries about his body and members were washing away like water. And suddenly something caught his eyes before he thought he needed to see these two beauties. There's a slight redness which was surely very deep if you look closely at one of those girls' legs. But she was having fun. And so, he blinked his eyes again in confusion.
Doesn't that hurt? Just like other people feel? It has to be.
Is she like him? Is she?
His eyes widen and suddenly many thoughts were playing with his mind but he thinks he needs the explanations right now. So, his feet get in action. If she is like him, he would like to befriend her. She needs to take care of herself. Her health requires attention and supervision. Or he will ask someone from his family to do so.
But he didn't even know her and about his father, well, he will never allow to have her as a friend. But she will be good to him, not like others, the boy is sure of that. But before he does something the rain began to pour and then a voice could be heard from the ground.
"Kim Sun-Hi! Do you want to play in the rain?"
The other girl with a blue hair band, soft plump lips, and gorgeous dyed hair asked. She was practically yelling because of the heavy rainfall. The girl with the deep wound, not very well looked answered, "Yes. Can I?" Her short shoulder-length hair flipped back when she expectantly stared at her friend, now looking up after a while.
Her eyes scrunched up when another, her friend answered. "Yes! You can. Let's have fun, bear!!" And the smile that was plastered on the girl's lips when she heard this from her friend that she can play in the rain can make anyone's day better.
The same happened to the boy. He was nearly going insane when he saw who was really on the ground.
The world can't be this small!
God is favouring him a little bit too much.
He didn't believe she is the one he met today on the bus. The one, who he saw helping a small boy when he was about to hit the big banner that was about to fall, all because he certainly wanted to cross the road very quickly to meet his mum who was waiting on the other side of the road, the hand opens just ready to take her son in her arms.
The injury on the dorsal side of his hand has witnessed their first meet. The most precious moment of their life.
Him and the girl.
And that was the first time in his life he was not disappointed about what was going on inside his body.
And then he thought back to what happened today in a flip when he was on the bus driving to the school where he has to give his best in his favourite game. He even recalled how the driver of his family softly scolded him to get into the car, so they could drop him but he resembled his father.
Stubborn and Adamant.
He straight ran away from there leaving everyone speechless. But no matter how much they tried to catch him, he was gone but he knew he surely heard his mom running out from the villa and shouting for him to be careful.
A pretty toothy smile plastered again on his lips, so warm and cosy. He loves his sweet mom. One of the rarest diamonds he has with him is his momma. Not those who he wears when he goes to the fewest parties his father arranged for him with doctors in different countries.
From his birth till now, he didn't even do a single work with his body aside from his homework which was also a crisis for his father. They even lectured him for two hours after dinner all due to the only work he does aside from volleyball.
His family was unaware of the great interest the boy has in volleyball games. He plays it privately with his Hyung who strangely got admission to the school he had to play the game. It was odd for Hyung to get an entry here because Hyung simply declared openly in front of him that he hates school.
All things went aside when the sound of thunder blurred his senses from inside, instantly his eyes landed on the pair of girls but they weren't there. The rain was pouring heavily now, looking like crying too loud.
The girl with a beautiful smile in his opinion was standing in the rain, feeling the heavy droplets without thinking about her friend who was continuously calling for her to get back or she would get cold.
He learns something by now. She is not like him. By the look of her teeth, which were chattering, certainly, she can feel it. The ice-cold water.
Which he can't.
And then he got sad. But when he thinks about it thoroughly, it's a good thing. She is not like him. That's great.
What's so nice to be like him? What is even good? Nothing!
Leaving him to the thoughts of her, he blinked and found himself to the moment he met her. The sun was shining brightly as if there wasn't going to rain anytime soon.
The daylight was making everything feel good, though the hotness was nowhere touching him. He didn't forget this is the first time he will be going to travel on a bus alone. Well, got to say he is scared. Super-duper, to be clear-cut.
But he has to do it. He wants to go through everything in his life, ups and downs, wanting to get hurt, feeling the heat and cold, all the things an ordinary person does. Wanted to fall in love and get hurt, feel the pain just like others.
Like a normal person.
When he approached the nearest bus stop his eyes landed on the familiar family car which was surely keeping an eye on him. The boy shakes his head in disappointment, he can never be alone in his life. There's no privacy but to some extent, he is also thankful for it.
He didn't even realize it when a bodyguard of his father entered the bus with him. His lips lifted upward at the feel, he is on the bus for the first time. Alone by himself. He chuckled and softly praised himself on his head, patting it slowly at how he searched last night which bus would drop him to school.
His pure pretty Bambi eyes were going crazy at the feeling.
The scenery is different today, he saw how many people travel on the bus on a daily period. It wasn't a bad sentiment, after all. Everything is more open and nosier just as he prefers. But the feeling of him standing due to the rush on the bus is making him uncomfortable. The way he swings back and forth whenever the bus stops and picks a few people up.
He understands this. This is one of the most used public transportations. Rush will be there without a second thought. He has to bear this much to get familiar with people out there. The bus stopped when some people got on the bus.
There are many school girls in them, and everyone is gossiping, clearly with friends. Each one of them was happily twirling in happiness, probably satisfied that they were with their loved ones.
The mood was jolly until he saw a girl, who everyone was shoving here and there, slight hisses were leaving his lips due to discomfort but that was inaudible for him cause of the considerable distance between them. She stood near the yellow pole after she saw a little place to survive this rush.
What catches the boys' eyes was the sadness she was reflecting through her dark eyes. That was exactly the opposite of the delightfulness he was feeling a moment ago.
She was a girl with short hair, practically brushing her shoulders, swivelling around along with the way gravity shifts in the moving bus.
Her left hand is balancing her weight, the other tightly clutching her school bag. Now when he looks at it, her eyes are vague, and dark circles adorn her upper cheeks. She looks straight at the young morning bathing under the fresh sunlight.
The boy can read her as if she is his to read.
This sounded so silly even so his mind was clicking some familiarness in her. Her eyes were revealing her inner feelings to him. The way she looks at the broad road, and this beautiful morning with a small sad smile was exactly like a complete contrast of something.
Such a sweet sight, unlike her bizarre life.
He distracted himself from the sight, looking away hurriedly. A feeling of sympathy arises in his heart. He does feel bad about the girl. Who knows what's going on in her life? He tried and successfully preoccupied his mind with the other thoughts of his favourite game.
Oh, he will love this tournament gosh! He is so excited about it. There's a positive feeling bubbling somewhere in the corner of his heart, gesturing that something good is going to happen. And he is so ready for that.
The feeling of travelling with people is incredible. That's what he wanted to say. The first step was nice. Baby steps at a time to adjust himself to them.
Suddenly the bus stopped at the next stop to let people in and due to the force, he stumbled forward leaving just the distance of one pole between them. And then the rush came like a wave of water. They all tried to move onto the bus as soon as possible, afraid that the bus will depart and as if she wasn't visible to them, they pushed her to get forward.
He started moving backwards at a great speed when he saw how she was moving back to avoid touching people purposely. Now they are nearly at the end of the bus about one foot away from each other.
Then a voice came from the gate of the bus, "Sorry for the inconvenience." A healthy-aged man entered leaving everyone speechless because of how he was dragging himself leaving everyone behind. All the people on the bus didn't even stop themselves and clutch whatever they were grabbing to maintain their balance.
The man was now behind both of them said girl and boy, standing so proudly like he didn't even cause any harm to anybody. Everybody signs in annoyance at how distraction it causes them.
But the mentioned girl was not giving a single glance to the people around her. Her head was down, eyes were down, lips forming a slight pout when she looked down at her feet to see them lightly bruised. All because of the healthy man who walks past her quickly and accidentally puts his foot on her soft-skinned ankle.
In seconds, the bus started but as soon as it began it stopped abruptly, probably because of the sudden break given by the driver because a small car accident took place in front of the bus. The force was extraordinarily huge, and everyone on the bus got affected by it.
As a result, the healthy man swings forth, giving a tight shove to the jet-black-haired boy. The shove was enormous for the boy, and as result, he fell forward surprisingly to the left side. The girls also fell to their left side but the girl who took his interest just tightly clutched the pole, and was the only one who didn't get affected by it.
Or can say for just a few seconds.
A different force made them all fell to their right and now the boy fell right ahead in front of the girl with short hair, no matter how he tried to stop himself he couldn't do anything. He felt defenceless by the body-knocking force.
His right hand grabbed the pole where she was previously standing because now her body was also in motion, and the other hand went straight to grab the pole instinctively with full force to which she was about to hit her head, hard. He tried through all his power to not let the girl get hurt.
When her eyes caught what just happened and that someone is now in front of her, while her body was still in motion, she struggled badly for her body to not get in contact with the jet-black-haired boy. But exactly the opposite happened.
One second, she was here, the next second everything changed.
There goes their first precious touch.
Nonetheless, the boy's Bambi eyes got wide when the slender figure of the girl slammed on his beating chest hard, the soft hairs hit his face mercifully making his eyes close, and then a lavender scent engulfed him as the first time he embraced a girl in his folds.
The feeling was unexplainable, so puzzling that all left were gasps from his lips. Gasps at how soft her face feels when it gets smooshed on his shoulder.
The girl was trying so hard to get back but the force was only pushing her towards the boy. Her eyes watered silently like a candlelight in the darkness.
And then the driver started the bus to park it on the side of the road not before apologizing to everyone. People on the bus know the cause and understand immediately, they really were safe now all thanks to the driver.
Before she could get away from the soft yet warm chest of the boy with those sweet little Bambi eyes, a harsh hand severely grabbed her shaking hand and pulled her back with great strength making her whine in utter pain.
The back of her eyes started burning in despair, small tears again and started filling the lifeless orbs. The fear of something bad she has done without her account was eating her alive. She thought the one who pulled her away from the boy was the boy himself.
But that's not the case, it was a black body, like a bodyguard.
Her torso was in pain but it didn't stop her from asking for forgiveness. Her head bent forward with her body, giving frequent bows to the person in front of her.
She vaguely saw the one she got pushed to because she still doesn't have the best confidence to look into people's eyes. That's when a hand came forward and yanked her hand away from the tight grip. It was the beautiful boy himself. The tears landed down and she sniffled loudly, the purple bruises were now slowly flourishing on her caramel skin.
The charming boy with dark hair was shocked to see his bodyguard on the bus. But then he remembered what his father had said every time he told them he wanted to go to school by himself.
"Your bodyguard will be there with you like a shadow, whether you like it or not son. I need to take care of you and now there's no room for discussion. You are dismissed."
Silently cursing the conversations, he had with his father and their behaviour he yelled a little bit loud at his bodyguard "What do you think you're doing with her?"
Kang's hard eyes look back at the boy, trying to explain what he just saw, the bleeding hand.
The bleeding hand of who, YOUNG MASTER's.
If boss got this news, he will fire him without a single thought, they will not even let him explain his side.
How can the boy even think about this thing right now?
"Young Master, you're bleeding because of her." The said boy gingerly roamed his hand on his body. That's when he felt a liquid coming out from his elbow. "Oh." He blinked, the blood was heavily flowing, he didn't know when it happened. But it always happens. It is not new.
But how dare he yell at the girl when she was not at fault.
"But it's not her fault. I was the one who helped her in the first place." He looked straight in the eye of the person and spoke, pointing towards the girl who was crying. People on the bus were looking back at what drama was happening while coming out of the bus.
The bus was not going to proceed more because the tire was punctured. It was tremendous pressure that arises due to the force that was applied to avoid crashing in the accidental car.
The bodyguard was not having it even a tiny bit, he was way more concerned for the boy than the girl. All the boy can see is how his bodyguard's taunted eyes were not leaving her for a second.
His father's man didn't even give a single fuck about what went on with the girl. And about regret, no he will never be going to apologize for what he did to her.
"But young master, you need to take proper care-" The boy looked up in rage, put his right palm forward, stopping the other from speaking.
His sad eyes landed on the girl, who was blinking continuously, apologizing repeatedly for what she did. Her orbs were nowhere near him, she didn't even glance at him, that's what made him a little bit uncomfortable. This is always a problem with heartthrobs, if they don't get the attention, they usually get it feels off to them.
His pride hurts.
It really did.
No matter how much he has problems with his health, that didn't make him less popular with girls. No one in the school knows about his health, he is pretty thankful for it. He isn't a bad boy or some type of a fuckboy who plays with girls.
But he does get a lot of attention from girls as well as boys in his school. He isn't any bitch. He is the beauty of his school.
The one with the most handsome face, but how dare this girl, who doesn't even peek at him. When he was the one who helped her. Ugh! He pouted inside his mind.
He wasn't angry at her; he was just disappointed with himself. But the anger on his bodyguard fumes in his heart again when he looks at the black man who was glaring at the girl.
"I don't care about that and please. . .keep in mind that this is not how you treat a lady, Mr Kang!"
The boy declared in a monotonous voice, trying to be hard on his bodyguard so he can listen to him properly with all ears. Those hard eyes blinked and in the second they became Bambi when he saw the girl start running out of the bus.
"I'm sorry are you-Oh wait!"
He yelled in a soft voice not to startle her but stopped, then scowled through his baby face at the bodyguard who looked down but didn't even feel guilty because he needed to take his master to the villa.
The boy also ran out of the bus trying his best to not hurt the feelings of the girl and apologize for his bodyguard's actions. He doesn't like when people get offended by his behaviour.
When the boy came out of the bus, he first stared at the blazing sun and the light blemish sky. That's when he saw something. Before he stopped himself, he was running in a different direction from where he thought he would go.
The mind was clouded by one thing. To protect the boy who was running toward his mom because there was a huge banner falling from the big building as if purposely pushed down. But he didn't care, the small baby was unaware of the disaster which was coming toward him.
He didn't even notice how the cars were rushing on the road. He has to go to the other side of it. He gave a single glance towards the banner and without caring about himself he ran forward to the boy who was happily waddling, cooing loudly as if so happy to see his mom after a long time.
His mom for a second saw people running, her eyes perplexed at why they were coming in the direction of her baby boy when there was no bus coming to this side of the road.
The boy can see how the confusion on the mother's face turned into pure horror as she screamed looking up at the sky. His pace speeds up more, heart beating fast in his ragging chest because he never had this much restlessness in his mind.
And the way the corner blade of the banner was pointing straight to the baby's head, his eyes got teared up. It was not even ten meters away from his figure. Her mother lost her balance for a second but didn't stop, but before the disaster happened, two figures covered the baby's body in their embrace, covering it like angel wings.
The mother screamed hard and stumbled down with tears streaming down her face when her eyes stared at how the banner fell on the body of a boy with a thud and the next moment she shuddered at the noise.
Those two figures slowly move back up, the boy is bewildered about who he was hugging because the body feels too big for a baby. After opening his eyes, he saw he was hugging a girl. He backed away a little too fast confusion written all over his face.
But the girl didn't, she just sat there sobbing her heart out at what her eyes just witnessed.
Or maybe it was the grave wound on her leg without anyone's consideration.
The boy saw her hands were shaking hard, the same hands which were minutes ago on his well-built chest. The same bruised hand was clutching the baby so hard as if she was afraid that if she let go, the baby would disappear. He now can see how much bravery the girl has within her.
She came before him, without a single doubt.
He got more confused by her behaviour when she stood and pick the baby up in her embrace and then gave the baby to the mum, slightly bowing to her but didn't even answer the greeting and praises she got from the baby's mother.
Ahe didn't even look at who hugged her, but the boy surely knew she glanced at him before slowly and sadly walking back to the bus stop to catch another bus maybe for school.
The girl he just met can be considered as weird but was also. . .kinda cute!
But he didn't understand what that gaze meant. Is she grateful?
The small smile she gave him? Is she thankful? But why? He didn't even do anything at all.
Today things were happening unexpectedly, he is feeling uneasy to adjust himself to it.
Before he took his route to pick up the bus for school his bodyguard came running towards him, huffing and puffing his chest with tiredness,
"Did you get hurt, young master? Why is there so much blood?"
The boy blinked first in irritation, the bitterness was all over the place but when he heard what the man said, he looked around and saw blood.
He again thoroughly checked himself.
Head. No.
Face. No.
Hands. No.
Legs. No
He didn't feel liquid coming out. No, there is no blood. Then who is bleeding?
His eyes go back to the baby. No, he is happily running with her mum. Then?
Then his eyes go towards the blood trail going towards the other side of the road, the same side where she left, and the banner was left there with blood on it.
No! God, she must be bleeding hard!
He needs to see her. Like ordinary humans do when they see people bleeding. But before he does something for her, as always, the bodyguard nags at him and a car comes and picks the boy up for further safety purposes. Two hours after the driver dropped him to school. Not before his father gave him a full-ass lecture.
He didn't even get to see how she was but now she is here in front of her.
The rain had stopped, and the vision is extra clear now. And those two figures were sitting there, happily chatting with each other. His heart was content after seeing her laughing with her friend after the crazy incident that happened some hours ago. Not a single person can see. But he can.
That she is a warrior.
As the boy was no doubt intrigued by her charming and supportive personality.
The small accident has blown his mind away. But he is grateful to God that they made him meet someone who is so daring and fearless when helping others.
But there are many things he doesn't know about her which were still eagerly waiting for him to open.
And heal them.
He saw on the other side of the building, that a figure was also glancing at them. The emotions were not definable from the distance but his smile got wide when he saw who he was. Does father already make him spy on me? Why he is like this? Then Jungkook giggled at the person cause he looks so serious.
He is his favourite person, Yoongi Hyung.
