I ran towards where my limo was suppose to be, only to find it not there.

Stupid limo. This isn't the time to disappear.

"Guys, it's Easter ! We're never going to find a ride at this time of the day."
Caden declared.
He's right. Everyone should be watching the Easter Egg Roll celebration at that moment.

"Looks like we have to make a run for it."
They started to protest, but I didn't listen, and began running. It wasn't long before I felt them following not so far behind.

We ran for what seems like forever. The boys kept stopping for breath, and we kept waiting for them.

However, we made it to the hospital.

After a good while of running and knocking our breath out.

We entered the hospital after.

A few minutes later, we were in Johnny's hospital room. I stared sadly at my best friend, who was on his hospital bed, unconscious.

How it hurt to see him like this.

There were a few bruises on his arm, and I assumed there were more. I wanted to ask what happened, but I was too upset and shocked to speak.
Hayden gave me a brief hug, for reassurance, I assumed.

I never thought I would see him like this.

By now, and I would've been stupid if I didn't realize it yet, there wouldn't be any time left to go to the Easter Egg Roll and surprise Barron.

Or would there ?

I sat with the others, close to the unconscious Johnny. We stared at him sadly, then at each other. And for the first time ever, there was nothing to be said.

Something is wrong. Deeply wrong.

I remembered Cameron's death for some reason, the time when I first heard the news.
When I entered the bathroom and started crying.
One thought led to another.

I had a vision that day. I kept remembering.
A picture of a terrorist standing in an empty lawn.

Suddenly, that lawn seemed quite familiar.
Where did I see it. Where did I see it..

Then the ugly truth hit me like a locomotive.

That lawn was where the Easter celebration is being held. Close to the White House.

Oh no.

All of a sudden, I felt scared for Barron's safety.
This was meant to happen right now. When everybody is busy with the Easter Egg Roll.

I stared in horror at nothing in particular.
What am I going to do ?
I got up from my seat, and hugged Lauren tightly.

"Lauren, I have to go. Can you please tell Johnny that I'll be here when he wakes up ?"
I took a step forward towards the door, when I realized what I just said.

"Actually, don't tell him that. That was stupid."
I gave Johnny a soft kiss on the top of his head, then rushed towards the door once again.
"I'll see you guys later. I'll be back as soon as I can."

Then I started running.
