KATHERINE AND CASSANDRA WALK INTO THE BED AND BREAKFAST, the Petrova had decided to go to the upcoming masquerade ball and was forcing Cassandra to come along. Saying Cassandra was less than pleased would be the understatement of the century. She sighs as she flops down onto the couch, her head hitting the softness of the pillow.
Katherine rolls her eyes playfully at the girl before turning to glance at the woman carrying their bags. She was the owner of the bed and breakfast that she was residing in. "Where should I put these?" The woman asks with a polite smile on her face. Katherine smiles back at her before pointing to another loveseat that Cassandra was sprawled across.
"Right there. Thank you, Miss Flowers. You've been such a wonderful help." Katherine tells the kind woman who nods her head before backing up, heading towards the door that they came through.
"My pleasure dear. Let me know if there is anything else I can do." Mrs flowers states with a smile as her hand moves to reach for the door handle. Katherine nods her head, glancing over at Cassandra who had closed her eyes.
"I will." Katherine replies before Mrs Flower's leaves, closing the door behind her leaving the two vampires alone. Cassandra let's out a loud groan as she lifts her head from the soft pillow beneath her.
"Do we really have to go to this stupid dance?" She asks the girl who only laughs, smiling at the girls clear scowl. Katherine walks over to the girl, pulling her up off of the couch in which resulted in almost getting whacked by Cassandra.
"Cheer up, Cassie. You get to dress up all sexy for your rendezvous with Elijah." Katherine teases with a smirk before turning to the bags they had full of their stuff. Cassandra only frowns at the mention of the original, remembering back to their previous conversation where she basically told him to screw off.
"There is no more rendezvous." Cassandra admits make Katherine snap her head towards her, obviously shocked by the news she was just told. Elijah would not give up on her that easily. "I told him to leave me alone because he was being stubborn and mean." She explains with a sigh as Katherine almost hits her forehead with her palm. How could she be so transparent? Elijah was so obvious about it, it honestly shocked Katherine how he hadn't just blurted it out already.
"Are you actually that dumb you don't see it?" Katherine questions with her eyebrows raised, not understanding how the girl could possibly go five centuries without seeing Elijah's undying love for her.
Cassandra had always seen Elijah as a close friend, especially when she was with Klaus. She didn't understand Katherine's innuendos about him since they never had anything other than a physical relationship.
"See what?" She asks, seemingly annoyed by the girls constant vague answers. Katherine only smirks at Cassandra before she squints her eyes. She speeds over, trapping Lucy against the wall. Lucy gasps as Katherine's hand wraps around her throat.
"Woah, Kat. Chill." Lucy says as she stares at the girl who only rolls her eyes, glaring at the woman. She suddenly let's the brown-skinned girl go which only made Cassandra confused. She didn't know who the woman even was let alone why Katherine would just let her go.
"Do not sneak up on a vampire." Katherine warns as she walks away, looking at Cassandra who had her arms crossed, trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
"Don't attack a witch." Lucy bites back causing a knowing expression to form on Cassandra's face. Of course Katherine had recruited a witch. She wasn't dumb enough to walk into a trap without the right protection. "It's good to see you, girl." She tells Katherine before pulling the girl in for a hug which the vampire returns immediately.
"I'm glad you made it." Katherine says as she hugs her for a moment longer before pulling away, having enough of the soppy touching thing they had going on.
"You called, I came." Lucy states as she backs away from the vampire. Katherine tilts her head as she raises an eyebrow.
"Like you had a choice " She points out with a pointed expression, Lucy had owed Katherine a favor meaning that was the only reason the witch didn't say no to her.
"Don't you get all boss lady on me. You know I love you." Lucy smirks at the brunette who giggles before gesturing over to Cassandra who had just been watching the interaction.
"This is Cassie, my bestest friend." Katherine introduces with a smile on her face as she wraps her arms around the back of the girls neck. Cassandra only rolls her eyes playfully but leans back against the girl. Lucy's eyes land on the girls, slightly widening at her.
"I know who she is." Lucy admits while nodding her head causing Cassandra to look back at her curiously.Β "You know Klaus has got dozens of witches searching for you since his can't seem to do the trick." She adds with a raise of her eyebrows causing Cassandra to roll her eyes. Katherine only stares shocked but it wasn't news to Cassandra who only shrugs her shoulders.
"That's where he is going wrong. He wants me. He can come and get me himself." Cassandra states with a smirk set on her face. Lucy laughs as she presses her lips together, tilting her head at the older vampire.
"Ooh, you've got spice. I can see why Klaus is obsessed with you." She tells Cassandra who gives a polite smile before turning back to the couch, falling back against it once more. "Oh, where does one wear this?" Lucy asks as she picks up the mask that Katherine was going to wear tonight.
"To a masquerade ball. Tonight. Do you want to be our date?" Katherine states, a smirk planted on her lips. Lucy raises her eyebrows at the girl as she slowly lowers the mask back to where she had taken it from.
"You know they are gonna try something, right? Probably kill you?" Cassandra points out as she leans against the arm of the couch. Katherine turns her head to her friend with a clear plan set in her mind.
"That's why I have Lucy. She's going to link me to Elena." Katherine tells the girl with a smirk. Cassandra chuckles as she nods her head, forgetting how genius Katherine really was when she put her head into it.
"So they can't kill you. Smart." She proclaims, complimenting lightly as she glances at the brunette. "They attacked me the other night. Obviously, not a smart move attacking a seven hundred year old vampire." Cassandra explains with a scoff as she runs a hand through her hair. Katherine raises an eyebrow at the information, internally rolling her eyes at the boys stupidity.
"What did you do?" Katherine asks curiously, even though she would've found out of it was anything major. From her pal Caroline who was practically under her control.
"Nothing. But it seemed good to get revenge for Damon killing Mason although I needed him out of my life anyways." Cassandra explains with a satisfied smile on her face which made Katherine laugh as she nods. She had been waiting so long for the werewolf to bite it, it not affecting her plan since she compelled Matt to attack Tyler tonight, trying to trigger the curse. "I did like Jenna though." She pouts, hating to have had to include Jenna as collateral damage but Katherine wouldn't let them choose anyone else to hurt precious little Elena. Even though Cassandra did kill Jeremy the same night.
"She survived, don't worry." Katherine states in annoyance, a scowl evident on her face. She was hoping Jenna would slip away but she just had to survive a knife to the abdomen.
"I guess we should start getting ready for tonight." Cassandra admits with a tired expression on her face, not wanting to go to the stupid ball but she had to keep her eyes on the Salvatore's somehow.
Cassandra grabs her dress from one of the bags before beginning to change, this was going to be a long night.

FINISHING PUTTING HER DRESS ON, Cassandra looks at herself in the mirror but not before seeing the messages popping up on her phone. She internally groans at Elijah's constant need to talk to her. What did he not understand about basically telling him to leave her the hell alone?
Elijah had other plans though. He wanted to apologize for the way he acted but also finally admit his feelings for the girl. Maybe then she would understand why he had been acting so weird when he talked about the werewolf fake boyfriend. If she even understood then.
Cassandra, please just tell me you are alright
Cassandra?
I will come find you again if you do not answer me
Cassandra rolls her eyes as she picks up her phone, clenching her jaw as she types her message. She didn't want to worry him because then he would definitely end up coming to find her which was not good for anyone.
I'm fine. Leave me alone.
She drops the phone onto the couch before moving to fix her dress which was clung to her every curve. Katherine was currently straightening her hair in the long mirror as Lucy stared at her curiously, not seeing why the change of hairstyle was necessary. "What's with the hair?" She decides to ask the Petrova who glances at Lucy through the mirror. Katherine let's out a sigh, a look of distaste on her face.
"I'm impersonating my dollish, dishwater doppleganger Elena. She has the worst taste." Katherine answers with a scoff, continuing on doing as she was, Lucy smirking at her through the mirror.
"Except in men." Lucy points out catching the attention of Cassandra who let's out a chuckle at the witch's comment. Katherine only squints her eyes slightly before letting the thought escape her mind. "Isn't it a risk pretending to be her in front of the entire town?" She asks with raised eyebrows but Katherine only shrugs her shoulders, not really having a problem with it other than with the vampires and the stupid Bennett witch.
"I've gotten quite good at it actually, and everyone's going to be in masks." Katherine says as Lucy holds a dress up to her body, only for the vampire to shake her head in disapproval, a disgruntled noise leaving her lips. "It's for this feed the something charity. It's for a good cause, Lucy." She states with a smirk on her lips causing Lucy to smile as she shakes her head.
"Okay. Well have you actually seen the moonstone before? I always thought it was some made up legend." Lucy tells her with a roll of her eyes. She had never even seen the stone so she didn't even know if it was real at all. Probably just being strung along on a wild goose chase.
"I have seen it and I need you to help me get it back." Katherine says with a sigh as she stops straightening her hair for a moment to glance at it.
"Oh, yeah? What are you gonna do with it?" Lucy asks curiously as she checks out another dress. At the silence, she raises her head taking in Katherine's expression. That's when it hit the witch, Katherine was planning the inevitable. "You want me to break the curse?" She says in a shocked tone as Katherine only stares back at her. Lucy was just standing still, unable to register what was being asked of her.
"Let's just get it first. All I need is backup. I doubt Damon and Stefan are just going to hand it over without putting up a fight, like Cassie said." Katherine admits with a sigh, hating how the Salvatore's had the moonstone. If only Mason wasn't stupid and had just given it to Cassandra in the first place. "Are you listening?" She asks Cassandra, noticing the girl was still in the bathroom, changing into her dress.
"Yeah, got it." She mutters before reentering the room to show off her outfit to the girls who were focused on their looks. "How do I look?" Cassandra asks as she twirls in her dress. Katherine glances over at her, a sigh leaving her lips as she took in the girls appearance. She was wearing a tight black dress that stopped just under her butt, the back completely open with a v-line in the front so her chest was pushed up, perky as ever. The girl looked like a complete goddess. Or a sexy goddess at that.
"You seriously have the perfect body, I'm jealous." She pouts, her eyes running down the raven haired girls body. Cassandra rolls her eyes playfully, them both knowing that Katherine wasn't exactly ugly herself.
"It's how I get all the men." Cassandra teases with a laugh as she bends down to put on her black heels. Katherine only glances over at her before turning back to her mirror.
"Aka Elijah." Katherine mumbles with a smirk playing on her lips. She didn't care what Cassandra told her, she was team celijah, god she was turning into Caroline, and was going to fight for their relationship to the end. Not caring about Klaus in the scenario.
"Why do you keep bringing him up?" Cassandra asks, groaning at the mention of the original once again. She didn't get Katherine's obsession with the man or why she kept giving vague hints about something going on with the original.
"I love seeing you clueless." Katherine giggles as she returns to straightening her hair. Cassandra only glares at the brunette before letting her hands fall to her sides, full of anger.
"Someone do my hair." She demands with a huff as she slumps onto the chair in front of the makeup mirror. Lucy and Katherine only share a knowing glance before the witch makes her way over to Cassandra. Cassandra let's out a sigh as she stares at her reflection, she just wanted everything to be over already. She was honestly done with everything. Done with the life she was living. Done.
β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’
THE SALVATORE'S WERE LOOKING OVER THE PARTY, watching for any signs of Katherine Pierce. They were going to go for both Katherine and Cassandra but they felt like they needed the raven haired vampire to fill in some of the gaps. Plus, she had promised to tell them about her past later on. They feel a presence beside them so they turn their heads only to see Cassandra standing next to them with a clear smirk on her face.
Cassandra wasn't planning on messing up what they had in store for Katherine. She knew the doppleganger had linked herself to the annoying version of herself, Elena. So, the boys couldn't even kill the brunette but it would be fun to watch them try. "Boys." She says in a calm tone, her body shifting to face them. Cassandra noticed the knowing glances down her body from both of the brothers. She couldn't help the lustful presence that she felt deep down inside her. Although, she was curious as to why Stefan was also admiring her body, not knowing of his previous break up with Elena. It didn't stop her from pretending to fix her hair so her dress rides up a little while her chest perks up, even more than it already was. Stefan was the first to snap out of his trance, feeling ashamed that he was even looking at another woman.
"What are you doing here?" He asks with a raise of his eyebrows. It was kind of obvious to them but he wanted to hear Cassandra say it since she was half on their side.
"Being Katherine's date." Cassandra states as she grabs a glass of champagne from the passing tray. She brings it to her lips, letting some of the liquid into her mouth. Damon groans at the mention of Katherine but he was not hiding the obvious fact that he was checking her out.
"You're here with the she-devil?" He asks as Cassandra glances over the party trying to find the Petrova who seemed to be blending in pretty well. Damons eyes move down to her ass, a smirk plastered on his lips. Stefan rolls his eyes before hitting him upside the head earning a glare from the man. Stefan only gives him a 'seriously' look as Damon flips him off.
"Obviously. You did kill my supposed to be date." Cassandra reminds him as she turns back around, catching a glimpse of Damon and Stefan's mental battle with each other.
"Did you know about Jenna?" Stefan asks after turning away from Damon who went back to absentmindedly eyeing Cassandra's body. Not that she minded in the slightest, she loved all the attention she got.
"I warned you, didn't I?" Cassandra points out with a sigh as she glances down at her perfectly manicured nails. Stefan clenches his jaw, hating the fact that she was one of the reasons Jenna had stabbed herself. "I know you two are planning something." She admits as she crosses her arms, her nail tapping against the glass in her hand. Stefan goes back to looking for Katherine to avoid the girls lingering stare.
"We have no idea what you are talking about." Damon denies with a shrug of his shoulders, an innocent expression on his face. Cassandra internally rolls her eyes at the inability to trust her.
"Cute." Cassandra states with a tight smile as her eyes flicker between the two. She knew what they were up to, anyone with a brain could make the connection that they wanted Katherine dead. She squints her eyes before holding out her hand, an expectant look on her face. Both Salvatore's only stare at her hand, neither one moving to take it. "It is not polite to leave a lady hanging." She states with a playful pout as she batts her eyelashes at the two males. They exchange a glance as Cassandra gives them a flirtatious glance. Damon nods his head as he gives his brother a playfully scolding expression.
"You're totally right." Damon says with an exaggerated gasp. He reaches out to take her hand which made Cassandra smirk happily but instead of grabbing it he took the glass out of her other hand. Damon watches as Cassandra falters, watching as he took a drink of her champagne. "Do you see one?" He asks curiously, glancing around as he purposefully towered over the girl. Cassandra's face drops, a glare replacing her once flirty expression. It only made Damon's smirk widen as the girl was practically fuming. She only lets out a huff before placing her hand on her hip.
"Maybe I'll just go find baby Gilbert, he sure tastes exquisite." Cassandra utters with a hungry expression in her eyes, allowing them to transform into her vampire face. Stefan and Damon only clench their jaws as they glance at each other. The younger Salvatore only nudges Damon a little as he nods his head towards the girl who was waiting impatiently. Damon just rolls his eyes with a defeated sigh, making Cassandra contort her face back to normal, planting a smile on her face as he took her hand.
They walk together, into the crowd of people who were slow dancing. Cassandra wraps her arms around his neck as his place themselves on her hips. They start moving together, neither once daring to glance at the other. Cassandra decided to break the silence but she couldn't just make small talk, she wanted to build up rage inside of Damon. "Where is your girlfriend, tonight?" She teases, knowing it was a sore spot for him since he was in love with his brothers girl. Which she didn't understand how he could ever do that to Stefan. Elena would end up choosing Damon in the end which made Cassandra mad since the girl lead them both on, acting so innocent and like she doesn't know what she is doing.
"You don't get to ask about Elena." He hisses with a glare on his face as he meets the eyes of the girl. Cassandra only squints her eyes before shrugging her shoulders. She would ask whatever she wanted to ask, he didn't control her.
"You killed Mason." She points out which causes Damon's mind snap to the question he had asked himself that day. Why was it so easy for him to kill her if she had shown just how strong she was against him.
"It doesn't make sense, you are stronger than me. You've shown that. But somehow I managed to snap your neck? Doesn't add up." Damon explains suspiciously as he tried to read the girls mind, of course not literally. Cassandra only raises her eyebrows at the man's accusations, although she is impressed. She thought it would slide right over his head.
"What are you accusing me of? Getting my own dashing boyfriend killed?" She questions with an amused smile on her face. Damon only clicks his tongue as he tilts his head. He shrugs his shoulders a little, allowing his hands to fall a little below her waist.
"I wouldn't put it beneath you." Damon admits as he feels the girl getting closer to his body. Cassandra only smirks as she moves up to his ear.
"I know you're going to kill Katherine." She whispers quietly, enough for him to hear. He pulls away with a shocked expression on his face, his stomach dropping at the fact that Cassandra who was a dear friend of Katherine's, knew of their plan to kill her.Β "Oh, don't look so shocked or try and cover it up." Cassandra tells him with a playful roll of her eyes, her body still practically pressed against his. Damon, although he was getting angry at the girl knowing everything about their plans, he couldn't help but enjoy her closeness.
"You ruin it--" He starts, pointing a finger at the girl who only hits it away from her face. A glare making its way into her eyes as she stares at Damon.
"Are you threatening me?" Cassandra asks with a scoff, she couldn't believe the audacity that the eldest Salvatore had. She was older than him but he thought that he could boss her around.
"I'm sure you want her out of your life too." Damon coaxes with a squint of his eyes but the girl only glances at the ground, avoiding his gaze. Cassandra didn't want Katherine dead. She had been the closest thing to a sister ever since Cassandra had left Rebekah behind. Leaving Klaus meant also leaving her best friend, who happened to be her lover's sister.
"I don't know. This got so complicated." Cassandra admits with a frown on her face and Damon could tell she was being genuine. He really thinks she is just misunderstood. They didn't know her past so they didn't know what she went through so they shouldn't be so quick to judge her. He had always heard stories of the girl, sweet and innocent. Didn't want to harm a fly. Damon wanted to find that person deep down inside of her. "Mmm, want a taste?" She asks as she glances at the strawberry she held in her hand. Damon only stares at her before she allows him to bite part of the strawberry, a part of it getting stuck on his bottom lip. Cassandra uses her thumb to wipe it off slowly, bringing it to her mouth as she gazes into his eyes. She sucks it off before letting herself stay where she was which was a mere inch from the Salvatore. Cassandra could feel him against her, making her smirk even wider.
"Why are all the psycho ones hot?" Damon mutters as he watches Cassandra eat the last of it, the juice dripping from her mouth. She only smirks as she hears him, wiping the liquid and holding it up to Damon. Stefan, who had recently come back from a chat with Katherine, saw his brother still distracted by Cassandra. He didn't know if she was doing it on purpose or if it was just the fact that you could cut the sexual tension around them with a knife, but they had to get to the room before it was too late. Stefan watched Damon lift Cassandra's finger to his mouth, licking off the strawberry juice. He rolls his eyes as he starts to make his way towards them.
"You think I'm hot?" She questions with a raised eyebrow, knowingly trying to edge him on. Cassandra already knew what Damon thought about her and although they didn't often see eye to eye, they both had a physical attraction for one another.
"In a dress like that?" Damon whistles lowly as his eyes move down her body again, his tongue licking his bottom lip as he did so. Cassandra smirks up at him, giggling under her breath as she could feel herself getting aroused.
"I'm guessing you don't have time for a little athletic activity?" Cassandra asks in a seductive manner as she lets her hands roam down the front of his suit. Damon could feel himself losing control around her, wanting desperately to take her right then and there, thinking about nothing but her body against his, all sweaty as people watched, wishing they were them. "One time offer only." She whispers as her lips hover over his ear before moving slowly towards his lips. Damon doesn't make any attempt to move away, his hands still glued to her as he stares into her eyes. That was until he could see Stefan in the corner of his eye, telling him to come with him. He reluctantly pulls away from Cassandra who let's out a sigh. "Too bad." Cassandra says before walking away from the Salvatore leaving him to deal with the million questions Stefan had asked him about what had just happened.
Cassandra walks through the Lockwood mansion, trying to find more alcohol to make the night more bearable while also keeping an eye out for Katherine who seemingly wasn't too hard to find after all. "Cassie!" She hears the voice of Katherine Pierce yell making her turn her head, noticing the girl dragging Caroline down the hall. Cassandra only raises her eyebrows but follow them anyways. She guessed it had something to do with the moonstone. Caroline had told Katherine that Bonnie had the moonstone in a room upstairs which the girl had believed to be true. "Which room is it?" Katherine sneers as she pulls at Caroline's hair making a pained noise leave the girls lips
"It's that one." Caroline says with tears in her eyes as she points at the room in front of her. Katherine roughly let's go of her as her and Cassandra enter the room that the girl had told them.
"Where is she?" She asks as she glances around the room, not seeing Bonnie anywhere in sight. It wasn't until Caroline started laughing that Katherine realized that she had walked right into a trap. She slowly turns to face the blonde who had a proud smile on her face.
"I did it. I really didn't think I'd be able to fool you but I did it." Caroline admits with a laugh making Katherine glare at her as Cassandra only jokingly claps her hands for the blonde. She was honestly pretty good at lying to Katherine for once in her life.
"Stefan." She says, already knowing the man is going to appear. It wasnt rocket science since Cassandra even warned her that it might happen.
"Hello, Katherine." Stefan's voice fills the room making Katherine internally groan as she glances only to see Stefan appear behind her.
"Goodbye, Katherine." Caroline says with a wicked smile before leaving them to do their little scheme. Katherine turns back to Stefan, an amused expression on her face.
"You don't really think that you can kill me with that, do you?" She asks with a scoff as she rolls her eyes at the boy. Stefan shakes his head as he glances down a the stake in his hand.
"No. But he can." Stefan tells her with a smirk as Damon sneaks up behind her before shooting a stake into her back making the girl gasp out. Cassandra raises her eyebrows as she sits down on the couch in the middle of the room. She really needed some popcorn because this was going to be quite a show.
"Cassie." Katherine says, trying to get the girl to help her as she tries to grab the stake implanted into her back. Cassandra only puts her feet up on the table, getting more relaxed.
"But I'm comfy." She responds with a sigh as she watches Stefan shoot another stake into Katherine's arm, earning another groan from her. Stefan vamp speeds at the woman but she only stops him, throwing him into the table by the wall. Damon rushes to her, grabbing the stake out of her back only causing Katherine to turn to him quickly, gripping his hand before he can stab her again. She twists his arm before throwing him making the Salvatore smash against the wall. Stefan throws a mini stake at Katherine but she ducks making it hit the wall, he goes to throw another one but she only catches it, sending it flying back towards him. Stefan dodges it as Damon tries to attack Katherine once more but she only spins him before throwing him again.
Katherine takes this moment of peace to glance over at Cassandra with an exasperated expression on her face. "Seriously!?" She yells, throwing her hands into the air as Cassandra merely glances at her.
"You want me to do something?" Cassandra asks making the girl nod her head furiously. The older vampire only stands up, walking over to Katherine before suddenly kicking her in the stomach, sending her flying across the room.
Katherine vamp speeds off of the floor just in time to catch the stake that Damon is about to put into her heart. She glares at him as she practically breaks his hand, flipping the stake so it is almost implanted into his chest. Stefan's arms suddenly wrap around her, making Damon push them back so they're on the floor. He is about to stake her heart when a voice yells at them making him stop abruptly.
"Stop!" Jeremy yells at them, thankfully getting to them just in time. "You're hurting Elena. Everything you're doing to her is hurting Elena." He explains making Damon glance back at the Gilbert with a shocked expression on his face but he couldn't help but feel bad for the human girl who had to suffer through what they had just attempted on Katherine. Katherine smirks as she pushes Damon so she is able to get up.
"You think you two are the only ones with a witch on your side? Wrong. Something tells me that me witch is better than your witch." Katherine states as she grabs the stake from Damon's hand. She walks back over to the couch, turning around to face the brothers again.
"Jeremy, go check on Elena. Make sure she's okay." Stefan demands as he points at the Gilbert who nods his head before rushing off. Katherine only rolls her eyes at Stefan's eagerness to help Elena.
"Let's all make sure that poor Elena's okay. Just a little bit more pressure." Katherine says before digging the stake into her hand, drawing a line. Stefan hits it out of her hand, a glare on his face. She only squints her eyes at him before grabbing it once more. "This is really gonna hurt." She admits before raising the stake, ready to puncture it into her stomach.
"Wait." Damon yells causing the girl to stop suddenly. Katherine only smirks as she holds up her hands before sitting back onto the couch, resting her arms against the back of it.
"Go ahead. Now how bout that moonstone?" Katherine asks with a raised eyebrow. Stefan and Damon glance at each other which only causes Cassandra to roll her eyes.
"Just give it to her. Us. Whatever." Cassandra groans as she wanted to face plant or throw something, do anything other than be stuck with these three for even one more minute.
"Why did you throw me across the room?" Katherine asks her friend with a pout causing Cassandra to glance over at her, not even knowing the reason herself.
"Felt like it." She says bluntly with a shrug of her shoulders. Stefan and Damon couldn't help but smirk at her answer as Katherine scrunches up her nose. She wasn't mad at Cassandra though, it was hardly a blip on the scale of things they had done to each other.
"The four of us together just like old times. My best friend, the brother who loved me too much and the one that didn't love me enough." Katherine lists as she glances from one brother to the other. Stefan only rolls his eyes as he continues to try and think of the reason why Katherine wanted to moonstone so badly.
"And the evil, slut vampire who loved herself." He states bluntly and Cassandra tried to hold back her laughter at Damon's description of the girl. Katherine sent a light glare her way but she didn't pay any mind to it.
"What happened to you, Damon? You used to be so sweet and polite." Katherine asks with a pout on her face, playing with the stake in her hand. Cassandra was sitting bored next to her, not seeing how any of this antagonizing one another was helping any of them.
"Oh, that Damon died a long time ago." He informs the girl who only smirks at him. Damon only glances over to the other girl who simply gives him a small smile and he could tell it was genuine.
"Good. He was a bore." She replies with a roll of her eyes. Stefan seemed to be getting just as annoyed at their constant bickering as Cassandra had been but had actually decided to speak up on it.
"Oh, why don't you two stop antagonizing each other." Stefan pleads as he turns to face his brother and the Petrova doppelganger. Katherine only meets his eyes, squinting her eyes a little.
"Where's the moonstone?" She asks, not really in a questioning tone, more demanding because she was sick of the games already. Katherine just wanted to get the moonstone and leave.
"What do you want with it?" Stefan asks bluntly, not taking anymore of her vague answers. He wanted to know the truth and that's all he asked for.
"None of your business." Cassandra answers for her in a annoyed tone. They all glance at the girl, seeing her restless state.
"Does Elena enjoy have the both of you worship at her alter?" Katherine asks with a smirk playing on her lips. She knew she hit them both in a deep place.
"This is depressing. I'll be over there." Cassandra tells them before getting up off of the couch and walking into the seperate room that Damon and been hiding in minutes before. She had felt her phone vibrating all night but she already knew who was texting her.
Cassandra let me explain.
I'm going to come find you.
You aren't at your apartment.
Cassandra read over the texts her eyebrows raised at the lengths he took to talk to her. He genuinely did want to explain, she knew that much it was just the question of if she wanted to listen to him or not.
Leave me alone, Elijah. I don't want to talk.
Cassandra leans against the wall knowing it wasn't the end of their conversation even if she wanted it to be. Elijah was like this back when they first met and it hadn't changed one bit. Feeling her phone buzz again, she lifts it up reading the message.
Let me explain.
She groans, rubbing her face knowing Elijah was not going to stop asking until she answered. Cassandra licks her lips, staring at her phone deciding on what to do before she started to type her message.
Give me a couple days.
Cassandra just needed to clear her head of it all. Get her mind straight so that she could think straight. So that she could decide if she could really trust Elijah or not. Cassandra knewΒ Elijah would respect her wishes if she really thought about it, which was the only reason he was still bothering her. Wanting to know if she was positive.
As you wish. But we are talking soon.
As Cassandra reenters the room, she notices Katherine standing by the window as Damon was opening one of the glass jars of what she only assumed was some cheap ass bourbon. Katherine notices this and turns to face the Salvatore. "Ooh, I'll have one of those." Katherine demands with a seductive smile on her lips. Damon rolls his eyes as he finishes pouring the alcohol into the glass.
"Right away, miss Katherine." He mimicks a girly voice as he raises the glass for Katherine to gladly take. Just as she is about to take a sip, Damon speeds her over to the wall, holding her against it making the glass fall from her hand and shatter against the floor. He had a stake raised ready to stab her in the heart. Luckily, Stefan had grabbed his arm to stop him from doing anything further.
"Damon, don't." Stefan tells his brother who only glares at the Petrova. Katherine only smirks at the raven haired vampire, awaiting the boy to do anything.
"Yes, Damon please." She teases with a chuckle as Damon leans closer to her, a deadly expression on his face.
"The second this spell is lifted, I'm gonna drive this stake right through your heart." Damon threatens as Katherine only raises her eyebrows at him. Cassandra didn't bother to try and interfere because it was clear that Stefan would never let that happen since if Katherine died so does the love of his life.
"God, you're hot. When did you get so hot?" Katherine asks seductively as she grabs his tie, moving her hands down it. Damon only pulls away from the girl, a growl escaping his lips.
"Katherine? The spell in this room has been broken, you're free to leave." A voice pipes up causing them to turn their heads only to see Lucy enter the room. Cassandra sighs in relief, ready to go home and have a better drink than the alcohol they had served tonight.
"Thank god." Katherine mutters with a roll of her eyes as she makes her way over to the witch who holds the moonstone up, pulling it away from the vampire's grasp as she tries to grab it.
"When I hand this over, my debt to you is over." Lucy tells Katherine who nods her head at the request, holding out her hand.
"Done." She replies quickly, just wanting the moonstone already which Lucy held up in her hand. Cassandra could easily vamp speed to get it but messing with a witch wasn't on her list for tonight.
"I owe you nothing." Lucy says again as she tilts her head. Cassandra didn't know why she was stating the same fact over again but it was finally done. They got the moonstone.
"I said done. Give it." Katherine sneers as she holds out her hand, her eyebrows raised waiting for Lucy to hand it over.
"I wouldn't do that." Damon warns the witch who simply glances over at him before placing the moonstone in Katherine's hand. Katherine smirks before she suddenly starts gasping. Cassandra confusingly stared at the Petrova who started to grip her throat.
"You should have told me another witch was involved." Lucy hisses at Katherine who falls to the ground, still unable to breath. It then clicked in Cassandra's brain, Lucy had spelled the moonstone somehow to take down Katherine. "She's a Bennett witch, Katherine. But I'm sure you knew that." She adds with a glare clear on her face. Cassandra didn't expect this turn of events, especially since she was supposed to walk off with the moonstone but now it seemed it was going to get stuck with Katherine. Which wasn't the worst thing in the world for her.
"Wait, Elena--" Stefan projects but Lucy immediately cuts him off as she shakes her head. Cassandra rolls her eyes a little at the Salvatore.
"Elena's fine. The spell is broken, she'll heal quickly. Bonnie's with her." Lucy informs them as they all watch Katherine slip into unconsciousness. A smirk forms on both of the brothers lips as they glance at the witch standing before them. "I apologize for my involvement." She tells them before leaving the room. Cassandra leans against the wall, watching Katherine's lifeless body laying on the ground.
"You gonna fight us for the body?" Stefan asks with a raised eyebrow as he looks over at Cassandra who glances between the two brothers. She honestly didn't feel like fighting anymore, if they wanted Katherine they could have her.
"What are you doing with it?" Cassandra asks curiously, just making sure they weren't going to stake her when they took her body. Damon tilts his head, debating his options.
"Put her in the tomb where she was meant to be." He suggests with a shrug of his shoulders in which Stefan agrees. A sigh leaves Cassandra's lips as she nods her head.
"Go ahead. I don't care." Cassandra tells them with a light smile, moving her head to stare at her feet. Stefan wanted to know why she didn't help Katherine fight, they would've won if she did.
"You didn't fight us, why?" He asks as he stares at the girl who was trying so hard to just relax.
"I'm tired of fighting. I just want it to be over." Cassandra admits as she rubs her face a little. Stefan only stares at her suspiciously, not buying the whole act one bit.
"For what to be over?" Damon asks curiously seeing the girls exhaustion. She wasn't sleepy, she was just exhausted after five centuries of never being able to stop.
"Later." She mutters as she stares down at Katherine's body again for a moment. Cassandra felt bad for leaving the girl's fate in the hands of the Salvatore's but she was tired and never even wanted to go to the stupid masquerade ball anyways. Cassandra glances at the brother's once more before disappearing into the night, leaving Damon and Stefan to deal with the body of Katherine who was going to wake up soon enough. Waking up as the safest psychotic bitch in town.

CASSANDRA WAS STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF HER LIVING ROOM, a glass of bourbon in her hand as she stared into her fireplace. Some part of her was relieved that Katherine was trapped in the tomb. She was causing too much attention and it was not good for her attempt to hide from Klaus.
She wasn't stupid. She knew she couldn't run from Klaus forever but she was going to try like hell. Klaus was never rude to her, he didn't even get angry often. Only if she left without his permission but even then it wasn't a drastic change in his attitude. His siblings got most of his anger since half of them had daggers in their hearts by now.
Klaus's side of the story was much different then Cassandra's. He didn't know why she would suddenly betray him like that. Klaus has spent the past five hundred years trying to figure it out, asking Elijah to help him seek her out. But they had a falling out because he knew that Elijah had been secretly hiding her from him. Not to mention, Elijah wanted his own brother dead. Klaus had loved Cassandra with all of his heart, even after he thought he was incapable of it. He thought they would be together for all of eternity until everything went horribly wrong. Cassandra had set Katherine free and ran off with the moonstone. Klaus was furious when it had happened and was furious with the two women but all he wanted was to at least learn the reason for Cassandra's betrayal. He had even tried to get into her head using witches but they couldn't find the right memory. Klaus had heard stories of his love, the once innocent soul who felt anguish and remorse everytime she killed was now a ruthless killer who's temper acted up if you ever crossed her even in the slightest. He had also heard of her secret rendezvous with a certain vampire but he had not learned the name of the man yet.
Klaus was determined to get the love of his life back, no matter what it took. He would even give up doing his sacrifice for her, he would give anything for her to be his again. Klaus knew it had to be something bad since she hit him where it would make him suffer the most, making him wait five more centuries for the curse to be broken. But he couldn't remember ever hurting the girl in anyway.
Cassandra turns her head to the door where a knock was heard. She lets out a sigh as she downs the remaining contents of her glass before placing it on the table. Cassandra walks over to the door, opening it, only to be met with Damon Salvatore who was still wearing his suit. On the contrary, she hadn't gotten out of her dress yet since she wanted to have a drink.
She raises an eyebrow at the Salvatore, unable to think of a reason why he would even show up at her place. Damon didn't know why he went to Cassandra, maybe it was the eternal relief and amazement that he had solved both the Mason and the Katherine problem. Or maybe it was because Elena was trying to rub her love for Stefan in his nose again since he saw the two talking by the river an hour prior.
"Is the offer still standing?" Damon questions as he stands in front of the woman. Cassandra took a minute to remember what exactly she offered the younger vampire until a smirk forms on her lips. He was talking about her one time offer to have sex since god knows they both needed it. To get everything out of their system and to stop thinking of their love lives.
Cassandra playfully thinks about it for a minute before she shrugs her shoulders, grabbing the collar of Damon's dress shirt and roughly connecting their lips together. Damon internally thanked her, wanting some time to get his head clear. He let his hands grip her hips as he kicks the door closed with his foot, scrunching her dress up a little. Cassandra rips the mans shirt open, placing kisses down his chest before Damon grabs her hair, aggressively pulling it back so her neck was exposed. Damon let his lips leave open mouthed kisses down her neck, earning a satisfied noise from the raven haired girl. He vamp speeds them to the wall, Cassandra slamming against it as she held the back of Damon's head as he continued to move lower. Damon grabs at her thighs, picking her up causing her to wrap her legs around his waist. He bunches her dress around her hips, allowing his hands access to more of her skin. Cassandra couldn't help the moan that escaped her mouth as Damon's hands found their ways towards her panties.
Cassandra pulls his head back before kissing him again, allowing him to speed them to her bedroom, a lamp crashing to the floor in the process. Damon lets her go abruptly before turning her around so her front was pressed up against the wall, her hands planted on it. He rips the back of her dress open, letting it fall to the floor before pulling her back against his body, allowing his hands to roam over all of her exposed skin.
Cassandra breathes heavily as she could feel the obvious bulge pressed against her backside. She turns back around to face him, seeing the lust and hunger in his eyes which no doubting was the same for her. She speeds them to the bed, straddling Damon's hips as she crashes her lips down onto his once again, her hands fiddling with his belt as she rubbed him a little.
The rest of the night was filled only with immense pleasure and hunger for each other. No thoughts about everything that has been going on. No thoughts about their train wreck of a love life. Cassandra didn't think of neither Elijah or Klaus for once and Damon had completely forgotten of Elena. Their minds were only set on the steamy sex they were having in Cassandra's bedroom.
And boy were they glad to have made that decision.
