I took out the old black suit and started to feel myself again. It was the missing piece. The spider bite bracelets lit up, charged, my batons on my back. It felt wrong but also good to be back. I threw my hair in a ponytail and just took a good look at myself. and headed out as they said the car was ready. Fisk, Wesley and I hopped in.
"Dont talk, only when you're supposed to." Wesley went over the rules for me. Fisk cracks his knuckles and looks out the car window. "You heard?"
"Im not deaf." I rolled my eyes as i spoke in my normal accent again and stared out the window. We pulled up to a old parking garage, 3 people there, waiting for Wilsons arrival.
"Why aren't we meeting in the usual place? And whats all this?" Said a older man, who already was getting on my nerves.
"An opportunity." They went on about their deal, the movement of products, the death of some Russians brother and covering it all up. "I want to introduce you to my new pair of eyes. After the the death of Robert, only this person can take his place." Wilson takes my hand and helps me out of the car. The three older people stayed silent. "His daughter, Devon. Also known as the Red Widow, shes a nightmare come true, so ive been told. She will be by my side until further notice, but for now, she works for me." I nodded my head, bowing to the others.
"Great another lunatic." Said the older gentleman, Leland. "What is this? Natasha Romanoff knock off?" He pushed a button. I grabbed his neck and Wesley backs up. Nobody did a thing to stop me.
"Watch your words." I spat. "Don't ever compare me to her. She's nothing but a traitor." I let him go and stood in place. He rubs his neck.
"I rather you do what you do, Devon takes this seriously." They slightly nod. "So, four shares, instead of five." The older woman spoke in Mandarin, she was all in. The other man just nods and now we look at Leland. "Leland."
"What, Im going against the three of you? I like my head where its at. But wait, how do we know shes want in the shares?" He points at me.
"I dont care about the money."
"You can trust her. She was Roberts. He was a loyal friend." They all nodded again. "Then we're in a agreement. Nothing changes... until im ready to move on Vladimir."
"And what if he finds out the truth before that happens?"
"That would be unfortunate for all of us." Leland takes a deep breath and scoffs.
"Masked vigilantes, crazy Russians...im getting my stun gun out of storage." Leland walks away and the other, Nobu walks up to Wilson.
"Remember your promise to me... and those I speak for." They agreed and now was Madam Gao.
"Madam Gao, may I walk you to your car?" Fisk extends his arm for her to grab and she look at him, up and down. She spoke in Mandarin again.
"She thinks you want something." Wesley nods to me to get in the car, now waiting for them. They got in the car shortly and dropped them off at Wilsons loft. "Stay by your phone, dont tell anyone, specially your lawyer friends."
"You want me to cross my heart and say that I hope to die? What about a pinky promise?" He rolled his eyes. "Goodbye gentlemen." I got out of my suit and headed back home and slept more calmly than i ever did before.

I was tied up on a chair as 5 men paced around the room, waiting for a call. I cracked my neck and looked at them. They were what was left of the Russians, Fisk asked me to take care of them and well, I decided to have some fun. I annoyed them by talking and laughing at them and one of them had enough and slapped me across and making me throw my head back.
"что мы будем делать? Он не берет трубку, а хорошенькая девчонка раздражает." (what are we going to do? Hes not picking up and the pretty girl is being a pain.)
"Ты думаешь, я красивая?" (You think im pretty?) i smirked at him. My phone started buzzing and they all looked like they were surprised, not knowing what to do. I whistled and shook my head to my phone. One of them picked up, gulping and passing me the phone. "Yes?"
"We need you." It was Wesley. "Fisk needs you." What great timing.
"Im kinda tied up in the moment, can it wait?"
"You have to get to 41 Street." He already sounded annoyed with me, I decided to have even more fun. "Devon." I stayed silent. "God I don't know who's more childish, you or your father."
"You didn't use your manners Weasel, sorry Wesley." I can hear him getting frustrated with me. "Ill wait, we both know Fisk doesn't like that."
"Can you please head to 41 Street and meet Fisk with his date within the next 20 minutes." Him saying that made me smirk.
"Ill be there in 10." I nodded my head, letting them i was done using the phone. And as soon as the man got close, I bit his ear and hit him with the chair. Running to the men, knocking them off their feet and grabbing their guns. Two bullets per men and dusted off my clothes. One of them groan in pain. I squatted down and held his chin up. "Whos pretty now." I twisted his neck and picked up my phone and drove on my motorcycle, gift from Fisk himself. I flipped my hair back as i took off my helmet and headed upstairs. I heard laughing and the host headed to me.
"Bodyguard." I said and he left. I stood in front of the door, making sure nobody walks in and ruins the dinner. I can hear them talk, the soft music. I cracked my neck, looking at the elevator, with everything I did, im standing here. What a downgrade. The doors behind me opened, the woman and Fisk walks out.
"Vanessa, this is my niece, Devon." Fisk introduced us. She sticks out her hand and I took it.
"Wilson told me a lot about you, a Widow." She looks down at my suit. "I wouldn't guess a beautiful woman like you be such a killer."
"Its what I was trained to do." I gave her a fake smile. Fisk comes up to me, starts to whisper in my ear.
"Kill Marcel." He tells me and he leaves. I turned around and head in, reaching for my batons. I whistle, looking for him. I can hear him still, hiding. His shoe peaked behind the bar.
"Boo!" I hit him, he falls back and crawls away. I stomped on his leg, making him cry. "You shouldn't have done that." He throws bottles at my face, now getting cuts. He smashes one on my cheek and eye, now that was going to bruise. I pulled out my gun and shot him. I left his body there and headed out. I shoved my suit in my bag and headed to the penthouse. I snuck in, headed in the kitchen.
"Hey there." River stands by the island. Great. Now I have to cover myself.
"You know you don't have to wait for me. Im an adult." I stuck my head in the fridge.
"Yeah I do." He tells me.
"Nope."
"I do, now where were you? I went to your place, you weren't there, work, not there." He places his cup down.
"I was out, just out." I slide into the pantry. He sighs.
"Devon."
"Oh, I forgot my notebook in the office im going-" i tried to move away but he stops me, barricade the door with his Body.
"No, its already late." I did a 180 and and stood in front of the sink, facing away from him. "Look at me Devon, im not playing games." I turned around and once he saw me, he takes a step back. My cuts, my bruises were now showing. "Who did this to you? Devon? Who?"
"Please leave me alone River. Go to bed."
"Please."
"Go to bed River! Go!"
"I cant!" He yells at me back. "Every night ever since dads death you been MIA and you're turning just like him. I stay up so I can see that you're actually okay and not dead! I worry about you! Worried that you might be taken again." He drops his head. "Devon, just tell me." I didn't say a word and went straight to my room and locked myself. This is going to be harder than I thought.

Wesley called me saying that they need me at rooftop and everything I need was there. River was still out in the kitchen so I settled on going out the window. I jumped out and made my way again to do this. So much running around its making me tired.
"You got the stuff?" Wesley calls me up as I put him on speaker as I ran up and squatted down, assembling the sniper.
"How many casualties? Who do you want?" I laid down and scanned the area.
"Shoot at Blake, make it look like its a hit."
"Sounds fine by me."
"Do me a favor, don't mess up."
"Let me do what I do best, yeah?" I hung up and waited, got the targets to shoot. I slowed down my heartbeat, focusing on the targets. Cops, pedestrians, reporters surrounded the abandoned building, the man in the mask had Vladimir. A text was sent by Wesley, now. My finger pulled the trigger and shot the cop in the chest and a few at some others. As the crowd got scared, I quickly packed up and raced out the roof. I ran out to the street and followed the people who were running off and I got on my motorcycle and left the scene.
