The next day I woke up to the shining sun carefully heating my room. My mouth was dry and I felt like I had been lost in the desert for days without water or rest.

I couldn't understand why I was so tired, but I had to think about that later. Right now I needed to get some juice or some water, anything liquid before I pass out from dehydration or overheating.

The moment I step through the door and went downstairs I felt the heat that was just as hot as my room. I thought I was going to lose my mind or that I was losing my mind as when I got downstairs the living room was full of girls.

"Look who finally decided to wake up!" Menma teased as he stretched his limbs in the loveseat, throwing his hand over Hinata's shoulder.

"Am I dreaming?" I mumbled.

"Dreaming? You dream about a room full of hot girls as well?!" He asked, earning a glare from the other girls.

"Menma, shut up!" Mom, Naruko and all the girls said, after squinting my eyes a bit I recognized that they were their friends, or rather our friends.

Can I consider them my friends?

"Good afternoon sweetie, how are you feeling?" Mom asked.

"I'm fine, just really thirsty and a bit tired."

"I figured. After all the excitement last night I excepted one of you to sleep in today, and the heat really is crazy today. There's some lemonade in the fridge, help yourself to some." She advised me.

"Thank you."

"Mom! Don't change the subject now!" Naruko cried as I walked past all of them and went into the kitchen. I realized that Hinata was there and she was watching me, I'm not sure why, but it freaked me out a bit, then again everything she does is kind of weird to me and then there was Sakura who waved at me.

I shyly waved back as I hadn't seen her since the Sasuke incident so I felt kind of weird.

"I said no, Naruko. I don't like the idea of it." Mom reinforced. "Your father is at work and I want you all to stay home today for when he gets back."

"Yeah, but it's so hot today, and it'll be just me and my friends so there's nothing to worry about."

"Will there be adult supervision?" Mom asked.

"..."

"I can take that as a no?"

"No! Um, Sakura and Hinata will be there and they're the moms of the group so they'll supervise." She tried.

"Yeah, that's a no for me." Mom concluded.

"But why?" Naruko cried.

"Because you'll be partying near a body of water in one of your friend's home, but I don't want you or your brothers to mess up their houses, also you're all kids and shouldn't be left alone without adult supervision in case of an emergency." Mom explained.

"We're old enough to take care of ourselves mom, and we're all actually quite responsible. Plus, it'll be at Ino's house and her mother is VERY strict when it comes to her home." Naruko explained.

"Is that so?"

"Yeah, she's right my mom has very strict policies when it comes to having friends over, Mrs Uzumaki." Ino added.

"..." Mom pursed her lips while standing her ground and look at all of them. "Fine, but please remember you have school bright and early tomorrow so be back before seven, and do nothing that you know will make me upset."

All the girls cheered along with Menma who's voice was at the top of the noises being made, though Mom found it amusing. I thought a day by the pool would be great, even though I'm not going. It just wouldn't make any sense to me.

All these girls plus Menma, they were all pretty much coupled up and I'd just be a major third wheel, not to mention Kiba would be there and I don't think I can face him just yet.

I can already imagine all the positions he's had Kankuro in and it's honestly not making me feel any better.

"Alright! You all have fun, I'll see you all when you get back." I yelled to make them stop all the yelling.

"Hm? What you're not going?" Mom asked.

"No, I'm feeling tired. I'll just sleep in a bit more and help you out with anything you need around the house." I lied.

"Oh, well I've already cleaned everything so you might as well just get some rest then, but don't sleep too long, okay?" She advised me.

"I won't, thanks." I finished before heading back upstairs and laying on my heat mat of a bed.

I thought it was mean of me to not to go out with them as they're my siblings and my friends, but given the circumstances between me and Kiba right now I don't think it's a good idea for me to be around them if he will be there.

A little space never hurt anyone after all and I'm sure after a few days of not seeing each other maybe things will smooth themselves out.

I don't know how that'll work out for school, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

I went up to my room, closed the door and plopped face first onto my bed, probably wasn't a good idea as it was still as hot as the concrete outside. But I didn't even have time to react as I heard my door being open and closed again.

"What the hell are you doing?" A stern voice came from my door, startling me as I looked up to see Ino leaning against it with her arms folded over her chest.

"..."

"I'm talking to you." She clarified.

"What are you talking about?" I asked in complete confusion.

"You know what I'm talking about. The house is hot and you get the chance to come and cool off and you chose not to come because you're tired?"

"Yeah..."

"That's bullshit." She whispered before walking over to my bed and sitting on the edge.

I sat there in complete confusion as to why she was in my room and also where did Menma and Naruko really find these friends.

"Ino..."

"Look, I don't want to beat around the bush here. So just go get ready, pack some extra clothes to get wet in and meet us downstairs in less than ten minutes." She ordered.

"Pfft just who are you talking too?" I scoffed.

"My friend, who I'm about to drag out this house by his balls if he doesn't come to my pool party hangout."

"Why should-"

"We all know that you don't want to go because of Kiba." She stated without even letting me finish my question.

"..."

"..." She widen her eyes while shaking her head as we stared at each other for a brief silent moment.

"Kiba? Why-Why would you say something like that?"

"Naruto, we all already know you and Kiba were involved romantically, well except Naruko and Menma."

"It wasn't romantic!"

"..." She smirked.

"It was just a simple...procedure." I replied, not really knowing what it was myself.

"If that's what you call friends with benefits then go at it."

"We weren't friends with benefits. We were just friends who comforted each other in our times of curiosity."

"Right... What would you call you and Sasuke then?" She asked.

"..."

"Are we getting somewhere?" She smirked.

"So what are you gonna do, bribe me now?"

"Uh no! Don't think so little of me. What I am going to do is advise you to come to this party though because truthfully you can't try avoiding him."

"How did you know I was doing that?"

"I guessed, you lack friends before so what better option of getting rid of inconveniences than just cutting all of them off, right?"

"I don't lack friends."

"Not anymore, which why you can't have this minor issue and Kiba affect what you've gained. Yes we're his friends too, but if we didn't like you then we wouldn't deal with you, like at all. Especially given the fact that you're sleeping with my best friend's boyfriend."

"Oh my Kaguya! Can you be anymore of a know it all?!" I sighed while shushing her to keep her voice down.

"Haha everyone knows about it. Well, Sakura knows about the Kiba part, but not the Sasuke part and your siblings don't know about either parts, but that's besides the point."

"..."

"Well, actually Menma and Naruko don't know about either except Sasuke being a cheater and Kiba being bicurious."

"What?!"

"Anyway, the point is that we're your friends as much as we are Kiba's and he personally wouldn't want us to have anything against you on his behalf because that's not our vibe, unless it's Sasuke then it's a unanimous dislike with the exception of Sakura, and I guess now you."

"Alright, I get it."

"So that means you're coming!" She beamed.

"Nope." I replied before laying back down in bed.

"What? Why?"

"Because, it's more than just me avoiding Kiba. It's a lot deeper than that. What he wants from me is something that I can't give him and Kankuro already has, given the life he has with his family, I'd just be another burden to him, I don't want to see him like that."

"Do you think he wants to see you not having friends, essentially meaning he's a burden to you?"

"..."

"You know I never quite understood how Sasuke always managed to get everything he wanted to the point where those who are so into him, their way of thinking is just fucked up and distorted. I get that whatever it is that you can't give him is hard for you but Kiba is the type of guy who will literally wait a lifetime for those he cares about."

"I know."

"Since you do, then you should probably also know that whatever you somehow managed to do to make him leave you alone and fall into Kankuro's hands must've pretty hard for him as well."

"..."

"In regards to that, I don't think that what he has with Kankuro is truthful and judging by what Temari told me last night. Kiba has all eyes for you and you do too, but you stop yourself for whatever reason you seem to have as a reason."

"..."

"Okay?"

"You really think that?"

"Of course! Besides he's known Kankuro for a while now and he's never started any type of boy on boy action with him, or any other guy for that matter, but then you come along and he's just all of a sudden smitten about dick."

"..."

"Not to brag about you being that bitch, but you are that bitch."

We laughed together as I thought about it a bit more in depth and she was right. I remember how Kiba and I used to interact a few months ago and how we've been recently, there's a distinct change in him when he's around me.

He makes me feel like I'm all that matters with how much he pushed for us to be friends and how he pushed for his friends to be my friends, despite everything he just always managed to push me first.

That guy really did think of other people before himself.

"Then if that's the case, why do you think he's with Kankuro?"

"I'm not sure, maybe it's to make you miss him or realize something...or to make you jealous." She analyzed.

"Jealous?"

"Yeah, don't bother telling me you aren't jealous. As a matter of fact I'm willing to bet that you are, double it with that you both are jealous."

"The both of us?"

"Yeah! I bet if you had a guy and threw him into the equation then Kiba wouldn't be too happy."

"I don't think I like the sound of that bet. Plus I can't have another guy apart from you know who and it's a bit sticky among the three of us now. Besides Kiba is just a friends to me."

"A friend that you think is hot. And it would actually be the four of you, you forgot Sakura, or is it five, if you include Lee."

"Let's not get into that right now..."

"Too bad, hurry up and pack your stuff and meet us in five minutes." She instructed before pulling out her phone and exiting the room.

"Wait! What are you doing?" I asked just before she was about to walk out the door.

"Calling my boyfriend of course. This bet isn't going to plan itself." She smiled before winking at me and leaving me all alone.

"Ino! Wait-"

I wonder why she was calling her boyfriend, but also DID I JUST AGREE TO MAKE A BET WITH INO?!
