Summary: Being Caius’ child and finding your mate who happens to be a werewolf.
“No, no, you cannot do this to me. I refuse!” You could only beg your father Caius. He made no attempt to free you as you were being dragged by his Volturi guards. You shot a desperate look of plea at Demetri, who has been your friend for an eternity. “Demetri, please!”
The tracker, same as your father, didn't stop as they arrested you in the dungeons before leaving to bring over Corin along with Felix, not before sending you a sorry look. Traitor, you thought to yourself. Nothing more could be expected from a Volturi guard after all besides their obsessive dedication towards their duties. “Father!” You screamed at Caius who was now accompanied by Aro and Marcus both.
“Please, I wish to see him…” You begged the tall blonde man who fathered you. For once, you hoped that he would use his heart for the ailment of yours. His jaw only clenched as he observed you with silent disdain.
Knowing he wasn’t the one to budge, you sobbed harder, pathetically. Tears of venom spilling from your black eyes. You looked up at Marcus. “Please! You were the one to tell me that he belongs to me. Then how can you watch me be separated, kept away from my own mate?!” You questioned him. It was unfair. It was blasphemy, a heinous sin committed to all the Gods you wished to accuse.
The ravenette could only offer you a pitiful glance, all too aware of his position to interfere between you and your father. Though, Aro spoke up. And you wished he didn’t.
“My dear, you ought to stay loyal to the Volturi. That would extend to your obedience to your father’s order,” He gave you that sickening sweet smile which made you want to rip his head off. “Otherwise, there might be certain consequences which I hope for you to not face.” He drifted off slowly before looking at your father. As they both exchanged a certain look that had you tensed up. What were they planning?
“Fuck the Volturi…” You hissed quietly. Grip tightening on the bars of the cell made of werewolf bones. “I want my mate only. I wish to stay happy with him. And I will not allow you to have that privilege stolen from me!” You stood up as you shouted at them. Thereby, declaring yourself as a traitor to your coven. Caius, Marcus and Aro watched you in silence but you did not back down. “Have me released. And I shall never bother any of you. I only want him. Let me leave...” You tried to convince them with peace. Mostly looking at Caius, your father. “I wish to see him…”
Crimson eyes turned onyx at your view. “Unlock the gate for my child,” He said and two lower ranked guards unlocked the cell. “I shall take you to see your mate then.” His cold hand brushed your cheek lightly once you got out of the cell. This is what you wanted, for your father to understand you. Giving him a desperate smile to see your mate. Nothing could amount to the sheer amount of gratefulness you felt at that moment.
Though, Marcus’ expression darkened. Something that you didn’t notice.
Soon enough, you were brought to the throne room and you saw him. Even if your heart had no flutter anymore but at the sight of your mate, it would surely burst out of your chest.
His scent was nothing like you had werewolves to possess. He didn’t smell like a wet dog but rather some nice cologne and delicious blood that made your throat burn to taste. He was hauntingly beautiful and you wanted him to ruin you. Realizing how mesmerized you were at the sight of him, you straightened beside your father. Your eyes narrowed at how Felix and Afton were holding him as your mate tried to get himself away from your clutches. His discomfort made you want to tear him away from them.
“Renata.” Your father spoke, his black eyes pierced at the direction of the brunette guard whom you never got along quite well.
A hand was placed upon your shoulder and suddenly, you couldn't move anymore. She held you tight and used her physical shield to make sure you cannot break free through her. “Release me!” You screamed. How could you save your mate if your own hands were tied? “What kind of a ploy is this?!” You spat at your father. Caius provided you nothing but a sneer.
“Watch.” Was all he said.
His cold strong fingers grabbed your jaw turning to the direction of your mate as Afton and Demetri held him by the two arms before Felix dug his fingers through his chest and ripped him off. Warm blood splattered all over your face and you felt like collapsing. “NO!” The scream was so loud. A different kind of feral energy took over. Renata struggled against you. What was it that you could do? He was dead. You watched with wide defeated eyes as Felix tore off the remains of your mate’s body. You hadn’t even known his name. Nothing was left for him to mourn. It was agony and pain.
Caius looked at you. His face splattered with your mate’s blood with his dirty smirk painted over his face.
Murderer, murderer, murderer.
It was almost as if he was laughing at you but you could hear nothing. All you could recall was the scream of pain your mate had let out. Renata dropped you on the ground as you fell to your knees watching Caius to torch the remains of your mate’s body.
“Fucking mutt.” He scoffed softly at whatever stench hit his nostrils. And you wished to throw him in the same fire. But you were restrained. Realizing Chelsea, Coron and Renata. The trio of manipulators all were present. Even your mother was. Athenodora watched you with a sorry look. At least, someone could feel your loss.
“Take her away, this is no child of mine who defies me.” Caius commanded. His hatred filled black eyes glaring at you sharply before he disappeared not knowing how you didn’t even see him as your father anymore.
You allowed yourself to be dragged by Renata and Alec to your mother who held you to get chest before you two left for her tower.
And ever since that day till now, Caius regretted everything. He really lost his child that day under the influence of malice. You never spoke or fed properly, allowing yourself to cease from existence just as he watched Marcus doing all those centuries. All because of the loss of a mate.
