6. Healing and New people..... Why!
While the incident of yesterday had finally started to impact my life, it made no noticeable difference in my behaviour, at least according to my grandparents.
They assumed that the stress of the studies had finally caught up to me and tried to pacify my mind by doing something or the other. Sometimes dadi would feed me my favourite foods, other times dadu would try to teach me, help me learn in a better manner.
While I appreciated all of it, I still wasn't able to shake away the memories or the setback I had because of it. It made me angry.
Not the incident. I had come to terms with that, but the aftermath of it. Watching each step as if I was being followed, being scared of every man other than Yudhishthir or my grandfather. It was in a few words frustrating.
I was unable to accept why my mind had not yet moved on, when I had apparently accepted the truth.
Yudhishthir seemed to think the other way. He said, " Your body may have healed, you may try to force your mind to heal, but it will do that on its own. Leave it be and you will feel better. "
I did try to leave it be. That was worse. I would wake up each night in a pool of sweat. Haunting nightmares of what could have happened.
Each night I was greeted by that friendly face that I had known for years, but the face held a different personality that I had loved.
My dear AJ. That idiot can't manage to write a letter of absence without me, how would he fair in the past world?
This personality however wasn't too bad either. I understood why he was held in a high regard, even though he did bet his own wife without her permission.
I would wake up, scared, confused thrashing, when I would be comforted by two strong hands directing my head to his lap, waiting as long as I slept.
I tried to tell him he would hurt his back, but he wouldn't listen.
It was adorable. What?

It had been six after the incident. Life had been rather smooth, I mean, ignoring the obvious. The April attempt of the exam was fast approaching and so was holi. I would be proud of myself, no matter the result. Plus I had applied to more exams.... Race abhi baaki hi thi.
But we did get our first clue, when someone, in the guise of a newspaper seller entered our house.
Yudhishthir was shocked. He kept staring at him, for a few minutes, while the man did his job and left.
" Hello.. Mister I can't look away from people once I see them... Are you sure you're alright? " I said, waving a hand in front of his face in the room.
" I know him. " He said, saying no more.
" Yudhishthir? What? You know him? How? Why? " I rattled off, now annoyed. I did not want to deal with another time traveller. Please. One was enough. He still hadn't understood how to make a call on the phone.
" Look. If you do know him, we need to know if he is someone like you or someone like AJ. Do they just have a face, or is it from your time. " I told him, now that he had finally realised I was talking to him.
" Yes. We must. But first, we must talk to Krishn. I need to speak with him about something. Very important. " He said thoughtful.
" Okay. Should I know about it? " I asked tentatively when his sharp eyes looked at me in alarm.
" NO! I mean. No. It is something personal. I will talk to him alone." He said, hesitating.
" Alright man chill. I don't mind." I said and he looked at me like I had three heads growing out of me. Knowing Narayan and the fact that time travel exists. I wouldn't doubt it.
" How can I chill. I would need to stand in a very cold place for that. " He said bewildered.
I couldn't control my laughter then. Poor man. He needs to be caught up on some slang. " No no. No. To chill means to calm your mind. It's like when we are hyper our mind is hot, so to chill means to give it peace. " I told him, still laughing. Tears leaked out of the corners. I laughed after a long while.
What I did not know was that I was being watched by a certain someone who was sure what he needed to talk to Narayan about.

Waking up, I felt as if I had hit my head on a piece of rock. One minute I was going to pick my friend up from the centre, the next I crashed into the car. Did someone take me to a hospital?
"Mata! The mysterious man seems to have woken up! " Shouted a voice by my head. It was not hindi. Or english. Or any language that sounded modern. It was like sanskrit. Oh god! Where is Saag when you need her.
" Bhrata Bheem. He has hit his head. Speak softly. He will feel hurt. " Another voice said, now close to my arms. Arms? Oh yeah. I have arms. This means I managed to retain my upper torso. Yay? Oh and the second voice sounded like someone was being told off, or scolded, but with a sense of respect. Someone younger than him?
" Sahdev. Just because he's woken up doesn't mean he isn't an unknown man. Care for his safety later, first find out where he's from. " Said a third, now loud and clear. I still didn't understand what he meant, but hey, I was just happy to be alive.
As I did open my eyes, I saw four men in a room, with an old lady. Their mother perhaps? They looked at me with varying expressions, but one reigned over all. Confusion. They all wore beautiful clothes, ones that me and Saag would wear when we would do roleplays in history class. Even though she didn't study it, she was an active member of the history club. Speaking of. Where was she?
" I -I " I couldn't speak. That's beautiful. Absolutely delightful My body was fine but I couldn't speak. Why!
" Shant mahoday. You look like my eldest son . You deserve the same respect. " A new voice spoke. A females. Yet again I was unable to understand.
They were really good if they were part of a play. I mean. They had the sanskrit spot on. They even had the absolute best cast.
" Panipat. I am Arjun. What is your name? " He asked, yet again, the one near my arms. No that was not that one. He was the one who scolded the one near my arms. The point is, I caught two words. Arjun and Naam.
" Aj-ajat-Ajatshatru. " I managed out hoarsely, hoping they would understand.
" I am Nakul. " " Bheem. " " Sahdev. " " Kunti. "
Yeah. I was definitely dreaming. The people in mahabharat? I had either died, or my brain was playing games. I'd prefer the latter. Saag needs to know this.
" I can't. " I spoke before exhaution and shock took over my body again and I lay back down, the last thing I heard was, " Madhav! You're here? "

I know... I know it's short and I am sorry.... But yeah. I promise to compensate... As soon as I can.

Would you like both moving forward?
Anyways, share your opinions in the comments. Also, try and select parts specifically if you like something, it's quite intriguing to learn what my readers think.
