"NO! FUCK!" LORELAI EXCLAIMED. She groaned and moved her mouse back to the 'open loot box' button on the bottom of her screen.

For the past hour and a half she had been opening Overwatch loot boxes on stream with her chat. She was already burnt out from editing for the majority of the day, but knowing she needed to get out some content, she decided to have a chill stream to open the loot boxes she had piling up on her Overwatch account. Six hundred eighteen. There were six hundred eighteen loot boxes for her to open.

To make it not the most boring stream in existence, Lorelai had let the chat give her a goal. Someone offered to donate three hundred dollars if Lorelai could get the 'precisely' voiceline in one of her loot boxes. It wasn't a special line or anything, just a random one she hadn't gotten before. To make the challenge even harder, she had to get it within one hundred boxes of starting. Unfortunately, she was down to her last five and still had not gotten the line yet.

"Do we need Edgar for luck?" She laughed, turning to her chat to get their input on the situation. A surge of 'yes' came through, so Lorelai stood up and headed towards the door of her bedroom.

Meanwhile, her stream chat was beginning to fly off the rails.

Lorelai, completely oblivious to the guest on her stream, walked into Felix's office where the man sat scrolling through Reddit for good content. His camera was on, but based on his silence, he was going to cut this part out anyways.

"Can I take Edgar?" She asked, gesturing to the dog chilling in Felix's left arm.

He nodded, passing Lorelai the pug without another word. She left his office, stroking Edgar's head as she walked back into her bedroom. Her door creaked as it opened and she winced at the hideous noise. Maybe she could look up how to fix that soon.

"I'm back, chat," Lorelai said, sitting down and cradling Edgar in her arms. "Woah, what happened?"

"Corpse is here?" Lorelai read out loud. "Hi, Corpse!"

Her mind starting racing. Why was Corpse on her stream? She wasn't doing anything interesting. Did he really take time out of his day to click on her stream? He had to have better things to do than to sit down and watch a Danish girl yell at loot boxes on Overwatch.

Lorelai clicked on the 'open loot box' button again, "what are you doing here? My chat isn't exactly the funniest."

Lorelai scrunched her nose up in annoyance as her loot box proved itself useless. "Well, you picked a boring stream to tune in on."

Once again she clicked the button and watched as the box flew up into the air before crashing back down and spilling out its goods. One skin and three sprays; there was no 'precisely' voiceline.

"Mkay, Corpse, Eds, give me all your luck for these last three," Lorelai requested, looking down at the dog in her lap before checking her chat for Corpse's reply.

The first box was unsurprisingly profitless. With her spirits dampened and her expectations decreasing exponentially, Lorelai clicked on the button again, holding Edgar tighter in her arms. She needed that money. Felix and Marzia may be letting her live with them for free, but she still had an apartment back in Munich that she was paying for. She wasn't poor, but all money helped, especially when she wanted to start paying Felix and Marzia for letting her live with them. Lorelai felt like a parasite the longer she lived with them—like she wasn't supposed to be there without paying.

The second box was also unhelpful. She could hear the voiceline in the back of her mind; it was taunting her, making sure she knew she'd never get it. Lorelai planted a kiss on top of Edgar's head and clicked the button again, hoping with all her might that she would get it.

"Oh my god! Yes!" She exclaimed, frightening Edgar and causing him to jump off her lap. "We did it, chat!"

Lorelai bent down and picked up Edgar again, hugging him close to her chest. "I was honestly not expecting us to get it, that was such good timing too."

"Corpse!" Lorelai laughed. "How about a quarter of the credit? I get half and you and Edgar split the other half."

There was ten seconds without a reply as Lorelai imagined he thought over her deal.

Another yawn could be heard from Lorelai over their call; it was three fifteen in the morning for her, and for once in her life she actually felt tired. Sykunno smiled as he continued to mine out the coal he found in his Minecraft world. Sleepy Lorelai had always been his favorite version of the girl. Not in a weird way—Sykkuno just thought she seemed happier and more relaxed when she was tired. Delirious Lorelai would come in at a close second in terms of how much Sykkuno liked her; delirious Lorelai was like a whole different person and some of the funniest things Sykkuno had ever experienced were with a delirious Lorelai.

"I watched the video about you and Corpse earlier," Sykkuno said.

"Did you?" Lorelai asked, her words slurring together slightly.

Sykkuno nodded for his chat to see. "Yeah, it was pretty funny."

"Rae found it before I did," Lorelai said. Some rustling could be heard from her end of the call and Sykkuno presumed she was rolling over in her bed. "She sent me it before it had even hit one mill and laughed at me while I was just so confused."

"That sounds like Rae," Sykkuno commented.

Lorelai hummed in agreement. "The creator really stretched to make it. And the clickbait, oh my God. How did they get ten minutes of content from Corpse sending like ten messages in my Twitch chat?"

"Some fans just have a skill for it," Sykkuno laughed.

"I'm not sure if I need to do anything about it," Lorelai admitted. Sykkuno frowned slightly. She'd never share anything about her career and social standards if she weren't low on sleep. "Corpse commented on my tweet on my alt but I don't know if we need to talk about it or something. I haven't asked what he thinks about it yet."

Sykkuno furrowed his eyebrows. "Lorelai, you remember I'm streaming, right?"

Silence filled her end of the call.

"Lorelai, get some sleep, alright?" Sykkuno suggested.

"Chat, I wish I could talk to you during games," Lorelai said as she did the wires in admin. "I feel so estranged from you all during games. I like being able to talk to you all and see what you're saying. There could be an issue with my stream or something and I'd never know."

The task pop up closed and she left admin.

"Like, I understand why I can't, but like this week, for example, I've mostly been doing Among Us streams so it feels more isolated than usual," she continued. "Among Us in and of itself isn't a very social game either. Like, sure, we talk during meetings, but when I'm just running around doing tasks it's just me."

Silence.

"Chat, I miss you!"

The dead body reported screen popped up and Lorelai took her hands off her keyboard to lean back in her seat. Finally. Some fucking social interaction.

Only Lorelai, Corpse, and Fuslie were left, and Fuslie was already screaming in Lorelai's headset that it was Corpse. Lorelai winced, raising a hand up to her headset reflexively but not turning down its volume.

"Lorelai, you have to believe me! It's Corpse!" Fuslie screamed. The discussion time remaining countdown disappeared and Fuslie voted almost immediately. "Corpse! Corpse killed in front of me."

"I-, uhm...," Lorelai stuttered. "I don't know! Do either of you have proof?"

"I saw him kill!" Fuslie exclaimed. "Is that not proof enough?"

Lorelai bit her lip nervously. "Well, what if you're lying?"

"I'm not!"

"Uhm, okay, Corpse do you have proof it was Fuslie?" Lorelai asked.

It went silent. Lorelai scrunched her eyebrows together out of confusion and tilted her head to the side. Fearing that maybe she had fucked her volume, she pushed the dial on her headset to make it louder. No result. Was it her Discord perhaps?

"Lorelai... princess... come on now."

Fuck me.

"I— ah, uhm..."

Had he just? Did he just say that? Had Corpse really called her princess? Lorelai's brain felt like it was short circuiting—she couldn't get out any words. No one had ever called her princess before, and no one knew that she would immediately melt if someone ever called her princess. Not only had someone just called her princess, but it had been Corpse fucking Husband, a guy literally known for how hot his voice is.

Her cheeks had to be red as fuck. She needed to say something other than the involuntary word vomit she had previously produced. Why couldn't she function like a regular human being anymore?

"O-okay," she stammered, moving her mouse up to Fuslie's name and confirming her vote on her.

"Lorelai! No!"

Corpse voted right after her, and Fuslie got ejected. Lorelai's screen went dark and the word defeat flashed red above Corpse and Tina's avatars.

"Lorelai! What happened?" The girl heard as all the dead people unmuted.

"I don't know," she replied, her voice soft and quiet amidst all the yelling.

Rae's high pitched laugh floated through the call. "Corpse, calling Lorelai princess gives you too much power over her."

Lorelai weakly nodded before shoving her face into her hands. She muted herself and let out a long groan before unmuting again. That was going to be clipped. That was one hundred percent going to be clipped and posted everywhere.

"I'm sorry, Lorelai," Corpse said. Everyone could hear the smile in his words. "Would you like a different pet name, darling?"

If he kept talking like that, Lorelai was simply going to sink into the floor and wait for the ground to swallow her whole.

"Princess is fine," she managed to reply.

"Wonderful," Corpse mused.

Lorelai couldn't bring herself to stutter out a response.
