โš ๏ธ Warning slight sexual assault

"Without her," Hanabi began, her voice slightly cracking. Though she attempted to hide, Shanks and other members of his crew caught on. She clenched her katana at her side, holding it like a life line. "We wouldn't be where we are now."

Shanks shifted his gaze to Yue, who wore a solemn smile at her friend's words. Observing their attire, it wasn't anything he hasn't seen before. Yet, something he hasn't entirely seen before during their first meeting.

An attire of a blend of elegance and modesty. Yue's clothing consisted a long sleeved dressed. Painted in white, sleeves had a slight ruffle on the wristย  the coller halting at the neck. Mid collar, near the breast, her dress was joined by a string on both sides. It was a green turquoise hue embroidered flowers in a light tone of red with strings of purple. Paired with a black skirt and a slight low-heeled shoes. It contrasted well with her pale skin, hazel eyes and raven hair that was styled into a simple braid.

Hanabi, however, was completely different. As dark as the night, her outfit was fit for battle or maybe an assassination expect for the purple shoulder and knee pads. She had dark pants with black long sleeves and black shoes. The scowl on her face proved no friendliness, though she wasn't particularly nice to him (what a meanie), the scar in the corner of her lips made her seem intimidating.

"Where did you guys say you were from?" Shanks asked, eyes peering at them with interest. He watched the women slight glance at each other for a moment.

Though hesitant, while fiddling with her fingers nervously Yue responded. Her words coming out slightly muffled, but Shanks was able to pick it up. "Jinovia."

Fingers on his chin, Shanks thought for a moment. His mind trying to think of a time he visited such a place.

Then it clicked, his memory went as far back with his captain, Gold Roger. They had visited the country of Jinovia, an empire ruled by an emperor. Their culture rich in every single aspect possible. Not only that they had great food there as well.

Oh and the alcohol, don't get him started!

"I remember those days," Shanks reminisced, a fond smile on his handsome features. Then, he laughed as a thought came to him, "Man, they had the best parties!"

"Hey, Cap!" Yasopp smirked, the lid of bottle of alcohol on his lips. "Maybe we should stop while we are add it."

"I bet there are plenty of beautiful women over there too." Benn added, his lips in a grin. Everyone else laughed and agreed with his statement. All were excited to one day visit the country.

"NO!"

They all jumped at Yue's outburst. All eyes went on her, as she quickly covered her mouth with her hands, shocked herself from it. Her eyes were wide as saucers as she looked to the floorboards attempting to calm down.

None missed the tremble of her form.

Noticing this, with a hand on Yue's shoulder , Shanks gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, we were just playing around." He grinned, "I met the king back then and were still friends-"

"You don't understand," Yue whispered, cutting him off. She did not meet his gaze, yet he could tell her tone held fear in it. She gulped, squeezing her hands together, "You don't-"

All eyes fell on Hanabi as she stood up a deep frown on her face. She clenched her blade at her side as she gritted her teeth, "We could take them."

Shanks lifted a brow, curious on who she was referring to. The rest of the crew were completely left in confusion at the scene.

Yue came to her friend's side squeezing her arm, her expression filled with worry. With firmness in her voice, she focused her friend's attention to her, "Have you lost your mind, Hanabi?!"

"What!" Her friend responded, though she towered her more petite Yue, there held no malice in her voice. It only matched her friend's tone, "Should we wait for someone to come to our rescue?!"

"What we should do is preserve our lives! Like Noble Consort- Miss Aurora said!" Yue's gaze had a slight fire to them.

Shanks didn't miss the little slip up or would others would call a correction Yue had made.

Hanabi only increased the furnace ten fold. "And leave the others to die!" She gripped her sheath harder her fist turning white, "We should have taken some of them with us if we were told to only live our lives in peace!"

Though she seemed calm and harmless. Yue's eyes matched her friend's intensity. Her tone as sharp as a blade. "You know why we couldn't do that!"

The crew murmured to one another. Many confused by the heated conversation taking place in front of them while others kept quiet and watched the scene unfold. Benn took a small glance to their captain who watched them silently. The red head completely immersed in their conversation.

The first mate didn't miss the glint of interest in his eyes; for sure, his captain's wheels were turning attempting to piece together their guests words.

What seemed to catch everyone off guard was Hanabi's next words.

"I should have sent his head flying down the palace walls!"

The crew's eyes widened, many jaws dropped. It was clear that whoever this person was, Hanabi must have a deep hatred for them.

Yue gasped, grabbing her friend by her collar. "Hanabi, stop!"

Her next sentence came out like a muffled growl. Shanks narrowed his eyes at her, Hanabi's tone held nothing, but animosity. The flame in her eyes rivalled the hottest fire known to man. Yet, it held a tinge of despair.

"It's because of him our mistress is the way she is! I should have killed him for what he did to her!"

Are they talking about this person they're looking for? Shanks asked himself. He noticed how often they refer to their friend as their mistress as if they weren't in equal standing to her. Many of the other crew members, especially the closest members to the captain, paid close attention. Was their mistress someone of high social ranking?

Many thought she was most likely a princess or maybe at least a noble since they kept calling her by some kind of title.

Either way, the crew wanted to meet this friend of theirs even more.

The crew watched as Yue's hands trembled though the sky was bright, the light of day high up and bright. Her bangs shadowed her eyes, away from their view. Suddenly, Shanks's eyes travelled to the wooden pavement of the floorboards, little drops of water little by little.

The red head shifted his gaze back on Yue, he realized the tears flowing like a river. Her cheeks became red, while she slowly released her friend's collar.

"You know how much he means to her."

Hanabi pursed her lips. She shut her eyes tightly, her hands becoming white from gripping her katana so hard. "I know," her tone was like the passing winds, gentle, but slow.

A sad smile etched on her features. She placed a hand on Hanabi's back, rubbing her back in a circular motion. "You know he's her everything."

Hanabi bit her lower-lip, "I know..."

Yue casted her sights of the light of the sky. The more Shanks watched this conversation unfold, the more he became intrigued about them. "Even if we did fought him..."

With furrowed brows, Yue gripped her hands on her dress, "we wouldn't stand a chance." Hanabi whipped her head elsewhere to avoid gazing at her friend's solemn expression. "And it would make the mistress extremely sad."

Hanabi swallowed, her words coming out muffled almost like a gentle whisper. "I know."

Shanks furrowed his brows, something twisted in his gut watching his new friends become so sorrowful. The previous joyful party became as bleak as a grey cloud. It was obvious the rest of the crew shared the same sentiment.

No one messed with one of their own, and this included them.

Yue turned to the crew, a strained smile on her face, seeming forced. "I'm really sorry about my outburst earlier-"

"Who is he?" Shanks asked, cutting her off curious gleam in his gaze. Whoever this person was, they must be someone powerful if they were willing to leave their home.

Hanabi returned to her usual scowl, "It doesn't concern you."

Yue frowned, "Hanabi," she whispered. She tugged at her friend's sleeve.

The red head still kept his kind smile on his face. "My crew and I can help you." He could tell the two women were reluctant to even accept the offer.

Observing their faces, he noticed Yue's face slightly lit up, however, the frown on Hanabi's face indicated that she wanted no part of their help.

Though he kept a smile on his face, something twisted in Shanks gut. That something was amiss, something was off.

"You can drop us off on the next island," Hanabi told him, her resolve unmoving. The atmosphere slowly dimmed, the air refreshed as her side bangs flowed with the passing winds. "I'm going to bed."

As Hanabi turned away from them, Yue bowed. As she rose a sad smile was etched on her features. "I'm sorry about her, she's just...a bit intense."

Observing each of their faces, none seemed to be offended. Despite the heavy atmosphere e moments ago, many of the crew members were as jolly as ever. Shanks gave her a reassurance with a smile, "It's not a problem, I was asking too much."

The red head watched as an aura of sadness took over her. Yue furrowed her brows as her lips trembled slightly as if she attempted to hold back tears.

"I'm really sorry," she began, her voice cracking at very word. "It's not that we don't want your help, it's just..."

Shanks nor the crew were expecting her next words.

"It's just our mistress wouldn't allow it."

Shanks sighed at the whole ordeal. He tried to bring it up with Yue once more. However, no matter how many times he did, she would always attempt to change the subject. Hanabi was no different; the woman gave him the silent treatment and refused to talk about it.

And...With her sword in hand, she chased him around the ship everytime he did, so she was a no go.

He pouted, what a moody woman she was.

His mind never ceased thinking about what happened a few days ago. The discussion about their home turned into a full blown argument between the woman. It was obvious to him their country wasn't a home to them anymore.

He leaned his over the rails. His chin on his palm as he looked over the horizon. He wondered who the person that Hanabi wanted to kill so badly. She had mentioned how this guy was the reason her mistress was the way she was.

Yet he was also important to his mistress.

He frowned slightly as many questions went through his mind.

Why were they so far away from home?

Why did they leave their country?

For what reason were they searching for their mistress?

But most importantly, why didn't they want help?

As his mind drifted further, his brown eyes gazed blankly at the seas. As always it was empty, its hue remained unchanging.

"We will be arriving to the next island shortly."

He was greeted by his first mate, standing right behind him. Just by the looks of things, Benn could already tell the wheels were turning in his captain's head.

"If you were in a tight spot," Shanks began, his eyes remained on the horizon of endless seas. "Would you accept help when it's offered?"

Benn shifted his gaze to the seas. It was the same as it always was. Salty and blue every passing days during their travels. Soon, his eyes shifted back to his captain while pondering on his question.

"No," was all Benn had to say.

Shanks raised a brow in question. Though it was no surprise to him since he knew his first mate very well. His voice held a tinge of intrigue at his answer, "No?" Benn nodded while he folded his arms, gazing back to the seas.

Then Benn responded, "I would resolve my problems on my own. Getting people involved will only make it bigger than it already is." Shanks hummed in understanding, yet it still didn't simmer the feeling in his stomach.

The breeze elapsing through his red hair. "Even if the help could lighten the load?"

This made him pause for a moment. Benn was aware of the meaning behind his captain's words. It was clear that he wanted to help them, no, Shanks was ready to do so if they had just asked. Their crew was powerful, yet their guest were in strong doubt.

Not in doubt of their abilities, but more so if their mistress would agree to it. Throughout their conversation, Hanabi and Yue kept referring to their mistress and another person that was linked to her.

As if their mistress was bonded deeply with that person.

Just like his captain, a glimmer of curiosity settled within him. What was their mistress like exactly?

And why wouldn't she accept help if it came? It would be the most logical thing to do if someone would be trapped and unable to get out of trouble.

To sore out his thoughts, with a click as he opened the match, he lit his cigarette. A dust of grey clouds left his lips as he exhaled. "I don't think it's about just not wanting the help. You've heard what they said before haven't you."

Shanks remained quiet pondering on his friend's words. His mind going back to days ago.

"He's her everything"

Yue's words rang in his head.

"It would make the mistress sad."

"They're afraid of the outcome." Benn uttered, the cigar between his teeth, the air as smokey as a chimney. "Especially the impact it will have on this mistress of theirs. Also, it seems to have to do with this "him" they speak of."

Shanks nodded slowly at his friend's every word. He hummed as he kept his gaze forward. The sun high in the skies. He understood that they were still strangers, they had only been with their guest for about three months.

Yet even if it were to be months, days or even a few hours spend with them, he still wouldn't have minded landing them a hand when needed. The women were obviously were in a tight spot and needed help. Whatever or whoever they were facing sounded like an opponent they couldn't face alone.

But without their mistress' approval...

In an instant, a lightbulb went on in his head. An idea slipping in his mind as his lips lifted into a goofy smile. Seeing this, Benn smirked as his cigar lifted smoke into the atmosphere.

His first mate already knew wheels were turning in the red head's mind.

Soon, an island came into view. Along with a new adventure awaiting them.

...

"Jiji, do you want to play a game with us?"

Slumped on the deck like a star fish, Ryuji tiredly looked up to the beaming child. A happy, but tired sigh left his lips as the kid's shadowed the sun from his vision. Lifting his head a bit, his tired gaze met her's, "What game?"

Aisha's eyes twinkled in excitement, "Hide and seek!"

Ryuji let out a puff of air. Exhaustion beginning to crawl on him. When he was offered a ride to the next island, he was grateful that he didn't have to make the next trip using his devil fruit. Often using it would result in him becoming exhausted from energy, as it would take a lot of power to do what he had to do.

The flight flight fruit may not sound versatile, but it still surprised him nonetheless. Allowing him to flight at a high with speed.

And unfortunately, he had to use it on a trip that was supposed to have taken days to only 24 hours.

His partner, AKA Rue, made them travel so quickly for who knew what the reason was. Despite that she never explained why she was in a hurry.

And...she threatened to cut some of his pay, so...She didn't have much convincing to do.

He pouted at the whole situation. Now, he was too tired to move. Rue gave the man unamused look, "I'll pay for your food."

He stood erect; Rue almost scoffed not surprised that food would get him going.

After docking the boat, Aisha slipped away, walking ahead while Rue stood and watched her leave. Ryuji lifted a brow in question, "Are you sure it's ok to let her leave like that?"

All Rue did was smile, "Didn't you hear? We're playing a game." After a few seconds passed, she began to follow her, Ryuji following closely behind.

He rested his head behind his hands. "Don't you think it might be a bit dangerous if you let her go alone."

Rue hummed in response, she kept a close eye on her daughter. "Actually it's safer this way, every time I would arrive on an island, we would do this. If people were to see a mother and daughter vulnerable and alone walking in the streets, tell me what do you think would happen?"

Ryuji didn't need to think long and hard for an answer to her question. If Rue had her daughter with her, she would be a walking target for trafficking.

Not like she wasn't one already on her own.

As they roamed the streets of the island. Ryuji noticed the unique decorations. Lanterns intertwined at the top of numerous buildings and homes. Many citizens preparing to what it seemed to be a festival. Many shops opened up, people selling goods and With her daughter distance away from her skipping away happily. Aisha hid her fits of giggles in her hands as she went around the crowd.

Ryuji following closely at her side, but discreetly to make it seem as if they were going the same direction. Looking around, his eyes landed on many onlookers who gaze at the silver haired woman. Many faces had as red as the blood in their veins at the beautiful woman passing by.

He watched as many stepped aside to admire her further. Many whispered on the woman's appearance.

"I've never seen such pretty eyes." One said gaping at her.

"She has such unique hair and her skin is..."

"It looks like gold shimmering in her when the sun shines on it."

Ryuji whistled he couldn't blame them for gawking like squealing pigs at her. Rue was without a doubt a beautiful woman.

A sudden ill will hit his sense, his emerald eyes shifted slightly to the right. A group of man stuttered slowly behind them. Waiting for a moment, Ryuji observed as the group split one following straight after Rue and the other straight after the skipping child ahead.

Eyes narrowed like a hawk, his tone alert and ready. "Malady."

Rue didn't even need to turn around to understand what he met. Her senses sharper than any blade known to men. "Go, handle them as you wish."

Without another word, Ryuji followed after the assailants. Rue knew he understood what she met.

These people were without a doubt going to harm her daughter. They were going to harm a child.

Therefore, an early grave they shall encounter.

Rue frowned as annoyance bubbled in her stomach. Of course, this would happen again. Every time, they were to visit the island, these types of people would always show up and not for good reasons. It's either they tried to go after her or her daughter. Hell or both of them.

All scum following her around for the wrong reasons.

Every. Single. Time.

It was tiring.

She held back a growl at the back of her throat. Her blue's eyes glowed, her crystal's light began to shine brighter. She squeezed it within her hand, trying to calm the pulsating anger within her.

Think, don't feel. She kept repeating to herself. She already had enough trouble and transformation in the middle of the street would be a huge problem. She had to look for the nearest alley, where her and the assailants could be alone.

She bowed her head, her eyes on her feet. Her feet that collected the dirt under them. She stared at the ground to distract her mind. So deep within herself, she didn't notice a person heading for her. They bumped shoulders harshly, she muttered a quick apology and left without another word.

Unbeknownst to Rue, this person recognized her at first glance.

Hanabi trembled, watching as the silver haired woman strolled away. Her pupils slightly dilated as her eyes shifted to a group of men following her trail.

The world stopped spinning, everything becoming mute.

Silver-hair...her mistress has silver hair.

"Hanabi," Shanks called after her, noticing she stopped walking, "What's wrong?" Yue and Benn did the same curious at her trembling form. Taking her by the shoulders, Yue shook her friend ,attempting to gain her.Despite Yue's attempts, Hanabi remained fixed in place, her gaze unwavering.

Her brown eyes travelled ,following the silver-haired woman's steps, her every move. However, her friend's delicate fingers wrapped around her wrist stopping her in her tracks.

"Hanabi," Yue whispered, her hazel'eyes etched with worry, "you're scaring me."

Not a sound came out of her. Still Hanabi stayed in place. Her thoughts going a mile a minute. She couldn't be mistaken, it had to be her, it must be her. Any reasonable person would have told her it could be anyone with silver hair.

And maybe they would be right, but her gut kept screaming at her that it was her.

That it was her mistress.

A surge of happiness went to her bones at the possibility of a reunion with her life-saver. It had been years since she left the island, over almost seven years they had been separated. After months of searching, she had a chance to finally reunite with her mistress.

Finally...Just finally.

Hanabi felt her eyes burn, tears began to blur her vision. She turned to Yue, taking her hands in hers.

Slow, slurred words, emerged like a breeze. "It's her," Hanabi squeezed Yue's hands. "I know it's her this time."

Before she could reply, Hanabi sprinted into the crowd, attempting to catch up with her. Yue tried calling after her, but Hanabi disappeared into the field of people.

"I'll go after her, we'll meet up on the ship,"Shanks told them, going after Hanabi in flash. And just like that Benn and Yue were left with in confusion at what transpired.

Meanwhile, deep in an alley, Rue was surrounded by thee assailants. Her gaze skimmed their faces, her stomach twisted in disgust at the sight of it. Their intentions as clear as the skies above. Their eyes roamed her body like a predator ready to pounce on their prey.

Prepared to salvage their catch.

They had never feast their eyes on such a rare gem, a beauty with such unique features. Every curve in the right place, her physique womanly and her face as delicate as a flower.

They definitely hit the jackpot.

"Hey boss," one of them said their lingering on her assests, licking his lips at the sight. "What do you say that we play with the merchandise before we sell it off?"

Many of the group agreed, especially their boss who nodded to them in approval.

Rue guessed they were slave traders since they were planning on capturing her to sell her off. I guess trying to get information out of them would be useless.

There was no need to waste any time with them. She needed to stay in control, not allowing a single mishap with her emotion.

She needed to stay calm.

Rue put on her usual docile smile on her face that seemed to melt their hearts for some odd reason. "My! It seems that I made the wrong turn."

She watched as they slowly surrounded her allowing no escape, "Would you gentlemen help me find my way back to the Main Street?"

They all chuckled, Rue didn't miss the small signal through their subtle glances. She felt arms wrap around her form, she almost shivered at the lust in the atmosphere.

"Sure, we can help you," Rue yelped as she was shoved to the ground. Climbing on top of her, the boss lifted a brow in amusement as he watched her struggle. He trapped in between his arms, "A beautiful woman like you shouldn't be walking around alone, especially in a place like this."

The boss turned to his subordinates, "you four go and guard the alley entrance." He turned back to Rue, licking his lips with anticipation. She seemed so delicate that he couldn't wait to tear her apart, "I'll go first."

"Leave some goods after you're done, Boss." The others laughed at the comment as they followed orders.

Rue kept her act up, pretending to struggle as he ripped the top of her dress. He paused, admiring her form. Her breasts were tightly wrapped in a white sarashi, contrasting her chocolate skin. He watched as tears brimmed at the corner of her eyes, her silver lashes lowered in pity as she trembled in fear.

"P-please don't do this," she whispered, her voice low and pleading.

This made him want to ravish her even more.

But he was mistaken, he wasn't the beast.

She allowed herself to let loose a little.

Immediately, as he was prepared to rip her sarashi off, she grabbed his wrist. Her grip increased as he grunted slightly. With an attempt to strike her, his breath hitched at the force applied on his neck. His eyes widened as he gazed into glowing specks of blue.

Yet, her face displayed not an inch of emotion.
He couldn't even let out a sound, but a little squeak like a mouse.

"Didn't anybody tell you that you shouldn't be alone an alley with strangers?" She shot, her voice sweet, yet it was laced with venom. His pupils dilated as her grip on his neck became tighter, "why do you think I chose this place specifically?"

There would be no one around, it was dark enough to block onlookers.

And most of all no one would hear you scream.

"I'm not trapped here with you," She squeezed, watching his face turn purple. Slowly, crushing his wind pipe, as tears form the force raised to the surface. Her gaze pupils transforming into a slit, "You're trapped here with me."

A bone crushing crunch rang in the air. The man's breath halted, slowly slumping backwards as Rue pushed him off. One of the subordinates took a peek, only for his eyes to widened to find his boss lifeless next to her.

"What-" before he could speak, his word were caught in his throat. Rue's eyes widened at the newcomers. The assailants were slashed and rendered completely immobile by two strangers. Their blades slashing them, ensuring they couldn't harm her again.

Although it was dark near the entrance, coming closer in the light Rue was able to get a good look at them. For a moment, Rue closed her eyes to quickly return them to normal. Suddenly, her breath hitched as a pair of arms wrapped her in a tight hug.

Wanting to separate as quick as possible from
This afternoon's events, taking a good look at them, the silver haired woman's eyes widened. Eyes as blue as the sea clashed with earthy brown that spilled with tears.

Rue felt a burning sensation in her eyes, her vision blurring with tears. Who would have thought she would be seeing someone from the past. The day she left the island, was the day she left everything she knew behind.

She never thought she would encounter anyone from that country ever again.

The woman before her immediately got on her knees, gazing at her with deep esteem. With a wave of her arms, gently coming together for a deep bow.

"Your guard, Hanabi, greets Consort Ru-" She couldn't even finish as she felt her mistress delicate hands help her stand up. They wrapped each other into another hug, a tight one at that. Neither wanting it to be a dream.

Pulling away, streams of tears went down both the woman's cheeks. Rue lifted a hand, gently placing it on Hanabi's face, wiping them away. Though there was a splash or two with blood, she paid no mind to it. "Hanabi," her tone was hushed, full of affection. Afraid that the brush of her fingers would make her disappear in an instant.

Hanabi sniffed, keeping the incoming flow of tears at bay. "I knew it was you..." She said, her voice slow in a whisper. "I just knew it."

Throughout all of this, Shanks stood gaping, his gaze solely on the silver-haired woman. It was as if time had stopped. Her skin was the earth, but seemed as smooth like the most comforting blanket. Her curl bounced at every move she made. He noticed her silver lashes as closed her eyes while laughing at what Hanabi told her.

And that smile of hers can melt any cold heart.

He eyes roamed further down her neck, but his face became hot as he turned away from the sight. If he kept looking, he knew Hanabi would kill him for it.

"She's here as well?" Rue asked Hanabi with anticipation which she nodded with a smile.

And surprisingly, she was too immersed into the conversation with the mysterious to bother with him. He observed his surroundings and noticed the slumped body of a male a few inches away from them.

He frowned, the atmosphere slightly darkened as an unpleasant thought came to mind. Around five men alone with the silver haired woman, in a dark alley. It was clear what their intentions were once they trapped her here alone. However, if she was alone with these men, then...

Who killed the one next to her?

He shifted his gaze to the silver haired woman deep in thought. She seemed to delicate to commit such an act, but...There was no one else besides her before they arrived.

Could it be...

His thoughts were cut short when Hanabi reluctantly looked his way. He blinked as Rue's gaze landed on him. He began to sweat nervously to collect on his temple as she approached, to his surprise, she gave him a deep bow.

She lifted herself up with a kind smile, "Thank you for saving both my friends." His ears tickled from the sweetness of her voice like honey. "I will find a way to repay you."

A baffled Shanks ket his eyes on her for a moment before quickly helping her up. Immediately, he released her as he felt Hanabi's harsh gaze, making holes in his head.

Running the back of his head, Shanks attempted to cover the red hue on his cheeks. Pulling off his coat, he gently placed it on her shoulders, covering her half naked top. Rue thanked him with a kind smile, gripping it with a hand.

Suddenly, Rue felt a jolt through her veins her eyes glowing as she whimpered in pain. As she was brought to her knees both Hanabi and Shanks caught her before she hit the floor. Opening her eyes for a moment she met Shank's gaze, his brown eyes gleaming with worry. As they both helped her up, she slowly created some distance between herself and the red head.

It was clear her time was short. She couldn't waste anymore time.

"Mommy!" Their heads swirled to the voice of the child who crashed on at her side. Aisha lifted her head as she pouted at her mother, her cheeks big and frowned in annoyance. "Jiji cheated!"

"Is that so?" Rue lifted her child in her arms, her heart swelled as the child appeared unharmed. Aisha nodded at her mother's words.

"He found me too fast!" She exclaimed, he wasn't supposed to find her this quickly. Rue watched as Ryuji stepped over the bloodied bodies of the group of assailants, he nodded her way as she did the same.

It seems like the other group of assailants were handled on his side.

The red head jaw dropped at the scene.

Did this kid just call her mommy?! As if she's a mother?!
