Lucy sighed but it faded into a cough. Annoyed she sat up. She was ill since a few days and the healer had told everyone to stay out of her room because apparently, the illness she had was "very contagious".
And so she sat here alone in her room. Something scraped over the floor and Lucy turned to the door where the noise was coming from.
Hushed voices whispered something and when the scraping stopped the people, the voices belonged to quickly ran away.
Lucy frowned and got up slowly.
A big piece of paper lay on the ground. The people had to have slipped it under the door.
She picked it up and turned it around.
It was a card. Flowers were drawn on the first page, and Lucy recognised them as the flowers Edmund always scribbled at the edge of his papers.
She smiled and slowly walked back to her bed.
When she sat again she opened the card.
In a beautiful font there stood: "Get well soon!", surrounded by flowers, lions, and birds.
Lucy smiled. The lions were drawn by Peter, the birds by Susan.
Because the "Get well soon" and the flowers, the lions and the birds took so much space, there was almost no space for signature left, and so Edmund's name was very small at the right corner and Susan's and Peter's names were scribbled at the long edge of the card.
Lucy giggled and put the card next to her on her nightstand.
"I love you, guys", she whispered and coughed.
