TRIGGER WARNING: Torture, human experimentation, abuse, killing/blood

name: Eryu Akemi Song

Eryu - whisper

nicknames: Yu-kun, Ake (middle name reference), Ice King

age: 17

birthday: February 4th

height: 5'9"

weight: *bows deeply* Please tell me based on info here-

body appearance: Eryu has a tall, slender body one could say was almost bony or delicate like a doll's. He has sharp, dark eyes that are flecked with gray around his pupils that move around a lot. He appears like he's malnourished a lot, but it's just his natural state. Eryu also kind of appears pale.

hair: Darkish-light blue, pretty messy most of the times. It hangs everywhere. The right section of his hair is longer than the left for some reason.

bust: NONE HE'S A G U Y HAHAHA-

waist: Pretty thin... uh... *again, hopelessly perplexed face*

butt: YEAH N O P E YOU CAN DO YOUR BEST ESTIMATION BUT I AM N O T GOING TO GO HERE I'M SO SORRRRRRYYYYY- *runs off into the sunset*

etc: He has a birthmark in the shape of the number '6' on the upper right section of his forehead, which is usually very well hidden by his hair.

DO YOU KNOW HOW A W K W A R D I FELT WHILE DOING THIS PART LIKE WHAT I HATE THINKING ABOUT BUTT OR BUST OR- *dissolves into embarrassment*

casual outfit: When he's not in his hero outfit Eryu pretty much just throws on a lightweight, easy to move in T-shirt, maybe a sweater if it's necessary, a pair of comfortable pants, and maybe a hat if it's cold and goes out. He doesn't really care about his appearance so he just kind of puts on whatever's nearby, it's rare that he actually puts thought into his appearance. (Usually, he's seen in his hero outfit because it's pretty day-to-day)

hero outfit: Eryu's hero outfit is pretty simple: long white trench coat, black boots, black dress shirt. Of course, though, inside the coat are stocked with so. Many. Tools. On one side of his jacket is completely stocked with all sorts of flashlights, laser points, etc. The other side is filled with normal weapons like flash bangs, sleeping gas darts, bombs, knives, guns, etc., along with different kinds of whistles and a good amount of batteries. However, because he keeps in mind that having a long outfit can be bad at times, the long part of the coat is able to be ripped off in times of need-so most of his tools are strapped onto him. Around his neck, he also wears his trademark whistle, as well as a small loudspeaker. Strapped onto him is also an inhaler, to deal with his asthma and drawbacks.

Picture!

aesthetic: ? I don't really know...

piercings: One, on his right ear, a little yellow diamond. It's usually covered by his hair.

tattoos: One, a black-and-white tattoo of an ice rose (with a stem) on his left arm.

scars: All over on his arms and body, curved and thick. There are also several scars littered all over but they're less noticeable.

body mods: NOOOOOOO NO NO NO *run away because even the thought of surgeries scare me*

personality: Upon first glance, Eryu seems like your typical villain guy: A bit on the unhinged side, remorseless, vengeful, and, of course, a touch-or maybe a lot-psycho with a lot of problems. And. Uh. That he is! Eryu is all of the above, and much more! Like a true villain, he really doesn't like heroes in general. (Except Eraserhead, Hawks, and Present Mic. He likes them. Oh, and Midnight, because her sadistic side is PLUS ULTRA BABIES-) He hates how they give the public promises of peace and protection but still fail to save those who really need it even if they reach for help. Yes, he's aware that they can't be everywhere at once, and yes, he's aware that not every problem can have a solution in time, but still. They make such grandiose promises, but in reality, who can they save? The people they want to? The ones they choose to save? It also infuriates him that UA can spend so much money building those fancy training grounds and yet have they spared any big sum of money to the poor people in the slums? NOOOOOOOOOOO! He can't stand any of that. He's vengeful and angry towards the heroes for being unable to do any of that, and can often be caught glaring at them.

In reality, Eryu is really just a big idiot with a heart bigger than his brain, although he doesn't seem to realize it himself. He has his own brand of justice, even if it's twisted-in his many years of killing he's never once killed an innocent unless he was forced. All the people he killed were the bad guys-and a hero or two or many but we'll bypass that for now, 'kay~? He can't stand seeing people who were already disregarded because of their Quirk or their appearance or their money status-anything really-be regarded even lower for the exact same reasons. It seems so hypocritical and unnecessary to him and it makes him really angry. To people he doesn't know, he comes off as first and foremost super cold, a bit sardonic, aloof, uncaring, and shys away from any kind of human contact. But if he's comfortable with you or the atmosphere is relaxed-ish he'll loosen up instantly, revealing his other side! In reality he's a kind guy who really just wants the best for everyone and let everyone see everyone's sides, even though his words can come off as blunt, sharp, and uncaring. Around friends he's carefree and laughs a lot, especially if they're funny or said something funny, and likes to poke fun at them occasionally for fun. Although he's naturally curious by nature, he knows when not to pry into backstories and knows a scarred person when he sees it-since he's one himself! But Eryu is also very determined. Once he sets his mind to something it's really, really, really hard to get his mind away-this can also be regarded as *cue jazz hands* stubbornness! He won't stop until he reaches his goal, not unless you're prepared to kill to stop him! *cue confetti and party poppers* He's a sharp guy with animal-like instincts and killer reflexes-even though he's physically weak, like the guy can't land a punch to knock anybody out for too long for the life of him, he makes it up with his speed. Eryu's also very intelligent and knows a lot about street life and how to fend for himself, with great survival instincts. You want him on your side during a battle, and you'd better hope he doesn't point that sword towards you!

side: You choose, I think I'm leaning towards 'villain'...

quirk: Wave Controller

type of quirk: Emitter (*me silently crying in the background again because, again, I hate being part of the 'common' group*) but it also could be regarded as Transformation?? Kind of?? I'm not sure...

shorter quirk description: He can freely control waves of any kind-light, sound, and water (or anything 'with properties of a wave'), amplifying and focusing them mainly. However, he must conduct light and sound through objects like flashlights or whistles for the best results.

longer quirk description: While this ability might seem a bit on the typical side to most people, Eryu definitely likes to turn it into his own. He primarily uses his Quirk through a simple laser pointer and military flashlight, along with other light-based tools. Using his Quirk he can amplify his laser pointer into an actual laser capable of burning through at least cement, although afterwards if he uses it to slice through something that thick it will run out of power. He can also use his laser pointer for rapid bursts of fire, but again it will break afterwards and become unusable. With the military flashlight, he can amplify it to such a degree that he creates a light saber of sorts, able to easily pierce through a metal beam. All these tools run on batteries which will run out eventually and as such Eryu has several, several, several tools like those on him at all times. However, even without tools such as lasers or flashlights, Eryu can simply use his hand to create powerful flashes of light. Even a single finger from his attack can knock out a powerful Quirk user like Todoroki or Bakugo for at least twelve hours, and even after that their eyesight would probably be kind of blurry. (The flash of light causes an abnormality in the brain's electrical signals) He can also distort the light around him for a brief moment to confuse enemies long enough for him to get them. However, it's important to keep in mind that ALL OF HIS TOOLS ARE... ELECTRIC! Which means, yes, once exposed to water they will die and stutter out, becoming virtually useless. Not fun. And in order to perform rapid-fire attacks he needs to have a ridiculous amount of backups stocked on him. To 'stun out' a person with the lights, he needs to actually touch their forehead for it to work properly, which can be rather unfortunate. His stunner attack will not work properly on somebody with a Quirk that controls electricity or electric signals (like Kaminari)-at most it will blur their eyesight temporarily like the feeling you get after accidentally looking at the sun.

For sound waves, he mainly just uses a whistle, amplifying the sounds to create powerful shockwaves. He can also just use his voice to shout, but it's not as strong and he uses a loudspeaker for that. He can make a barrier of sound, but it only blocks big attacks one at a time, which isn't useful for rapid-fire attacks. He can destroy things with sound and open up crevices in the Earth with his voice but afterwards he'll lose his voice for a good twenty-four hours (he'll only be able to rasp and croak and make out unintelligible hoarse noises like an old man ahahaha) Eryu can twang string to startle or stun somebody temporarily, make his own movements soundless, and make a whisper travel across long distances (super useful for spying and stuff). He can also enhance his own hearing by increasing the sound in the area around him. (Also useful for infiltration and spying). Although all of the above will only last a few moments, for the sound/hearing manipulation it's extremely unstable, it's either broken up and fizzling out here and there like a broken radio or blasting straight through his ears and almost knocking him out like one of Present Mic's shouts.

However, due to past trauma, despite light and sound being his strongest aspects of 'wave', Eryu prefers to manipulate the literal waves: water. (He claims it's because unlike light and sound, water doesn't require a tool to conduct properly) He can manipulate water to do whatever he wants, but usually freezes it to become ice. He can draw water from thin air, at the cost of his own oxygen after a while. Eryu can also control somebody else's blood, but only for like 10 seconds and the control isn't strong... at all, actually, much to his chagrin (he's working on it) He uses it to sweep away enemies, capture them, but his favorite move is... to dump a water bubble on his enemy's head and wait for them to give up because they're about to drown. Yeah. Suuuuuuper fancy. He can also freeze the ice all over him to create something like Kirishima's hardening but that will only last 3 minutes before very painful, incancipating, very quick frostbite will cover him head to toe and incanipate him for a good time.

5 quirk abilities: Already mentioned in the longer quirk description!

drawbacks: Mostly already included in the longer quirk description but here's a summary; Eryu needs tools to conduct light and sound properly or else things can go haywire, he needs to be in close contact with his target in order to perform his 'stun attack' on them, despite his many years of self-training he still has trouble properly controlling his Quirk without his tools, needs to carry a ridiculous amount of backups in case his tools run out of energy, his tools are all vulnerable to water (will die and stutter out like all electric things do in water), he has a very weak body, has terrible stamina, has asthma, taking water out of thin air for too long will end up suffocating himself and giving him breathing problems, will lose voice for about twenty-four hours after performing attacks with sound without tools, easy to defeat him if you find out about his weaknesses and how to exploit his trauma easily, can't use Quirk continuously (like continously without stopping at all) for more than three minutes... *looks back* I think that's it? Oh yeah! Because of all the tests done on him, he has a naturally weak constitution, and because he had to remove the trackers in his knees, his knees are rather weak and are usually the first to give out when he's exhausted. Want to take him down quick or catch him by surprise? Aim for his knees first, peoples!

(Tell me if I need to add more)

for combat?: Definitely!

range: All ranges, he has weapons for long distance, close combat fighting, and mid-range as well. Prefers mid-range.

fighting style: Because Eryu definitely knows that Quirks aren't everything, he's trained in taekwondo and martial arts as well. He also knows some level of hypnosis, and has definitely trained in the sword arts in order to master his 'light saber'. He is the type of person who hates dragged-on fights and is the type to usually just finish it quickly from the very start.

sexuality: asexual aromantic (pansexual)

gender: male

love interest: No thank you madam/sir, I want to watch the love unfold! (again)

family members: Amare Song (mother, dead), Bellum Song (father, also dead)

friends: Most of Class 1-A, your OC and the others if that's okay??

best friends: Most of Class 1-V. "My lady, try harder-" "FINE!" Most of Class 1-V, as well as Shinso (so relatable!) Uraraka, Midoriya (when he's not going on and on about his hero fetish, that is), Todoroki, Kirishima, Kaminari, Tokoyami

ex or s/o: Nope. *coming from a person who has had a rather tragic love life themself, both in wooing writing and drawing and real life*

background: Eryu doesn't remember ever meeting his parents at all. His earliest memory is of a wavy brown-haired woman and a blue-haired man tearfully crying out to him as he was carried away by who-knows-what. He grew up in some sort of secluded facility. Even at his young age the scientists had already detected his very strange Quirk-being able to control anything with a wave, which opens up so many possibilities!-and decided to bring him into the facility to 'study' him. Which, of course meant that he was basically dragged into experiment after experiment. Strange unidentified drug after strange unidentified drug were injected into his body on a near daily basis, or at least every week. Not to mention they started forcing him to use his Quirk on living things after a while. In the beginning, he resisted-of course, any child with a good mind wouldn't want to have those strange liquids inside him so often, nor would they want to continue to torture people! He was surprised when a particular scientist, a balding old skinny man missing an eye, agreed and asked him to follow him into a room. Curious, Eryu agreed. That turned out to be his downfall. Once inside, he was immediately tied up and held down as that old man-who was pretty insane-took out some strange blade and slashed his arms, torso, and legs, striking harder every time Eryu cried out for him to stop until finally Eryu used his Quirk to attack the man, taking off an arm. Pleased at last, despite missing an arm, the old man whispered to him, "Don't you see? You were meant... to use this power of yours to kill. You can't ever save anyone... since you couldn't even save yourself until you were almost dead." Eryu fell unconscious soon afterward, too traumatized by the old man's words and his torture.

Two weeks later he was finally sort-of recovered from the scars, but not emotionally. He became emotionless and robotic, following every order without so much blinking or making any change in emotion. He barely even flinched even as he used his Quirk to test out killing methods. He became so tired of life and the only thing that was fun to him was watching heroes on television. But as time went by, questions slowly started to stir to life in his head-in particular, this one: If those heroes are so great, so revered by everyone... why can't they save people like me, who need so much help? Why do they only reach out a hand to the problems they can see and touch easily? More and more questions like that started to build up as cracks started to appear in the robotic persona he'd built up over the years. Finally when he was ten he broke out of the facility with a lot of effort and crawled to the slums, hiding himself after checking himself over thoroughly for tracking devices. After about three weeks of fending for himself in that cutthroat world and healing from his wounds from his escape, the men from the facility somehow found him. Eryu ran away, slaughtered every man except one. But three weeks later, the same thing happened again. Then again, and again. Sick and tired of playing cat and mouse, Eryu went to a woman with a device-detecting Quirk. She discovered there was a tracking device planted on his knee, hidden, which was the reason Eryu kept on being found no matter how well he hid himself. She also found a heat-seeking tracker on his other knee. A kindly middle-aged woman, she agreed to remove all devices from his body.

Eryu woke up an hour later (he'd gotten a sleeping drug so he wouldn't feel the pain) and despite the extreme pain he felt later when he tried to stand, he felt so free when the woman showed him the bloodied, removed tracking devices that the pain hardly mattered at all. He stayed a little longer with the woman, whose name was Sia, until he recovered, then went out to the most evil gang in the area to learn how to 'destroy all evil'. A remarkably fast learner, he stayed with the gang for about half a year learning how to hone his Quirk before getting bored and leaving. Then he seeked to find out what had happened to his parents. After doing some digging, he finally discovered what happened to them... but it turns out they had died years ago, killed by the landlord when they failed to pay rent, despite having reached out to the heroes for help. For days Eryu just sat in the streets, stunned and so furious, because why? Why, even though the heroes made golden-lined promises of protection and peace, even though they claimed to be 'heroes', why had they ignored his parents' ask for help? All those questions he'd had about the heroes flooded out like a broken dam, but this time, filled with fury and contempt. He suppressed those emotions, telling himself that he would get his revenge when the time came-and he did, he immediately went to slaughter that landlord painfully and slowly. Those emotions only got worse as he came back to see Sia again and discovered she had been killed by some mysterious force after filing a report about a stalker to the heroes. Sia was perhaps the only person he'd ever felt even a shred of love for, and her death enraged him. But because he couldn't just kill mindlessly-that would be like turning himself in! he instead spent more time honing his Quirk, silently and quietly in the shadows. Eventually, he was able enough to kill people he deemed 'evil' easily. He developed the reputation of 'Ice Crystal Rose Killer' because of his trademark rose made out of ice he left behind each time he killed somebody. Finally the heroes were sent out to detain him, and with some struggle they got him. (Actually, to be precise, they dug into his past and got the old man to come out and traumatize him enough to make him go peacefully with them.) He spent two years in jail, one year with the therapists, and now, after six months of practicing 'civil living', he's been offered to go to UA's Class 1-V!

. . . Okay so the summary for that GIGANTIC LONG PARAGRAPHS OF ME RAMBLING ON AND ON AND ON (i swear how did my backstory writing skills get even LONGER AND MORE ADDING TOO MANY DETAILS YOU DON'T REALLY WANT/NEED TO KNOW) IS:

Eryu grew up in a facility where he got experimented on and was forced to do experiments. He got traumatized in particular by one old psycho scientist man who told him his Quirk would only be good for killing and nothing else. He ran away at ten. However due to trackers in his knees he kept on getting found out, then running away, repeat. A woman named Sia helped him remove the trackers. He found out that first his parents had been killed then Sia despite asking the heroes for help. Enraged his fury towards heroes was reignited. He spent time honing his skills, started killing off baddies, got the reputation 'Ice Crystal Rose Killer', and finally got detained by the officials by using that same old creepy psycho scientist man to traumatize him enough to get him into custody. Two years of prison, one year of therapy, and six months of training to live 'civilly' later, he just got his offer to UA's Class 1-V!

any trauma: OH YEAHHHH, DE F I N TE L Y ! You haven't known me long enough to know, but those who do know me will definitely tell you that one of my OC-making rules is: "If they don't have some of trauma-unless it's on purpose because I want a break-then IT WON'T WORK I NEED A TORTURED OC MWAHAHAHAHA-". So! Ahem! Eryu is deeply afraid of any kind of thin needle (those things they use to give you shots) coming anywhere near him. Even just the sight will get him starting to hyperventilate. He is also so. Very. Afraid. Of doctors and scientists. Even seeing anybody in a white lab coat-especially if they're old and balding-will send him into a panic attack, shouting out unintelligible words, begging them not to hurt him, that he'll be better and good, and scuttling away, too afraid to attack. He has severe PTSD and to this day if he encounters anything triggering he first feels nauseous and stomach pains, before the nightmares and panic attacks set in if it's really triggering. He can't handle being in any kind of facility and is slightly claustrophobic. He doesn't feel comfortable wearing anything light green like the hospital gown he spent most of his early days wearing (that is, mint green).

likes: showing people the real truths of the world, even if it means forcefully, that one moment of realization, epiphanies, himself, seaweed, seafood, reading (anything and everything), cutting down bad people, revenge

dislikes: himself, scientists, doctors, perfection, people discriminating people based on their Quirks, like if they're 'villainous' or 'evil' and whatnot, boring lectures, disillusioned and naive people, heroes, the black-and-white view of the world they live in, complete peace (because it seems fake), fake people, people who play others based on their appearance, gold diggers, people who annoy him constantly for no good reason, people who are fanatics after a person for no good reason

favorite color: None. But if he had to choose he'd say that pretty opalescent light that seems almost colorless but sparkles into a million different colors when the light hits it the right way, he likes seeing the sparkles.

trivia:

- Every time he holds a knife or blade of any kind in his hand he has this brief fleeting desire to either stab himself in the chest with or stab somebody else nearby with it. Of course he doesn't actually do it but the thought's always there. (This actually happens to me)

- Likes boba and tapioca milk tea

- Sometimes can be a real workaholic (like literally one time he stayed up all night sleepworking and in the morning when he woke he thought somebody else had hacked his computer because all of his work was completed)

- MUST DESTROY ANYTHING PERFECT. ANYTHING PERFECT AT ALL, MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE SMALL CRACK OR SOMETHING IN IT!

- Is slightly mysophobic, wears gloves

- Horrible with technology but great at hacking somewhat miraculously

- Isn't a very picky person but you would be surprised he can be super prissy at the weirdest times (especially if he's editing something of yours, you better prepare yourself because if he spots a myriad of mistakes: "WAIT WHAT WHY DID YOU DO THAT IT'S THIS NOT THAT FIX THAT IMMEDIATELY-OH WAIT A FREAKING MINUTE THAT'S NOT RIGHT EITHER IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE THAT INSTEAD, FIX THAT TOO, AND-". He gets super fired up then.)

- Can read for hours and hours and when reading gets surprisingly vocal like he can be just reading this one part and suddenly burst out in emotions, totally ignoring everyone else giving him a strange look. He tries to hold this habit back when in public, but doesn't when with familiar people.

- Surprisingly, can actually be quite airheaded and a daydreamer, he just loves to prop his head on his hand and stare into space for minutes on end when he's bored until somebody snaps him out of it.

internship: **because I don't have nearly enough information, please give me a person you think my OC would do the best with for an internship, thank you**

physical strength?: 4/6 (his body needs to be strong to hold up all his tools he's got strapped on him)

speed: 6/6

control of quirk: 4/6

attack: 6/6

defense: 3/6

experience: 5/6

intelligence: 5/6

cooperation: 2/6 (depends on the situation)

overall power level: ... Actually I don't want to be impudent so you can decide yourself!

I'm terrible at stats so if you find anything off or think something needs to be changed by all means tell me and I'll fix it because... you're probably right. -v-'

When you were first offered to be in Class 1-V how did you react?: Eryu is feeling pretty skeptical about the whole thing. He doesn't know what to think, because to him it's basically like a recipe for DISASTER. DISASTER! Like, a bunch of villains in the same class, in a school filled with everything the villains are supposed to hate? In his own words: "Oh my gods. How idiotic can those heroes get? Only an idiot would do this, you know that right, right?" He is interested to learn more about his fellow villains, though.

When you met your love interest(s) how did you react and what happened?: [Not filled out, please see 'Love Interest']

How do you feel about UA?: Eryu doesn't really like it. While he does feel interested in the many ways he could improve his Quirk with their training, a lot about it just screams about things he doesn't like: The perfect setup, those white walls, that promised security, and especially the way they can just like spend so much money on those training grounds when there are so many people out there struggling without money. He feels hemmed in by all those stares and people with naive, disillusioned views of the world.

What's your perspective on this situation?: [See 'How do you feel about UA/Class 1-V]

are you a traitor?: ... Uh... No...?

- - - - - - - - -

There's my OC, I really hope you accept him because I literally pushed myself to finish this because I didn't want to make an OC then find out the applications are closed again ^v^'

(I really apologize if this feels rushed and confusing, feel free to ask questions away-as well as tell me if I missed anything, or if something doesn't add up-here! - - - >)

I do have another OC who's a girl who was created first, buuuuuuut... most OCs are girls so far so I decided to turn this guy in first! Although maybe I should put in the other one as a minor background lady since I like how un-flashy her Quirk is.

I look forwards to your story! \^O^/
