Being social wasn't quite your thing. There was only one person you had met on the streets who you felt like talking to, and that was Crutchy. He was friendly, kind, and sweet. He never pushed you to say more than you wanted to, and didnt ask about your past. He was great! But, he always encouraged you to meet the other newsies and move into the lodge so you weren't on the streets. You always backed out, but times were tough, and with his support, you met them. It went way smoother that you imagined and you actually felt accepted.
