"Sure. Now, can we talk about the bigger issue here?." Michelle said making trio look in her direction. Percy looked confused "what bigger issue?" Michelle crossed her arms across her chest "you could have saved your mother."That's what she said to you like you discussed it already. Is your mother still alive?." Michelle questioned..

Percy cleared his throat looking at the girl "she's with hades. But I appreciate your concern," Grover continued look at his uncle "Guys,just please stop." Grover tried to speak up

Michelle quickly looked at Grover then back at Percy "Oh, I'm concerned. What are you actually doing on this quest? And why did I have to hear about this from Medusa?" Michelle questioned hardly looking away from Percy

Percy quickly responded staring back at her "Okay, while we're at it, "you should have accepted my offer?" What's that about do you think?. And why did we have to hear it from Alecto?" Percy slightly raised his voice before Grover yelled in frustration "Enough! The hat was a gift from her mother. It's the only thing she's ever possessed that connects them. That oughta matter to you." Percy sighed "Okay, but how are we gonna make sure this thing is safe?"

Grover looked at michelle "I'm not up to that yet.. And you, really? His mom's alive. Can you imagine how confusing that must be for him? feeling like he may have to choose between the fate of world and the fate of the only person who's ever cared about him?" Grover raised his voice at Michelle for the first time.

Annabeth finally spoke "Why are you talking like this-" she started but got cut off "Because all day I've been trying to keep this quest on track without upsetting anyone. But maybe things need to get a little upsetting before they move forward." Grover spoke louder

"She asked you a question back in the woods, and you never really answered. What are you do afraid of?" Grover looked at Percy

"What are you talking about" he asked

Grover quickly replied "you heard me"

"I don't know" Percy looked away

"I think you do. You've been fighting with her, you've been fighting with me ,And for gods sake Michelle!.-"

Percy spoke in frustration "Because the oracle said one of you would betray me. Okay?" Percy sighed as he looked at annabeth "You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend, and you shall fail to save what matter most in the end." That's the rest of what she said to me."

"I chose her because I couldn't imagine we'd ever be friends. And I chose you because I thought if I can count on anyone to be on my side no matter what, it was you and now, I'm feeling so alone I don't know what to think or who to trust... And michelle I chose you cause of your beauty that's all." Percy spoke in anger but calmed down

Michelle froze. This was last thing she wanted to happen "you what?." Spoke an angry Michelle "I trusted you! I thought- what the fuck is wrong with you" Michelle felt tears pouring out her eyes she quickly turned and walked away.

Percy ran after her not caring about how annabeth looked at him

"Michelle please-" Percy said as the girl stopped before looking at him

"How could you.. you know Percy- I thought you were better than that." Michelle spoke looking into his eyes

"I know- but it's not the truth I promise.. your smart, kind, funny" Percy pleaded with Michelle to forgive him "And how do I know it's true huh- I've been stuck in annabeths shadow since I've got claimed by Aphrodite. I feel like I'm nothing but a useless pair of pretty shoes. Ive let people walk over me my whole life!!" Michelle yelled looking at Percy who had a genuine concern for her

"But when you chose me.. I thought you actually cared.." Michelle walked back to Grover and annabeth Percy soon followed her not saying anything.

Percy didn't mean what he said. He was just telling a lie because he couldn't get himself to admit his true feelings for Michelle.

"I didn't mean it that way.." Percy spoke to annabeth

"Alecto offered to help out quest if I gave you up to her." Michelle said bluntly

"What did you say?" Percy questioned

"I killed her sister..." Michelle replied looking down still feeling about bit hurt but she quickly disregarded it

"Medusa offered to help me save my mom if I turned on you guys."

"And what'd you say" Annabeth asked

"I cut off her head.." Percy said

"You didn't choose to be demigods.. we didn't choose this quest. But we can decide that as long as the four of us are together, none of us are gonna be alone. And if we can't do that, we might as well just head back to camp right now. 'Cause we won't make it.." Grover spoke looking at everyone

Percy finally spoke up "I think I've got a better idea what to do with this." He walked over to a book flipping through it "Hermes express, she ships these things all over. Some of it goes to Olympus"

"Percy, you can't ship Medusas head to Olympus." Annabeth said "why not?" He replied "Because the gods won't like it." Annabeth said quickly "at all. At all" Grover and Michelle added "why? That's what you do with dangerous stuff. Like batteries, you just send 'em back where they came from."

"Okay. Look, this is a bad idea" Annabeth said before following the silence..
