At the breakfast everyone was very anxious; they wanted to know whether Sahaan and her mother wanted to go or not, as Hammad and his family were going back to Canada tomorrow morning.

"Sahaan, after breakfast pack your bags we're leaving tomorrow." Saira tells her daughter, everyone stills hearing her words.

Ahmed drops his fork, devastated at the mere thought of Sahaan going away.

"Ruk kyu gaye? Sab nashta kariye." Dadi tells everyone and continues with her breakfast.

(Why did you all stop? Carry on with your breakfast.)

Half-heartedly everyone continued their breakfast except Isra who was happy that her bestie was gonna come with her.

Ahmed goes to his dadi's room, upon entering his Dadi smiles as if she was expecting him.

"Dadi! Maine bohot koshish ki dadi. Aap...aap rok lena usey please." Ahmed falls at his Dadi's feet, tears welling up in his eyes.

(I tried a lot..You...you try to stop her please.)

Dadi smiles at his innocence.

"Arey pagal ladke! Thoda waqt de usey, waise bhi wo tere nikkah me hain hi. Let her go Ahmed she needs change from all this, don't force which will only make her repulsed by your actions." She tells him softly, caressing his hair.

(You idiot boy! give her some time and don't worry she is already nikkafied to you.)

"But Dadi, I can't imagine her away from me. I won't be able to bear the distance between us." Ahmed whispers looking up at her.

"Think of it as your test, my son. Surely Allah loves his servant who is patient and trusts him enough, have faith in him he will surely bring your Sahaan back." She tells him who nods at her.

"But Dadi please promise me one thing! Once she comes back ruqsati will happen as soon as possible. Please convince her for me. You've agreed to every wish of Sahaan, please agree to mine." Ahmed murmurs to Dadi who smiles at him and nods.

Later in the evening Sahaan is busy packing her stuff with Isra continuously blabbering when all of a sudden Ahmed barges in, breathing heavily. Isra stops talking and keeps looking at them, sensing the heavy tension between both of them she leaves the room.

"So you're finally going?" Ahmed asks her who looks down and continues packing.

Ahmed holds her hand in his tight grip, vexed at her lack of attention. The clothes drop from her hand but still she doesn't reply to him. This fuels his anger more.

"Mai kuch puch raha hun tumse Sahaan, jawab do." Ahmed whispers in a low tone as not to grab the attention of everyone.

(I'm asking you something Sahaan, reply to me.)

"Aap jo apni maa ke liye kar rahe the, mai bhi wahi kar rahi hu. my mother needs a break from tayi ammi's torture." Sahaan bitterly tells him and moves out of his grip.

(What you were doing for your mother, I'm doing the same.)

"Sahaan! Ammi ne maafi toh maangi hai na aur tum toh hamare jaisi nahi ho, tumhara dil bohot bada hai aisa mat karo khuda ka waasta tumhe." Ahmed pleads who pays no heed to him.

(Sahaan! mama has asked for forgiveness right? And you're not like us, you are kind hearted, don't do this for Allah's sake.)

"Bas kardein! Aapko khuda ka waasta aur kitna torture karenge mujhe? Mat karein aisa. I need to go for my mothers well being." Sahaan yells at him who stumbles back not expecting her outburst.

(Stop it! For Allah's sake how much will you torture me more? Don't do this.I need to go for my mothers well being.)

"So you think that if you stay here I will torture you more? You think so low of me? Yes,I agree. I made mistakes in the past and did I not repent them? Did you not forgive my mother saying if one is repenting then who is she to not forgive them? Fine! Do whatever you want but remember one thing, jab tum dobara iss ghar me aaogi toh tumhare baap ka ghar samjh ke mat aana tumhara sasural samjh kar aana, kyuki jaa toh tum apni marzi se rahi ho lekin jab aaogi toh ruqsati meri marzi se hogi, yaad rakhna." Saying this, he kisses her forehead and leaves the room in a fit of pique.

(When you come back to this house, don't come thinking this is your father's house. Rather think you're coming back to your in-laws, because now you're doing whatever you want but when you will come back ruqsati will happen according to my wish. Remember this.)

Sahaan stands there, dumbfounded at his words. Sighing as she continues her packing.

Hammad was coming out of his parents room after having a talk with them when he noticed Ahmed standing there outside the door, hands in his pocket leaning on the wall.

He straightens up seeing Hammad coming out of the room.

"You need something?" Hammad asks him not so politely who looks down in nervousness.

"I...I want to talk to you, can we go to the lawn?" Ahmed asks him who reluctantly nods his head.

Settling down at the bench, both of them gazed at the sky, which was looking like a blanket of mixed dark blues, with small shiny dots in them representing stars. Covering them but instead of providing warmth like a blanket should, it provided them with a cold gushing air.

The strain in their relationship looked like the sky, never ending and dark. The awkwardness which was never present in between them was eating up Ahmed who was the cause of it.

Clearing his throat to gain Hammad's attention. He turns towards him.

"I don't have any words to say to you Hammad, I...I'm sorry. I know what I did was wrong. I'm also a brother of a sister, I should've known that karma exists and doesn't leave a chance to bite. I'm sorry for everything, especially for misbehaving with your sister who is my queen now, but I promise from now on you won't get any complaints from my side. I will do my best to keep her happy. I'm sorry for straining our relationship." Tears welled up in his eyes telling all this to Hammad who's eyes softened seeing his elder brother who appears rough and ruthless was crying in front of him.

He gets up and takes Ahmed in a tight hug, who gets startled not expecting the hug, upon realizing he hugs him back with the equal intensity.

"I missed you bhai! and sorry for punching you that day." Hammad whispers to him and breaks the hug.

"I deserved it! Look, your punches worked and I'm back to my senses. I've hurt so many people and I can't even do anything other than saying sorry to everyone." Ahmed tells him looking down.

"Cheer up brother, everyone commits mistakes and you are repenting then who am I to not forgive you?" Hammad tells him shrugging his shoulders.

Ahmed laughs hearing his words.

"Your sister said the same words to my mother, but not me." He sadly smiles.

"It's okay bhai! have patience she'll surely come around." Saying this he gets up but turns around hearing Ahmed's words.

"take care of Sahaan...for me..Hammad! Please." Ahmed softly tells him who smiles at him and nods his head.

They both continue talking, catching up on the talks they missed when they drifted. Not noticing the time they were still outside when Amirah comes there and calls them for dinner.

They both get following her while Ahmed just shakes his head at Hammad who was continuously eyeing Amirah. Everyone was quietly eating their dinner when Taya abbu broke the silence.

"Everyone please gather in the hall after dinner. There is an important announcement we need to make asap as tomorrow everyone is leaving." Taya abbu tells everyone who nods at him.

After dinner everyone was seated in the hall, the youngsters were very nervous as they were never included in these elders' talks but now when everyone was called here they were slightly scared as to what happened.

Hammad was very relaxed, completely opposite to his cousins who were biting their nails in worry. Isra narrowed her eyes at him who was calmly sitting on the sofa. She was about to say something but stopped when Taya abbu approached everyone.

"Haan bhai! Asal baat ye hai ki hum sab bado ne faisla kiya hai ki." He stops in between, looking at his children who were anxiously looking at him, he laughs at their expressions.

(Okay! The thing is, we elders decided to.)

"Taya jaan bas bhi kardein ab kitna tadpayenge? Burst the bubble now!" Isra whines at her Taya, not able to handle the suspense. He smiles at his beloved daughter.

(Stop it uncle, how much will you make us wait?)

"We've fixed Amirah's alliance with Hammad." He drops the bombs making everyone go silent. They could legit hear the tick tock of the clock.

And suddenly all of them start yelling and hooting in happiness except one, who looks at Amirah who was smiling shyly sneaking glances at Hammad who shamelessly grinning at her. Azra, angry at all of this, storms out of there without anyone noticing her.

The elders smile at their children's excitement, and laugh seeing Amirah's red face due to Isra's constant teasing by calling her bhabi.

Sahaan happily brings out the sweets, feeding the groom and the bride along with their parents.

"So we have decided to do a small engagement ceremony now and will do the nikkah and ruqsati together after one year." Amirah's father tells them who excitedly nods their head at him except Hammad who was sulking hearing one year.

"Awww. My poor brother! What's wrong? Is one year less? Should we make it two? If not three?" Isra teasingly asks her brother who glares at her.

Everyone laughed at their bickering and Hammad's sulking face.

"Phuppa, It will be better if we do it in 6 to 8 months. We shouldn't delay such happiness." Sahaan tells her uncle, understanding Hammad's plight.

"She is right, we shouldn't delay the auspicious day. We will think about it and will fix the date." Taya abbu tells them and all the elders retire to their rooms.

"Dekha! Aisi hoti hain behne, tum jaisi karam jali nahi." Hammad tells Isra, slapping her head who frowns at him.

(See! This is how sisters are supposed to be. Not like you, a complete witch!))

They both start their fight scratching and punching each other and stop upon the intervention of Sahaan.

Huffing loudly Isra stomps to her room, all of them laugh at her dramatic acts and leave to their respective rooms.

holaaaaa!! ASSALAMUALAIKUM BEHNO AUR UNKE BHAIYO;).....

Sorry for the delay in updating, I lost access to my pc but now got it back. Alhamdulillah.

For Amirah and Hammad's story it will take time because I've to think about the plot as they will be married already and I have no idea what to write about them but I want to write about them.

The next chapter will probably be the last one!
