Winter was here and Aurora, who was nearly 16 years old, walking in the woods at night when she comes across a baby deer.

"Hello" Aurora called out in a soft voice as the bay fawn approached her as she offers some food in her hand.

"That's it. There you go" 

Maleficent watched her from on top of a tree.

She wondered at the world about her, and at what lay beyond the fearsome wall of thorns.

Aurora comes across the wall of thorns by the edge of the Moors Maleficent and Y/n, in her human form, watch her from the distance. 

"Hm. Curious little beasty"

But she was not the only one who wished to get through.

Stephan and his soldier were trying to take down the wall of thorns when two soldiers saw Aurora standing by the wall.

"Shh. Look. Is that him? Is that Maleficent?" One of the soldiers said.

"I don't know"

They slowly made their way towards Aurora. Maleficent turned to Y/n.

"Bring them to me"

She nodded and Maleficent turned her into a wolf.

Aurora turned around showing her face to the soldiers.

"No, it's just a silly peasant girl"

Suddenly there was a loud howl causing the soldiers to be on edge. 

Maleficent took Y/n distraction to cast a spell making Aurora fall asleep and floats her body away for the wall of thorns.

Y/n, in her wolf form, comes out of hiding and growls at the group of soldiers. Then she began to chase them.

They were corned by Maleficent in the fog.

Maleficent uses his magic to raise the soldiers off the ground, swing them from side to side, shake off their weapons and then toss them aside to hit the trees and get them knocked out falling to the ground. When he was finished with them he notices a helmet.

"Hmm" He kneeled and touched it and his hands started to burn. He quickly took his hand off as Y/n came back and transformed her back to her human form again.

Y/n was on all four's she realized and quickly got up and dust her hands.

"How could you do that to me?" She asked

"Do what? Y/n you said anything I need" He stated.

"Yeah but not a dog, You could have turned me into any but no a dog was the best option" 

Maleficent scoffed.

"It has a wolf, not a dog, Y/n" He said as he turned and started to walk off.

"It's the same thing, Maleficent" She said before walking with him.

"They're dirty, vicious, and they hunt birds. Birds Maleficent birds. I'm a bird" She ranted on.

"Fine. Next time I'll turn you into a mealy worm" He threatened her, knowing full well he would never do her that.

"Well, I'll be a mealy worm, gladly. Anything but those filthy, stinking..."

Suddenly Maleficent turns Y/n into her bird form. She quickly flew away.

'That one way to shut me up Maleficent' Y/n thought.

Maleficent looked back at the unconscious floating Aurora.

"I wonder" He said out loud before taking her sleeping body deeper into the Moors.

Maleficent hides behind a tree as Aurora woke up. He watches her as her face lit up with amazement and wonder at the surrounded her until they felt Maleficent's presence and flew off in fear. Aurora turns towards the trees.

"I know you're there. Don't be afraid" Aurora said.

Maleficent chuckled.

"I'm not afraid" He told her.

"Then come out" She told him.

"Then you'll be afraid" He warned.

"No, I won't" She assured him.

"Hm" Maleficent then stepped out of his hiding place and faces her.

"I know who you are" Aurora said.

Maleficent arched his eyebrow.

"Do you?" He asked.

She nodded.

"You're my Fairy Godfather" She grinned.

"What?" He asked with a dumbfounded expression.

Suddenly cawing sounds from a crow, it sounds as though the crow was laughing were heard not too far away. The sound startled Aurora.

"What was that? It sounds vaguely familiar" She asked.

Maleficent sighed knowing who was making that noise.

The cawing laughter died down.

"I know your my Fairy Godfather because  You've been watching over me my whole life. I've always known you were close by" Aurora explained.

"How?" Maleficent asked curiously.

"Your shadow, it's been following me ever since I was small. Wherever I went, your shadow was always with me" She told him.

Y/n flies down and landed on a  branch next to Maleficent.

"I remember you. Pretty bird" Aurora laughed at the memory.

"This is Y/n" Maleficent introduced her in a soft voice as she bowed to Aurora.

He then turns her in her human form.

Aurora gasped.

"I remember you. You were always with my Fairy Godfather. Are you my Fairy Godmother?" She asked.

Y/n face turned red and she felt like she was going to have a heart attack from that question before Maleficent answered.

"Yes, yes she is" Maleficent answered.

Y/n, with a red face, simply nodded not trusting the right words would come out her mouth at the moment.

Aurora smiled in happiness as she looked around her.

"It's everything I imagined it would be. Oh, it's just so beautiful! I've always wanted to come..."

Then Maleficent uses her magic to put Aurora to sleep.

 Maleficent looked at Y/N at her.

"What?" He asked her.

"Well Fairy Godfather~" She said in a teasing tone.

"I think it was quite mean to give her, her dream and take it back so quickly"

"Well, Fairy Godmother~I decide how long she stays and when its time for her to leave" He told her in the same tone.

He walked towards her.

"Is something the matter Maleficent?" She asked confused why he was so close to her, not that she was complaining.

He placed his hand on her cheek causing her breathing to be caught in her throat.

"M- Maleficent?" She stuttered out, her cheeks aflame as she gathers to courage to put her hand on his cold hand.

(~But there's something about her and you don't know why but you're dying to try you wanna kiss the girl. Yes, you want her, look at her, you know you do. It's possible she wants you too. There's one way to ask her. It don't take a word, not a single word go on and kiss the girl~. I'm sorry this song matches this situation perfectly.) 

His green eyes stared in her e/c eyes.

"Don't do anything stupid will I'm gone" He stated.

Y/n heart shattered a bit at the statement.

'Play it off, Y/n' She told herself.

Y/n grinned.

"Of course, my lord. I mean who else will" 

He nodded and walked off.

When he turned his back Y/n grinned disappeared and was replaced with a sad smile.

'What a fool am I'

(Maleficent's POV) 

After I had finished put Aurora in her own bed. He was walking back to the Moors leaving me to think. 

"How could I leave her like that, so helpless, 'Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone'.  What was that?!" I shouted, my anger boiling.

I  closed my eyes and started to take deep breaths in and out.

When I opened my eyes I saw Y/n standing right in front of me smiling.

"Y/n?" I asked a bit shock she's here.

I reached out for her but when I touched her cheek she burst in gold light, the lights were like fireflies moving away from the spot in front of me.

I slowly put my hand back to my side.

"I'm sorry Y/n but please just give me some time, wait till I have to courage to tell you how I really feel, my love"

I took a deep breath in before continuing walking back home.

Stephan sat in his chamber staring at Maleficent's wings which are kept in a glass cabinet.

"You mock me. I know what you're doing. I know exactly what you're doing"

Suddenly the door opened up and a servant stood by the doorway.

"Sire? Your presence has been requested by the Queen" He told Stephan.

"Leave me" He told the servant told him.

"Sire, she is not well. The nurses are fearful that she won't make it through the night"

"Shh. Can you not see we're having a conversation?"

The servant looks across the room, then back at Stephan, then shuts the door to the chamber. 

Stephan got up and walked over to the glass cabinet.

"When the curse fails, Maleficent will come for me. And on that day, I will be ready"

Maleficent sat with Aurora by the lake in the Moors as she watches the creatures fly around in awe.

"They're so beautiful" She said.

Maleficent and Y/n watched and smiled at Aurora as she starts having a mud fight with some of the creatures when one of them accidentally hits Maleficent in the face with some mud causing everyone to stop laughing but Y/n started to laugh at him.

Maleficent then used his magic to cover her whole face in mud making everyone laugh and he smile.

Later that night Maleficent puts Aurora to sleep.

"Y/n"  Maleficent called as he searched for her with Aurora's floating body.

Y/n who was by the river was with some fairies surrounding her. Sensing his present the water fairies left.

Y/n turned around.

"Oh Maleficent, what can I help you with?" She asked.

Maleficent stared at her a light blush on his face, luckily the night hide that. The fairies had done over her hair making her beauty not that she wasn't beauty before.

(Don't worry this isn't going to be forever just for this chapter) 

"I... You look beautiful" He told her.

Y/n blushed and looked away form.

'Damnit Y/! You've fallen for him again or did I even stop falling for him?'

"Um, thank you Maleficent"

There was a bit of silence before Maleficent cleared his throat.

"I wanted to tell you I want to tell you I'm going to revoke the cure and I want to hear your opinion" He told her.

She looked at him surprised that he wanted her opinion that caught her off guard.

"Well, whatever makes you happy, I'll stand by your side with your decision. At the end it's up to you, Maleficent" She told him honestly.

"Hm. Thank you, Y/n" 

"Of course"

With that Maleficent leaves.

(3rd POV)

He puts Aurora to in her bed at the cottage and watched her.

"I revoke the curse. Let it be no more" He said quietly.

"I revoke the curse. Let it be no more" He is magic became more powerful but not enough.

"I revoke my curse! Let it be no more! I revoke my curse! Let it be no more! Let it be no more!"

 Maleficent tried his best but in the end, he fails to revoke the curse and heard a voice whispering

"This curse will last till the end of time. No power on Earth can change it"

Another night came and Maleficent is in the Moors again walking with Aurora. 

"Do all the Fair People have wings?" Aurora asked.

"Most do" Maleficent told her.

"Then why don't you? All the other fairies fly.

" I had wings once, they were stolen from me. That's all I wish to say about it"

For some reason, Aurora reminder him of Y/n.

They both loved to talk.

"What colour were they? Were they big?" Aurora asked curiously.

And they both were filled with curiosity. He also had the tolerance for both of them and trust them obviously he would trust Y/n more than anyone, she beind by his side in his darkest hours.

 Maleficent stopped and sighed.

"So big they dragged behind me when I walked. And they were strong. They could carry me above the clouds and into the headwinds. And they never faltered, not even once. I could trust them"

Aurora touched his hand in comfort but Maleficent turns and started to walk off.
