Rosalyn turned her attention back to the window and saw Ron say. "Scabbers... you're alive!"

"You wany teh be takin' better care of your pets, Ron," She heard Hagrid reprimand.

She said under her breath. "Pettigrew..."

Harry and Hermione grabbed her arms in anticipation of what she was about to do.

"Rosie..." Harry said quietly.

"Rosie you can't!" Hermione said, tugging her arm.

"Hermione that's the son of a bitch that betrayed our parents do you expect me to just sit here-?"

Hermione hissed. "Yes- you must!" She pulled Rosalyn down as the girl attempted to run off and they rushed round the other side of the pumpkins. Rosalyn angrily heard herself going into her rant at Ron. She guessed her past and future selves had been angry at this time.

Hermione tried desperately to explain when they got there. "Rosie, you're in Hagrid's hut now, if you just go bursting in on yourself you'll think you've gone mad! Awful things have happened to wizards who've meddled with time, Rosie. We can't be seen."

They heard Fudge talking but they couldn't make out his words.

"Fudge is coming," Hermione breathed, she turned round to Hagrid's. "We aren't leaving. Why aren't we leaving?"

Her answer lay on the nearest pumpkin. She looked down and saw the same fossil type stone as before when they had just been leaving Hagrid's hut.

She picked the stone off the pumpkin and held it in her hand before chucking it with all her might through the window so it could break the sugar pot.

"Are you mad?" Harry asked.

Hermione dove behind the pumpkins so that she wouldn't be see and then she threw another at the back of Rosalyn's head. They heard the Rosalyn in the hut say. "Ow!"

And the Rosalyn outside said. "Ow!" As well. "That hurt."

"Sorry," Hermione said sadly.

With the final mystery of Hagrid's hut gone, the quartet was able to head towards the back door just as Dumbledore, Fudge and Macnair knocked on the front.

The quartet escaped the hut without being seen. The trio suddenly realised that themselves were coming towards them.

"Come on, we're coming out the back door!" Hermione said. Harry and Rosalyn followed her as they ran back into the forest and hid behind trees.

They peeked out from behind the trees and Hermione pulled back a branch to look at them.

"Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?"

Harry let out a. "Hermione!" As something they had all forgotten happened.

Hermione snapped a twig underneath her foot and the other Hermione and Rosalyn both turned round at the speed of light.

The trio was shaking as they had immediately withdrawn themselves after Hermione had snapped the twig. Harry as part of the quartet asked. "What?"

"I thought I just saw... never mind."

"Let's go!"

The quartet ran back up the hill hastily and the trio came out from behind the trees. Checking that they were gone before sneaking behind the pumpkins again.

Hermione looked in the window to check that all the men in the hut were settled, and when she saw that they were, Hermione hissed. "Go, you two, go!"

Rosalyn and Harry got the message and stood up to go and rescue Buckbeak. The two of them came out from the pumpkins, wary of the meeting inside the hut.

"Okay," Rosalyn said warily. "Bow... he'll recognise me... you'll need to wait a sec whilst I get him to come..."

So she bowed low and Buckbeak half modded at her as if to give approval.

Rosalyn walked forward a little, it was only a step or two until she got to the post with the chain holding Buckbeak down on it. But then she felt a sharp pain in her ankle and a caw of a crow, and sure enough, one had flown down and attached itself to her leg.

"Get off!" She hissed quietly as she kicked her foot around. The crow flew off her leg promptly.

She walked further to the post and tried to detach the chain but another crow was there, and it pecked her fingers.

Luckily, Rosalyn was quick enough this time and got the chain off the post in time. When she did, Harry and Hermione joined her in holding the chain to try and pull Buckbeak away.

Suddenly, however, a cold dread filled the three's hearts as the front door of the hut was suddenly opened. They could hear the voices from inside perfectly now.

"When can I see the beast?"

"Wait a moment Macnair, if you please, for I think I should be there as well."

The door suddenly closed again, and Rosalyn thanked Dumbledore a thousand times over in her head. He may not have known that he was saving them, but she had a feeling he did, deep down.

Rosalyn turned her attention back to the half finished job in front of her, where she whispered. "Okay, Buckbeak, if you come with us quickly, come on."

She tried pulling on the rope attached to the Hippogriff's neck, but it just made him more irritated. And less inclined to come with them.

Rosalyn looked at Harry and Hermione for help, but all they had were some pitying looks.

"Hurry up, Buckbeak, come on," She whispered again, as it sounded like the meeting in the hut was coming to an end.

Hermione suddenly had an idea, and she came back with a favourite snack of Buckbeak's.

"Come on Buckbeak," She said, as the hippogriff looked more and more interested. "Come and get the nice dead ferret!"

"Or the nice dead Draco Malfoy..." Rosalyn sniggered.

Harry raised his eyebrows at her.

"Okay, not the time," she sighed, trying to lead Buckbeak as he followed Hermione for the ferrets.

Buckbeak stood right up to get some of that, and as a result of this, Hermione had to throw the ferret a lot further than she had expected for him to catch it in his mouth.

Hermione held the ferrets behind her as Rosalyn continued to pull on the chain.

"Come on, come on it's here! Come on Beaky!"

Just then, the door of the hut opened and Dumbledore, Fudge and Macnair strolled out of it. But whilst Rosalyn expected to be caught, Dumbledore led the group away from her, Hermione and Harry. And whilst he mumbled on about Professor Dippet and strawberries, it gave the trio more time to get Buckbeak away.

"It's like he knows isn't it?" Rosalyn grinned at her brother.

"Knows what?" Harry asked.

"Doesn't matter," his twin said as Hermione fed another ferret to Buckbeak.

Rosalyn slowly tugged the chain and to her relief, Buckbeak followed without objection.

"Come on, come on..." Hermione whispered quietly to the hippogriff.

The trio and hippogriff quickly made their way back to the forest. Ironically, just as Fudge complained and said that they should just "get this over with", they disappeared among the trees again. Just in the nick of time, as well, because just after that, Dumbledore turned round and so did Hagrid, Fudge and Macnair.

"But where is it?"

It was almost comedic, and it certainly was to Rosalyn. She wasn't ashamed to admit that she was sniggering at the bemused looks on Hagrid's and Dumbledore's faces, or the angry ones on Fudge's and Macnair's.

"I saw the beast, just now!" Fudge was shouting. Macnair walked forward as the minister continued raving. "I saw it not a moment ago!"

"Buckbeak..." Hagrid murmured.

"How extraordinary," Dumbledore looked as though he was rather enjoying the whole situation.

Back behind the trees, Hermione hissed. "Buckbeak,"after he tried to nibble the ferret she had attached to her belt. But Rosalyn was too busy listening to the conversation of four men with very controversial personalities at that moment.

"Come now Dumbledore," Fudge said. "Someone's obviously released him!"

"Well it wasn' me!" Hagrid said immediately.

"I don't think the Minister's suggesting you had anything to do with this Hagrid." Dumbledore stuck by his friend. "After all, how could you? You've been with us this entire time."

"Oh, right," Hagrid said bluntly.

"Well, well," Fudge blustered. "We must search the grounds!"

"Search the skies if you must Minister! Because I for one strongly doubt the thief would've escaped on foot," Dumbledore said obviously. "Meanwhile Hagrid, I would like a nice cup of tea. Or a large brandy."

Rosalyn snorted.

"Oh, and executioner?" Dumbledore had his final word as he headed inside Hagrid's hut. "Your services will no longer be required. Thank you."

As he followed Dumbledore into his hut, Hagrid was beside himself with happiness. Fudge, meanwhile, was beside himself with suppressed anger. Macnair, on the other hand, decided to let his anger out by cutting a pumpkin in half with his axe.

After they had witnessed this, Rosalyn, Harry and Hermione had ran into the forest, staying only to the outskirts, however. They dodged in between trees, they held the chain around Buckbeak's neck, and they just kept moving, needing to get a good view of the whomping willow to have a good idea of the time.

Hermione fed Buckbeak a ferret as Rosalyn asked. "Now what?"

"We save Sirius and Isabelle," Hermione answered.

"How?" Harry put in.

"No idea!" Hermione said helpfully as they moved along.

They eventually got somewhere that they could see the killer tree perfectly. Hermione said. "Look it's Lupin!" As they caught their breath.

She wasn't wrong, the man pointed his wand at the tree and said. "Immobulus!"

The tree froze, and that allowed Lupin to get into the passage between the roots.

"All that time we spent getting walloped..." Rosalyn said under her breath, as Lupin had just demonstrated how easy it was to enter the Shrieking Shack.

"And there's Snape..." Harry said, as the greasy haired git followed the werewolf in.

"So we're all in," Rosalyn clarified. "And now we wait."

"And now we wait," Harry and Hermione said in unison as they all looked at each other.

The three of them sat down and waited. They watched, Buckbeak ate some birds, and then Rosalyn finally admitted what had been on her mind.

"Harry, Hermione..." She started, and when they acknowledged her, she continued. "Before... down by the lake when I was with Sirius and Izzy... I did see someone. That someone... made the dementors go away."

"With a patronus?" Hermione asked. Rosalyn looked at her and she explained. "I heard Snape telling Dumbledore. According to him, only a really powerful wizard could've conjured it."

"It was my dad," Rosalyn said quickly, "It was my dad who conjured the patronus."

"Rosie, your, your dad's-" Hermione started.

"Dead, I know," Rosalyn said harshly. "I'm just telling you what I saw."

Hermione and Harry looked at Rosalyn sadly as she stared at the ground.

Suddenly Hermione moved. "Look, here we come!"

Rosalyn snapped her head up and looked at the tree. Sure enough, everyone (everyone except Snape) was out, and when Sirius and Izzy pulled present Rosalyn aside, future Rosalyn decided to tell Harry and Hermione what he had said.

"You see Sirius and Izzy talking with me?" Rosalyn said. "Well... they're asking me to live with them. Harry too, so... we could've lived together," She finished bitterly.

"What?" Harry asked as Hermione said. "That's brilliant!"

"Yeah but it'll never happen now," Rosalyn felt a lump in her throat. She was close to tears. "He- he'll have to live on the run and Izzy'll have to change her name back to Potter because she'll be outcasted if she's called Black. Because even if we free them, we have no proof of Sirius being innocent."

The tears brimmed in her eyes as she suddenly realised how close she had been to living with her brother. Harry pulled her into a side hug and said. "Rosie, it's okay, I'm fine, honestl-"

"Rosalyn!"

Hermione's voice pulled the twins out of their hug as the moonlight shone upon them. Rosalyn wiped away her tears as she heard the screams and took off running with Hermione and Harry.

They eventually got to a place where they could see Rosalyn facing Lupin.

"Another wolf called to him," She remembered. "And I was-"

"Awwooooooooo!"

Hermione had put her hands up near her lips and made the sound. Rosalyn was shocked but she guessed that it hadn't been another wolf that had called to Lupin. It had been Hermione.

"What are you doing?!" Harry asked, trying to prise her hands off her face.

"Saving Rosie's life!" Hermione answered, making a similar sound as she wrestled her hands out of Harry's grip.

"Thanks," Rosalyn said.

The werewolf had stopped persuing Rosalyn, but now it was running towards the trio in their wake.

"Great now it's coming for us," Rosalyn hurriedly said.

Hermione said quickly, "yeah, didn't think about that. Run!"

They took off through the woods, weaving in between the trees, the werewolf hot on their trail. They suddenly got to a bit where it was hard to negotiate because of all the roots cutting through the dirt.

Rosalyn was running at the fore of the three, and she was fast, but that all stopped when she tripped over a root.

"Rosie!" Harry and Hermione yelled in unison as they charged past her, not able to stop.

She hit the ground hard. The impact was only marginally softened by the fact that it was dirt and not concrete. Everywhere hurt, and she was convinced that she had broken a bone.

But then she saw the werewolf coming towards her, and that banished all other thoughts out of her mind.
