11.3 I'll see you soon

I had left Sherwin to go back to the room but stopped seeing Max walking out of a room. "Hey," He turned towards me as a smile showed. "Hey," He replied walking up to me.

"Random question but did you know that guy that hung himself?"

He crossed his arms and slowly nodded, "I mean, not personal. He was a lawyer, Su said he told her that the place will be destroyed." I nodded while fumbling with my necklace, "It must be hard to leave your home," I muttered. He frowned, "Yeah, I take it you don't know how it is." I nodded giving him a small smile, "I never really had something like this,"

"Yeah," He said before looking at the room he had just came out of before back at me, "Uh..Do you wanna come in?" He used his thumb to point towards the room.

"Sure, yeah,

I walked into the room looking around hearing him shut the door behind me. "So this is the great Maxwell's room?"

"Sherwin told you didn't he?"

"What can I say- Is that a pentagram?" I pointed up to the ceiling. "Can never be to careful," He started. "Listen I was going to check up on Susan and Tyler -- See how they are," He said. "Your a good brother and uncle," I said smiling and he chuckled. "Just trying my best with this whole hunting thing." He said, walking to a table and grabbing a bottle.

"I never asked how you got into the wonderful world of monster hunting?" I said sarcastically.

He turned around, "Left for college last year and my first roommate turned out to be haunted. Looked into different things and fell down the rabbit hole. You?" He than poured himself a drink.

"I was five,"

He almost spit his drink out, "I'm sorry?" I giggled a little at his reaction. "My dad was a hunting and me and my brothers would travel with him."

He nodded as a bit of awkward silence took over. But I quickly broke it, "Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked. "Sure," He replied taking a drink. "Uh ... Your last name is West but your sister's name is Thompson?" I asked lightly as he nodded. "Su got married -- had Tyler but when Tyler was 4 ... Susan's husband passed away. They both sticked with his last name to honor him."

"I'm sorry,"

He nodded slowly, "He was a good guy. He was good to Su so he had my good side," He said and I smiled.

"So it's only you and your brothers?" He asked. "Yeah, yeah it is," I replied as we both sat the drinks on the table. "My mom passed when I was 5 and gave me to my Dad... he, uh he past almost a year ago." He nodded looking up, "Sorry,"

"It's fine,"

We gave each other a small smile before he looked down and then back ay me. We started at each other for a long moment and before I knew it; we learned forward as our lips touched. We pulled away as I smiled before her hand behind my head as I wrapped my arms around his neck and went into another kiss. I felt I was moving backward as the kiss deepened. My back gently touched the wall behind me.

He pulled my body closer to his as I ran my hands through his hair. He moved his hands down my body, he motioned for me to jump. I did while I wrapped my legs around his waist.

He than quickly laid me down on his bed before breaking the heated kiss to move towards my neck leaving kiss behind.

💽

My eyes fluttered open but quickly closed do to the sun from the window. I felt a pair of arm's wrap around me and I smiled light. "Morning," I said snuggling into his arm.

"I didn't mean yo wake you," His voice said in a husky tone.

I looked over and smiled, "Please, it's the best way to wake up." He kissed my neck as I let a small giggle out before laying my head back down and closing my eyes.

My eyes quickly shot back open. "Oh no," I whispered, looking over towards the clock on his nightstand. Dean and Sam! I'm so dead!

"Shit, I am so dead," I said as I started looking for my clothes.

"What's wrong?" He asked sitting up.

"My brothers they are going to murder me," I said quickly pulling my pants up. "Oh right," He said. "Yeah," I said putting my shoes on as he whistled I looked over to see him holding my shirt. "Right I might need that," I said as he laughed throwing my shirt. "You're adorable when you get stressed,"

I looked around making sure I had everything. "Okay, I think I have everything. Now I-I need to-" I started as I turned to see him standing behind me shirtless with his boxers on. "Go?"

He looked at me as I smiled, "I know, I'll see you later," He said wrapping his arms around me and kissed me deeply before breaking apart. "Defiantly," I breathed out before her walked me to the door and held it open for me. I quickly walked out of the room, making sure no one would look before heading to the room.

I quietly sneaked in seeing Dean looking at the bathroom. "Oh, I hate you," Sam grumbled.

"I know you do," Dean agreed before looking at me. "Hey, where in the hell have you been?"

"I lost track of time," I lied as he frowned. I cleared my throat, "Hey, turns out when Grandma Rose was a tyke, she had a Creole nanny who wore a hoodoo necklace." I walked over to stand next to Dean at the doorway of the bathroom where Sam was throwing up.

"So you think she taught Rose hoodoo?" Sam asked.

"Yep,"

"All right," He said, standing up before walking towards us, "I think it's time we talked to Rose, then."

I covered my nose as my face sunched up, "You should probably brush your teeth first and than a shower," I remarked before walking over to one of the beds.

After we all got cleaned up, we went up to the 'PRIVATE' door and Sam knocked. "Hello? Susan?" Dean and I looked around to make sure no one was watching. "Clear?"

"Uh huh," I answered with a glance and Sam kneeled down, picking the lock. He opened the door and we walked inside. I looked around at all the dolls that looked like they were staring at us. "Don't look at them Carm. They might come and get you," Dean teased as I shook my head. "They're giving me a creepy vibe," I said before we followed Sam to another door in the back. We all exchanged a glance before Dean opened the door.

There was a dimly lit staircase, Dean lead the way as I followed behind him and Sam followed behind me. We walked upstairs and to the end of another hallway, and into a small room. Inside was an old woman sitting in a wheelchair facing the rainy window, her back was facing us. It was Rose West, Susan and Max's mother. Me and my brothers exchanged another glance before slowly walking towards her.

"Ms. West? Ms. West?" Sam asked softly but she jjust stared, trembling and I frowned. "Rose? Hi, Ms. West, we're not here to hurt you, it's okay-" Sam noticed that she was just trembling harder this time. He than looked at me and Dean, "Guys," He said quietly before he pulled us both to the side, "This women had a stroke."

"Yeah, but hoodoo's hands-on," Dean said.  "Yeah," Sam agreed.

"I mean, you've got to mix herbs, and chant, and build an altar," Dean said. "So it can't be Rose," I said with an even more confused look, "Maybe it's not even hoodoo."

"Or she could be faking," Dean suggested. "Yeah, what are you gonna do, poke her with a stick?" Sam asked. Our older brother was looking at Rose, nodding which made me and Sam give him a look. "Dude, you're not poking her with stick. Don't you even dare think about it," I scolded.

"What the hell?" We looked at the entry to see Susan and Max. They frowned at us before Susan walked over to her mother as she looked at us, "What are you doing in here?"

"Oh, we just wanted to talk to Rose..." Sam started as Dean said, "Well, the door was open..."

Susan looked at Rose, "Look at her, she is scared out of her wits." She looked at us, "I want you out of my hotel in 2 minutes or I'm calling the cops." I looked at Max and went to say something but Dean grabbed my arm, pulling me with him and Sam out.

We went to our room grabbing our stuff before heading out. I grabbed Salem and we climbed into the Impala and drove away. I looked out the window to see that Susan and Max were still outside, watching us really leave. I sighed as I looked away, "Where are we going to hid?"

"I'll make a turn, find somewhere," Dean said and I nodded before looking out the window again. Knowing I screwed up royalty with Max.

💽

We parked close by the inn and hide behind the building. Watching as Susan stood by her driver door of her red car, saying goodbye to Sherwin before he drove away in his truck.

After a few moments, the wind started to blow as the swings started to move on there own. "Dude," I whispered hitting Dean's arm, pointing at the swings.

Susan looked at the swings with her arms crossed across her chest as she wrapped her coat tightly around herself. Then moved to the playground cautiously.

"We have to stop her," I said but Dean grabbed my arm, "Not yet. If she see us she'll think we pulled a prank or something," He said. We watched as the teeter-totter moved too before She put her hand to stop it. But then everything started moving faster, and suddenly her car's engine revved as it went straight towards her.

"Max!" She yelled as Sam suddenly ran towards her, tackling her out of the way. Max ran outside as Dean and I rushed towards Sam and Susan. "Are you okay?" Sam asked her.

"I think so," She replied as Max grabbed her arm, and him and I helped her up. "What happened?" He asked.

"The car -- It's all of a sudden...I just -- I don't know," She stuttered.

"Come on, come on. Let's get inside, let's go," Dean said and all of us went back into the inn. We walked straight into the bar, "Whisky," She said as we lead her to a table. "Sure. I know the feeling," Sam said as he walked to the bar.

"What the hell happened out there?" Max asked. "You want the truth?" I asked putting my fingers up to my lower lip. "Yes," He quickly replied as Dean and I exchanged a look before looking back at the two. "Well..." Dean started, "At first we thought it was some sort of hoodoo curse, but that out there? That was definitely spirit."

Sam came back and handed Susan a glass of whiskey, "Here."

"You're insane," She said before taking a drink.

"It's been said," I muttered looking over at Max. "You could've told me," He said as I looked down. "I didn't want to make you even more paranoid."

"Look, I'm sorry guys," Sam started. "We don't exactly have time to ease you into this, but we need to know when your mother had the stroke."

Susan frowned and exchanged a look with Max before looking back at us, "What does that have to do with any --"

"Just answer the question, please," I said cutting her off.

"About a month ago," Max informed. "Right before the killings began," Sam stated and than looked at me and Dean, "So what if Rose was working hoodoo, but not to hurt anyone. To protect them."

"She was using the five spot urns to ward off the spirit," Dean said.

"Until she had a stroke and she couldn't anymore," I added. "I don't believe this,' Susan said shaking her head.

"Listen, sister, that car didn't try to you down by itself , okay? I mean, I guess it did, technically, but but the spirit can -- forget it," Dean said as I quickly slapped his head before kneeling down in front of her. "Look, believe what you want. But the fact is you, your family are in danger, okay? So you need to clear everybody out of here: your daughters, your mother, your-" I stopped myself.

Max frowned as him and Susan looked at each other. "I only have one daughter," she informed.

"One?" Sam repeated.

"I thought Tyler had a sister named Maggie," Dean pointed out.

"Maggie's imaginary," Max informed. I put my fingers to my lips and exchanged a look with my brothers before looking back at the siblings, "Where's Tyler?"

"She's in her room," Susan replied before me and my brothers walked away as her and Max followed us. "What is it?" Max asked grabbed my arm lightly. "You didn't check to see if she was a ghost." I said as we ran upstairs.

He opened the 'PRIVATE' door and we rushed inside. "Ty!" The floor was littered with broken dolls. "Oh my god, Tyler," Susan called as she ran to the other rooms. "She's not here!" She rushed back in, standing beside Max who wrapped an arm around her.

"What do you know about Maggie," I asked the siblings.

"Uh, not much. Um, Tyler's been talking about her since Mom got sick," She replied. "Okay, did you ever know anyone by that name?" Sam asked.

"Uh, no..."

"Think, think, I mean, somebody that could have lived here, might have passed away?" Dean asked.

"Wait, our mom had a sister named Margaret," Ryan said. "She barely spoke about her," Susan added. "Did Margaret happen to die here when she was a kid?" I asked.

"Yeah, she drowned in the pool,"

I looked at my brothers, before we all rushed out and everyone followed. We ran through the gardens to the pool house. We reached the door and pounded on it, seeing Tyler standing on the top level, holding onto the railing. She was about to jump into the plastic-covered pool below. The door was locked tight, and Max, Sam, Dean and I started pounding at the glass to break it.

"Tyler!"

"Tyler!"

Tyler turned her head to look at them, "Mommy! Uncle Max!" Something pushed her into the pool below, making her scream before landing into the plastic-covered pool.

"Is there another entrance?" Dean asked.

"Around the back," He replied before running away with Susan following. Dean turned to me and Sam, "Keep working." He ran after them and Sam continued to pound at the door. I looked around and spotted a large potted plant. I pulled the plant out and picked the pot. "Sammy," I said giving him the pot. He finally broke through the glass and I ran in first.

Without ant hesitation I was already up and over the railing and into the pool. I pushed past the plastic cover, swimming towards Tyler. I lifted her up, pulling her above the water.

Sam ran down the stairs towards us as I heard the back door break through. Dean, Max and Susan ran towards us kneeling at the pool edge.

I laid Tyler on the edge of the pool next to them and waited. She suddenly coughed, waking up and we all sighed in relief. "Thank god! Thank god, thank god," Susan cried, wrapping her arms around her daughter.

"Mommy!"

"Yeah, baby, I'm here," Susan assured as Max  put his hand on her shoulder. "Tyler do you see Maggie anywhere?" I asked softly. She looked around before looking back at me, "No, she's gone."

Sam helped get me out of the pool as Dean wrapped his jacket around me. We went back to the 'PRIVATE' room, Susan turned to her daughter, "Stay here for a moment I'll go get Grandma, okay?" Tyler nodded as Max wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

I looked at me brothers, "I don't get it, did Maggie just stop?" Sam shrugged, "Seems like it."

"Well, where the hell did she go?" Dean asked.

Suddenly, Susan screamed from upstairs. "Susan?" Max called as we all ran up to Rose's room. We all froze when we saw Rose in her wheelchair, dead.

I quickly turned Tyler around making sure she didn't see. That's when I saw Salem, "Tyler you see that cat?" She nodded, "He's name is Salem and he's going to lead you downstairs and keep you company." I said as Salem lead her down.

Susan rushed to Max and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her before pulling her out, looking for Tyler. "Salem is with her," I whispered to him before he walked down stairs. Me and my brothers exchanged a look before looking back at Rose's body, sighing.

💽

Later we watched as the paramedics taking Rose's body. After that we went towards Susan and Max. "Paramedics said it was another stroke," He informed.

"Do you think ... Margaret could have had something to do with it?" Susan asked us. "We don't know," Dean replied. "But it's possible, is it?" Max asked as I gave a small nod, "But it's possible, yeah," Sam replied.

I looked between Max and Susan, "I'm sorry," I said.

"What for? Max told me what you did getting Ty out of the room. You've given me everything," She replied and we all looked at the entry of the building seeing Tyler walking out, changed in different clothes.

"Hey, ready to go kiddo?" Max asked.

Tyler ran up to me and tugged on my hand. I bent down to her level. "Can I say bye to kitty?" She asked as I smiled. "He would be mad if you didn't," I said picking her up and putting on my hip. We turned towards the Impala and I pointed to the back window. "Okay cover your ears," I said as she did.  "Salem!" A second past and his little head popped into view as she started waving towards him.

I put her down and crouched back down. "He wanted me to give you something," I said pulling out the pair of cat ears I had tucked behind me. I placed them on top of her head and she smiled widely.

"Now, Tyler you're sure Maggie's not around anymore?" I asked. "I'm sure. I'd see her, "She replied.

I guess whatever's going on must be over," Dean said as Susan and Tyler walked towards Max's car. "Good then," Max said as we all headed to his car.

Tyler climbed into the backseat and Susan looked at us as Max opened the driver door. "You guys take care of yourselves, alright?" I said as Susan wrapped her arms around me, hugging me as I returned, "Thank you, all of you." She said as we pulled away.

She than walked around the car and climbed into the passenger seat. Max and I looked at each other before at both my brothers.

Sam realised and cleared his throat, brushing his shoulder at Dean's, which made him look at him, "What?"

Sam nodded his head towards the Impala but Dean didn't get it. He let out a sigh and looked at me, "We'll be at the car." He turned to Max, "See you later." With that he dragged Dean away with him.

I turned back to Max, "So I still have a lot to learn." He said as I nodded.

"Yup,"

We stared at each other for a moment before I looked down and then back at him. He took a step towards me, "You know where I'll be. Maybe I can show you it one day?" He said as I nodded.

He stepped closer, placing his lips on mine. I smiled into it before we pulled away, smiling at each other. "See you around," I said. He nodded, "See you."

He took a few steps back, climbing into the driver seat. I watched as he and his family pulled away before walking over to my brothers. "Well, well ..." Dean said, smirking.

I lightly hit his shoulder, "Shut up,"

"I like him," Sam said letting out a small chuckle. I smiled looking down, "Shut up," I said and they smirked.

"Well, you saved the mom," Dean said, looking at Sam and then at me, "You saved the girl. Not a bad day. 'Course you know, I could have saved 'em myself, but I didn't want you to feel useless."

Sam and I let out a chuckle as we walked to our doors. "Alright, I appreciate it," Sam said.

"Feels good getting back up, doesn't it?" I asked.

He smiled, "Yeah, it does. But it doesn't change what we talked about last night, guys."

"We talked about a lot of things last night," Dean said. "You know what I mean," He said, looking at both of us. "You were wasted," I pointed out. "But you weren't," He said looking at Dean, "And you promised."

I rolled my eyes, climbing into the back seat. Dean climbed into the driver seat and Sam in the passenger seat. I sighed lightly as he turned the car on. When I saw him suddenly frowned and turned slightly in his seat. "You never did tell me where you were last night?" Sam frowned but turned to me as well.

I bite the inside of my check, "Nowhere," I said simple. "Stop asking and get to driving."

Dean scoffed, shaking his head before turning back, "Yes, ma'am." Sam let out a smile as he turned back. Dean pulled the Impala out and we drove away from inn.
