RIVER

           "hey kid" Sevika greeted making River look up, once again, River was sat at the furthest table to the left. River spent a lot of her time there. She'd been on a few more jobs and mostly hung out with Powder or was at the arcade with everyone but she needed something new to do.

"can you help teach me to fight?" River blurted out as she watched Sevika sit down in front of her with a smirk "why? Vi not up to the job anymore?" River rolled her eyes at her "no. Vi is a really good fighter and teacher or whatever but I won't get better if i'm only fighting one person" River explained.

"run around the lanes then, i'm sure you'll have plenty of people to fight then" Sevika cocked her head "yeah i've done that but for some reason I only attract short skinny men that get taken down by one punch" River rolled her eyes making Sevika chuckle "come with me then" Sevika told her before walking out the last drop, River quickly following after her.

Sevika and River were now in a random old building, River assumed she only chose it so they could be alone. Sevika stood in front of River "all right kid, punch me" Sevika smirked. River looked at her confused "wha ?" River went to question before deciding to just go with it and threw a punch to Sevika's face.

Sevika of course dodged her punch and punched Rivers stomach, taking the breath out of her. River tried ignoring it and tried standing straight but she still was out of breath "that hurt like a bitch"

Sevika laughed "never throw the first punch" Sevika firmly said "I knew that already but you told me to punch you!" River defended herself "again" Sevika demanded. This time, Sevika decided to throw the first punch, River ducked from her fist and sent three harsh jabs to Sevikas side.

Sevika punched River in the ribs, River didn't stop though, she punched Sevika directly in the nose which River was surprised she was able to do. Sevika went to punch River in the jaw with one hand, River ducked but was met with Sevika's fist flying upwards and hitting River in the jaw.

The two continued to fight, they would stop for a moment to catch their breath and Sevika would give River a tip on what to do and what not to do.

River threw a punch with her full for but Sevika just barely dodged it, Rivers fist skimming Sevika's cheek and landed directly onto the concrete. River felt instant pain when her fist hit the wall. She could hear her knuckles crack u der the pressure making River instantly draw her hand back and clutch it in pain.

"fuck!" The yelled out in pain, she sat on the floor and winced. She tried her best to keep her tears at bay but her hand was shooting with pain and was quickly turning purple and started to swell. Sevika's eyes widened and she quickly dropped to her knees beside the girl "shit" Sevika cursed to herself.

Sevika gently grabbed River's wrist and examined her hand "looks like this two are broken" Sevika pointed to her pinky and ring finger knuckles that were extremely puffy. She gently dropped River's hand "you alright kid?" Sevika placed her hand on the twelve years olds shoulder.

"yep! I feel so great!" River sarcastically said "what do you think" River then dead panned. Sevika sighed and shook her head "all right" she rolled her eyes "sorry kid" Sevika genuinely said before helping River up.

As the two walked back to the last drop, Sevika spared the girl worried glances. Once they were inside Sevika turned to her "put ice on it as much as you can and if you can find any bandages wrap your hand up real good" Sevika told her, River nodded her head in understanding "alrighty. I will get pay back when my hands fine" River gave her a pointed look.

Sevika laughed "i'm counting on it" she winked and ruffled Rivers hair before leaving. River went straight to the basement and walked over to the fridge. She grabbed an old rag and put some ice in it before walking over to the couch and held the ice to her knuckles "what happened to you" Mylo asked.

"Nothing" River replied dryly. Vi and Powder walked out "what happened to your hand" Vi asked her with a confused look, River groaned "Sevika was teaching me stuff and I ended up punching a wall." River vaguely explained to everyone knowing they wouldn't stop pestering her until she just told them what happened.

"Sevika?" Vi's face scrunched up "yes Violet, Sevika" River purposely used her full name knowing it annoyed her "alright then. You're gonna end up with a lot more injuries if you start having lessons with her" Vi snarked causing River to roll her eyes.

River was going to speak but got distracted when Powder took the ice away and started wrapping River's hand "my hands fine Powder, save that for when we actually need it" River took her hand away. Powder narrowed her eyes at River and held up her hand by her wrist "tell that to your giant, purple hand" River shut her mouth and let Powder wrap it.

"so that's where that's been" Vi thought out loud "Rivera actually needs it, you just use it cause you think it makes you look cool" Powder said to her older sister making River snicker "uh-" Vi stutters, not knowing how to reply to her sisters true statement.

"Rivera?" Mylo repeats "that's your name?" Mylo started laughing "Powderr" River whined and threw her head back on the couch, Powders eyes widened "i'm sorry! it just came out" Powder defended herself  "I don't know why your laughing so much Mylo, when if I recall. Your middle name is Jefferson" Vi smirked making Mylo's eyes widen.

"You swore you wouldn't tell!" "uhh, no actually, you told me not to tell anyone, but I just walked away" Vi told him with a smirk "plus as soon as I found out I instantly told Powder and Claggor" Vi shrugged. Mylo groaned loudly "what's wrong Jefferson?" River teased him which earnt a pillow being thrown at her head but it instead missed her by a long shot.
River raised a brow at him with a smirk on her face.

"that was pathetic"

I don't really like this chapter tbh, but anyways. I think i'm going to go into the show next chapter? But I hope you enjoyed a little bit of River and Sevika :)
Also, I kind of didn't want
to make Mylo a complete fuckhead in this, like I want him to have his good moments where you can see a sibling dynamic with the others and stuff.
