ONE?!

with nothing else to do, yeonjun and sakura decided to take a trip to ikea. it was one of the only stores the pair were able to go in without buying anything, which is why it was such an ideal place.

they had already made their way through the living rooms, and were currently in the kitchen models. they pretended they were living in the sets many more times than they'd like to admit.

opening the cabinet, the eldest took out two glass cups and set them on the counter, sliding one to the girl. she rushed to catch it as it almost fell. the two made panicked eye contact.

"holy shit, man, would we have had to pay for that?" she asked, though she knew he probably had the faintest idea. he shrugged, "let's not think about that. it didn't happen so...." she sighed, and put the cup down for good.

"maybe we should go to the bedroom section instead, nothing us two could break in there," she suggested, to which he responded, "us two can'tΒ  break a bed but i'm sure you and taehyun can break one."

she gasped in shock, and slapped his shoulder. "what the fuck is wrong with you?!" he laughed in between her weak punches, "you can't just say that, oh my god. we're going to the bathrooms instead."

she quickly added on to her sentence, "if you make a sex joke i will fucking kill you, choi yeonjun." he put his hands up in defense, "damn, okay. didn't know i was able to get under your skin that easily."

"you fucking asshole!" she insulted through a giggle, her words complete contradicting the way the pair were holding hands while walking to the new models. "yeah, but you love me for it."

TWO?!

sakura wasn't normally one to let it be like this. she would normally ignore it until it went away, why wasn't it going away now? how come people were still able to ridicule her for the slightest things?

she scrolled through the endless comments, feeling like she was drowning. she swore she usually didn't let them affect her, but sometimes she gave in. sometimes she just couldn't keep up that wall that gave her strength. now was one of those times.

she just prayed that nobody would walk in as she felt slight tears pool in her eyes. she could say with certainty that her members have probably seen her cry an amount of times you could count with your hand. she intended to keep it that way.

with every new comment, her heart dropped a little lower. how was she supposed to do her job as an entertainer when almost everybody hated her? wasn't that the one thing she was supposed to prevent?

she let out a quiet gasp as she watched the doorknob twist and the door open, revealing yeonjun. "do you have my book-" he quickly rushed to her side once noticing the girls state. "what's wrong, kkura?" she heard his voice get softer.

"it's nothing, jjun, i'm fine. your book is over there," she attempted to cover it up, but her shaky voice and her red eyes gave it all away. reaching for her phone, he could only frown.

"why are you reading these?" when she didn't answer, he asked another question, "you know they're not true, right?" her bottom lip quivered and she looked down at her blanket. "sakura," he trailed off.

she lifted her head slightly to meet his eyes, "they're just jealous of your success. you're the most talented person i know. you're strong, and can endure anything, but i want you to know that i'm here. i'm here when you need help in any sense, i'm here for you and always will be, no matter what, okay? i love you."

THREE?!

the duo sat on the couch, a blanket covering their legs and a bag of sour cream and onion chips in between the two. after spending way longer than normal scouring netflix for something good to watch, they ending up choosing a bad reality dating show called "too hot to handle."

she was reluctant to even start watching, "i can't believe you're making me watch this. this is the weirdest show i've ever fucking seen. these horny motherfuckers are willing to give up $200,000 for sex. good lord."

he agreed with her, "i know right! and that robot that follows them everywhere is fucking creepy, like i don't want that bitch following me around. and the producers definitely chose the name "lana" for it because it's anal spelled backwards. like guys, let's be more creative, please."

despite the pairs immediate resentment to the show, they couldn't help but get a little invested. whenever someone they hated came on screen they would both boo, and whenever someone got touchy with someone they were legitimately sitting on the edge of the couch.

"how much do you think that'll cost them? oh my god," he mumbled. "that's gonna be a ton, it wasn't just like a quick makeout session, that was genuinely love-making," she pointed out. he agreed, "i would hate to be on a show with those two."

as the number taken was revealed, the two screamed. "five thousand dollars?!" they looked at each other then back at the screen multiple times. "that's insane!" he exclaimed and she could only nod vigorously.

"i wish the other contestants could just kick them out. is that possible? it has to be," she asked and then answered her own question. "it probably is, but i doubt they got the option yet, considering we're only on episode three," he reasoned.

"speaking about that, it's getting late. we should probably go to sleep," he suggested, already getting out of his comfortable position on the couch. she stopped him,"we have to finish this show, dude. i don't think i could survive not knowing what the final cash prize is, especially considering they might not be able to boot them out!"

FOUR?!

yeonjun was a confident guy, he was confident with himself and his values. but that didn't mean he had issues with his image. he wished he didn't, but it was simply human nature. sometimes he wasn't that hot guy that catches everyone's eye.

he stared at his reflection in the stand-up mirror, feeling worse and worse the longer he picked out things he disliked about himself. he wished he could stop, but he couldn't. and he hated it.

god was definitely not on his side that day, as he knew a long day of showing everyone his face was ahead of him. it wasn't anything obscure, but he wished he could stay inside just this once. just once. but he knew he couldn't.

"jun~ we have to get ready, we're leaving in a few!" she called out from the other side of his bedroom door. "okay, be there in a minute," he replied, but he didn't sound like normal. even sakura noticed it.

"i'm coming in, okay?" she warned while opening the door. before he could pretend like nothing happened, she was already frowning at him. "what's up, jun?" her demeanor was soft juxtaposed to her previous behavior.

he breathed out, "i don't feel...." he looked for the right word, "pretty." her eyebrows furrowed. "i think you're pretty. i don't think there's a single person that doesn't think that way too." he sighed.

"it's not that, i just don't feel comfortable going outside. i don't feel like i look good enough for everyone to see me. i mean, look at me right now." she felt her heart slightly break.

"don't say that, jun. you look amazing, you always do. and even if you didn't, i, the boys, and moa, will continue to love you for you. your looks aren't everything, your personality is what really captures people's hearts. you're super good-looking anyway, jun. but, if you don't want to go out i can tell our manager you aren't feeling good. is that okay? i mean, i don't mean to be repetitive, but you really do look good, jun."

FIVE?!

making eye contact with the eldest, they had a silent conversation through their eyes. she felt like she was in school again, as she watched yeonjun ask to go to the bathroom. waiting just the right amount of time, she asked the choreographer if she could too.

without a suspicion in the world, she was given permission to do so, but quickly. she would not be quick, not at all, but the choreographer didn't have to know that.

she found yeonjun waiting for her in the hall, a stupid smile on his face. they ducked through the hallways like they were in a spy movie, trying their best to get to the main exit inconspicuously.

the two were just lucky nobody was paying too much attention, because if a staff member looked there way for longer than five seconds, they would've been able to tell they were definitely up to something. still, they had successfully made it out of their building.

it was already one am, and practice felt like it had barely started. the pair's first destination was the convinces store. dancing around to the department store type of music, they swiftly made their way to the cup noodle section.

somehow, they convinced the cashier to let them use the staff room to make their newly bought meal. she sat on the couch and watched as the eldest struggled to make the noodles, but eventually get them finished.

they sat on the bench outside of the store, happily eating their food. they watched the cars pass by every once in a while, just taking in their surroundings. despite the obvious dangers, the two felt truly at peace.

she sighed as she heard her phone ring, pulling it out of her back pocket. "oh my god, it's the choreographer," yeonjun ushered her to accept it, which she did. "ah, i'm so sorry. i'm still in the bathroom, my stomach really hurts. i'll be back soon, i promise!" she fibbed, and yeonjun watched with a laugh. setting her phone down after the call, the pair continued to eat. their choreographer would just have to wait.
