Chapter 59) Take Care Of Her
"I feel like it's time to get some rest."
"You're right. I have to attend SmackDown tomorrow and I'm going to miss you." I let out a slight sigh as she looked at me with worry in her eyes.
"You'll be okay, right?"
"Of course." I grinned.
A mere silence filled the room until she began to speak, "Roman?"
I turned my head and smiled at her, "Yeah?"
"You told me that I was a wrestler in the WWE like you and Dean. What was I like back then?"
"You're a fan favorite and everyone loves you."
"I really wish I had my memory back so I could remember."
"If I remember, there's something called the WWE Network where you can watch your matches from the past, Ash. I believe that could also help you remember how you were in the ring and our segments together."
"Really? I'm going to check it out soon."
I chuckled and hugged her close to me while taking my hair down as it cascaded over my shoulders.
I had to get some rest because tomorrow I needed to bring her to Dolph so he could make sure that nobody like Seth or Charlotte wouldn't be anywhere close towards her. I already started to miss her and closed my eyes.
Ashley
Roman went to sleep for the night and I couldn't rest my eyes; curious about what I was like back in the ring before I lost my memory, I pulled out my phone and went on the network, noticing that I seen a category and found my name. I pressed on it and seen tons of results with my past matches. I watched the one where I had seen Roman and I together in the ring after I had a victory and seen Roman coming out to celebrate with me.
I started to smile while watching our old segments together whilst hearing the fans cheering for the both of us once again.
I knew from the moment I woke up from my coma, I loved Roman Reigns. Seth lied to me back at the hospital and I felt like there was also something else about him that made me have nothing but pure hatred for him. After getting rid of my intrusive thoughts about him, I glanced over my shoulder to seeing Roman peacefully asleep while I was silently watching my old matches.
I was really incredible at wrestling, and I wish I could remember everything as I once did. I eventually felt extremely tired while I lied down next to Roman and heard him softly chuckle in his sleep.
"Goodnight." I kissed his cheek and fell asleep in his embrace.
Waking up at nine in the morning, I smelled something delicious lingering from across the room and realized that he wasn't laying at my bedside. I opened my eyes to seeing Roman preparing breakfast with the biggest smile on his face. His hair was tied into a low bun and he worn a black tank-top and some Jordan sweatpants.
"Good morning, did you sleep well?" He asked.
I smiled, "I slept amazingly for the first time in awhile. Did you?"
"I did. I wanted to cook you some breakfast. There was something I used to cook for you all the time and you fell in love with it when we first started dating back then." Roman chuckled.
"Really? What was it?" I asked out of curiosity.
He softly chuckled again.
"Panikeke."
"Panikeke?" I raised an eyebrow.
"It's Samoan food. It's like a small, roundish pancake."
"I wish I could remember what it tasted like." I frowned.
"Well, I happened to cook some. Would you want to try it again and see if it can help jog your memory?"
"Sure." I replied.
I waited for Roman to finish cooking breakfast as he handed me a plate with bacon, eggs and the Panikeke. I finally picked it up and tried it.
"This does taste familiar!"
"I'm so glad you're slowly remembering. That's a very good sign that your memory will be back in no time."
"Oh. Roman?"
"Yeah, Ash?"
"I watched some of my old matches and our segments while you fell asleep. I looked so happy back then, but we also had problems with Seth and the others."
His smile faded.
"I mean, we struggled through a lot, but we managed to overcome it. We would've if it wasn't for those bastards, Seth and Charlotte, putting you into that coma."
"I really wish I didn't lose my memory because I was so great when I was wrestling. Seeing you with me in the middle of the ring made me realize that I truly did love you, right from the beginning."
"You always have. We had a few falling outs, but we never let that stop us back then. I forgot to tell you that I have to bring you over to Dolph's room in a few hours before I have to head over to SmackDown with Ambrose. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but I know that Dolph will make sure nobody bothers you."
"I'll be fine, Roman. Enjoy yourself out there and don't worry about me."
Roman replied, "Thank you."
A few hours passed and I had to stay with Dolph since he wasn't booked for the show until the next week. I packed my things and walked alongside Roman.
"Hello?" Dolph said.
"Hey Dolph. I'm bringing Ashley here because I don't want her to be alone ever since her coma."
"I understand. I'll make sure that nobody messes with her."
"Thanks, man."
Roman looked over at me with a smile on his face while pressing his lips onto mine.
"Um?" Dolph said in confusion.
"What's up?"
"Are you and Ashley a couple again?"
"She's still trying to remember everything, but we aren't official yet."
"Well, I'll keep her safe until you're back."
After Roman had left, I sat down with Dolph on the couch and we watched some television together for awhile.
"I'm so happy that you're awake from your coma." Dolph says.
"I really hate that I'm having a hard time trying to remember everything. Roman and Dean told me that you also worried about me when I was in my coma. Is that true?"
"Yeah." He nodded, "I consider you like my little sister. I understand in the beginning when we first met that you were making your in-ring debut, you were quite bashful but look at you now, you're more outgoing and very talkative. Even after you woke up from your coma. And I know that someday, you'll remember everything again like before."
"Are you sure that I will remember everything someday?"
"Of course. I wouldn't lie to you."
I paused, "I have a question."
"Fire away, Ashley."
"How did we meet? You said I was making my in-ring debut when we first met but what was it like?" I asked.
"Well, you were walking into the arena with all of us but you always stayed in the back all alone. I realized how you were alone. I felt like you needed someone to talk to, and I asked you if you were new to the WWE. You said you just got called up from NXT to the main roster. While talking, you and I bumped into Miz at the time and he introduced himself to you, as did I. However, you had to leave because of your first match against Becky Lynch. I can understand that the first day on the job is nerve-wracking. Anyways, we started talking more when you and Roman became a couple and ever since then, I've considered you like my little sister."
"That's a great memory, Dolph. I apologize for being bashful in the beginning."
"No worries. I understood how you were feeling in the past. Once all of us aren't having to attend any shows, we will all help you with your memory."
"I appreciate this. I guess I have to call you my big brother, don't I?" I say, teasing him.
"I wouldn't mind." Dolph chuckled, "If you're uncomfortable with the term, I won't say anything."
"I'm not uncomfortable."
We began talking about the WWE for hours on end. I was beginning to miss Roman even though he was already gone for awhile. It was nice having someone like Dolph to talk to after everything that's happened and we watched the show together.
