"Who dare kill my dear husband!" Bellatrix cried kneeling beside the pale body of Rodophulous. 

There were many silent faces, others were dazed. I was among the ones who were silent surveying the scene carefully. I didn't feel a glimpse of sadness, nor did I feel guilty. The actions you decide always come back to you. 

This would be the exact fate of every one of the killers.

"Dad..? Dad what happen to you, who did this to you..!" I walked towards him, studying his pale, silent face. 

"Dad.." 

I called out his name, there was only a silent reply.

My hand reached for my father's hand, his fingers noticeably larger than mine, paler than mine, colder than mine. 

Why was he so silent?

Something hard dropped into me, something my heart could not bear. I was glaring at the dead body of my father. 

A loud cry shuddered from within me. My cheeks were puffy and my hands were covered in hot red blood that shimmered. He had been so violently stabbed and beaten, that his blood hid his face, and his blood hid every part of him. There were deep cuts, bruises, and scars from everywhere. 

"You told me this would be my best birthday."

 Walking in sync with Draco. The day was gloomy,  it was a frigid cold wind that felt pleasant when brushed against my face with a nonexistent sun. I was entirely lost, not in reality but re-calling my past, old but never to be forgotten memories. 

I was too young to face what my father had gone through, for a few moments I didn't even realize he had been murdered-

"Emerlyn!" called out Draco, and I immediately snapped back into reality. 

"Where were you lost?"

The past. 

"Are you thinking what I am?" Before I could even answer he continued. "Uncle's unexpected death?"

I forgot.

I forgot for a minute the culprit was related to Draco. 

I nodded slightly, avoiding all eye contact as my eyes were glued to the ground. 

"Honestly, what murderer could have been so heartless to stab someone like that," Draco commented, it was ironic; he was ranting to the killer. "I will do something about this"

That comment also made me lose balance. Do something about this?  What was he going to do? Before I could process anything else an old lady appearing to be healthy approached us out of nowhere. 

"Would you like for me to read what's written in your future?" she examined me, and her eyes quickly turned to Draco. 

What fucking bullshit. 

"No, I don't believe in that" I answered cockily, turning around to walk away, expecting Draco to do so as well.

"I'd like to" he replied, I was stunned and turned back to my original position.

"Don't tell me! you actually-" I retorted only to be cut off.

"Alright then." she gently turned Draco's hands around looking at the faint lines on his palms, asking about his zodiac signs, birthplace, birth time, and birth date. I rolled my eyes, absolutely done with this.

"So..." Draco impatiently yet excitedly asked the old lady.  I crossed my arms. Let's see what an old lady had to say about his future.

She bit the insides of her cheek.

"Strange, I've never seen a marriage like this one." my lips parted apart. Was she pulling a joke on me or something?

It didn't look like it, Draco himself was perplexed. "How do you know-?"

"You will find you're love but with hatred, you'll have abundance and happiness with warm tears, you will step on a good path after you have crossed the harsh, rocky ones." She spoke all at once confidently.

 "You'll show her the melody created in your heart, but she'll tangle the melody into different parts." she finally came to a halt and let out of his hands. 

Draco was affected by these words and was silent for a few. "What do you mean?"

"You'll know what I mean when you experience those days of hardship" she turned to me. "Are you sure you're still not interested in this reading?"

I liked the way she put every word together. Still not convinced, I agreed nonetheless. She repeated the first steps with Draco and set her blue eyes onto my bright eyes. 

"You are special  all I can read, no matter how carefully I read into you there is a cloud, a cloud with many hidden emotions covering your future." 

"Huh?"

"You have vengeance, anger, and love all mixed up in one cloud.  Be careful of the next steps you take, don't make a mistake even by accident because it can destruct everything."

That's it I was done, I was growing anxious second by second. I just couldn't listen to her words anymore.

"Do you think that old lady was serious about what she said?" Draco let out a small chuckle, whilst staring at his reflection. 

I had been reading a novel and looked over at him.

"Not, probably wants us to re-consider our lives" I responded with no full attention.

"She denied it when I tried to pay her, usually people do this to gain money, rather she denied it!"

That was a good point. 

"I dunno..besides I'm probably not that 'she', I'm sure I won't be the one 'tangling you're melody'" I quoted with my fingers, placing the hardcover of the novel on my lap. 

Draco gave a silent reply and took a seat beside me. 

"Besides, I don't think I'm that girl....we only married each other over a deal-"

"And we'll end up divorcing each other over a deal as well"

He stole my words, no matter how much I tried to fight with destiny, this was a simple truth. There was no connection, no commitment.

I was stuck at a meeting with all my co-workers. Placing my head on the chair waiting for the chief to arrive. The was weird and mute silence, it was seven in the morning, and obviously, no one wanted to speak. I noticed that Draco was among the absentees. Maybe, he got busy with something. 

During the waiting that felt like ages, I felt a weird, aghast feeling. From the corner of my eyes, I knew Pansy was glaring at me. Her eyes were stuck on me. I hated it, I hated it when people would stare at me, it made me feel like an outcast. 

No, I was overthinking. I reminded myself. 

I built up the courage to turn my eyes to her and face her. Yet again, she was glaring at me with a solemn look. 

Oh.

She was envious of me because I married Draco, wasn't she- 

The door opened for what seemed like the chief walked in, rather it was actually Draco. He had a proud, mischievous smirk on his face. He walked in and with ease took a seat on a chair, leaning. 

He had never done that, usually, he would sit right and appear nervous but annoyed.

"The chief was kicked off as the ministry figured out he was doing fraud and I was given his position" he announced proudly in a short explanation. 

The audience cheered in joy, almost everyone despised the previous chief. During the time period, Draco had set his gaze on me, waiting for my reaction. I only let out a silent smile and we prolonged eye - contact, longer than we should have. It made my knees feel weak.

Oh, Tom. 

I needed to meet this man right now.

"Congratulations, Draco" Pansy remarked, standing closely in front of Draco. 

"Thanks" he replied in a loving voice, brushing his fingers on her soft right cheek. 

Hot steaming anger grew within me. I wanted to practically step my perfect nails into my palms but I restrained myself. Instead, I harshly smacked the cup with the butterbeer onto the table. Some of the cream and liquid pooled around the cup. 

I couldn't care less, my back met their faces and I left.  

I wasn't jealous,

I was just

Annoyed.

"Can you believe it, he was trying to make me jealous?" I spoke harshly about the most recent event to Serena while sitting on the kitchen counter, I could smell the pleasant smell coming from the stove. 

One thing I loved about Serena was how good she was at cooking. I loved eating one dish from her and it was the cakes she made. 

"Well I mean, what if he wasn't?" 

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, didn't you tell me he had something going on with her, right?"

I rolled my eyes in frustration. "But they only do it in front of me?"

"I think you're taking it a bit too personally...Emerlyn.."

Maybe, I was.
