His rectangular face, square jaw and long cheekbones. He has short cut, slightly scruffy dark hair, and dark blue eyes that are soulful and serious, but also strangely gentle. He is tall, standing at 6'3", and slimly built. Over the years of manual labour at home, he has some muscle definition. His forearms are surprisingly muscular, given the stretched out form of the rest of his body. He is darkly handsome, but also has a boyish look and quite soulful.

As for markings/piercings etc, he has a pierced left ear, and a thin scar going from the base of his cheek to under his chin, which isn't noticeable until up close.

He has a crucifix tattooed on the side of his right ribcage, and the words 'opre Roma' (arise Roma, a Romani Slogan) tattooed on the top of his left pectoral.

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘:
Will has always been an introverted, solitary figure. He is not so much shy, but rather someone that frequently prefers peace and quiet to the relentless confusions and conflict that social life brings. He is actually quite self assured, and has a stillness to him that some people find intimidating. He is an outsider, and someone who is comfortable being on the periphery.

A lot of people would say that Will is pretty intense at first. He often doesn't say much, rarely smiles, and has this dark, brooding stare. The truth is, Will is very cautious with trusting people. He only has a handful of friends that he feels comfortable being himself around. To everyone else, he is pretty closed off. Will feels as though he is shy, but to others it doesn't really come across that way. He's just closed-off and aloof.

Will is perceptive and very observant. He prefers to watch and listen first before he acts. I would emphasise that Will is not the kind of guy who is 'dark and mysterious' to attract girls or attention. He's not really like that at all underneath, and not much of a flirt either. He can be rather proud, and if he thinks you are making fun of him or where he comes from, he can be very standoffish.

Will is smart, but no one would really describe him as 'intellectual'. Sure, he is incredibly hard working, but he's not the kind of guy who's personality is "He ReADs bOoKS". His intelligence lies more in his ability to read people and situations, and to understand them. It's the unassuming kind of intelligence, the kind that people never get credit for.

Although he can be quite intense, and often hard on himself, Will is a free spirit. He values freedom from constraints, he says its in his blood. He loves being out in nature, doing what he wishes, and being autonomous. He likes to do things his own way, and not follow the trends of all the people around him. He doesn't need them to bass his success from.

Although he can be standoffish, once you get to know him, Will is generous and kind. He is incredibly understanding, and has this ability to understand everyone's problems if they go about it the right way. He is brave and self sacrificing, but not in a flashy way. He is comfortable with who he is and doesn't like show offs. The truth is, Will is a very good friend to those few he trusts. He will be there for you in your times of need, even if he doesn't give himself time to heal.

Will has always struggled with dealing with his emotions. He keeps them locked away, and can become quite self destructive as a result. He never shares his burdens, and his inner torment can become quite a lot sometimes. He needs to learn to open up, and not be so hard on himself. It's ok to have the feelings he is experiencing.

Among his friends, Will is actually a very funny guy. Sure, he's not the loud outrageous kind of funny, but he knows how to make people laugh. He has a very dry sense of humour, and can send the whole room in to fits of giggles without so much cracking a smile, if he doesn't want to. It's a rare gift, and one that he constantly surprises people with. Will is, after all, full of surprises and a character with much hidden depth.

Will is an outsider both in the Traveller community because a). He is half Gorja, and b). he goes to school with Gorjas, rather than being homeschooled. He is an outsider from the non-traveller society because he is a Romani Traveller and from a lower class family, who have been trampled on and marginalised since the beginning of their history in Britain in the 16th century.

Will's father is a Dutch-British salesman who met his mother when she was young. They had a passionate and short affair, and Bas took off when he got wind that Masilda was pregnant. He still occasionally visits to see his son, but he does not want permanent part in the family.

Will grew up in a tight knit group of Travellers, living in Caravans called Vardo Wagons as the group moved around the country while the adults looked for work. Will was always treated with a little snobbery amongst his fellow travellers, because of his 'diddicoy' (half-traveller) status. It was at this age he learnt resilience and how to stand up for himself. He fought it at first, but he now knows how to deal with it now.

That does not mean he accepts anti-traveller racism. He doesn't. It makes his blood boil. At school, he first went when he was 13 (having been homeschooled prior) he felt like a total outsider. It took a long time for him to make friends with anyone, and for a long time he hated everything about it. Things improved when he slowly made friends, and he stopped worrying about being such an outsider. he is comfortable with a small bit solid group of friends. He preferred his older years at school because it allowed him more freedom to do what he wanted with his time, rather than being policed.

Romani life is family oriented, and Will's family unit is tight knit. His mother is the head of the family, and keeps them together. Will is the eldest son and the two are quite close, but he feels a bit estranged given that Danny (his mother's new husband) isn't his father.

Bas is largely absent, as he is not a Romani Traveller. Bas visits his son on occasion, but it's rarely extensive as Bas is a busy man. Will definitely feels resentment towards him as he wishes they could be a proper family, and part of him hates his dad for being a Gorja, and leaving his mum, but part of him also seeks his approval

Hedgehogs are revered, but not really practical as a pet. He would keep horses if he could, but you can't at Hogwarts so he only has them at home with his wagon

I would say he's an INFJ-A, but he is also aware of the struggles of life that he is not overly idealistic. But he does strive for the good.

Will never thought Quidditch was his thing until one day at the end of 5th year when a couple of his friends dared him to turn up to a Ravenclaw open play day (not trials, but when people who aren't on the team can have a fun game together with the Captain and a few others) after he lost a bet. It was supposed to be embarrassing, because Will hadn't played since 1st year lessons.

And yet he caught the eye of the Captain, who said he was the most natural player she'd ever seen. He's been in the team for 2 years know. I reckon he would make a good keeper, if not a seeker or chaser. But not a beater.

- Will, if you hadn't noticed, is a British Romanichal. British romanichals tend not to be dark skinned, but often look the same as the rest of the British population. They are no less authentic than their Kalderash cousins, just because their skin is different
- Will speaks fluent Anglo-Romani, a heavily english incfluenced Roma dialect. Words he'd use often are 'Gorja' which is a pejorative term describing non-Travellers, Kushti, which means good, Gavver (police), Div (mad) and more
